Karen restaurant of nightmares. They got angry and rude after we said we’re ordering food! We only got coffee. All the food looked bland and dry and frozen. Ripoff prices. Monopoly airport I would never eat here, better off to fast.

I went to the bar to grab a bite to eat and Jennifer took my order - the burger and a Pepsi. I inquired if I could have it to go and she informed me that I needed to go to the takeout area. I apologize and went to the takeout counter. After placing my order, I went to the bathroom. Upon my return, I was met with “didn’t you place an order at the bar?” I shared with them what happened and then the gentleman what seemed to be the manager, walked to the bar where Jennifer was and they began discussing me and what happened. I walked over to them and the manager waved me off. If it wasn’t for the customer service from the cook and the young lady that took my order, I would’ve asked for my money back. Logan Airport should place another restaurant in the terminal. I will not eat there nor order from there again. Mayor Angela Caraway Town of Ansonville, NC

I'm glad I didn't look at reviews before sitting down, because I probably would have gone somewhere else. I don't know what happened, but I apparently had a really different experience from everyone else! The pizza (fennel sausage) was delicious, and the service was good. I let the server know I was boarding in 25 minutes, she said the pizza would take 15-20 and I said I'd risk it. It came out exactly when she said it would. The crust was good, but nothing to write home about (although it tasted like it had a little sourdough in it, which was a good touch.) It was a little "bready" in a way that's typical at places that don't specialize in pizza, but honestly way better than my expectations for an airport. The sauce/cheese/toppings, though, were fantastic. To the person who called theirs burnt, and posted a picture -- we might have to agree to disagree on what a good Neapolitan pizza should look like, but mine also came out a bit lighter than yours. If you're used to high-touch restaurant service, you might find the staff a bit rushed, but frankly I'm an introvert and the only thing I care about in airport food service is efficiency, and I give them an A+. (I guess a bunch of the other reviews found them to be understaffed and having issues during breakfast. I had dinner, and not at a peak mealtime, so I can't speak to that.) Oh, and to the people saying it's overpriced... yeah, you're probably right. I'm from the SF Bay Area, so I guess I'm used to it.

Food was good, but service was nonexistent, even though I can count 4 employees standing around not doing anything. I’m gonna get my own refill at this point. I also need my check and making clear eye contact with the 4 employees does not work.

Only restaurant to eat at in Logan airport September 19, 2024 in Terminal A. Not much choice. Limited menu. My wife and I had to " bus" ( clean) our table and seat ourselves. We had the Grilled Chicken BLT sandwich. Big enough to split. Tasty. The positive aspect was food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. Also there was no rush to have us leave. We had a long lay over.

Google
The most uninspired burger I’ve ever had. I love burgers and I don’t think I’ve ever not finished one and I left a couple bites of it. Looks pretty solid but just flavorless. Pickle was solid. Generous portion of fries but just standard frozen fries. All for 20.87$ (before tip) place is a rip off.

Go to Dunkin instead. Bad service. Bad food. Went here for breakfast and saw a sign to seat myself. Sat down at a dirty table and waited 5 minutes as 3 servers that were on their phone walked past me. I eventually had to go to the front to ask for a server. The server I had clearly didn’t want to be there, dragged his feet around as he walked from table to table. The food was on par with hospital food. I ordered avocado toast with potatoes. What arrived was a prepackaged guacamole with a few cherry tomatoes on top. And the potatoes for breakfast? Cold French fries. All of this was $25 and the server rudely grabbed the receipt I had signed before I even had a chance to get up and leave. Just go to Dunkin. It’ll be cheaper and taste way better.

I came through Logan super early on a Saturday, waited in the obvious line and spent $11 on a croissant with butter, jam, and potatoes. I even left a tip at the counter. So I get my food and go to sit at the establishment’s seating. Immediately someone came over and was quizzing me on whether my food came from their restaurant, and seeing that it did, proceeded to ask me to move over to a big group high top table that was set aside for takeout orders. Poorly executed, but not unreasonable. She went on to say “This area is for tipping customers! “ Now I’m seeing red..I showed her my slip that clearly said dine-in, the same order I’d already left a good tip on and she replied a snarky “whatever” and walked away. Good morning to you too! I’d of course gone in and asked for a menu had I known that that was even an option. I mean why else does one pay $11 for a croissant with a smuckers grape jelly packet? If the management feels so particular about this, they should have a sign indicating “wait service over there” on a sign or something. I mean talk about tone deaf..it’s an airport, where, by definition, people are in an unfamiliar place. The words dine-in certainly seemed to fit my breakfast! This is no way to treat your paying, tipping customers. Whatever right? I’d lost my appetite by this point and left after 2 bites of mid to low quality croissant. Dunkin’ Donuts it was..they were very friendly!

