Always busy - and for good reason! Their bacon breakfast croissant is the best breakfast sandwich you’ll ever have. And the matcha is done perfectly. Fresh strawberries are used for strawberry syrup.

Food was delicious, fresh and tasty. My children loved it, especially breakfast toast with croissant! Latte was very smooth and pleasant 😋 The staff was accommodative, I ordered something by mistake and they exchanged it for a different item without any hesitation. I appreciate the service 🙏 Indoor and outdoor seating available 😀 and they have a high chair for little ones 😀

We love this little gem! Hidden in the chataqua adjacent neighborhood this coffee shop offers a wide array of beverage and food options. They have a delicious breakfast sandwich and other great pastries. The coffee was seriously delicious, I ordered a chai and asked for a double shot in it. The barista called it a filthy chai. They were gracious hosts and very helpful. Andrew made our drinks to perfection and was very nice. The vibe is modern upscale and the prices are on the high side but well worth it. I love this place and will be back again soon.

The first morning in Boulder we wanted to go here. The reviews was amazing good. Didn’t disappoint. The Latte I got was amazing. The cappuccino my wife got was amazing also. The home town look of inside was country looking. Loved it. I’m from Alabama. I would recommend this to anyone that loves coffee. I didn’t try any food but the treats looks delicious.

We visited for lunch and sampled several dishes, all of which were delicious. I ordered the Golden Chai Latte, along with a breakfast croissant and a ham and Gruyère melt, and everything was outstanding. The service was excellent, and the cozy atmosphere made the place feel very welcoming. It's easy to see why this spot gets so busy, and I will definitely be returning soon.

This is such a cute, not-so-hidden gem for brunch! A fun place to go after a hike in Chataqua. We love the outdoor seating in the summer and always bring our dog. You cannot go wrong with any of their toasts (my favorite are the heirloom avocado and the blueberry ricotta). My husband loves their breakfast brioche sandwich. They have a great matcha latte too!

Google
Great little cafe for a snack post hike at Chautauqua. The avocado toast was divine and yogurt parfait had just enough honey to sweeten it, granola was yummy!

Google
The avocado toast and the blueberry ricotta toast were absolutely fantastic! Their drinks are great. I ordered the spicy and sweet Chai and it was delicious. My only complaint about this place is that it is very small and it is extremely busy. Most of the people there taking up space had their laptops and were there to do work or study. It is certainly not the type of place where people should be sitting for hours, because of the lack of space.

Yelp
The barista is too busy talking to the cashier to care but this isn't even close to the 16oz I paid for.

Yelp
Very cute place with a very cute vibe. I loved the food, good coffee, I loved the outdoor patio.

Yelp
I've been to a few popular cafes listed on Yelp in the area and this is by far my favorite one. This was definitely busier during the weekday than on the weekend mainly because people like to work on their laptop here. It was pretty busy a Thursday around 2-3PM, I love the new unique drinks such as ube latter, matcha strawberry and cold brew lavender, all of which I've tried. I can definitely taste the strawberry compared to other coffee shops that serve this drink. The ube latte wasn't too sweet even though it has condense milk and it was great! I love the ambience, it's bright, clean, and nicely decorated with plants. It wasn't too noisy but still busy with customers. The service was excellent, probably the best I've had in any coffee shop in the USA. I ordered a drink but their machine was done after I ordered, so they gave me a refund plus a gift card for the inconvenience...wow! Definitely recommend this place!

Yelp
App ordering & online ordering work seamlessly (but doesn't take Apple Pay)- for that you have to go inside. Cool white and black tile floors with marble counters reminds me of a French cafe. Croissant sandwich is delicious (although you can tell the croissant itself isn't great when compared to other places like Jeannot's). Happy we stopped here before a hike. If I lived here I would definitely return.

Yelp
Nice little cafe, kind small and with it being super packed made it feel a little cramped. Sat outside and enjoyed the patio seating! Quinoa salad bowl was good not best I've ever tasted but definitely top 10. Good spot try it when in Boulder!

Yelp
High quality ingredients. Friendly staff. Great coffee. And I got to pet a Great Dane.

Yelp
Found this coffee shop on Yelp & what a cute little place! Loved that there were big windows with beautiful views of the mountains. The coffee was delicious, it has that tangy taste that I love. The breakfast was also delish. I loved that my brioche sandwich was made with boiled eggs, very different but so yum! Anytime I'm back in this area, I will be returning!

