"Diners immediately feel at home here! This is thanks to both the cosy atmosphere and the outstanding cuisine turned out by owner Jeremias Riezler, who has embraced a sustainable culinary approach. He uses top-notch seasonal and regional produce, and even rears pigs himself. Select – predominantly organic – ingredients are showcased in a multi-course set menu, the name of which translates as "Culinary Mountain Adventure". Dishes such as fried Walser veal sweetbreads with cranberry aioli demonstrate a distinctive culinary style. The chef presents his dishes himself and talks diners through the idea behind them. In an original touch, he also hand-carves the wooden cutlery with which some of the dishes are eaten. Your hostess heads up a charming front-of-house team. The hotel of the same name provides cosy Alpine-style rooms for overnight stays – the establishment as a whole is certified organic." - Michelin Inspector

What a wonderful experience, sitting in one of the cosiest corners you can think of. The food was excellent, a big surprise! The family was cheerful! We had a great evening with our friends. Try the chicken with baked polenta. And ask for the old corner!

I booked this hotel since I was going skiing in Kleinwalsertal. (It is situated 10 minutes walk from the main lift).||First of all the guy at the reception asked me when i checked in if my name was a woman's name. I was very shocked about his rudeness.||However my room was nice and clean - all outdated, both room and bathroom. I guess it could use a good makeover.||The breakfast was fine.||I had dinner there 2 times (last night i went somewhere else). A arrogant waiter showed me to a table with much pain. The food was ok, but nothing special. ||The next night I went to the hotel restaurant again and was met by the same arrogant waiter. This time I saw a couple coming in asking for a table - the waitress said there was no free tables and that tje village had no other restaurant of their standard...||I decided to have dinner at a 'normal' restaurant the next evening.||But the worst part was waking up the third morning at 5:30 to the beep of the fire alarm on the hallway! I waiting some time and then called the reception and the restaurant both with no answer... I finally got up at 6:30 preparing to leave for my 9 hour drive home. Waiting at the reception the owner finally came, I told him about the noise on 'my' floor', he said he'd check it. Not mentioning of sorry or anything. I hope the other guests on that floor also mentioning the horrible noise...||||Next time I go, I will certainly book another hotel.

Our family (2 adults and 2 children, 10 and 8 ) stayed for a week at Walser Stuba in March. It was our first visit to the area to ski and we booked after looking at a few accomodation options on the internet. We liked the look and feel of the website for Walser Stuba and decided to book after a couple of very friendly emails back and forth. We were not disappointed! The hotel is well located with a ski lift directly across the road and the larger ski area (with gondola) is a 5 minute walk (across the bridge and down the hill) away -which we coped with no problems carrying ski gear. There is also a free skiers bus too, but we were too eager to hit the slopes than wait! When we arrived (very early in the morning thanks to a change in our flight with Wizz air) we were welcomed at the door by our hosts, the Reizlers, who are a really lovely, friendly couple. This is a real 'family run and owned' hotel and that makes it really special. (Their son Jeremiah is the Chef and his wife helps out in reception). We booked a family room with 'half board' and although our room was small, it was spotlessly clean and fresh. We were so exhausted after all the skiing that the space didn't matter anyway! The food was fabulous, even for our two children- a 3 course menu every evening (with choices) and a breakfast buffet fit for kings. We ate so well- full marks to the kitchen! One of the special touches was a menu card for the evening on the breakfast table each morning which was kindly translated into English for us with a joke to start the day. Our waitress was fantastic too- she greeted us with a huge smile each morning and evening- just lovely little touches like that make a guest feel so welcome. Although we were the only English-speaking guests at the time it wasn't a problem and the children really loved the hotel birds in reception and the relaxed atmosphere throughout. This is a little gem of a place and we hope to come back next year again. Probably better suited to older children than babies and toddlers as the restaurant is well known in the area and popular- obviously a local favourite. Thankyou family Reizler for a wonderful stay and we look forward to seeing you again in 2011! ||The Sundstroms

We'd read newspaper critics over the cooking in this place and were curious to try it out and spend a few days here, unfortunately the restauarnt was closed on Monday und Tuesday, but on the Website from the hotel there was no mention that the restaurant was closed on Tuesday, and so we departed without trying out the restaurant which was the main reason that we came. Otherwise the family Riezlern were helpful in all respects.
