Brasserie T Opens in Brossard’s Dix 30, From the Owner of Toque | Eater Montreal

"I observed that the new Brasserie T sits adjacent to the Alt Hotel, which is also trying to upmarket the Dix30 area by adding amenities like a chic bar." - Tim Forster

Wonderful hotel, extremely friendly staff, great location, free and easy parking. The hotel is beautiful, as are the rooms. Very clean, tastefully decorated and soundproof. I had an early morning appointment for my dog at a clinic nearby and the Alt is pet-friendly, which really saved my day. They also have a cute pet package including a dog bed, bowls and treats. I had a beautiful corner room with a small refrigerator, which was very practical. Thank you to all the wonderful staff for a great stay. I highly recommend this hotel and will return for sure if I need to return to that area.

Great location—right across the border from the U.S., which made it really convenient. The place was clean and generally well-maintained. I also really liked the interior design throughout the hotel; it had a stylish and thoughtful feel in every corner. One unique thing was that our room was on the corner, so there was a large empty space as soon as we walked in. It felt a bit unusual, but not necessarily a bad thing. However, I was surprised to find a tear in the bed sheet, which took away from the overall impression. Also, the water pressure in the shower was very weak, making it a bit uncomfortable to use. Not sure if it was the showerhead or a plumbing issue. Other than that, it was a decent experience. Also, it was a little disappointing that there was no bottled water provided in the room—something you’d typically expect at this level.

Very nice hotel, high ceilings in rooms, nice smelling toiletries, nice location next to an “outdoor mall” which was pretty peaceful to walk around. Good pastries offered in the am (for a fee). My only criticism is that we found Julie, (the woman at the front desk terminal all the way to the left near front doors) to be unfriendly and condescending. Not sure how she got a front desk job interacting with guests … she’s largely the reason for 4 stars vs 5.

I had a good stay overall—the room was clean, comfortable, and the staff was friendly. Just a couple of things that could be improved: there were no water bottles in the room, and the water station at reception wasn’t very convenient to use when staying on the 5th floor. Also, the washroom doors didn’t have proper latches or locks, which was a bit uncomfortable. Other than that, everything was nice.

Modern hotel with all many amenities. Bed is amazingly comfortable. Local shops and restaurants all within walking distance. Basically anything you need is right there.

The entrance is difficult to get to as Google leads you to closed sections. After going in circles you can manage. However getting out and on to the highway is quick. The rooms are dark and the aesthetic is very masculine (grey, black and red). This Hotel is not kid friendly with glass closet doors. The hotel staff were cordial.

Very comfortable. Only set back is there no fridge in the room. My room window curtain and blind didn’t keep the morning light out. Rolling curtain too narrow.

Hard to get into the parking lot but other then that, great stay. Pleasant staff, nice rooms, lots of stuff close to the hotel.

Yelp
Truly dog-friendly hotel with very personable and responsible staff. We travel with 3 dogs, so finding a nice hotel that doesn't charge an outlandish amount for a pet fee is golden! Not only that, but because 2 of our 3 dogs are certified therapy dogs, they waived the pet fee. We also had 2 stainless steel dog bowls in the room and a nice dog bed. How great is that? Room was very nice with a mini fridge, small desk and a very strange chair in the corner. It may have looked cool, but I tried it but it was hardly comfortable! The dogs used it for looking out the windows. The bathroom was spacious with a wooden spa bench for getting dressed, plus plenty of high quality towels. Bonus points for a make up mirror! The lounge is a mix of comfortable chairs/couches and nice for a glass of wine. The front desk will happily make you a latte and there are a selection of menu items for a light breakfast or lunch. While there are no microwaves in the room, you can use the one in the lobby. Free parking was also a huge reason to stay in Broussard vs. Montreal. There were plenty of stores/restaurants within walking distance. For the dogs, there is a section of grass & trees directly to the right of the entrance, along with a poop bag dispenser. The location is very convenient to get to downtown Montreal by going over a nearby bridge. All in all, a very pleasant and stress free stay.

Yelp
Really enjoyed this place. Came for work related business and picked this hotel to stay in. Area around the hotel was nice and restaurants were within walking distance. Staff were very polite and professional. Was only about 20 minutes from the airport. Would definitely recommend this place. I am a huge hot shower type of guy and the shower didn't disappoint, it was very hot. AC was nice and cold as well. A little pricey and security deposit is high as well.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel! I stay at Hilton properties where I travel but work colleagues suggested I stay here. Beautiful accommodations and the staff was very helpful. Great corner room facing the shops and restaurants. Excellent places to dine. The desk gives you discounts to the local places. This is a beautiful room. I would highly recommend.