Yelp
I have not been to this, the original location much these last few years, though I had been here on opening day in 2015 and a regular until the pandemic started. I had always walked here and that has become more problematic for me, especially in the winter as the sidewalks nearby can be icy and dangerous for me if I were to fall. Luckily there is now also a car friendly location across town where someone can drive me when needed. Though this original location, badly needed in this neighborhood and became a rallying spot for neighbor and visitors alike has an incredible outdoor area, it is a bit small on the inside for the numbers that often come though in good weather just the right location. But best if you come on foot or by bike as it can hard to park nearby and often hard on local residents to be able to access their homes. Both places have the same menu and ingredients and suppliers but each spot has individual input which I could notice. But fine either way, it is all handmade in the kitchen. If you have been here in the past, please note, the new menu has a more ample number of choices and the suppliers have been greatly upgraded. Both locations have great wifi and many come to use it. It is wonderful that the menu is far beyond coffee products to do so. The outside is very special here and this location unique in every way. Glad to be back now that spring has finally sprung. Weekends in the summer, so close to Chautauqua, it is always very busy, Come on the way up or after a hike to refresh.

Yelp
Cute cafe. Perfect fresh tasting food. Variety of coffees and teas. Friendly staff. Fair pricing for quality food and presentation

Yelp
Would I say it's the best cup of joe in the city-no. Would I say it's a great vibe and well designed for studying or social gathers-sure. The patio is great but the inside is a little stuffy. They have massive table in the middle which might be good for study groups but not much else. The food was pretty looking but lack lust in taste. I had a London fog to drink and I did like that. I love that it's local owned and close to campus for ease of access.

Yelp
Such a cute neighborhood coffee shop with hood east quick eats! We tried (4) different toasts: Burrata Toast Classic Avocado Toast Prosciutto Toast Blueberry Ricotta toast I listed them in order of my preference but they were all hands down incredible!!! I'm just in particular not a sweets girl so the berry one wasn't as incredible. I also normally am not crazy about pesto so would have normally not ordered the burrata toast but oh my this was by far my FAVORITE ONE! The pesto is not over powering and the ingredients compliment so well.

Yelp
Absolutely my favorite place. Good coffee with amazing view of the flatiron. A little bit on the expensive side but it's worth it.

Oded G.

Yelp
A bit more expensive but very good coffee and food. Inside tends to be crowded if you're looking for a quieter spot.

Yelp
Okay, where does one start... You'll find all the elite white folks in this place -- academics, college types, hippie, yuppie, outdoor, if you want to observe elite white people in the wild, come here. Not a lot of diversity here, but that's Boulder. Not a lot of diversity (for an explanation of this watch the movie: this is not who we are). The five stars is because I love their handmade drinks and foods. It's one of the few spots that the food actually has some flavor. You can taste the intention in the food and drinks. The servers seem cool, too. They all seem to work together well. If you get a chance, go here.

Yelp
I feel like Alpine is getting great again. Amazing environment, especially the location in Chautauqua, and the staff are super friendly, food looks good (haven't tried recently). I do hope they consider bringing in some local / higher quality pastries, but it's not a dealbreaker.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite spots in Boulder. The coffees and teas are on point and don't miss the food... Everything I've had there has been really good! I had a smoked salmon and avocado sandwich, which was delicious and the bread was really really wonderful.

Oswald R.

Yelp
One of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had, paired along with some delicious coffee. Easily the best cafe in Boulder

Jessica B.

Yelp
Yummy food and comfortable atmosphere. Doesn't feel like it's on the Hill. A little spendy but great options for vegetarians.
google avatar

Yelp
Iced Mocha - was okay, it had a little sour taste (from short brew time?). Iced Matcha - the matcha wasn't very subtle. However, it was just the right amount of sweetness. Avocado Tartine - the bread was crunchy and moist. The avocado was good. Ham Crepe Burrito - the crepe became a mush even though we ate it right after we got the order there. The crepe stuck to the wrapper. The filling and flavor was good.

Yelp
Delicious latte....line was long but moved quickly. The patio was lovely to sit at for a coffee break.

Yelp
Heirloom Avocado Toast is solid. Great atmosphere... indoor and outdoor seating. Nice place to chill.

Yelp
A well located cafe near Chautauqua that's mostly full of students from frat and sorority row. The vibe inside can be not great when the undergrads are sitting there scrutinizing each other the whole time. But the coffee and baristas are great. Their espresso drinks are particularly excellent, and I often find myself stopping by for a quick jolt on the way to somewhere else. The outside seating is pleasant and good for about a half hour conversation, but not great for working. If you're looking for a quick stop, highly recommended.

Mason C.

Yelp
Yeah really great if you like spending over $50 at breakfast for some gross ass toast and super mid chai. They don't even serve you your food and our guy who took our order was a prick to me and my girlfriend. In terms of ambiance, you better be a liberal who enjoys wearing hiking boots to breakfast and eating around other peoples dogs because thats literally the only people that go here. I hope you guys lose all of your business to the successful ones down the road like the corner and Starbucks which are also overpriced but at least you'll enjoy your food and service. Unbelievable see you never.

