All syrups made in house! They make the lavender honey syrup from scratch, all the way from the lavender flower (not positive if they also have honey bees though 🤭). I'm super picky about my lavender in coffee and will only drink it if it's made in house. The honey to lavender ratio was a little high for my taste, but I'm a bit of a lavender addict, and I asked for extra lavender, so my judgment is a little off today, but I guarantee you this is 1000x better than any of that Torani baloney you've had.

We recently checked out **Alpaca Coffee and Tea** after a recommendation from one of my husband's student friends—and wow, we’re glad we did! ☕🧋 The drinks were honestly so good. You can tell they put care into what they serve. The person at the counter—who might be the owner—was super kind and friendly, which made the experience even better. It's always nice when you feel genuinely welcomed. 💛 Definitely a must-try spot if you’re in the area. We’ll be back for sure!

Alpaca Coffee is hands-down my favorite coffee spot in Idyllwild. There are plenty of great cafés in town, but this one stands out in the best way. It’s tucked just a little outside the main center, which gives it this cozy, exclusive feel, like you’ve discovered a local gem. The staff are always super kind, charming, and genuinely friendly, which makes every visit feel personal. The vibe is laid-back, the coffee is excellent, and it’s the kind of place you actually look forward to stopping by. Highly recommend to anyone, local or just passing through!

The best place to go for coffee & tea! If I lived closer I would go everyday. Matcha and the dirty chai latte are my favorites. I recommend this shop to everyone when they are stopping in Idyllwild.

We came in with a big order of hot drinks, and the barista with blonde hair handled everything perfectly! He was super kind, patient, and kept everything organized without missing a beat. All of our drinks came out just right, and the service really made the experience stand out. Definitely recommend Alpaca Coffee & Tea—not only is the coffee great, but the customer service is top-notch!

If you love matcha, don’t miss Alpaca!!! They were extremely nice and thoughtful! There were people behind us who had already had their order down, so we let them go ahead of us since it was our first time and was still deciding our order. The cashier noticed and gave us a free cookie for being thoughtful! The cashier also seemed very nice, and full of energy, which can be hard to find nowadays in cashiers. The drinks were authentic matcha which is a huge green flag for me and my daughter. We always try to search for good authentic matcha’s in our area which is always so incredibly hard. Definitely going again when I have the chance!

THIS PLACE AL-PACKs A PUNCH! Alpaca is simply delightful, they are known in the community for their speciality coffee, tea and boba drinks! I had the pleasure of enjoying their Spanish Latte which came highly recommended. I loved it, I ordered it with oat milk and it had the perfect sweetness! Definitely would order it again! I wish Alpaca had more drink sizes, all of them are pretty tiny. So you're paying 6.50+ for a small drink. Thankfully, everything tasted good but I was really looking for something a bit bigger. The shop itself is cute and has a fun, sunny atmosphere. There's very limited space and hardly any tables inside. If you're looking to hang out, they have an outdoor patio with some shade. Service was pretty good, this is a Korean-owned business which makes me so happy as I love to see more diverse businesses join Idyllwild!

I will always come here when I go to Idyllwild. Last time I had their nutella late (OMFG)! I really enjoyed their honey lavender too. I still dream about those drinks and wonder how I can make my own! I wish they had one in LA!

Had Alpaca Coffee last week while I was at Idyllwild. I had a delicious coffee and the matcha, both really good! I didn't get to actually go inside so have no information about the actual location but the coffee is yummy and would go back if I'm ever in Idyllwild!

LOVE this coffee shop! Alpaca was recommended to me by a friend and so I had to stop by while in Idyllwild. I enjoyed the dirty chai and my sister loved her mushroom latte. Both were well made and so refreshing in the Idyllwild summer heat! Service was quick and friendly! Plenty of seating both inside and outside the coffee shop, as well as a restaurant connected on the inside (wouldn't recommend the restaurant TBH).

Cute coffee shop, service was ok, as was the coffee. I had the Dirty Chai and I wouldn't order it again unfortunately. My son had the Honey Lavender Latte and that was good.

Solid, cute spot. When we went I think the employee was new and learning so the ordering process took a bit and our order was a bit messed up, but still enjoyed the coffee and location. A local told me it switched owners recently so hopefully it will continue to be a go to coffee spot in Idyllwild.

