Aloha Pizza & Shave Ice Company

The food used to be really good and worth the money, now I'm not going again. The food was average for only getting a pizza and wings. I ordered a Pele pizza and some of it had a lot of bacon which made it too crispy the other side had barely andy Portuguese sausage. I also ordered lava wings, they were big but had no sesame seeds, or cilantro, and had no flavor.

Finally stopped in for an early lunch after driving by for years, was not disappointed. We ended up with a custom 8 inch (personal size) regular crust, 12 inch Da Big Kahuna thin crust, and a garden salad with the house dressing. Everything was fresh and very tasty. Both crusts were solid, good texture, only complaint is I'm not a fan of extra salt/seasonings on crusts, but this certainly was not a deal breaker. Salad was super fresh. Staff was friendly and responsive. We'll be back!

Honestly just came here for the shave ice and it was exactly what we needed. The inside dining area is pretty huge. Loved that you can choose up to 3 flavors and add fresh fruit or other items. My favorite flavor was the green apple. Cool place for a little shave ice and good conversation with a friend.

Great shaved iced for our party, Sheri the owner was easy to work with and my guests loved the treat!

My husband and I are here a few years ago when it first opened. Always was great. This time it was just good. The pizza I got seemed to be missing the kick of the spice it had the last time I got the Sriracha chicken. It was still good. I added crushed red pepper to it. I think maybe the lady misunderstood me and thought I didn't want spicy. I love spicy! Anyway, she was super nice, though. I'm glad we revisited this place. Next time, I want to get some dessert. They have a big selection to choose from and it all sounded delicious!

Pizza was good. Missing some ingredients but decent. Large pizza. Half pepperoni but missing a lot. 13 pepperonis only and some slices had none. This was disappointing to say the least as my family was looking forward to a good pizza. Worth a try, but won't be back unfortunately.

Aloha Pizza and Shave Ice was something I saw while driving by on the way to my destination out of the corner of my eye ... when I got there I called and lucky enough I was just in the delivery area ... so excited after looking at their menu and deciding we were stoked ... pizza showed up quick and the driver was super friendly and genuinely appreciated the tip we gave ... the food was FANTASTIC!!! We weren't sure how the mango would taste on pizza, but it was great! The wings were scrumptious and the ribs were outstanding with so much flavour packed into them, makes me wish I was visiting Hawaii and not SoCal ...

This place is a staple in my regular routine! I've only ever picked up pizza so I can't speak too much about the ambiance other than it has a very beach house/island vibe to it which is nice. The service is amazing. I've called multiple times on my way home to pick up a large pepperoni pizza (with extra pepperonis, obviously) And for a specific time. Every single time it's a non-issue, and the pizza has been ready for me 9/10 right when I showed up. I think the only time it wasn't was when they were slammed and even then I only waited less than 5-minutes. This is my favorite local pizza spot. The cheese action, the flavor of the pizza. It just gives you that hometown pizza taste that makes you tell all of your friends who live out of town about it. If my wife ever asks me where I want to grab pizza this is always my first choice. The lava wings and volcano wings are a delicious and fresh flavor from other hot-wing alternatives.

I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious this pizza was. The crust is crispy edge but has a soft side. They are very generous with the toppings. The flavors were so well put together. The garlic shrimp was also very good. So excited to have found this is SoCal We also had the shaved ice and it wasn't the best but it still hit the spot. I will definitely be back to try the other pizzas

This review is based only on the shave ice. Some of the best around. My favorite is the the Hawaiian rainbow which is pictured below. So many good flavors and the mochi and rainbow sherbet ice cream on bottom tops it off. Lots of tables inside as well as a few outdoor tables. Service is good enough.

I was in the area and decided to drop in for lunch. But even as I was driving, I didn't think I would be able to eat an entire 12" pizza. " Guess what ? " Aloha Pizza now sells 8" pizzas (individual sized, cut into four slices). And if you visit between 11am and 2pm, they have a lunch special -- an 8" pizza with a small side salad. (The cost of the lunch special depends on what type of pizza you order.) As it turned out, the lunch special was perfect for this solo diner. And the pizza quality was as good as previous visits. Just letting you all know.

