Alondra Animal Hospital

I’ve been taking my boys to Alondra since Sept 2021. A friend referred them to me and i immediately knew this was the vet for me! Dr. Antoun is so knowledgeable and takes his time to actually talk and listen to you. He’s never tried to rush through an exam/consultation and has always addressed my concerns. Under his care, i know my boys are in good hands. I’ve referred my friends to Alondra as well. I wish i could find an MD for myself like him. The staff is friendly and the office as a whole has always gone above and beyond as if that’s the normal thing to do when i call with questions or go in for a visit. It seems like a great environment to work in. They remember my name as well as my boys. It’s a clean, affordable, well run establishment with lots of friendly faces that make you and your furkids feel like family.

The staff and doctors are amazing, they communicate with you on whats best for your dog rather then trying to make you spend money. They help me have more time with my elderly dog and I truly appreciate and thank them. We found our new vet spot. Marley thanks you and so do I.

Dr. A is the kind of vet every pet owner hopes to find. He took such amazing care of my dog and made us feel seen and supported the whole time. You can tell he really loves what he does; he’s kind, calm, and incredibly thoughtful. I’m so grateful for the way he treated our pup like his own.

My 7yr old chihuahua was uneasy, I called Alondra Animal Hospital and they helped me, from the amazing team work (staff) and the Doctor was very detailed and comprehensive. Thank you, Alondra Hospital, staff and Doctor 🫶

I took my dog to to remove a foxtail from his eye, the showed that there were two. He is doing fine but after his visit he came out death…I thought giving him ear clear drops just in case his ears had wax build up, He was supposedly getting a full check up and the vet didn’t mention anything about his ears being clogged. it’s been 3 days and my pup still acts like he can’t hear me. He normally responds when I say to him “where’s your cookie”? but he doesn’t wag his tail, no ear movement nothing! I m afraid to take him back, I’m wondering if I am being set-up to use my pup as a means to create more revenue!

I took my little Poppy in for her anal glands and added a nail trim. They are very good with her and her medical issues. It was early so they got her in and out. They are always very nice and pretty quick. I really like this place.

The front desk staff and veterinarian team are nice and responsive. I appreciated the detailed descriptions of my dogs issues and the choices given for treatment. I’ve been going to Alondra for at least 6 years and I’m glad we are post Covid and I can stay with my pet during the exam. The mailer reminders really help.

I love bringing my puppy 🐶 Bella to Alondra Animal Hospital; because I feel she's getting really good care here. She's not even scared or shaking when we arrive. The staff are very friendly caring and professional and her Veterinarian George is exceptional. Not to mention I really like that they are affordable!

Super caring staff. Only animal hospital i will use going forward. Thanks guys! Unfortunately my last visit was to euthanize my good friend Curly. Compassionate, empathetic Vets and a terrific surgeon to boot. Can't say enough good things about this place...

Alondra has taken care of all my 5 pets i have had. I no longer have my animals but all through each of their lives, I took them to Alondra for everything. They are very affordable! Thank you Dr.Pio, Dr. A and Bill for all your help all these years!

This is a way overdue review. I've been going to Alondra since it was BerMar Pet Hospital. And while the name and location might have change the service has always remained the same. They were there when my first furbaby was born and they were there to help me say goodbye to him too. Dr. A has always been kind, respectful, caring and above all always willing answer all my concerns. Even though I know I was being a bit much. I over reacted when my babies don't feel well. The staff has always been supportive, friendly and helpful. Management has always gone above and beyond to accommodate my pets needs. They have always found a way to make things extremely affordable to everyone. You can tell that the animals needs always comfort first for them. My furbabies are always happy to see the staff. And if that doesn't tell you what a great place it is I don't know what else will.

My dog Lola isn't scared when we show up to see Dr. Antoun. She is excited regardless of why we are visiting! We started visiting Alondra Animal Hospital when Lola was a puppy. From the first checkup to the "she ate something" visit, every experience has been great. Another indication of a great business is the happy staff and customers. Everyone is friendly, polite and there because of their shared love for animals.

Caring staff & caring doctors! Personal service to the max! My very senior dog is part of our family. It matters who I take her to. These folks are top notch! Thanks to Mary I found you guys!

