This place is unique and as advertised. They provide dinner and breakfast and a room with a view. What is special is that it is the only open commercial lodging along Denali Highway which was the highlight of our two-week driving tour of Alaska. Most rental car companies won't let you use this 130 mile unpaved road. Alaskan Rental Car will. The road is not bad, but is was nice to be able to stop for the night halfway at the Alpine Creek lodge. The folks there are great.

We arrived a bit after 5 pm looking for food. It was a single choice dinner that was wonderful! Our dinner was a salad, rice, and slow roasted pork shoulder. That roast was seasoned to perfection and fork-tender. Our hosts was warm and welcoming. We got a peanut butter bar for dessert. We left full and happy. I don't know what other meals are served, but this one was memorable. They're on the Denali Highway.

Absolutely a great stay. Exceeded expectations in every manner. A very warm and welcoming lodge. Great views, delicious meals and a great tour of the area. The entire Bondy family, including Chrissy, makes you feel welcome and at home.

Great adventure! Came here with a friend by snowmachine last week. The Denali Highway is groomed in the winter all the way to the lodge. There were three cross country skiers that came 65 miles in, and 65 miles out the next morning. Great base camp to warm up and rest.

Rustic roadhouse lodge, not much to do except travel Denali highway. No tv in room for those who must have it, staff not real communicative, oh yeah beers are $9 so bring your own .Fishing and wildlife viewing is same as DIY travelers they take you on same spots you can go on your own.The owner did refund my trip money which I didnt expect good spot just not what I was expecting.Ask up front.

Great lodge, but the owners REALLY dont like cannabis. I wasn't even allowed to have it in my pocket even though its 100% legal in Alaska. Otherwise, its wonderful. And dont get me wrong, the owners are great people... just that interaction was a bit more than im used to up here when it comes to weed.

Bucket List Trip!!! Riding my snow machine from my Airbnb cabin in Cantwell to the Alpine Creek Lodge and back was an Alaskan Bucket List item. March is a beautiful time to do the ride! Claude, Jennifer, and Bobby are wonderful hosts who know EVERYTHING about the area. This was my second time staying at the lodge. They had some friends at the Lodge this time that let me follow them exploring a trail near the lodge. I filled my gas tank up (only used a little over half a tank getting to the lodge from Cantwell). I saw Caribou at mile marker 94 on my way in, and the road was so smooth from being freshly groomed I could have fallen asleep! Even on a cloudy day, it was a magical experience. Thank you ACL for providing this kind of experience for us to enjoy!

Yelp
I first came upon the Alpine Creek Lodge last year when I drove the Denali Highway. I was told it was a must visit lodge that is open year round. The owners mentioned a highway cleanup that they do the first weekend of June every year and so here I am! The lodge is spacious and the food is good. Great company!

Yelp
This is the second time I have stayed at the lodge and can't wait to go back. The rooms are comfy, the staff are friendly, the views can't be beat, and the food is delicious. They make you feel like you are part of the family so much that I felt guilty not helping with the dishes after the meals. This will be a destination, not just a stop on the way.

Yelp
Alpine Creek Lodge has been one of my favorite places to stay since the lodge opened in 2009. I make at least one trip a year there and have been there in the summer, the fall, and the winter. The owners, Claude and Jennifer and their son Bob, are awesome, the staff is friendly, the views are incredible and the food is good. When I have visitors to Alaska, this is one of the places where I take them to for a real taste of Alaska. I just love this place!

Yelp
Our third trip to Alpine Creek Lodge, our main goal was to see the Northern Lights. Jennifer picked us up in Cantwell with a jeep equipped with 'Tracks" for the 65 mile ride to the lodge, only had to knock down one small snow drift to get in. The Lodge provided us with additional gear to stay nice and warm. During our stay we took Snow Machines out for a tour, I was able to go Ice Fishing & Snowshoe Hair Hunting. We also had a group of "All Ladies" dog sled teams show up while we were there. We met Newton Marshall, the Jamaican Dog Sled Guy who was working at the lodge, "Howdy Mon". The highlight of our trip was the 80 mile round trip to the Ice Cave in the Maclaren River Glacier, next to the day our daughter was born, this may have been the most fantastic thing I've ever seen. Rock and dirt suspended overhead in the ice, they say it melts until it caves in and then the process starts all over again. Below they ask about WiFi, it is available in the main lodge area, but can be spotty in other areas of the building. It may have been too cloudy for the lights during our stay, but the Ice Cave more than made up for that and no Lights only means another trip in the future for us! Looking forward to our next trip to Alpine Creek Lodge.