Yelp
Great little break cafe. Good coffee. Tartine were made perfectly. Great spot for light breakfast

Evie G.

Yelp
The restaurant itself is really cute, and my matcha was great. The lady you order from was kind of impatient but whatever haha. My sandwich was so bad I could barely get through eating the smaller half of it. The mustard on it was sooo overpowering and there was one piece of ham it was just actually bad.
google avatar

Yelp
Tartines for the win! We had the six-minute egg tartine and the salmon, and both were fantastic. I was awed by their ability to maintain beautiful plating within a to-go container. Unlike many to-go meals that look soggy and smooshed, this compatible container was a gift to open. They're doing a great job enforcing social distancing and keeping people safe!

Yelp
After having a meeting here a couple of weeks ago and mentally labelling it as a great place to get some work done, I came back earlier today to be productive. The Wi-Fi here is reliable, and you have your choice of Fast, Faster, and Fastest. (I assume most people will choose Fastest, so I tend to go for just Fast.) There are also outlets under pretty much every table inside, excluding the community table. You can camp out here for a while, especially when you're equipped with a strong cup of a coffee and some delicious cafe food. I ordered a cup of black coffee and the turkey pesto sandwich with arugula to tide myself over for lunch. Since the plain black coffee was $3, I shamelessly got a sticky bun for "free" as part of the Yelp app check-in offer to make myself feel less ripped off. Yes, the food and drinks are very, very expensive. However, I reconcile that by telling myself that I'm essentially paying for a co-working space. Street parking is plentiful-- there is no time limit if you park on 9th, and I believe a two-hour limit on the smaller residential streets. Will definitely come back again next time I need to just focus while drink some bougie coffee and eat some bougie food.

Yelp
I love this little coffee shop! Perfect for studying and getting some work done. The outside porch is really nice and the shop is located in a quiet, nice neighborhood. The drinks and food are delicious (especially avocado toast). The employees are nice and helpful. Would recommend :)

Yelp
Great spot, good food and friendly staff. The college kids kinda of ruin the atmosphere, but it's still worth a visit, especially for the views.
google avatar

Yelp
I love Alpine Modern, while everything is slightly overpriced, I don't think that's out of character. It's on the hill, but out of all the craziness. The restaurant is beutiful inside, with nice tables and nice marble. The staff is patient, and the vibes are immaculate. I got a chai and a peanut butter tartine, and neither disappointed. Everything felt fresh and delicious. Would go again.
google avatar

Matt B.

Yelp
Please fix the WiFi though. It's not "free" wifi. We all pay a Wi-Fi premium for our tasty beverages, with the expectation that the wireless internet will work consistently. But it cuts out every hour or so, giving patrons who are trying to work a small aneurism every time.

Yelp
A Boulder-local friend of ours suggested that THIS should be the coffee shop we visit while we were in town; you should always listen to the locals! This place had that trendy, aesthetic mountain vibe that you crave for Instagram-worthy shots, and what's better, everything was delicious. We went for "brunch" on a Friday mid-morning. It was pretty busy when we arrived, and honestly the only reason I've dinged a star is because of the counter service. Having worked in the service industry myself, I know how little effort it takes to simply acknowledge that you know someone's waiting for your attention, and to quickly say "Hey, thanks for waiting! I'll be with you in just a sec!" I completely understand that prepping drinks is time-consuming, and I'm happy to wait, but we stood, at the actual register, un-acknowledged for a good 5 minutes. Under different circumstances (not highly recommended by a friend we were visiting, or if we were local and knew other options in the area, etc.), I likely would've walked out. :/ Minor inconvenience, and again, I understand being in their shoes. We obviously stuck it out, and the food and drinkies made up for it! Salmon Tartine 4/5 :: if it's on the menu, my husband will always order anything salmon-and-lox-esque, and he really liked this rendition! Thick, "good bread" piled high with smoked salmon, topped with pickled onions, dill and chives and drizzle of EVOO. Avo Tartine 4/5 :: I opted to add the six-minute egg, which sat next to a lemony avocado rough-mash sprinkled with paprika and radish slices on another slice of "good bread." Cortado 5/5 :: (equal parts espresso and milk) served in trendy glassware. Espresso was smooth and balanced. The weather was great, so we sat outside, and also enjoyed a kouign amann and morning bun, which we let sit in the sun to get toasty warm before eating :) Thank you, come again? Yeah! If we're ever in the area again, though I do hope to have better service next time.

Yelp
Great coffee! And even more wonderful baristas, always a joy having such energetic folks working at my favorite cafe in Boulder! You can tell everyone enjoys working here because I am never greeted without a smile or laugh from the upbeat baristas like Kori and Reese just to name a few. I'll be coming back to this cafe as long as this establishment keeps their employees! Definitely recommend stopping in for the coffee and the people that make Alpine Modern one of my favorites!