The good is that Dr. Pio still practices once a week. As I critique Alondra Animal Hospital, just a few days after taking our dog in for her yearly Vaccinations, Wellness Check, a drop or two of ear medicine, AND 4 Vaccinations later....a WHOPPING $300.00 bill was put in front of me!!!! Is this correct I asked? That's with a Senior Discount!!!! This place is getting ridiculously EXPENSIVE!!!! When Dr. Pio was running the place by himself, he would ALWAYS give us a break in price. We've been patronizing this place for over 40 YEAR'S!!!! We might have to change Vetenarians before our dogs' next series of Vaccinations. There's just NO LOVE in this World anymore....SAD.

The last straw for this facility. I took Missy in for a flea shot. While there, I asked if they would also clip her nails. Oh, they did - way too short. They literally cut into the quick of her nails! All of them - so it was intentional.

Have been coming here for years and this has been the best pet hospital. Everyone is very helpful and welcoming. The doctors (Dr. A) and staff are honestly the best. I unfortunately had one fur baby pass away last year and they were very helpful with everything special thank you for Chris for all the accommodations. And this year I had to put down my other as he was no longer doing well. I cannot be thankful enough for everything everyone did for me and my family when going through that very hard time. Dr Antoun is the best. he never tries to upsell. He lets you know what is wrong with your animal and he lets you know what it's going to take to take care of it. And the techs in the back are always polite and helpful. And ever since they changed general manager/office manager the atmosphere has changed for the better

Great animal hospital. Can always feel confident my dogs are in the best hands when I leave them for their visits.

Have taken my dog 3 times for ear infection and the issue continues apparently they don't know how to treat it. But sure know how to charge $

Staff is very friendly and they knowledgable. The dr easily identified the problem in my dog ( hernia) and was able to successfully do surgery to repair it. Beast (my dog) couldn't be happier thanks to them :)

I can't thank everyone at Alondra/Bermar enough. Not only did they take care of my puppy from the time he first come home, but they were also there 16 years later when he took his last breath. And now thanks to Chris their manager and Dr A I finally have another doggie in my life. They always try and help as much as they can. Their pricing has always been reasonable. In this difficult time they still manage to make it affordable to have furbabies.

What can I say about this place? We've been coming here for years for all of our pet needs for routine check ups and flea treatments. Unfortunately we experienced two big emergencies this year with our senior boxer. Each time, Dr. A has helped us through the scary parts. Our latest issue was our dog was attacked by another dog, and pretty badly bitten. We called on Thursday morning to see if they could take him in on an emergency basis. Front desk staff made no promises but said to call back later and they'd do all they could. Thankfully, he was able to be squeezed in. Dr. A's advice is always sound, never EVER has tried to upsell us on anything. Our old guy has a long journey to go but we feel confident in the treatment we were given. I can't thank Dr. A and the front desk staff enough for all their help over the years. It's hard to find honest vets with exceptional customer service. I look forward to many more years of putting our pets in their care. Hats off you, Alondra staff!

Im so relieved to have this amazing vet to go to. My dog's ear healed beautifully. I wouldn't hesitate to return to this facility. The staff is amazing!!

I've taken 2 of my dogs there and the girls at the front desk are very friendly and helpful! One even gave me an exotic vet where I can take my ferret to. I've picked up flea medication here a few times. I'm in and out in 20mins. Will definitely be bringing my dog here for her first check up.

My dog turned 17 yesterday, which is three years over the typical life span of his breed. He got very sick at the end of 2023. He had tumor, he had lost his appetite, and had grown very lethargic. Dr. Antoun and team took such loving care of him when he was hospitalized and took out his tumor. His health is quite good despite his age. I am very grateful to the team at Alondra Animal Hospital. They have always treated us well and above all took care of our special family member. I highly recommend Dr. A. He cares and he is very smart. Andrea

Don't take your pet here. Too many clients. Long wait times and the receptionists don't have the greatest attitudes. Again people; if you don't like your job, find another to where you can provide good customer service. Now onto the issue. Took my Cavapoo to this place yesterday because he's been favoring his back left leg lately. Not really jumping around like usual. I'm thinking he injured himself or something. Didn't have an appointment but they told me to bring him in as a walk-in around 10:30am. I left him and left a call back number for them to update me on his status. Several hours later, my wife had to call to get an update. Which was around 2:30pm. The rude receptionist told my wife that he STILL haven't been seen. Doctor will see him in about 30 mins. Receptionist call back in about 30 mins and told my wife they didn't see anything wrong with him. Vitals is ok. Range of motion checked out, dog seem perfectly normal according to them. Now on to today. Clearly, it's something wrong with my dog. He's favoring his leg even more this morning. Couldn't really tell yesterday but more so today. Now I'm wondering, did they even check his range of motion or anything else. Long story short, they have too many hiccups with their operation. It's also a plethora of other options out there for your pet(s). Just do your research and find another Vet Clinic that take pride in providing good customer service and making sure your pet is healthy.

