Lovely ladies at the front desk here!!! I stayed for a little over a week and every morning was an ease and such a pleasure with Shannon and Aaliyah (if I spelled her name wrong I’m so sorry). Coffee always fresh in the mornings. Would definitely stay here in the future. Location is the best because everything is so close by. Very clean rooms and the housekeeping staff is wonderful!!! Everyone here is always in a great mood so it tells you something about the management there!!! Great job guys! Thanks for the awesome experience!

If you're looking for a decent hotel in a good location, this place is about the best you will find in Rockford. Shannon checked me in today without issue and is a sweet woman with a gift for customer service. Alpine Inn is a very pet/service animal friendly hotel. The rooms are clean and bug free. The AC and the heat work as advertised. I have stayed here a half a dozen times and I will come back again. Good job!

I have been dealing with Alpine Inn for many years on and off but the staff now is by far the best. Shannon at the front desk is AWESOME! She explained all my options of rooms I could rent. Considering I have a dog she explained everything I asked and needed to know having to do with my pet. Not to mention she pointed me in the right direction of stores/restaurants in the area... If I could give her personally 5 stars I would......

I have VERY low needs for a Hotel. Good AC, No Bugs, Clean Bed and I am pretty much good. I prefer a budget Hotel. I hate spending a lot of cash just to sleep. THIS Hotel is better than most budget Hotels. The room was spotlessly clean. Plenty of Towels were supplied and MORE were offered. The place is neat and clean and there are several ICE Machines that work. It is run by Americans. It has American pride all over it. They did NOT ask for a cash deposit. If I am ever in the area again I will look no further than the Alpine Inn.

The staff was great, front desk Lady was nice. Had to complain about noise and nonsense as some kids staying there running all over being violent. The environment was not good at all. People partying and drinking outside while their kids run around. Witnessed an obnoxious loud woman playing music and what appeared to be all her children running around attack a small boy on his scooter then beat him up. Later saw Cops talking to her. Poor kid. Would not recommend for peace and safety.

Pleasantly surprised by my stay at the Alpine Inn. I drove 500 miles to attend my class reunion in Rockford, and I was on a very tight budget. I knew the moment I arrived and checked in that I had made the right decision. The staff was very friendly, helpful and a joy to speak with. My room was clean, quiet and met my needs perfectly. If I ever make the trip back home again I will for sure stay at the Alpine Inn.

Google
Friendly staff. Quick and easy check in. My room smelled of weed and smoke and kind of a musty odor too. The room was okay. Seems to need some updating. Bed was comfortable. Stayed for 2 short nights.

My name is Reginald Walker, and I have had great experience staying at the Alpine inn.I have received great customer service from Shannon and Amy I have known these individuals for some years and every time I have gotten a room they made sure I had a great stay

Yelp
Not newly remodeled. Dirty and the room stunk like a dead animal. I slept in my clothes and kept my suitcase on the desk. If any place is going to have bed bugs, this is the place.

Yelp
We stayed here for a week, The cleanliness was NOT there I stepped in the carpet with white socks and they turned yellow. There was mold in the rest room, our room card never worked we had to get it replaced every night although the employees are pretty friendly and they have hot coffee every morning :) cleaning service is only on Wednesday I wouldn't recommend staying here unless completely desperate. Strange characters as well I'll give 2 stars just because the employees are nice and the coffee :)

Yelp
My stay at the Alpine Inn has been a pleasant experience. Nice location and friendly staff and management. A special thanks to Scott, Shannon, Amy, Amber, Thomas and the rest of the team at the Alpine Inn.

Ladiie S.

Yelp
They accept broken Identification cards and don't verify the people that pass through there My ID was stolen and used there and they won't even investigate the fraudulent activity when I have clear cut evidence. I never had a chance to stay here but ended up on a flagged banned list there and every other hotel. Even the hotel I work which believes me because I work there.

Yelp
This is my weekend go to hotel. Nice and calm and discreet place. The rooms are clean the housekeepers are nice, but one of my favorite things about this place is the person who works here SHANNON. I remember the first time I called and she was just so knowledgeable explaining everything. I finally got to meet her and she's just sweet as pie. One of the best here at Alpine inn.p always very accommodating and understanding. The rest of the staff should learn from her she's great thank you Shannon for making my stay enjoyable each and every time. See you next weekend!