Yelp
This is the furthest $23 (19 plus tax and tip I believe) has ever gotten me in the airport. Feeds two people if they're not super hungry. 10 minutes, hot and cooked well. 9/10 by airport standards, 5/10 in the real world. Pizza is pizza. Came here because I saw a rat at B good and decided not to order food

Catherine C.

Yelp
Such polite staff, God food and a nice atmosphere. Wasn't expecting great food and service in a busy airport and I was pleasantly surprised. Make the trip to Terminal A

Lydia L.

Yelp
Garlic bread and a glass of wine, $37 (with tip). Expensive even for an airport, but the pizza looked like a better deal. Service was fast and friendly. Marinara was quite salty for some reason?

Ashley W.

Yelp
Always delicious, always slow. Been here for several pre flight meals here. Chicken Alfredo is amazing. Bar staff is all over it, table service is not.

Kelsey D.

Yelp
I ate at Alta Strada on the way home from a trip and needed dinner before getting on the flight. I was with others and this is where we ended up. I started my meal with an Aperol Spritz and then got a burger with lettuce, cheese, and a pickle and a side salad instead of french fries. Our waiter told me that the buns and burgers were cooked on the same surface and asked how severe my allergy was. They ended up cooking my burger in the oven or on the stove and it ended up really good and the perfect meal before flying home. I was glad they were able to work with me so I could eat something safely because airports are usually tougher spots to find food. The restaurant was busy and the service was slow but that tends to occur at airport restaurants.

Sadie W.

Yelp
Surprisingly delicious Italian right by my gate in Logan! Bartender Jennifer was awesome, friendly, helpful. Thanks!

Jeff F.

Yelp
I would give Fox and the Flight the edge on airport food in terminal A but the spicy rigatoni here is worth grabbing if you're on this side of terminal A

Katie A.

Yelp
My expectation for airport dining is so low, but Alta Strada is pretty decent. I ordered a glass of wine and a baby arugula salad, which was nothing fancy; just arugula, parmesan, and some light dressing. Super filling portion, and the service was very fast. They have tables, but I opted to sit at the bar. As a plus, they have multiple TVs, which was nice because I wanted to watch football before my flight. Will definitely come here again if I fly out of BOS.

Sam C.

Yelp
Was pretty hungry after my flight and decided to grab a bite at the airport. I stored here after seeing they had a fennel sausage pizza. It sounds so good right? But it's just ok, it had the potential to be great, but it's kinda dry and slightly overcooked on the crust

Hanna M.

Yelp
Most definitely worth stopping in, great service, great food and great atmosphere. Our waiter AL did such a great job, your wait for your meal is very minimal so if you do not have much time just let them know.

Phil B.

Yelp
Surprisingly very good for airport food. Salad was much bigger then expected and we were able to share and have some leftover. The cheese and tomato plate was good. The pepperoni pizza had wonderful crust. Would have been better with more cheese but it was still very good. Good space and able to put luggage by table with no issues.

Rita V.

Yelp
On the trip of the nicest people on the planet, we joined the bar for a refreshing alcoholic beverage of our choice. AND MAN were we absolutely blown away by the lovely bartenders and their "wit", upbeat attitude, didn't spill a drop or miss a thirsty drinker. People around us were happy with their meals. Not sure how it measures up to their Wellesley location (a Chef Tsai favorite in his 'hood), but the people... ah their people. And I was perfectly happy with my afternoon Aperol Spritz before my flight!

Ryan H.

Yelp
Requested the Alta Old Fashioned. The bartender said they didn't have any bitters and suggested just the same bourbon on the rocks without the rest of the ingredients. I accepted, then found that there was a 1.25 up charge for fewer ingredients. $18.25 for a single seemed pretty steep. Pasta was good.

Patricia E.