I called so many places when my cat Cudi had urinary tract obstruction. They were booked for the day but thankfully squeezed him in that morning. My cat wasn't gonna make it another day. Now he's home and better and they were very informative and super reasonable with price. Thank you again.

I had a great experience here. Dr. Antoun is very knowledgeable. He found out what was wrong with my puppy when another vet couldn't. They are very thorough and will take the best care of your pet. This clinic is a little far from me but it's worth the drive.

They do their work. You pay them money ..very average, like most.. all about profit no compassion services here ..dont even ask . What happened to concern for the animal ... but i do get why vet is an option to lawyer but they are one and the same...PAY ME ..sad

Avoid at all costs! If you care about your pet I advise you to stay away from this facility. I would especially avoid Dr. Dabash! I was dealing with an emergency and was hung up on several times, the staff spoke over me while I expressed my concerns and showed no remorse for my pets well being. I have been going to Alondra Hospital for over a decade, I'd been a loyal customer spending thousands of dollars on visits and recommendations from the doctors yet when I experienced an emergency they refused to take my pet.

Dr. Dabash does not care about the well being of your pet. She refused to see my wife's elderly pet but argued with my wife on the phone for over 15 minutes. Completely unprofessional and she could've have seen my wife's pet for as long as she went back and forth with her. Highly recommend to take your pet else where!

I really wish Dr. Dabash was a little more aggressive with her recommendations for treatment. Dr. Antoun saw my fur baby and immediately did a battery of tests to find out what's causing his lethargy and other symptoms. He did say the results weren't going to be available until the next day and mentioned he wasn't going to be available. "But Dr. Dabash will be on hand and will explain the results." I'm not a fan of Dr. Dabash (see my previous review dated 1/29/18) so I wasn't too thrilled with that. But since I didn't really have a choice, then, be it. That same night, Flash ended up in the hospital because he got worse - bad enough to run an IV as well as a blood transfusion. Lab results came out the next day. There were multiple abnormalities, and some Dr. Dabash's assessments? Rule out pancreatitis, rule out heartworm, observe at home, "hospital for IV fluids if needed." IF needed?! Well, hell, he was ALREADY at the hospital and that's her assessment?! This clearly tells me she didn't follow up on his current status or asked about where he was at that point. I'd bet her assessment would have been completely different had she known he was already admitted in the ER. We found out Flash's condition was grave when we learned he had hemangiosarcoma. He succumbed to it a few days later. But I would strongly NOT recommend Dr. Dabash to anyone. If the idea of coming through here comes to mind, SEE DR. ANTOUN. And I would like to thank Dr. Antoun for doing a follow up call a few days after I lost my fur baby and expressing his sympathies. I appreciate that more than anything. I would also like to thank the staff of Alondra Animal Hospital for caring for Flash for the duration I had him. They were excellent at everything - reminders, follow ups, even sending Flash birthday cards. You guys are amazing. I will be rescuing another dog, and although that won't be anytime soon, I'll make sure Dr. Antoun comes to mind for its healthcare.

If i could I'd give this place 0 stars for terrible customer service i would. On September 22 at 5:47pm i called, the receptionist was rude, and unprofessional but i looked past that as my dog needs to see a veterinarian! I was on the phone for 8 minutes supposedly booking me a appointment for today October 2nd at 130pm. I call Alondra Animal Hospital today the day of the appointment to confirm on October 2nd at 832am and am on the phone for 12minutes as the Receptionist today tells me there's no record of my appointment. So you guys had me wait 2 weeks for what reason?! And to fix this problem you tell me the Dr can "squeeze" me in and see 2 dogs at the same time? That does NOT sound practical or like you'll be giving my dog or the other dog the proper time to evaluate them and you just want money.