Yelp
Very cool and trendy hotel on the South Shore - 15 minutes from downtown Montreal (providing it isn't rush hour). Great bed, great linens, great shower and really friendly staff - all for $129 per night (this is a bargain in Montreal). They don't have a restaurant - but they do have a great breakfast restaurant (Eggstyle) just next door - and they are in the Quartier Dix30 so there are plenty of chain restaurants nearby - some of them deliver. If you don't need to be downtown - this is a neat place to stay. They really try hard

Yelp
The hotel is trendy and the room is super modern and clean, but this place is clearly a Hotel established by some University Graduates who think that they will make millions by creating a fancy looking hotel, without considering the ESSENTIALS of a hotel. There is no parking. I was traveling with my family, so that was somewhat of an inconvenience but still, not the worst. The rooms have no curtains. NO CURTAINS. They have white blinds, and since our room was facing sunrise, the room was FIILED with light when the sun rose around 5am. Impossible to sleep through it. Hellooooo, this is a hotel. The first thing people need a hotel for is sleep! Not fancy sheets. When we told reception, they mentioned many guests have complained and they were 'considering' it. Are you kidding me? To me, this is a huge mistake that I would rectify immediately were I the owner of the Hotel. Also, one day my phone charger went missing. I always left it in the nightstand, ON it. I asked the staff if it was moved by cleaning crew, they had no idea, then gave me some bogus excuse, saying the hotel vacuum must have sucked it up. A substantial blackberry charger? Two days later, they gave me what they called 'a new one to replace it'. It was clearly not new, and I am convinced it was my original charger, which made us think that someone swiped it thinking we wouldn't notice? Unprofessional. Also small things were off. For the price, the hallways and elevator weren't spotless, did not convey attention to detail that you would expect from a pricey hotel. Reception - young graduates probably - doesn't even bother greeting guests when they walk into the hotel. A little greeting goes a long way in conveying respect and professionalism. This place is not worth the hype and price. They have a long way to go.

Yelp
Modern decor, comfortable Eco hotel close to restaurants & shops on South Shore Just stayed there last night for a work meeting. Very comfortable. Room was a good size, comfortable bed, good size TV, clean bathroom. Fruits & Passion products - full size so it's communal. Minimalist style, if you want drinks or snacks or coffee you have to buy them from the Front desk. Tons of parking. Wifi didn't work in the room, but worked in the lobby. Restaurant upstairs in mall (Eggstyle) is where you can grab breakfast.

Yelp
Big on trying to be modern, less on functionality and design. My review of this place is based on a meeting function in which I didn't stay at the hotel but we had business meetings and lunch. This hotel tries to be so modern and Euro-cool yet I believe it's kitschy and less functional when you think about it. You enter the hotel and it appears very avant-garde, minimalist and styley! In my mind I believe they tried to copy the concept of W hotels from the Starwood chain. Our meeting room was on the second floor. We had to park across from the hotel in the Dix - trente parking. I could have taken the elevator upstairs but decided to take the stairs. Our meeting room was okay yet many of the woman complained the AC kept the room too cold. I like the rooms to be cold so I obliged and turned the heat up. AC kept going on! Our lunch was in the 2nd floor lobby open area. In the back they had what I could only describe as big huge tube you crawl under to make a phone call on your cell for privacy. Again kitschy yet minimalist functional. The coffee was just ordinary being served. So were the pastries and continental breakfast. Lunch was okay asian-salad with those crunchy noodles a variety of wraps (chicken and turkey bacon) and some desert I didn't try. It was an okay lunch but somewhat forgettable. As you can see I'm not that wowed by this place.

Yelp
Rooms are clean, simple and no frills. Many plugs which is helpful. The bed is comfortable. The service is very good with a very accommodating front desk. Bathroom is clean and modem. No bathtub. Ask for extra towels as everything is sparse. Downsides...no room service. The gym is very small and often full. They are open 24 hours which is helpful. In the area this is a good location with restaurants doors down. Walking distance to many shops.

Yelp
Modern and clean hotel in a great area. We loved especially how we could park underground and could go directly from the parking garage to our room without going outside. Check in and checkout was super easy. We loved the lemon water in the lobby, where we stopped to fill our water bottles for the day. The rooms itself are very small but functional. Toiletries are provided in big refillable bottles to prevent waste which was great. We also loved that the windows had blinds and also a big vinyl layer to block out everything. The TVs have chromecast so you can stream Netflix and online shows through the tv which was a great bonus. The rooms also have nespresso machines, but no tea. The area is great with lots of restaurants, shopping and a spa all within walking distance. The only downside to this hotel is that the rooms are quite small and there is no pool, which in my opinion would make for a fabulous stay. Overall we had a pleasant and enjoyable stay here.

Yelp
Effort to be a trendy, Euro-like and modern a little overdone. No restaurant on hotel and worst of all no minibar in room. Bed and room comfortable. Staff friendly. Maybe a little thrown off by fact that I checked in at midnight, elevator from garage was broken, had to order in food from a local pizza place where they didn't answer phone the first 10 times I called, had to go to lobby to get a few beers to bring to my room and wireless was not working. Ugh!!!