First time here! The person working the register today was so sweet & calm! She also delivered our food and water to the table. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Decor reminds us of being in HI. we got the garlic shrimp (comes w rice) and pineapple ribs (no sides). Both delish! Recommend both. Going back for some pizza and shaved I've next time! *I must say the garlic shrimp is not exactly like some of the food truck ones we tried in Oahu, but it's pretty close. And it IS delicious! If you are looking for your HI fix, this is the spot.

The Uncle's Kalua Pie is one of the BEST PIZZA's I've ever had. The ingredients on the pizza didn't appeal to me but luckily I tried it and fell in love with this place. The Chinese chicken salad here is so delicious and goes well with the pizza. You definitely have to give this place a try and you will not regret it. Pizza 5 out of 5 Salad 4out of 5

The restaurant is good. It is very clean open. But they have a of a storage issue that needs addressing. The service was fine, friendly and polite but they don't seem to move very fast. The food. I enjoyed the pizza called Da Panilolo (The Cowboy). The toppings are delicious and a great combo. 808 wings had great flavor but they were a bit dry. The garlic shrimp, I thought they were good, but my dad and sister tried and didn't like it, said it tasted too much like ocean and the seasoning was out of balance. Verdict - I will go back for the pizza.

We should go on a hot summer day and you want some cold and sweet? Yeah, Aloha Pizza & Shave Ice! Rainbow shave ice with a scoop of vanilla ice cream in the middle sure hit the spot. Perfectly sweetened shaved ice infused with bits of pineapple and made with soft fluffy Hawaiian water. Their small was a size big enough to share. Service was great and location is easy to get to. Next time? I'll try their Hawaiian style pizza.

My husband and I stopped in on a Friday evening for a pizza date, not having been in since before the pandemic. There was plenty of seating and there were no other dine-in customers so we had the whole place to ourselves (by the time we left, two other families had come in). We ordered one half and half pizza to split and a couple of drinks and it cost around $30 for the two of us to eat. It took us FOREVER to get the pizza (though I do fully recognize that time moves much slower when you're hungry); it turned out that our pizza had accidentally made it into a box instead of being delivered to our table, so it was sitting there for a little while before the people behind the counter figured out what had happened. The employee was apologetic when she eventually brought us the pizza. Luckily, it was still warm and it was absolutely delicious. We tried: Uncle's Kahlua Pie -- like a BBQ pizza, but with Kahlua pork and mango. Everything about this one was SO good. Da' Big Kahuna -- essentially a supreme style pizza, only with garlic chicken, Portuguese sausage instead of Italian sausage, and jalapeno instead of mushroom. It was spicy and salty and really tasty. Ambience-wise, the space is just a low-key spot. There's some clutter along the walls due to how they're currently having to store stuff, but you're honestly going there for some grub.

... I ate about $3 worth, but maybe they should have told me their shave ice feeds a family of 4...cuz it's not like you can save shave ice for later... The texture was like Hawaiian kine, the Aunties were very accommodating and nice but JUST SO YOU KNOW... bring a few friends if you want to try their special flavors. I totally should have questioned the size of a $13 shave ice, but I was so excited... I didn't.

So this is not a rating for the food, this is strictly for management / owners. Came here around 11:36. The girl working behind the counter was on the phone (clearly working by herself doing everything herself) but still didn't even wave or anything to acknowledge us. As soon as she got off the phone she was in the back making the pizza. We came up to the counter to order after we were sitting for 10 minutes looking at the paper menu (we were the only ones in here) and waiting for her to get done, because she was the only worker and the to go order was before us. ( obviously, Understandable) we stood there for about 5-10 minutes never once said anything to us. Not one word. Instead of helping us, she took another phone call order even though clearly we got there ahead of the phone call order and was standing there at the counter She got off the phone and instead of helping us, she asked the two people that immediately came in and was there for 30 seconds, are you here for pick up? And acknowledge them, but not us. Which we were clearly there first and already there for 15 minutes at that point This was absolutely disgusting. First off, if this place is so popular and it's a Friday why do you have only one girl doing everything? We were there about 20 minutes total. And she didn't say ONE word to us. I'm guessing they do most of their business over the phone since that's all they care about Even though she was clearly busy, you can still smile or wave. Did not even acknowledge us. It was absolutely ridiculous. I wouldn't come here ever again

