We stayed here for two nights over the long weekend sleeping off the jet lag before we travelled on to Banff and Jasper. We were looking for something comfortable in a reasonably central and a good rate. I think I was given this hotel as a recommendation in a TA forum question, and found the rate to be good for the apparent standard of accommodation. The hotel is a short Uber ride from the airport and is situated on the river, about a 20 minute walk from the Calgary Tower. Our room was quite small, but the standard was good. Everything was in a good state of repair, and everything worked the way it should. The room had a nespresso machine, and a kettle was also delivered to our room on request so we could also have tea. The area is safe enough. There are a lot of homeless people resident along the river, under the bridges, but we found the walk along the river quite safe. There were plenty of people jogging, walking their dogs and cycling, and the homeless people, whilst obviously having their own private problems, were not begging or intimidating in any way. So don't let that put you off. If I were to stay here again, the one thing I would do is to not add breakfast to the bill. Breakfast can be added at a cost of 20 CAD pp, taken at the ajoining cafe, but on reflection this didn't seem to offer any advantage by way of a discount. All it did was to restrict your choices to the hotel breakfast menu (which you could order at a similar price anyway on a walk in). All in all, however, if we were to visit Calgary again, we'd stay here again