Yelp
I suggest if you have kids that you don't every get a room at the alpine in on 4404 east state street because the manager Scott and a couple of his staff members that works at the desk there is very unprofessional especially Shannon she called herself withholding my mail they other day then I have a recording of Scott threatening me to call dcfs on me and that is exactly what he did he called dcfs on me and lied and said I have roaches and mices and it's all cause they Mad cause I moved our instead of paying at the hotel 500 weekly I got a opportunity to only pay 795 a month Scott the manager at alpine got mad cause I moved on and got my own he turns around and call dcfs on me a d my kids are almost grown ages are 19 18 17 15 11 and I have more then 1 viedio of how unprofessional Scott and his staff members was at the front desk

Yelp
I was told by the manager Scott, that this place is dangerous and not suitable to have children here. Was there for 2 weeks before this was mentioned to me. I called to inform the front desk of unusual activity right outside my room door and that I was freighted... They hung up on me and told to just leave then if I didn't like it. Very unprofessional and just plain outrageous. People throwing garbage from the upstairs balcony all day and no one cleans or fixing anything. This place alone makes Rockford one of the worst places I've ever been to. Stay away from there please

Jaimie S.

Yelp
Never would I recommend this hotel. Checked in at night woke up left in the am came back and seen roaches in the bathroom.. Put them in a zip lock bag and brought them to the desk. They told me it would take 5 business days to get my money back.. Worst stay i ever had and on top of that put me in a different room and different building but there were still roaches. They need to be shut down asap.

Yelp
I came earlier on the day to check out the room before booking because it is in a not great area and online reviews were dicey...I was skeptical. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very courteous and made a great dinner recommendation, also offered any items I might need, explaining they didn't stock them in the room. Much appreciated! Breakfast was as expected, simple and basic. This is a great value and would recommend. I stayed 3 nights as I was traveling for work, so I feel I got a good feel. I used to stay at a place now going through renovations and outside of my budget so Alpine Inn is a great choice and my new go to.

Gregory R.

Yelp
Zero stars. Paid for 3 nights. Had a seizure and was hospitalized first night. Was in the hospital for 5 days unconscious. Requested refund for 2 nights that I was unconscious, they denied saying I can't prove I wasn't there even after showing hospital paperwork. Lost out on over $100 on top of now accruing medical bills.

Yelp
8/15/2020 Alpine Inn was very disappointing. I went to the front desk to ask for towels. The night desk clerk told me she was all out of towels. I was surprised by that response. I went back to my room empty handed. My wife up shortly after asking if I got towels when I told her what happened she called the front desk and asked for towels. The night clerk again said no. Ny wife told her that was unacceptable. The clerk then placed my wife on hold to look. When she got back on the phone she told her yes she has towels my wife asked her to bring them the clerk said no "we don't do that". My wife told her my husband was just down there and you refused to give him the towels. I drove to the front desk again and when I walked in the clerk didn't look up didn't greet me completely ignored me. I asked again for the towels and she handed me 2 small face towels. No apology for lying to my husband then to me over the phone. The clerk was rude and had an attitude. I experienced this twice at Alpine Inn. The morning clerk on 8/9/2020 did not honor my reservation which I booked a couple days in advance with a specific check in time. When I arrived I was told by the morning clerk to come back in 6 hours. I eventually had to cancel my reservation and book another room at The Days Inn. Needless to say I will not give The Alpine Inn a 3rd chance. I will never stay at The Alpine Inn again. -Sincerely Dissatisfied Customer

Yelp
This inn was a real bummer. We chose this inn because the reviews weren't bad and they were very reasonably priced. Customer service was pretty good. However, that does not even remotely make up for how filthy this inn was. The floor was so dirty it turned our socks black in one night. By the 3rd night, we had bed bug bites all over. Looks like maybe some rooms are a hit and a miss - I don't know. But we will not be back.

Yelp
Well, where do I start? What a Mess! Got to my room late Friday night and just wanted to go to sleep. Took my shoes off and walked to the bathroom. My feet were sticking to the carpet and tile floor. OMG! Then I got up Saturday to take a shower and the water that ran off my feet was black. Went up to the front desk to to see about a refund and wow I got $20 Dont get your hopes up on a good breakfast either. Everything was disappointing about this place. Dodge Alpine Inn every chance you have.

Yelp
Huge clean room. This place is a great bargain. We've staying in Rockford many times at various places and spent 4x the amount until we found this motel. Now we will always stay here!