On Friday June 14, 2024 my co-worker and I went to this place to get our lunch at about 11:00. There was a lady and a man working there. The man was scrubbing the oven and the lady was on the phone. We should have left but thought it would be rude. No one came and took our order. So we said, "hello" so the man came and took our orders. It's now 11:35 and no food I went to ask if our food was ready. Oh my goodness it was and it was on the shelf all this time with us sitting in front of him!!!!! He gave us our foods. I also ordered two drinks with ice to go. He gave me the soda cans and I asked may I please have 2 cups of ice. He went to the back with the cups and my friend took the food to the car so we can gulf it down before lunch is over. He didn't seem to care nor rush. Guess what!!!!!! He came back and said we are out of ice!!! I was upset and shocked !!! This place sells SHAVED ICE AND you run out of ice at 11:35!!! Wow, we will sure not come back to this place!!! Don't come here if it's hot and you want a cold iced drink!!! Esp for shaved ice!!! I should have read the 1 star reviews and not the 4 stars.

Usually the pizza is pretty good here but today my pizza came out burnt and was very dry. My kids could barley even eat it

Great tasting pizza and super friendly staff. The ingredients tasted fresh the couple of times I've had the pizza. Highly recommend the pizza.

My family and I regularly eat here on the weekends and the food is amazing! We especially love the Kamehameha as well as the Classic Hawaiian as the toppings are delicious and the pizzas overall are well-made. They also give out free cheese and pepper which can't be said the same for other pizza places in the area. The service is amicable and the wait time is a little on the high side but not too bad all things considered. Would definitely recommend to anybody looking for a good pizza and shaved ice combo!

Cleanliness - They follow social distancing and COVID-19 guidelines and precautions, therefore, take out only. There are picnic tables where we enjoyed our Ono food. Value - Great selection and price. Big portions. Wait time - Items are freshly prepared and worth the wait. Taste - We had Uncle's Customer service - Great

Our favorite pizza place in South Bay. The pizza quality is vastly superior to those chain pizza restaurants. Meat Lovers, Classic Hawaiian, Cheesy Bread, are our favorites. I am glad they have stayed open for the years I've been coming back, and survived the C19 shutdowns. Support local businesses!

I would say it's my fault for expecting too much. I hate to leave a bad review but I just didn't like the shrimp. I really thought that I would. I asked for extra garlic and got extra garlic on the rice lol. I expected the shrimp to taste like Hawaii North Shore and it fell far off, and not just short. The service was amazing. Very friendly staff. Clean place. Happy place. But this shrimp was just not for me. The 3 stars are just for the shrimp. One day I will try their pizza. I can bet that tastes beyond delicious.

Love the "uncles Kalua pie" ! Ingredients always fresh and worth the extra cost over chain pizza places like Pizza Hut or dominos. Other pizza places don't compare IMO. They also have the friendliest employees! Keep up the Aloha :)

Was in the area and had this spot saved on my places to try. We already ate before stopping by but wanted to atleast try their shaved ice. Sooooo glad we did! The service was great and the ambiance/environment made me feel at home. Loved the music and how laid back it felt. I ordered the lanikai sunset shave ice to share with the hubby. It was HUGE, sooooooo good & hit the spot. Perfect cool dessert. Definitely making the drive again to return for their shave ice one again and to finally try one of their pizzas

Whoever was in charge of posting the sign was not responsible to come back and take it down and reopen. So that's thorns to management and employees for not being on top of their responsibility.

Couple guys from my job ordered Aloha Pizza and I was impressed how good this pizza taste. We called in our order and upon arrival my pizza was ready. Mahalo for the delicious pizza and next time I'll try the shave ice.