We bring our pup here and they've always been great. Its well run, organized and we love our doctor, Dr. Debash. She is very informed, always explains everything very clearly, and we never feel rushed. I highly recommend them!

The worst vet clinic by far. The receptionist with very little information on your pets status and all they can tell you is, the doctor will cal you whenever she's seen your dog, which was not helpful. No appointments available for weeks, and the drop off option sounded convenient but not when your dog has to stay 8 7 hours + . Dropped of my dog before 8 am and 4PM came around and vet had not seen my dog, nor could they give me an estimation of when my dog would be seen. According the receptionist "vet is on her own schedule & leaves at 4Pm when they close at 6PM. Which is not helpful nor does it show the urgency of your pets visit and shows that the receptionist and doctor don't coordinate their day. Ended up taking my dog to Holly Park pet clinic located on El segundo and Van ness and waited for a total of 45 minutes to get seen. Wouldn't recommend this place plus vaccinations are over priced. Holy park vet clinic charges half the prices for the same vaccinations.

We have been going to Alondra Animal Hospital for over 20 years and they are wonderful with our dogs. The staff is very knowledgeable and very customer service oriented!

Do you see any negative reviews directed at Dr. Antoun here? That's right. I found my perfect doctor and our perfect manager, Ms. Tahnee for my two fur babies. My big baby came back home yesterday from his second surgery with Dr. Antoun for treating nose discharge called Aspergillus. All I can say is Dr. Antoun and Ms.Tahnee is phenomenal. Dr. Antoun truely cares about animals & us and he's thorough. And I did not even ask yet he tried his best to lower my cost. I'm touched. Thank you Dr. Antoun and Ms. Tahnee.

Dr. George Antoun has been our vet for over 13 years and I cannot say enough GREAT things about him! He's professional, loving to animals and really does care! He's helped us countless times with our dog and we are forever grateful. He's the best, I promise! I recently had the chance to visit with Dr. Dabash and she's wonderful as well! Thank you to everyone at Alondra Pet Hospital for always taking such great care of my dog Miss Party.

My friend recommended me this place and I am so glad she did. My dog had a ear problem and I took her to her previous vet and they said there is a foxtail stuck in ear and they asked for so much money so I came home and looked for other options. my friend at the gym recommended Alondra Animal hospital. When I called they asked me to bring her next day 7.30 am . God I felt so good . And very very reasonable price. Other place asked 2 times more than Alondra Animal hospital. So I highly recommend this place. Great service and fast.

The ladies at the front desk are so helpful and nice. Doctor was informative as well. Lobby is clean. Brought in Junior for a check up and was in and out. Thanks ladies!!

I've been going here for several years now and am always impressed with the vets here. They are caring and really share their time with you to explain issues with your dogs health. I even get phone calls after from the vets inquiring if treatment is going according to plan. Are they inexpensive? I can say they are very reasonable and you get your dollars worth here. They will give you options if money is a big concern of yours. I have been to several other vets throughout the years, in better locations and nicer buildings, but the service and quality of care is not any better and more expensive. Right now with the covid isolation directives in place, they only take phone call appointments with pet drop offs only and you have to wait outside the front door for them to come out to you. The doctor will call you to find out the health issues you are having with your pet. I had to return a few hours later to pick-up my dog and his meds. Again I had to call at the front door and they came out with my dog. So be sure to have your cel phone with you. I did notice, that they are remodeling the inside of the office at this time which is a good thing. The outside front of the building could use some brushing up too, but hey, the care and prices are good. That is what is important to me the most. 5 stars!

They always are friendly and take great care of our dog. The prices are reasonable and they keep us informed of any developments while in their care.

Dr. Amoun is amazing and took his time to explain my dog's condition. He was polite and used laymen's terms. I'm coming back.

Update: Dr. Antoun followed up with me after hearing from his staff what was going on the next day. He sincerely apologized on behalf of his staff and let us know that he took further action to train his employees to review all labels. I appreciated that he took the time to listen and took further action to reassure us this wouldn't happen again.