Cute little coffee shop connected to a breakfast restaurant. We didn't have a chance to try the restaurant but their chai latte iced was SO good! And the service was very friendly, there was only one guy working so it was a little slow but we weren't in any hurry so that was fine. I would've liked a little more seating inside, but I'm sure during the summer months the patio is lovely.

My husband and I came here based off the reviews. He got the basic house coffee, which he said was very crisp and flavorful. I picked the iced Nutella latte with oat milk and found it to be very tasty. Both the cashier and barista were nice and welcoming. We found it to be cozy and very laid back.

The attitude and unprofessionalism behind the counter!! Get someone who knows how to act appropriately with customers, not like a spoiled entitled child!!!

We spent the weekend in Idyllwild & went here everyday for a tasty latte. I'm picky about my coffee & Alpaca is on point. They use Stumptown beans & make great lattes. We split a brownie one day & that was excellent, but there's not a large selection of pasties, especially after the morning rush. The service is friendly & quick. I definitely recommend Alpaca. This will be my go-to in Idyllwild.

Strawberry Macha refresher is a must try if your in the area. Pretty light and refreshing drink.

We went there in search of little bites for breakfast like pastry and beverages. I knew there wouldn't be any Portuguese sausage I was having a hankering for this morning. We ended up with a regular coffee, a honey lavender latte and a strawberry matcha almond milk tea. My drink was as interesting and good as others claim.

Food is excellent. Tastes natural and I love the no heavy seasoning! Cappuccino is rich with milk flavor and lighter in coffee aroma. I like it but some ppl might rather have a stronger coffee taste one. Service may not be a 5 star because they seem to only have one server serving everyone so understandable it's going to be a bit slow. Food came out pretty quick though after ordered. Dog friendly but can only sit out on patio. Heater not available bc they don't have propane.. it's fine on the day we were there because it super nice and sunny. We chose a spot with sun on our back so it's nice but it can be very cold on other days. The place is neat and clean. Just the very regular family owed vibe. I do recommend this place and will be back when around the area

Really kind and friendly customer service. They were out of almond milk so I got an oat milk latte. It was good, not amazing. I think Stumptown coffee used to be better; or maybe my tastes have changed.

I've been here 4 times in the past three weeks. Recently purchased a home in Pine Cove, Alpaca is conveniently located on 243. Love the outdoor decks, easy parking and set up. Wonderful for coffee, breakfast foods and/or lunch. Definitely a venue I will frequent. Owners are super nice. Met Grace a few times. Love when the owner is there making sure things go well. This is the type of service I expect in a mountain town like Idyllwild. Have tried coffee here, a few other drinks, a breakfast burrito and edamame. The edamame needed help; however, I'm not taking off any stars. What was wrong with the edamame? 1. Was not cooked long enough. The beans were too firm. 2. Not served hot enough. Probably the result of undercooking the edamame. 3. Needed more coarse salt. I won't order edamame here again. However, will try numerous other items on the menu. Another flaw was a strange one. My dog Elizabeth is always with me. When she goes to coffee shops, I get coffee and she gets a puppacino. Apparently these folks don't serve whipped cream to dogs. Hence Elizabeth was upset. Maybe I just asked the wrong person? I am more than willing to pay for some whipped cream in a cup by the way. This is my new go to coffee joint/breakfast spot in town. I like the vibe here and will go out of my way to support this small business.

When I saw the Strawberry Matcha I HAD to come here. So even though it was about 28 degrees and we had to clean snow off the truck we made it. The inside is super cute and has chill vibes. There is an area to sit and order food but it was closed when we came. I think it's brunch only. So I got the Matcha and my husband got a spanish latte. The girl working the register was really sweet and answered all my husband's questions because he wanted to try something different. Both drinks were really good. The strawberry purée that's put in the matcha tastes like real strawberry, idk if it is, but it's does not have that fake strawberry syrup taste. Not too sweet either. A nice balance. The spanish latte was good too, it's made with condensed milk . So it's almost milk chocolatey. Really subtle and smooth.