My family and I frequent Aloha Pizza for the shaved ice. Since they never disappoint, we decided to have them cater our son's first birthday party. Sherri effortlessly did her thing while keeping everyone cool in the heat! She made every combination available , while assuring guest got 2nds and 3rds of shaved ice, if desired. Sherri and her crew were awesome; very friendly and efficient which made Aloha Pizza the highlight of an Amazing party! (((11/10 recommend)))

Can't believe it took me so long to find this place. South bay adventures continue! Granted I only been in the area for a year and half but still so many places I have yet to discover including Aloha Pizza. Honestly, one of the best fusion-style pizzas I ever had and at an affordable price and superb quality. Ordered on a Sunday and decided to do a 12in half-and-half on the Kamehameha (supreme) and the kalua pie. The wait wasn't so long despite the crowd and the drive home was painful just knowing I couldn't eat a slice quite yet. Finally the moment came and I took my very first bite of the kalua pie. All I can say is call and order this NOW. Just do it. Don't even question me. The kamehameha was absolutely amazing for a supreme. I don't gravitate towards supreme pizzas in general but this one was hefty and so savory. Probably the only supreme I'll eat. Can see why people love this. I do have a favorite (go kalua!) but honestly I don't think you can go wrong. Their other creations seem just as delicious and they even sell shave ice! The shave ice was the first thing I got a while back and it felt like I was back on my Hawaiian vacation. Will be back for more!

This time we got the #5 Uncle's Kalua Pie and boy let me tell you, it's so delicious. I can't stop eating it. My co-worker and I were stuffing our face. I met the owner today who gave me a sample of the shaved ice. Wow, pretty good. I'm a fan. We chatted for a bit, nice lady. 5/5 again.

Randomly driving by and we saw this place had shave Hawaiian ice. It super huge inside and they have lots of food options. We only came for the shave ice. Loved that they have so many flavors and you can pick from a small size to a large size. We ended up getting two small shave ice since we wanted different flavors. They have extra toppings and fresh fruits to pick from. A great place for a nice chat and enjoying some bomb shave ice.

Always fantastic! We love the Pele and the bbq chicken pizza... but everything is great! Always fresh and delicious and ready at requested pickup time.

Omg the best pizza hands down !! My hubby and I have been on the search for a good pizza place in the South Bay and this is it ! Great portion size and flavors , definitely coming back !

They recently catered in my cousins party last August 12th. The shaved ice was a hit! All the flavors were delicious! My favorite was the Coconut and Pineapple. Both representatives (didn't get their names ), were very accommodating and friendly! Have yet to visit the actual place and try their pizza and chicken Highly recommended!!!

Very flavorful pizza. Thin pizza nice and crispy. Orders over the phone super easy to place. Location is nice and spacious.

Extra 4% charge for all credit cards plus $5 minimum for each transaction. - Waited 54 minutes to receive one order of shave ice. A simple order, size Regular with three syrup flavors, nothing extra. - Prior visit waited over 1 hour for one shave ice. - After todays long wait, was disappointed to find the center of the shave ice white--not enough syrup. The customers before us had to go back to request more syrup. The shave ice on the table next us was 50% white. The shave ice machine model and brand is able to shave 5.5 lbs of ice per minute. During the 54 minute wait only two customers were served. What is going on, Aloha Pizza? The staffing and operational issues need to be addressed and changed! Used to love this place. Seems like things are going down hill. They have not maintained the decor over the years. Throwing cloth over the 6 foot clutter doesn't help. Lots of flies indoors. Pizzas are still good, $27 for large. Parking is never an issue.

I usually don't write reviews, but, I must say, that I had to after The incredible service that I receive from Aloha pizza, business, and staff. Just want to say, that the service is remarkable, and me and son love coming here to and get the tasty shaved ice. Also, the great catering service, that Mrs Sherri, and her daughter provided for my son's school, was incredible. The professionalism, that Kai showed the staff, at my sons school was truly amazing. Thanks to aloha pizza, for being awesome, and there great staff...Thanks to the crew for always being so welcoming, when we come.

Will never come here again, ordered my pizza, ONLY ONE, over the phone, showed up had to wait an additional hour because my pizza was not ready. Was asked 3 times what I ordered after being charged an hr before and told my pizza was almost ready. Not worth the wait and bad customer service.