Yelp
I have never written a review like this before, but there's a first for everything. Was taking a red eye to NY and had a 2 hr layover in Boston. I reviewed all my food choices 6 weeks in advance and decided I wanted good Italian food. I called Alta Strada in the airport on 3-17 at 8:37 a.m. MST and confirmed they would be open at 6 a.m. I was told they would be, and they would be serving the FULL menu. Yeah! I had a plan. Lugged my carry on across the terminal to Alta Strada. Arrived about 6:30 a.m. Walked around it looking for a hostess station or something directing me to seating and not the To Go window. As I walked in, a waiter approached and I asked where to sit, then asked about the menu (before sitting). Nope, just the 4 breakfast options. I explained I had called much earlier and was told I could have pasta; he was indifferent. I walked out. Settled for a breakfast sandwich from another eatery.

Yelp
I stopped by here earlier today by myself for lunch. I happened to by flying on Delta and my terminal was right across from Alta Strata and so I figured I would give it a try. It's a seat yourself place and although there are open tables, as a party of 1, I chose a seat at the bar. This restaurant has a large square bar near the walkway in the terminal with two TVs above the bar. Then behind that they have plenty of table seating with 4 more TVs, all of which had on the cubs game this afternoon. For lunch on this day I decided to go with the turkey and avocado sandwich. Upon ordering I was told that they were out of fries and that they would substitute chips instead. I later heard that they were also out of tagliatelle, sausage, arugula and tomatoes. My sandwich came out relatively quickly and for the price I have to admit that I was a little disappointed in the size of it. Yes it was stacked high with lunch meat turkey but it was on a plain old burger bun. Besides the turkey there was bacon, avocado, lettuce (out of arugula), cheese and a chipotle Mayo. It tasted well enough, although with it being cold, it felt like something I would pack in a lunch to work. The chips themselves were also cold and I assume from a bag as they tasted along the lines of kettle chips. So I don't think any actual cooking was done with my meal which for $16.75 seems like a lot. Of course they do have a captive audience. The bottom line for me is that I probably wouldn't come back here again. My sandwich itself was ok, but they were out of tons of items and my sandwich itself could have been just as easily grabbed from a grab and go spot.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised by this airport bar/restaurant. Wonderful staff and the food was good! Good place to hang by gate 9.

Yelp
Located in Logan airport terminal A. A small place with a few seats. The food is very good. We ordered double smashed burger delux. The burger had good flavor with large amount of meat and cheese! However, there was no veggie (tomato, onion, lettuce) at all! Also, it took a while for the burger to be prepared. Cashier was sort of cold with a poker face. In addition, We asked for takeout box and then were not allowed to sit in the dine-in area which was unpleasant but we understood there might be strict rules.....

Krista R.

Yelp
For airport grub, it doesn't get better than this, folks. Good food, great drinks, fast service, personable staff. Smash burger and salad were too notch. Spicy bloody Marie's did the trick. Wine was fine.

Lina Z.

Yelp
The drink was great! The poor waitress was trying to serve so many people that forgot some of us. But still a great spot to kill time while you wait for the flight.

Mark B.

Yelp
When my flight was delayed by a couple hours, I figured I'd get some lunch at BOS. Of all the restaurants, Alta Strada showed the most promise. I was not disappointed. The juicy smash burger was served hot and delicious. The shoestring fries did not disappoint. I highly recommend Alta Strada!

Chris M.

Yelp
My go to when in Terminal A. I always get the Rigatoni, but have had the Caesar salad, and breakfast too. I LOVE the Rigatoni. Aside from the food, the service is great. I mentioned how it like to eat on the plane (long flight) and that it's a bummer the food is cold when I choose to eat. They doubled up all the insulating material and wrapped it in plastic. Customer service this good feels tragically limited today, but not here. Double threat of great food and awesome service has me here frequently. Should I find myself in Wellesley, at the original location, I won't be able to keep myself from eating!

marcy c.

Yelp
Ate here this past weekend after landing early at Logan. Although table service was initially slow, we had EXCEPTIONAL service from the manager / supervisor who went above and beyond to make up for our wait and ensure we had a very positive experience. That really made a huge difference for us- customer service is so important, and clearly this was a priority for him which we very much appreciated. The food was great, as always. Had the fettucine alfredo and sausage pasta, both delicious. We will absolutely eat here again, especially if the manager / supervisor is there!

Jonathan A.