I got the Spanish latte, omurice, and chicken dumpling soup. Happy to see some comfort Asian food on their menu on this foggy, cold day!

It was my wife's and my first time here it's located down the mountain of Idyllwild parking is super limited but you shouldn't have a problem finding a table because they also have a outdoor patio. The environment is relaxing and calm. The decor is also pretty modern. The service out of everything was super disappointing we asked the server what one of the drinks had and she dismissed us and said that she did not know that we would have to ask to cashier up in front what it was made out of. When the food came took the server about 10 min to realize we had no utensils. The food was ok I had the bulgi bowl and on the menu it said it had quinoa but there was no quinoa and it said it came with hot sauce there was no hot sauce My wife had a California omelette which was pretty good . The coffee had to be the superstar of my overall experience the honey lavender latte was really good.

4 stars for the coffee bar section and 0 stars for the cafe side. We stood at the "please wait to be seated" sign for like 5 minutes while 3 employees ignored us while one was eating at the bar, one eating behind the bar. Even had my husband drag our two little kids out of the car so we could eat. Only one table was seated in the dining area, not even busy, no one else waiting and the rest of the tables should be bussed and cleaned before you sit and eat in front of potential paying customers. Coffee was overpriced, they were out of lavender, chai and boba which were basically all three reasons we stopped here. The two employees there were nice and helpful with how busy they were. The area is small and cramped and the line was confusing to figure out, but another customer kindly directed people to the end of the line. The iced Spanish latte was yummy, my jasmine tea was refreshing, just not worth $40 for 6 drinks.

Was really excited to try out the only boba place in town - unfortunately they were out of boba when we went which was the only reason we came, so it was disappointing. The employee was very friendly and nice but the drinks weren't very good. Black milk tea tasted way too sweet and I couldn't finish it

I stopped here for an iced coffee for the drive back home and was very impressed with the iced Nutella latte. I figured it'd be pretty sweet so I asked for half sweet and was glad I did! It was so delicious and definitely sweet enough! They also have a dining area that had some good looking breakfast coming out. It's a little out of the heart of town so it's definitely a quieter less busy atmosphere than some of the other businesses in the area. While we waited for coffee, a worker brought our dog some bacon, which was so unexpected and sweet!

The workers are friendly, the cafe is clean and comforting. There is this menu with a cute alpaca picture. Foods I tried are really good Foods I tried: 1. Egg Benedict - In my taste iT is the best savory meal in this cafe. 2. Hash brown - Crispy On the outside, soft on the inside 3. Bacon - salty and crunchy 4. Masala chai - There is various spice flavor and is sweet warm drink 5. Mint chocolate scone - I like how it's not too sweet I can taste the mint flavor in the chocolate ^_^ But I should have tried the lavender flavored latte

Before I get into my review for this coffee & tea shop, I've got a joke for you. Why didn't the alpaca want coffee? Because they only drink llamanade! I hope that gave you a hearty laugh! Onwards we move to my review! I popped into Alpaca for a mid-day pick-me-up with a few friends and I'd ordered an iced chagaccino with oat milk. My drink was made in a jiffy and it was delicious! Refreshing and tasted slightly like a mocha frappe. Who would've thunk that a mushroom beverage could be so tasty?! Additionally, the staff members were incredibly friendly and open to answering any questions I had. Great service, and chill vibes! The only thing I wish I could've changed about my experience was to have stayed in and enjoyed my chagaccino in the open and well-lit space. I'll certainly be stopping by this spot the next time I'm in town and enjoying another iced chagaccino!

Alpaca uses Stumptown which I used to love but don't so much anymore. My latte was fine. Drinkable,but not something I'd crave again. Service was friendly. Loved the cute little alpacas all over the place.

Last month we made our second trip to visit Idyllwild and when we take these types of trips we normally make a detailed food packing list and only get take out pizza. This time, there happened to be an LA times article about Idyllwild right before we went so I was intrigued to try this new-ish cafe in town. We were a party of seven (three kids). A little quirk you should know is that you have to separately order for coffee drinks and can only get a cup of drip in the restaurant section. So.. just ended up getting a regular cup. I was interested to try the ratatouille breakfast, but they said it was not available because of the long prep time. Womp womp. I ended up getting avocado toast which was pretty underwhelming. Very thin layer of bland avocado and some small tomatoes on top. We ordered the 4 sweet cream pancakes for the three kids to share and they liked it fine..but the sleeper hit were the sweet potato fries I ordered since I figure avocado toast wouldn't be filling. Huge portion of fries for the whole table to inhale. I ended up getting another order to go! Overall the people were super nice and the restaurant and facilities are clean.