Came here for the KAMEHAMEHA pizza since as a dragon ball z fan the name had me sold XD The pizza looked as the name sounded (like a mouthful) but was amazing beyond expectations. Will come back to try other items but the pizza impressed me and I'm not easily impressed by most pizza spots so bravo

Authentic Hawaiian Shave Ice. We got vanilla ice cream, banana and condensed milk. It was Delicious!

When we decided to have a Hawaiian Retirement Party, I thought of shaved ice to complete the theme. It was a week before the event and I contacted Aloha Pizza and Shave Ice to inquire about catering. Sheri, the owner, immediately responded and was so nice and cheerful on the phone. I was so curious to meet her and so I stopped by their restaurant. Oh wow! I instantly felt the hospitality and welcoming attitude that I received during my visit, considering a lot of customers they were serving that day. The staff were awesome and friendly too! I ordered the Hawaiian bbq wings and shaved ice. Oh my! They were so yummy! You have to try it! Thank you, Sheri and Ken for completing the Hawaiian theme to my Retirement Party last 8/13/23. My family and friends really enjoyed the shave ice and the Aloha attitude you have given them. Can't thank you enough! Mahalo and hope you'll cater to one of our events again. I highly recommend Aloha Pizza and Shave Ice located at 1534 W. Artesia Blvd. Gardena. Awesome food and awesome staff!

We ate the 808 Wings, Aloha Hawaiian Chicken Salad & Hawaiian Pizza... the food was so good. Aunty Sheri's shaved ice was a great way to finish our meal. Restaurant was clean and the service was excellent!

Oh boy. Ken,Sherri and family are some of the nicest people. Ever. Pizza is good, but I go for the shave ice. Sherri's special is like a little, naa a big bowl of indescribable yummyness (is that a word?) the large will feed like 18 people (maybe not but it feels like it) you won't want to share with 17 others tho. Come for the pie, stay for the shave ice Or the other way around because you want to save room for the shave ice!

Customer service was so polite. I really felt her aloha spirit. We went just for shaved ice and it was so soft and fluffy! Love Hawaiian shaved ice!

We ordered the Aunty Sheri's Special Shaved Ice (strawberry syrup, vanilla ice cream, fresh strawberries and mangoes, condensed milk, and mochi). It was delicious with generous portions! We weren't able to finish it with 2 people, I recommend getting it to share with 3-4 people. Next we will try their pizzas!

We still love Aloha Pizza after all these years. The food is consistently good and Sheri always makes sure her customers are happy. My son requested Aloha Pizza for yet another birthday celebration yesterday. Thank you so much for hosting us and allowing our big family to gather together in your space. Until next time! :)

We love Aloha Pizza for several reasons but two in particular are their unique & ono food and stellar customer service. My family and I always feel the Aloha spirit when dining here. During this visit, my fiance and I had a shave ice tasting for our upcoming wedding! Aunty Sheri and the lovely ladies made sure we were well taken care of. The soft ice, island flavors, and fresh toppings are top notch. Our favorite flavors were mango, lychee, POG, and lilikoi! We had such a great experience at Aloha Pizza and are looking forward to sharing the aloha through ono shave ice at our wedding!

First time here today, we got the Make It Local pizza (ham pineapple and Portuguese sausage), 808 wings and some shaved ice and OMG everything is so delicious! The crust was divine on the pizza, the wings tasted like a flavor bomb according to my kid, and the shaved ices were delicious! Employees were also super friendly! Definitely will be back! Great pizza and authentic island style shave ice. We like the unique Kahlua chicken pizza. Perfect solo lunch size pizza too. A hidden gem with hardworking owner and staff. Awesome chicken salad. Fav shave ice- "Paradise" (guava, lilikoi & coconut) with vanilla ice cream on bottom. Ono-licious!

The last time we were going to order Aloha they didn't have a driver available for delivery. We thought it was on the pricier side pre pandemic. Now it's out of hand. Pick up in usually smooth and the food is always bomb but damn. You win some, you lose some, I guess.
