This place is a hidden gem. The burgers are absolutely incredible – juicy meat, soft buns, and super fresh ingredients. The homemade fries are amazing, and the atmosphere is really friendly. Special shoutout to the staff for their top-notch service with a smile. If you’re a burger fan, this is the spot you don’t want to miss! I’ll definitely be coming back

Ill start of by saying i would usually give a place like this 4 stars. That is to say the food is great but not a crazy unique experience. I did however give them a 5 because firstly they’re clearly relatively new / start up. The service is amazing and the owners/guy from the kitchen came out, greeted me, and was very nice. The food is also outstanding and its halal. Definitely try it out!

Overall some really good southern style fried chicken. Stopped in for my first time today and I really enjoyed it. Howlin Rays is still my favorite in town, but this is also a great option. I wish the sandwich would be one large chicken breast instead of two tenders, but it still had some really nice flavors. Service was very quick and the man behind the counter was polite. It’s located in a small strip mall and has about 15 free parking spaces attached, but neighborhood street parking is also easy and close. They have a fairly small menu, but has all the items you would expect from a fried chicken place. The main options are chicken tenders and a chicken sandwich, which is made from the chicken tenders as well. The seasoning on them is really nice and is very consistent with the classic southern style fried chicken. The portion sizes are very fair and you will not leave hungry. I really enjoyed the fries on the side and thought they had a great seasoning. I would definitely recommend ordering them with your meal. Pricing is also fair so I would comfortably recommend this place to any fan of fried chicken. I plan to be back in the future to try more items.

Just came to this location with my family. We have tried several hot chicken places and this was by far the best one! Halal and all the guys working there were so friendly and welcoming. Great flavor! Chicken was perfectly crispy. My son had the waffle hot chicken sandwich and it was perfectly flavored. The waffle was sweet with the spicy chicken…so good!

LOVE the waffles and curly fries! Chicken was seasoned scrumptiously and super tender on the inside. Not busy at all on a Wednesday night, yet food was cooked to perfection. Service was also wonderful! Definitely plan on coming back!

I had an absolutely delightful experience at Al's Hot Chicken! The star of the show for me was their sensational chicken sandwich. The crispy, flavorful chicken combined with the soft and slightly sweet waffle bun created a perfect harmony of textures and tastes that left me craving more. For anyone who is a hot chicken fan you have to try this place. The way they breaded their chicken wings was to perfection. We got the sandwich, breaded wings and fried pickles. They had the best fried pickles. I liked how lite and fluffy they were, tasted almost like chips. Would definitely recommend and next time I'll call in advance

Maybe I am imagining it but even though I'm not Muslim I do feel halal chicken tastes better than normal chicken. Al's was open late and their hot chicken is halal, which among many things means the chicken is handled and prepared humanely and cleanly. Too bad they closing!

Pretty good! Ordered a 2 slider + fries combo, and a size of Mac and cheese. The sliders are the size of a small hamburger bun, so 1 was enough for me but not enough for my partner. We got the Al's white sauce which was good! It wasn't ranch-like, rather a diluted garlic taste. The Cajun seasoning on the fries was very good! The Mac and cheese was bland and I wouldn't really recommend it. Parking is a small shared lot. Couple of seats inside but we took our order to-go.

Service was friendly and take out was pretty quick! These were the pros. The parking too was an added bonus. The food on the other hand was not so great and prices were a bit on the heavier side vs other fried chicken places around. Like come on... $25 for combo 3 + an extra strip? Medium was spicy, chicken was good size and was moist; however, the crispiness wasn't well retained, the taste was bland even with the sauces, and the fries could have been fried more. On top of this my fries and chicken were burnt!!

This place is delicious! Everything is made to order and the staff are so nice. Ive tried a lot of different things from this place but highlights are the chicken and waffles and Mac and cheese.

The food is from heaven, service just amazing & th ambiance is perfect . I had a chicken salad medium hot it's the best chicken salad I had by far ( halal) . The chicken here taste better then Dave's hot chicken . I will definitely come back . Keep it up Best of luck .