Yelp
Reasonable rates on kitchenette with microwave and mini frig. Room 111 was about 160 square feet with entry foyer. Newly renovated but 25" tube type TV was obsolete and only had 24 channels. Couldn't deadbolt lock on entry door. Spartan decor, comfy beds with 3 pillows, and decent heat/air unit. No shampoo or hair dryer in room. Quiet and felt safe enough. Breakfast 1* no fresh fruit but would stay here again.

Destin R.

Yelp
My husband stayed and was pleased for the price. The continental breakfast was just that, not much for a big man appetite. His room was clean, bedding and mattress was clean. Quiet. Will revisit when there to see family again

Ricki G.

Yelp
This was a great little motel...clean and quiet. Can't beat it for the price! No coffeepot in the room, but there is free coffee in the lobby. Also, there wasn't a blow dryer in the room, but I had my own. Beds were very comfy :)

Yelp
I booked Alpine Inn based off of reviews... what a mistake. While the price was good, I would have been willing to pay more for this stay. Room was clean for the most part (carpet needs a cleaning). Furniture is straight out of the 70's. Bedding is not close to hotel grade, more like something purchased at a discount store. I used soccer mom blankets from the car. Ladies, if you need a hair dryer you have to get it from the front desk. Breakfast was mediocre at best. Walls are not insulated very well, fell asleep to the man in the next room talking to someone.

Elizabeth H.

Yelp
We had a large room that was clean and spacious. Great value, helpful staff, great location for downtown Rockford (Anderson Japanese Gardens, etc)

Nick V.

Yelp
Room 307 First night - No sleep Bed had springs popping up. Toilet ran constantly. Head board not attached to wall - Fell off. Moved next day to Room 310. Bed - Foot of bed was about 3 to 4" higher than head of bed and had a banana shape to it. No tv remote. Fridge was not cold - No way to adjust it. Moved to Room 324 after 10 minutes. Tv had closed captions stuck on - Go into settings and it was stuck in spanish, I think it was spanish. No way to hit enter. Remote was wrong remote for the 1980's tube tv. Air conditioner keeps turning off without getting cold. A/C smells like rotting feet. Was giving two more remotes and a programming sheet. Got the first remote to work and finally had a seriously out dated tv working. 2 hours of my life I will never get back. Rooms are so outdated. The furniture is from the 60's and the mattress's are close to being the original ones from that era. Every room had different furniture, microwaves and fridges in them. All different sizes. The lobby has a really bad musty smell. The breakfast the first day had only 5 small bagels, 1 english muffin, 2 small muffins and 4 different cereals. They did bring out more muffins after I was finished eating 2 bagels. Walked back and forth to the lobby to get rooms changed and remotes taking care of and had to keep waiting in long lines. About 1 block there and a block back. Made about 10 trips. Got a cup of black coffee in lobby. They didn't have any creamers out. They don't answer the phone at desk - It just keeps saying mailbox full. This makes the top 10 of worst hotels I have stayed in and I stayed here about 10 years ago. Only change was they tiled the bathroom. It made the top 10 worst twice!

Yelp
We stayed here last year at the end of a road trip when I was too sick to make it all the way home. We had such a lovely experience that we look forward to making it a part of our summer trip in the coming years! The room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and exceptionally reasonable in price! This is a wonderful place to stay!

Craig P.

Yelp
This place was bad. I walked out and stayed at the Hilton down the street. There were stains on the sheets and the room was circa 1970. The area around the hotel is shady so use caution. This place is an extended stay so watch out.

Michelle E.

Yelp
Nice local business! Friendly staff, great service, excellent food, fair prices. Odd location, but always busy, an atypical example for a successful business. Generous servings, great diner menu fare, heat customer service, courtesy, and respect!

Yelp
Room wad clean staff was very friendly. Was a quiet peaceful night. I would come back next time in town. Might do a little painting would be my suggestion but certainly wasn't bad.

Andrew L.

Yelp
The alpine inn was one of the only places in or around Rockford with an available room. Based on that I wasn't holding out much hope for what kind of place it was going to be. However, I was pleasantly surprised immediately upon check in by a well dressed desk attendant who was well mannered and friendly. I was once again pleased when I walked into my room. It was a good size, very clean, and by far worth the reasonable rate for a Friday night on short notice. If you need a well priced comfortable room for a night or two is highly recommend it.

Renee M.

Yelp
Super clean, super friendly, best price. SO glad we stayed here instead of the hojo where the guy wanted to lecture me about state laws at one a.m. Will stay at the Alpine again!