Yelp
I'm usually pretty skeptical of the food at airport restaurants but Alta Strada impressed me today. I ordered a double smash burger with aioli and fries and it was about $20. Not cheap, but not terrible for airport prices either. The burger was perfectly cooked and tasty and the fries were fresh out of the fryer and with just the right amount of salt. I ordered it to go so I could eat at my gate and it was ready in about 15 minutes. The chocolate muffin was good too, they looked freshly made that day. The eat in area was packed so it must be fairly popular.

Preeti M.

Yelp
Very good airport restaurant. Always have tables/bar seating available and the service is friendly and efficient. This is all you can ask for at an airport restaurant. The pizzas are surprisingly decent!

Brian F.

Yelp
This was a poor experience from the start. The restaurant was dirty, the server was new and not well trained. They were out of 4-5 menu items on a fairly small menu. We ordered the mushroom pasta...Luke warm, gummy, little bits of mushroom with excessive amount of truffle oil for 25 dollars! I know airport food service is a premium price point but the company should be embarrassed by this performance.

Clare C.

Yelp
Came here for dinner in the airport. The food came out very quickly. The sandwich was good but very average. I was really in the mood for fries so I went here. The meal was filling and it was ~$13. A easy place to stop before your flight. Nothing very special.

Jay M.

Yelp
Had a burger with fries ... 19.50 ... steep airport prices Pints on tap 11 bucks a beer... 52 buck lunch with tip... Ouch! Wendy's was prior tenant in that spot... 19.50 for burger a bit much and was just ok...

Laura W.

Yelp
We were excited to eat here at the Foxwoods Casino location. We were hoping to order their Tagallini Bolognese. The waitress kindly stated they no longer had that on their menu due to menu changes that happen periodically. It was disappointing and mostly annoying since the online menu showed they still served this meal at this location. I ended up making up my own dish that was similar but it def cost way too much for the contents of the meal. Sauce, rigatoni and some cut up sausage for $32 ??? The atmosphere was not enjoyable and awkward, we were the only customers there 8pm on a Friday....Our drinks just a typical martini was $18 Which was much more than several other similar nice restaurants we ate and drank at, not worth the money although my meal was tasty but still not worth the money.

Stephanie L.

Yelp
I've never been excited to spend "airport" prices on food but this place was WORTH EVERY CENT. Our server, Al, was so incredibly kind and a joy to talk to. The food was actually AMAZING (fresh made pasta! Best caprese sandwiches!) And incredibly prompt. If you need some respite before a flight, this is the place to be.

Brita L.

Yelp
my standards for airport dining are pretty damn low, and this place managed to lower them. at 2pm, they are out of half the menu. shittiest margarita i've ever had was $17, food looks like shit (i only had the garlic bread, fine for this place, but would never order that if i were out). it's no surprise for airport food to be overpriced, but the service was particularly terrible. i asked to move from the bar to a table and was told i could, then scolded for it, despite having been given the ok and sitting in an empty section, at 2pm in the afternoon, after already checking out. then, another server (who i never spoke with) glared at me the whole time. i would have ordered more of a waiter had come to ask, but i was given stink eye the whole time. i cashed out at the bar, and was happy to pay for more drinks & table service, but i was ignored, and they lost out on more orders & tips. avoid this place at the boston airport. every place to eat is overpriced, but hopefully somewhere else wouldn't be this terrible an experience.

Vaishu M.

Yelp
Food here was ok, but you can't expect much from airport food. My turkey sandwich was very dry and the avocado mash on it was clearly premade and came out of a container. The bread wasn't anything special. The fries were pretty decent, but they had way too much salt on them..

Meghan B.

Yelp
A charcoal pizza with mozzarella on the side, yum! Good ingredients, but overcooked pizza ruining it all.

Miguel V.

Yelp
Thank you Katherine for the awesome service, Definitely I have to come back Lovely experience and nice food

Michael P.

Yelp
Asked the server at the bar section a simple question about taking food to-go being my first time going to this food place and she responded saying "what do you think it's a restaurant"... Unbelievable disappointment terrible customer service. Just pure rudeness. Other than that the food wasn't that bad once you get past the terrible customer service. DONT ASK PEOPLE AT BAR SECTIONS ANY QUESTIONS INCREDIBLY RUDE!!

Jonathan B.