PROS 1. SOLID MEAL - This is some solid fried chicken sandwich and fries. It tastes better when it's hot. If you just need the fix, this restaurant would do the job. No, it is not the most amazing fried chicken that I have eaten. 2. LIMITED FREE PARKING AVAILABLE - On a Friday night around 8PM, we were able to easily find a spot in their small parking lot (it is FREE -- but limited when it's busy I guess). 3. GOOD LOCATION - It's in a convenient location if you're destination requires going down Sepulveda or the 405 because it's near Sepulveda and Santa Monica. CONS 1. NOT ABLE TO PLACE PHONE ORDER - If you are ordering for pick-up, you HAVE to place an order online. This is inconvenient if you are driving and it would be faster to call and place an order over the phone instead of pulling over and using your phone. 2. PRICIER - If you want the cheapest fried chicken sandwich for your buck, Al's Hot Chicken is not the answer. For the Nash sandwich and fries combo, I paid $15. 27 total. 3. BATHROOM - A key is required to access the bathroom, but they place it on a big utensil which I could feel was so dirty (this is more of a commentary for those who would prefer not to touch an item like that). Additionally, the toilet was flooded so none of the customers who were there could use the restroom for that type of "business."

Yusef is the worst!!! Below the order says no sauce and when mentioned he blew up and said he's not remaking it. Excuse me!? I already paid and expect the food to be made as ordered. So confused why he began to argue with me. When my husband came in his entire tone changed. I will never give this business my money. I requested a refund and left. Yusef should have taken accountability and remade the sandwich. Order 8614. They were unable to print a receipt as proof of refund.

I have tried Al's twice now. The chicken strips and the slider. The chicken is pretty tender with a lot of flavor. I can only do mild and it does have a kick to it but not too bad. I love the slider as it has one full chicken strip, pickles, sauce and coleslaw but I get without coleslaw. Perfect side for me I'm assuming the full sized sandwich must have at least 2 chicken strips on it. The fries are seasoned kind of Cajun I think and are great too. The service was friendly and they were pretty quick. I only rate it a 4 because I compare all hot chicken to Monster Hot Chicken in Brea which is an all around 5. If it's not as good as that in my opinion then I drop it down. But I do like it and recommend Al's and I will be back.

Al's Hot Chicken brings more hot fried chicken to West LA. located in the plaza off Sepulvada, this Al's location is a casual cozy spot with a neat mural, red metal seats, and a chill staff from who you can order from if you don't prefer to use the two digital kiosks. Came on a Sunday night so things were moving a little slow since only two people were staffed, but was able to get my food in about 10 minutes. Chicken was overall well cooked. Sandwich was tasty and moist. Tender was a dry tad but fine with the ranch. Wish there was more crunch on the crunch. They are definitely generous with the crinkle cut fries though could've been battered some more. Plaza parking available

I stopped by chance at that restaurant starving after a day of work , the place is so clean , opened 6 months ago ( was pizza place , friend worked there ) , talking to the owner was pleasure, the cook was hid brother , this family chicken Fraîche meal are so tasty too Will stop for long times again for sure :)

Solid if somewhat generic hot chicken. They DO have non-fried chicken items on the menu that might be more interesting-- am very curious about those, but having not tried them yet, cannot comment on them. Service for a fast casual place is good and they are neatly kept, which elevates this location over the run of the mill.

HOT CHICKEN PLATE is very good, and is a good deal. The portion is large. Casual dining.

Again, I'm on my hot chicken grind. I got Combo #1 which came with a sandwich and I replaced the regular fries with curly fries: a substitute I definitely recommend making. The fries were crispy and well-seasoned all throughout to the point where it was addicting. The hot chicken was also so good paired with the creamy slaw and buttery brioche bun. I got the mild level and although it wasn't spicy for me, the tenders themselves were still pretty red. Next up was Combo #3: 3 Chicken Strips and Coleslaw. These chicken strips were massive. I challenged myself by getting the hot level and I really liked it. It was spicy but not to the point where I couldn't enjoy my food and was heaving because of it. Al's has about 8 different sauces and I tried almost all of them. I found the best pairing to be Al's Hot sauce or Al's Honey sauce. The creamier the sauce the better! Speaking of creamy, adding coleslaw to the tender is definitely the move. Now with all that said, the surprise of the night was actually the waffle! I didn't expect much because I obviously came here for the chicken. But they use a Liege waffle which is much denser than your typical waffle and filled with clusters of caramelized pearl sugar. I was so shocked by the quality and taste of it that I almost finished it without offering to share, oops. I ate it as dessert and it was the best way to end my meal. The service was also amazing. He made sure that we had extra napkins and even came by our table to give us more sauce after realizing that we were using a lot of it. There's a parking lot out front so if it's off-peak hours I'd say parking isn't a worry.