Hayden B.

Yelp
Great place to chat with someone in the morning. The atmosphere is amazing and the location is as well. The coffee was amazing and so was the people watching. Although it is pretty expensive, it is a nice treat for you and a significant other

Aubrey H.

Yelp
Loved it. Food was great, people were nice and the place is just so cute! Please come here.
google avatar

Yelp
I randomly found this place up in the hill by CU. I had a great chai and a truly excellent little Nordic Paleo bread roll that had seeds and was Gluten Free, but tasted like real bread. I don't live in Boulder but when I'm there I will stop by just for those Nordic Buns ! So amazing!!
google avatar

Benn T.

Yelp
Tucked away across a park on College Avenue, this place modulates time to its own pace. Charming surroundings, simple and delicious fare and the quiet but warm service I have come to enjoy in Boulder. Egg tartine, oat milk cappuccino and a peanut butter and honey terrine that I'm trying to stretch out. Life's little indulgences, like dawdling over a delightful breakfast after hiking Mt. Sanitas.
google avatar

Celine H.

Yelp
Cute brunch stop after a quick hike in Boulder. I got the smoked salmon tartine+eggs and the rose bud kombucha. Knocking one star because it's a bit overpriced for what you get. However, the customer service was friendly, and I did enjoy the food.
google avatar

Jessica H.

Yelp
For any instagramers, this is that quintessential cafe of your instagram career. The entirety of the cafe is wildly photogenic from the interior, exterior, food, drinks, bathrooms--EVERYTHING. The cafe pictures of your dreams are here. And as much as I hate to admit this, their avocado toast is pretty amazing. I'd pay $6 for it again. Aesthetics aside, this is pretty much one of the best work-from-home cafes I have been to in terms of layout and amenities. Free WiFi, tables with outlets nearby, lots of space inside and outside, lots of natural lighting...the whole shebang for the remote workers.
google avatar

Zoe P.

Yelp
Great coffee. Good vibes. Would go back for a longer stay to do some work next time. Also my latte was truly delightful. Great pour. Nice work team.
google avatar

Deya Z.

Yelp
Hyper hip coffee shop? Check. Delish overpriced coffee? Check. Nice outdoor space? Check. Yep, you're in Boulder! This place feels like the epitome of Boulder (super white, overpriced, and outdoor spaces). It's a cute space from the outside and just as nice on the inside, if just a little sterile feeling. I agree with a few other comments about service; the baristas were nice but seemed a little more concerned with chatting up their friends or regulars.
google avatar

Hannah K.

Yelp
LOVE this little coffee house. As a frequent coffee shop hopper, I love finding new little places that do coffee well. They have a robust food menu in addition to a full drink menu. The inside is white and modern feeling but the outside appears to be a sweet cottage in a neighborhood. Inside and outside seating, quiet enough to work or read but busy enough to make a good spot to meet friends. Friendly service, will be back! **street parking only**
google avatar

Hanna V.

Yelp
Such a cute spot in the Hill area, but out of the way of most of the craziness. Has great patio and indoor seating and the patio is dog friendly. The food is always great. And the toast is amazing!
google avatar

Tom K.

Yelp
Best coffee shop in Boulder. Very friendly staff. Relaxed environment. Today they made my Cortada with milk infused via Lucky charms cereal. It was heavenly. Not sure it was going to be a regular offering, but ask for it. I suspect they will try to continue it on the menu
google avatar

Josie L.

Yelp
Overpriced coffee, duh cuz it's boulder... But I think this place is the tits. Lots of seating outside and inside, bathroom is always clean (and decorated nicely), and the staff members are nice. This is my favorite neighborhood spot to work from, they have good wifi and something on the menu for whatever you're in the mood for so you can graze throughout the day. Their coffee isn't bad either, less acidic than other places I've tried in the area. My only critique is that anytime I order lavender syrup in my drink it tastes like hand soap, and I get lavender at a lot of other places. Otherwise 5 stars from me :)
google avatar

Ben H.

Yelp
Great coffee and breakfast sandwiches! Highly recommend the brioche ham sandwich or the croissant breakfast sandwich

Jill D.

Yelp
Stopped into here for the first time today, the atmosphere was beautiful. The staff was very friendly, Corey helped me and gave me a bunch of great suggestions! I will say as someone who also works in the food industry their uniform policy looks like it gets hot and uncomfortable!
google avatar

Valentina I.

Yelp
This spot was awesome and a quick walk over after hiking at Chautauqua park. They do a really great job and the atmosphere is awesome. I recommend stopping in to refuel !