The food is here really good. We were both pretty satisfied with our meal but I do wish the sausage was a little bit better. For us the service was a little lost but should be fine for most people on any other day. The vibes were very nice and homey and there was a chicken outside. I'd prob comeback.

Highly recommend stopping by if you're in Idyllwild! We did not try the food/brunch offering but without a question the best tea/boba place in Idyllwild! This was probably the biggest surprise of the trip for my wife and I - with the Strawberry Matcha Latte being surprisingly good, just as good, if not better than Boba Guys We also enjoyed the pastries!

Yummy Nutella coffee drink. One girl working and quite efficient. I was hoping to revisit the mushroom drink But they were out . Supposed to be great for energy.

I have been coming to Idyllwild for 10 years and always go to the coffee shop in town. I noticed this place and wanted to try something new. I was so happy I did. I had the best vanilla latte I have ever had!! My mom got the Nutella latte and absolutely loved it. The service was great, employees offered suggestions to make our experience better. We also tried the pancakes, French toast, bacon and hash browns and loved the food as much as the coffee. We went make every morning of our trip. I cannot wait to go back! It was clean inside, employees were friendly, and coffee/food exceeded expectations. I highly recommend trying this place!

This coffee shop is cozy and cute. Also, there is an outside seating area. When it's cold in Idyllwild, it's great to buy for hot coffee and drinks on a cold day.

I was on my way out of town after checking out of my air BNB which was just around the corner from this cafe. The menu looked vegan friendly, so I popped in for breakfast... If I had discovered the strawberry matcha sooner than my departure day, I would have had *at least one every day of my trip, ha! So delicious. For food I enjoyed their vegan burrito as a bowl because I can't do gluten, and it was good. I did need more Cholula than I generally would add, the tofu scramble was under seasoned, and when I added the impossible patty my brain was expecting the sausage, not the burger patty, so I should have clarified that while ordering. So in all it was not my favorite meal ever, but I'm grateful they had the vegan option and I would try it again knowing better what to expect. Service was great, super friendly, accommodating, and welcoming. I love feeling appreciated as a guest of an establishment. I will definitely be back, and maybe even make a trip up the mountain just for that matcha!

We came here for the drinks but the inside was very spacious. The barista was very helpful and friendly. You can tell he enjoyed his job and that's one of the best things to see as a customer. I got the Spanish latte hot with coconut milk! Not too sweet with the condensed milk. My bf got the white coconut crème tea with an added espresso shot and he added coconut milk per the barista's suggestion after he asked to add an espresso shot. He got it hot as well. It was delicious and you can taste the coconut very well. I got the matcha strawberry drink with almond milk for my mom. I tried a little and I didn't taste much of the strawberry myself but the matcha was tasty. If we are every back in town we will definitely come back for our caffeine needs! (We went back a second time before leaving time) got the matcha latte as well!

Visiting Idyllwild, and made a quick stop to alpaca for breakfast, the coffee was delicious, the food was fresh and tasty. They have a variety of options for breakfast and lunch, as well as full coffee bar. They had a lot of healthy options, and the staff was very friendly. I can't wait to visit again.

Cute coffee and tea shop in Idyllwild just outside of the small town area. Lots of free parking in front and on the gravel. We really enjoyed the iced chagaccino and iced strawberry matcha milk tea. Service was great - friendly and efficient. Came back twice in 1 weekend!

Great coffee option in town! They use Stumptown coffee. The honey lavender latte and mocha latte were pretty good. It was smooth and had the perfect amount of sweetness. We came for a second time during our stay in Idyllwild. We would've loved to try their pastries, but it wasn't available both times we visited.