I came here with a group of friends on a whim, and I needed to write this. I got the 2 Sliders ( level: "Hot") & Fries combo with a side of white sauce + cheese sauce and total was about $13 Heat: Their "Hot" was the right amount of heat to make you want to keep eating it (in my case, leaving my nose slightly runny) Food: The sliders are the size of a burger bun & the crinkle cut fries were seasoned to perfection . The chicken? Fantastic fried crispiness. The white sauce had a middle eastern spice flair to it that is unique to the restaurant, and I really enjoyed it. Service: Nice & efficient

Sorry to say my experience was very disappointing. I got the sandwich combo. The chicken was dry and stringy, it was overly salty, and the chicken was not crispy at all. Same thing with the French fries, they were limp. I got the mild and it was described as a little bit of heat, but it had none at all.

this restaurant is the best restaurant in town honestly, Very good food ,very good customer service and super clean. I was amazed the employees washed their hands also and they have very good Sunday special sandwich. You have to try it.

Came to get the combo #2 and 6 chicken nugget tenders combo. I ordered mild... And medium for the nuggets... Not only did I get the worst nugget of my life... But... THEY TRIED TO GIVE ME HEART BURN!! The combo #2 was WAY too spicy and... I HAVE A HIGH SPICE TOLERANCE!!! And when I tried to ask if they made it wrong the chef accused me of being wrong... and accused me or being a WIMP!!! (Moral of the story) Some people can't handle that much spice They should make improvements!!!!!!!

So good. The wrap is unreal. Huge! The service was great. The owner has a really good attitude and the Nashville hot wrap was better than expected.

Delicious tenders, my only complaint would be that you do have to wait a little while until they are ready, but that's because they are fresh from the fryer! The medium spicy level is actually the perfect spicy for me,loved my chicken sandwich combo with fries. Maybe next time I'll try the next level of spicy.

Delicious spot to grab a meal for lunch or dinner. I opted for a chicken sandwich at the hot level, I could have gone a level up and probably would have been fine. Chicken was seasoned perfectly and they had a great slaw on top. Staff were super friendly and accommodating, and they have adequate seating. Will definitely be back.

This is the spot to be for your hot chicken cravings. So many spicy levels and combos you can choose from. All the sauces are made in house. Great service and the restaurant is really clean with plenty of seating. There is also plenty of parking as long as you avoid the lunch hour. I really liked the chicken sandwich and the waffle!

If you're a sucker for a good hot chicken sando, you definitely have to check out the CLUCK-ing hottest Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich in all of Los Angeles at @alshotchicken.santamonicablvd . Their spiciest level clocks in at 2.2 million Scoville Heat units, which is equivalent to the Carolina Reaper, and requires a signed waiver to try. While I personally didn't get to try this (since I was feeling a bit under the weather that day), I would definitely recommend at least "Hot" if you love spice as much as I do. I also love how they carry so many halal chicken tenders, sandwiches, quarters, wings, boneless, and waffle options, and you definitely can't go wrong with how fresh, well-seasoned, and tender their chicken is. I highly recommend their sandwiches, which are topped with a fresh coleslaw salad and very fluffy sandwich buns, as well as the chicken and waffles, which were beautifully crispy with sugar crystals and paired perfectly with the spicy chicken. Cooked to order chicken that brings a bit of heat! I got combo #3. The chicken tenders were juicy, and the medium spicy level worked well for me. It's a small but clean place, with a couple of seats for dine-in.