Yelp
I came for breakfast. The menu is very limited so I got the breakfast sandwich and hash browns. The eggs were freshly cooked but the hash brown and bacon were microwaved. Hash brown was cold and chewy. Coffee was good and hot. The service fast and efficient. The two stars is for a 20 breakfast sandwich and coffee if this was 10 maybe it gets 3-3.5 stars. If you are going to sit for breakfast in Terminal A go Legals it's a much better option for the money

Marie D.

Yelp
Al is the best server at this airport, what a great experience! The kitchen also made me a special pink sauce spaghetti and it was fabulous. Def recommend for a quick stop. Food and service was quick and fast

Elise W.

Yelp
This place was absolute ass. I have never in my life experienced such carelessness in a customer service setting. The service was terrible. There was really only one lady waiting tables and even SHE was bad at her job. She never visited tables frequently during their meals to check on them. The food I ordered was brought out to me about 25 minutes after it was finished being prepared. I watched my pasta sit on the counter for 25 minutes before a waiter brought it to my table. Needless to say, the pasta was cold. I also ordered French fries, got chips instead. I ordered a pepperoni pizza and it was burnt. I asked for salt and pepper to be brought to my table and never received it. Not to mention, when I sat down, all the tables were dirty. Please do not come here.

Grace B.

Yelp
My family and I stopped for a nice bit to eat before heading home earlier this evening. This place never disappoints!! I ordered a pizza and asked for it to be well done because I like my crust crispy. They got it right on the money! My husband opted for a sandwich and the baby arugula salad, and it was so good I had to sneak a few bites. My daughter is also a picky eater, so we ordered her the ceaser salad, and she loved it. Everything came out delicious and actually ready to table in no time. We apriciated the nice young lady who was our waitress getting our order in and out with ease. This is always our go-to spot when visiting Boston Logan Airport.

Audry H.

Yelp
Literally the worst breakfast I've had in my life. Avocado toast was extremely bland and definitely just bread instead of toasted. Coffee also not great. The only good thing were the potatoes. I'd rather just had a plate full of those.

Haley W.

Yelp
Stopped in today as I was waiting for my flight in terminal A. Extremely, extremely nice waitress who gave great service as I sat at the bar. Got the turkey sandwich and it was pretty mid, but did the job for airport food. A little pricey for what it was... ended up being $20+ for just a sandwich and a soda, so with a good tip it was up to $25. Not unhappy, but just a very average experience - hence the 3 stars.

Kai H.

Yelp
Bar seats cleared, wife and I were able to take those two seats and plates needed to be cleared and counter wiped. No big deal. Bartender clears counter, but doesn't wipe down counter. We asked if she could wipe down the counter and says, "I guess". Really? I guess, I'll be able to go elsewhere even if I'm in the airport. DONT GO HERE, RUDE SERVICE.

Anne N.

Yelp
This was a fantastic meal while being severely delayed ( 24 hrs) at the Boston airport. Our server, Elijah, was friendly, helpful and offered a smile when we needed it! Thanks Elijah!

Katie F.

Yelp
Good pizza, nice spot to sit at the bar and people watch or chat with the bartender. Quick service and freshly prepared.

Alisa R.

Yelp
Service was awesome my waiter Al was delightful!! Would come again for sure. The food was OK, but the service was exceptional

Corey W.

Yelp
Pizzas and Pastas, I went with the garlic bread. It was late arriving, but the manager didn't charge me for it, due to that. As all great businesses should be. Only doing 4 stars because we can't do half on Yelp and I wanted some other menu choices. Great bartenders and staff.

Anne N.

Yelp
Food was quick and surprisingly good. Elijah was an excellent server. thanks for making a long layover better.

Luisa F. V.

Yelp
I really enjoy the food and the service was super great. thank you for your suggestion Katherine

Rachelle W.

Yelp
Had the Alta Strada burger, was very good especially for airport food. Service was good, although did take a minute to get a waitress, once I did service was great and food came out both fast and good. A little pricey but it is at an airport and it is in Boston both of which contribute to the price.

J. A.

Yelp
Very nice Italian eatery in Terminal A with great options for a variety of tastes - we were a 3 generation family dining together. I had the alfredo pasta which was very nice, creamy, and cheesy. Would definitely order it again. The kids wolfed down pizza and fries. Grandparents ordered burgers that were too big and couldn't finish What really set Alta Strada apart was the staff, both servers and management, who went out of their to accommodate all of our requests. Very sweet team with the old school attitude of service with a smile.
