This review has been edited by post originator: Alpha Soda used to be a 5 ⭐ rating until mgmt change mid 2018. The review immediately below was before the change and I chose to leave it here so everyone could see what it used to be like..... Great for inexpensive home cooking. Baked chicken, turkey, liver & onions, pork chops, burgers, plus great sides. Breakfast all day too!! But since the mgmt change, it's only a 3⭐, maybe a 2⭐ if I'm being honest.... The restaurant has lost it's flare for great dinner "comfort food". Mgmt has changed and so has the menu to the detriment of what Alpha Soda has stood for for over 100 years. Ordered the meatloaf and it came out raw in the middle and when we complained, they said it wasn't raw it was just not mixed properly. Not true...IT WAS RAW!! Didn't take it off the bill but replaced it with chicken and waffles (which was very good). Veggies we're marginal and tasteless, service was slow, mgmt was unaccommodating, and the renovations were less than impressive. We've been going there for over 10 years, doubt if we'll be back. :(

They are under renovations. The service was terrible. We had to ask waitress for everything. Even the menus. My "hand made" tatter tots did not look or feel hand made. They were oily and cooked at low temperature for too long. They looked and tasted like frozen tots. My burger was not hand made. It was a frozen patty. It even had a freezer burn flavor. There was nothing about my meal that it should have cast me $9.00. I have had much better service and food at burger king. At least I know what am going to get at burger king. Don't expect to get your water or coffee refilled here unless you ask for it. Save your time and money.

My son and I went to this wonderful restaurant for lunch today. We both had the Crab Cakes and they were the best I have ever had. We started out with an appetizer of pimento cheese and pita bread. The pimento cheese was definitely homemade! Service was great and we will be going back soon!

This is a quaint neighborhood restaurant that has been in business since 1920. I tried the Spicy Black Bean Burger with roasted red peppers, mushrooms and melted jalapeno jack on a multigrain bun and it was really tasty. Then tried the Peanut Butter Pie for dessert and that was super. The prices are a little higher than expected, but I think the food is very good. I also had great service.

The food is typical diner fare. I've always been pleased with my meal. I have not always been pleased with the service. I have had some really slow service here before. But if you have the time - stop in and enjoy a leisurely meal. It's also one of the oldest restaurants in Alpharetta.

The renovations are complete and they look great. We had breakfast here and the home fries were awesome, fresh cut taters. On th 3rd Saturday of the month, there's a jazz band in the covered patio. Excellent time to enjoy a meal and great music.

Coming here and being from out of town, it was a gamble to randomly choose somewhere but it was great. The food was really good and what was exactly what my family was wanting. For a family from the Midwest, this was Southern, hearty, cooking that hit the spot. The lemon cake is also quite lovely.