Ordered the tender & fries combo x spicy level and it KICKS. I love spicy food and this definitely hit the spot. I was originally craving cheese fries so I was a little disappointed at the tiny amount of cheese they gave me in a little container on the side. I think I'll come back to try the chicken sando. Idk if I'm brave enough to try the spiciest level as the x spicy left a burning sensation on my lips but maybe! This ain't white people spicy levels so beware

Get the loaded fries! Best item on the menu. Spicy crispy chicken tender chopped up, layered over a HUGE portion of crispy well seasoned fries, along with cheese sauce, shredded lettuce, and white sauce. I always add a second tender for more protein. 10/10 highly recommend. Also the best part is that everything is halal. All muslims should try this place.

The entire menu is delicious. The staff is incredible and the chef even brought out a taster of the new curry bowl they just added and I'll be coming back for that REGULARLY. The chicken and rice bowl was incredible juicy and well seasoned and was so worth the money because the serving is huge and enough to feed for me the whole day. The shop has a lovely mural on the wall which shows how much care the team took into providing a great atmosphere for their customers. Al's Hot Chicken is now a regular place I'll be visiting whenever I want some spicy chicken.

This review is for delivery only. I didn't get a chance to eat at the actually restaurant. We ordered the combo with the sandwich and fries and another order of only a sandwich. The portions are big so you can definitely just share the fries. I got the mild which truly is mild. Some places the mild is still really spicy. And this one wasn't. Just a small kick but not really. My husband got the medium and his was spicy but nothing he couldn't handle. The sandwiches are packed with chicken. I couldn't even finish mine. The fries were soggy (from the delivery, thanks LA traffic) but they have good flavor. I'm sure had I gotten them at the restaurant, they would have been delicious. We felt the sandwiches were missing like a sauce. But you had to pay extra for a sauce. Overall, it was really good and we would go back to try it straight from the source.

Horrible customer service went 3 times to see if it would improve typical wait time 25 minutes chicken was dry each time so it's overcooked the cook himself had a verbal problem this last time because I was looking at him work became very confrontational food is very subpar and they seem not to care I went all 3 times in the evening after 5pm so if they have an owner that's there in the daytime your night crew does not care about your business I give it a 4 out of 10 because I guess the food is edible the spice adds no flavor better drown it in as much sauce as possible and I was really hoping this would work out because I work nearby the one in Hollywood is better I feel this place gets a d minus

It's so so bad.. the drum sticks are just coated with chilly powder. That's it. The meat is so dry and has no other flavor.

Als Loaded Fries (Large) My order was about 3 minutes late, the manager came and asked for my order number - then he said he was very sorry that my order is late. A couple of mins later , he came and said bad news , they had left my Order out and it wasn't gonna be ready for another 10 mins. he asked if I wanted to trade for chicken strips and I said ok. Then he came back again with my cash and he said he wanted to make it right!!! He gave me my full amount back. He just wanted to do the right thing and he seemed like an amazing business man! Very kind person. I would highly recommend this place. Amazing food very affordable and fair pricing.

Good chicken. The level of spice is legitimately hot. I like things spicy and "hot" was too hot for me...and there's 2 levels above that. Phew!

This is a Hot spot for this style of juicy delicious chicken! The service is very friendly and the food is made fresh. The establishment is very clean and has a nice restroom for customers only; six movable tables with two chairs per table to accommodate larger parties.

A kid with a tired/sleepless face and goofy hair without a hairnet or a hat "welcomes" you on a Saturday afternoon - he's just standing there. The place shows signs of identity crisis with contemporary hot chicken place decor and furniture and asian mom and pop restaurant style handwritten signs from "No dogs allowed" to "Monster mango flavor special." You're waiting for your order while the kid with hair and without a hat is filling up the sauce containers. Your order is finally ready, which you receive in a trash bag quality black plastic bag. The chicken is crispy, but not as crispy as Dave's, and the skin starts falling off while eating. The bottom bun gets too flat, and the roughly chopped and without much flavor slaw is falling out of the sandwich. The sandwiches were not marked by their different hotness level. The fries were ok. Basically, if you don't have Dave's available, this is a good substitute for a higher price.

Walked in without any expectations. This is a nearly perfect chicken sandwich. My only nitpick is I would add more vinegar/brightness, maybe in the slaw. Delicious!

There's so many hot chicken spots now days, this is a very good and very legit spot! The chicken is fresh, juicy and marinated very well! Besides the food the guys that run the place are friendly and very nice and give good takes on what option might be the best for you! Give this spot a try
