ALQUIMIA Coffee

Alquimia tasting experience was a highlight of my trip to San Salvador. Carlos was an excellent host walking me through the seed to cup experience en español and English. The quality was clear and the craft of brewing was taken seriously as an art form. The food menu wasn’t super memorable but I would recommend the tastings and coffee menu to everyone.

I will say the experience was okay… I won’t judge and put a rating on the coffee since I decided to get a late and that’s essentially milk coffee and if I had to rate it I would give it a 4 out of 10. I ordered me a bahn Mi and the bread was and my wife ordered a spicy turkey and wow they sucked. Flavor and consistencies were not there. My kids ordered pep pizzas and they tasted straight out of a box however they did have a lot of cheese. I say it’s not about all the hype….

Outstanding coffee, especially their G10 Geisha is so flavourful, so rich, I enjoy it every day when I brew it. It's in a beautiful setting with a lovely backyard. Staff are very friendly and take time to show you and explain to you which coffee may best match your preferences. Next time I'm in San Salvador, I will definitely return and buy coffee for my friends abroad to try coffee from El Salvador!

This place is legendary. I wish I would’ve gone here earlier then I would do a difference experience every day. Did seed to cup. Why does no one in US have experiences like this? Feel like the instagramers would eat this place up lmao.

Breakfast at Alquimia Coffee was delicious; we ordered the enfrijoladas and loved every bite. The coffee was spectacular as well. The place is nice and comfy, making it a great spot to relax. The waiter was really nice and friendly, adding to the overall pleasant experience. Highly recommended!

A must visit if you love great coffee and exceptional desserts. The place itself is lovely and you can either stay in A/C or go outdoors. The banana cream pie and torta vasca were a glorious experience.

The experience was great and the barista was very good. I really enjoyed the visit. However, when we bought a bag of coffee to take home, the 20% tip was applied to the total (one bar experience + product) instead of just the service. It felt a bit sneaky and left me feeling slightly taken advantage of. This is something to be aware of if you’re visiting. (I added a copy of the receipt. It was just me doing the experience since my boyfriend doesn’t like coffee 🤷🏽‍♀️)

Place looks fancy, but it's completely a reap off. They offer you services/experiences without explaining the price nor the difference. They want to charge $60+ per person just for the same guy to barely explain everything while chatting with the rest of the crew about his weekend plans. Totally unprofessional and wish we never wasted our time and money here. We came on a Friday afternoon and the ladies restroom was being painted so I had to use it while a random guy(painter) was right in front of the door. Completely horrible experience. DO NOT COME HERE! We sat for a good 10 minutes before somebody would pay attention to us.