Brought my dog here on Friday afternoon and afterwards I noticed he wasn't feeling well since the vet visit. I was wondering if maybe the medication they prescribed him was making him ill. Called them Tuesday morning and asked if we could please bring him in and they said they would call us back to see if they could squeeze us in that day. We waited for hours for them to call us back, so we called back to inquire and the woman who answered was so rude and said if our pet was so bad to just take him to an emergency hospital and hung up. Sad to say that our pet passed away last night. We had been coming here for years when Dr. Pío was here and we never had any issues. We have other pets and we will not be coming back. I hope they can train their staff to not be so unprofessional and heartless when people are just trying to find care for their pets.

Alondra Animal Hospital is the only place I would take my pet to. My pug has been under the care of Dr. Antoun since we brought her home at 6 weeks old and she will be 10 years old in a few months. Although we have seen his colleagues from time to time when he was unavailable his opinion is of the most value to me and I always know he has my fur baby's best interests in mind. Many of his staff members followed him from his original office in Inglewood and they are all super friendly and professional. Vet care can add up very quickly but I always feel like The prices are reasonable and I never feel pressured to buy into services that are not necessary. The outside of the building could use some love but don't let that deter you; the inside is filled with love and people who have a real passion for animals.

I have been a client of Alondra Animal Hospital for 16 years. All off the doctors have been knowledgeable, professional and truly care about our pets. The staff works really hard at providing efficient and pleasant service. I take my two girls there, a Jack Russell and Rottweiler, and when I pick them up from a visit I never feel like they were nervous or scared or hesitant even to go back to the vet. The groomers are wonderful and always have the girls ready on time. The website it very helpful too. You can order your pets meds right on line and have them delivered to your home. There is parking in the front and more in the rear. I've referred some of my family to Alondra and they were happy too. Pay them a visit. You will not be disappointed!

I have been a client of Alondra Animal Hospital for over 15 years. The doctors and staff are always pleasant, professional, caring, knowledgeable and efficient. My girls, Cocoa and Bernie, even though they probably don't enjoy going to the vet, never resist going in and are always calm and attentive when I pick them up. Also, the doctors are really informative, responsive and patient. Pay them a visit. You will not be disappointed.

I've been coming here for years when Dr. Pio was the veterinarian, but I called today at 7:30 am because my dog had hives. They said to call back after 9:30 am and maybe they can squeeze me in. They told me that if my dog is having a problem, I should take her to emergency. I didn't see why they couldn't have squeezed me in when I called. Unfortunately, I will no longer be coming here. For the past few visits, I've been disappointed with the service. It's just not the same.

Staff friendly and drs. Very knowledgeable, taken care of our beasts for 20 plus years. Always give you options to decide from.

I am lucky I found Alondra, they were recommend to me by an adoption agency. I was a client of Center Sinai for many years, which was known for being a lower cost vet, however over the years their prices kept going up and up rivaling the cost of VCA, etc. Alondra's staff and docs are super nice, very easy to work with. I find their fees reasonable and not over the top. If you're looking for a new vet, definitely consider Alondra.

It is time to give a real review of this place. Both Dr Antoun and Dr Dabash are great and I don't have any issue with them but the receptionists are always rude and unprofessional as well as one of big guy of the kennel assistants. He is a big Hispanic guy, rude and very rough on the dog. My dog was having a lot of pain, and when he came to take him in during Covid, he dragged my dog in there and all I can do was cry and of cause I can't say much and afraid that he will hurt him even more especially when I can't go in side to see how he handled him. When I picked my dog and brought him home, he appeared to even have more pain. These incidents happened more than once otherwise I would not be writing this review. I have switched to another animal hospital, and both receptionists and the handlers are very nice to my pet. Please get rid of these people and hire real people who love and truly care for animal and not just working for pay check.

I brought my baby Bassett Hound so they can check what seems to be a kennel cough. Dr. A (I think it's Abash) was phenomenal , explained what was going on, very thorough and extremely kind over the phone. You can tell she loves her job! She definitely put me at ease with my baby and my concerns. I feel so relieved with the course of treatment and glad I came here. What a gem of a place and I'm happy I am supporting my neighborhood business. Thank you Alondra Animal Hospital for having great staff and for being careful with Covid.

Amazing office staff and vet, Dr Antoun . I would recommend this office to all of my friends. The office is clean and inviting. My dog Sasha feels much better after her visit with Dr. Antoun

Dr. Antoun is very thorough and kind. Even through a crazy pandemic, he took care of my dog "Lucky" and put MY nerves at easy. I am so grateful for Dr. Antoun and his wonderful team.