We wanted to love this casual cafe with its spartan, school cafeteria decor. Counter service was friendly, utensils and napkins brought out to our table in plastic baskets. Our food came up quickly, one small eggs Benedict with two triangle tater tots. I added avocado thankfully. Two small cappuccinos as well although they were just ok and come in paper cups so that no one is spoiled ;-) This elegant spread set us back nearly $40 with tip. Welcome to Idyllwild!

Had the Nutella iced Latte with Oatmilk! It was great! Rich and creamy Nutella flavor!!! Service was fast and friendly! Nice quiet spot to go and talk and or hang out!

Not bad. It's nice to have some coffee up in the mountains. We tried a few different drinks like the mushroom latte. Nothing that stands out, but it's not terrible either.

my friend and i came in 30 min before closing and the barista taking our order was very nice! he even added extra syrup in my drink because i said i like my coffee sweet. the vibe in here is very nice, and they even have wifi here if you want to study!

I love how conveniently located this place is. I drove medical transportation for a while and this was my "pit stop" every morning. They even remembered me after just a few visits and had my coffee ready as I was walking in the front door. There is a beautiful patio to take in the fresh mountain air while enjoying a bracing cup of Java.

This place was an excellent fine. Great ambiance and ginger rice was very yummy. Korea and Japanese food was Sooo tasty New menu is only 3 weeks old. Come find out for yourselves

We came here to have brunch with the kids on our way back home. It wasn't super busy on Monday morning, so we were able to sit down quickly. We got the French toast, pancakes and the California omelette. Food was great, the French toast and pancakes were super fluffy. The sides of eggs were cooked perfectly. Service was great, our server was super nice. It's been a long time since we have actually eaten at a restaurant so it was nice to go eat somewhere else!

Insanely perfect jasmine bubble tea!!! A must get when you're nearby. The perfect balance of sweet and refreshing. Has none of the usual chemical-saccharine taste of so many artificial bubble teas. This is the real deal. Coming back tomorrow. 5 stars!!!!

Delicious coffee! However, I ate at their attached brunch restaurant and unfortunately was given raw french toast. I didn't send it back or complain because I didn't want to cause any issues. I was happy with the service and it was such a lovely coffee and experience overall. I highly recommend their honey lavender latte!

Came to summit Mt. San Jacinto but plans were derailed when the trails were closed due to wildfires. We decided to stop by this local coffee shop. I never expected good coffee to come out of a small town but this is such a hidden gem! Honey lavender latte - just the right amount of sweetness and floral notes. I'm usually not a lavender person but it was one of their recommended drinks. Dirty chai latte - one of the best chais I've had. Strawberry matcha milk tea - the strawberry purée was so good! It lacked matcha flavor so that was disappointing. Overall, the drinks here are very expensive but they were well a solid coffee spot for a small town.

"Chagacchino" mushroom coffee was amazing! - Organic, no sugar, keto, plant based - Chaga - Cacao - Cinnamon - Vanilla - Monk fruit sweetener Parking was easy in the back and it connects to Mile High Cafe which is even better. Thank you to the friendly staff member too!

Parking was easy It seems like Alpaca has taken over the Mile High Cafe. It's all one space and the area that was the Mile High Cafe is now were you can sit for an Alpaca breakfast. Space is great for a sit down meal. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. Service was wonderful. Food was delicious. You can taste the quality and they were not stingy with there servings. I loved my BTLA and the sweet potato fries. The crossiant was so buttery and flacky. I prefer my jam thicker than what was served. It was very liquidy. The taste was great but I do think it should have been a thicker consistency. The place was clean as was the bathroom. Would 100% return. It was best meal on the trip. Next time I would want to try the chao ga.

The food here is amazing. The fried rice is a must have! The service is great and the atmosphere is relaxed. A must visit when coming to Idyllwild.

Very cute and tasty! We stopped by for Americanos. The service was very friendly- - when we walked in the server was singing, and it seemed like such a fun and welcoming atmosphere! The coffee was good - I believe they use stumptown- but not AMAZING. I added lavender syrup to mine and was disappointed that it was just a pump bottle of sweetened syrup like you can get at Costco - not homemade or like genuine lavender syrup. It was still good, but definitely a bit of a letdown. There is no seating indoors but a nice covered outdoor space.

Greatest service in the town and good food and coffee! Family owned and ran it seems. Love it. Check it out.
