Drove an hour to try these mousse fruits after seeing them on an influencer’s IG/YouTube. WORTH THE EFFORT. this is a wonderful Armenian Bakery and food shop. We got a couple Italian sandwiches and a beef shish. All were delectable. It’s not a big ambiance spot and that’s fine bc the foods are terrific. Sidewalk seating is plentiful. Easy street parking at night.

Good pizza and kabobs, the baked goods are nice and very photogenic. But the person at the pay counter was terrible at taking orders and when I got home I found she did not even give me the correct desert in the box which honestly was upsetting. I've eaten there before so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt but giving me the wrong item is really really bad. But apparently you can get a labubu cake there now or something.

The photos do not do these desserts justice! I hope they give enough visual for this review. We loved all the chocolate goodies! I will say the raspberry one is for acquired taste it has a lot of seeds, and the chocolate was a little overwhelming. The apple one was alright(I didn't enjoy it too much) it was frozen in the middle where the fruit center was and had too much white chocolate! The hazelnut one was a top star! It had the perfect balance of center and chocolate! It was nutty and creamy, and the flavors blended together really well! The enclair was also perfectly balanced! We weren't able to fully experience the Croissant!

Frankly, the customer service was very disappointing EXCEPT FOR ONE; there was one employee who was nice and extremely helpful. I went there with my family and we got treated poorly. It was giving racist, but the pastries are good. I enjoyed my apple but I ain’t making a beeline to go there if that is how they treat Black people.

Delicious food and super helpful staff. Get the fruit mousse. You won’t be disappointed. A little co fusing at first since it shares space with the pizza place, but you’ll figure it out.

YOU MUST TRY THIS PLACE!! So, I've been kind of a stalker when it comes to reviews of this bakery. Couldn't wait to come to Glendale and try it. Dreams came true this weekend cuz ya girl was able to go. It did not disappoint! Everything we had was so fresh and honestly not as sweet as we thought they would be. Slightly sweet is how I'd describe the pastries, and they were PERFECT 🤌🏽 . Put this place on your map to try, add the stop. They have food options as well that I'll try next time but everything looked delicious!

I usually come here to purchase desserts and their ready made cakes. Those never disappoint but I have to say my custom order was less than great. The size was great! But the frosting was SOOOOO stiff and not nearly enough sugar. It tastes like hard butter. The sponge cake was so dry it was crumbly as well. When we cut the cake, it would fall apart. The frosting work was perfect! The writing though was not done properly in my opinion. The photo with the nice cursive writing is the inspo, the photo with the red and black dice is what I received (we added the dice ourselves). As I said I LOVE their signature items but I don’t know if I would order a custom cake again unless the outcome is better.

We drove all the way from Portland to LA just to try this viral fruit shaped desserts. The service was great, and the patisserie was delicious. The mango and raspberry were my favorites.

Best ajarski of my LIFE! Hands down. Look, if you were a kid in the 90s, yearning for the Pizza Hut stuffed cheese crust to be the dream scenario that their commercials presented, well look no further...you have found Nirvana, right here in Burbank with these ajarski. You can even get them with pepperoni An indulgent amount of the softest, creamiest, wonderfully stretchy cheese, filled straight into the folded edges of some of the most delightfully thin, soft, chewy, fresh crust this side of the 134...I can think of no other word than Heaven. Sheer heaven. They offer different topping options, and are famous for their pastrami, which I ordered and would order again! Eggs cooked to your specifications. I choose over medium and they came out more easy, but I was glad for that. It was just perfect for dipping. My partner ordered the Dav's Suprami Sandwich, which is the pastrami with extra stuff, ordered without peppers or tomatoes, but they did still put tomatoes in. We did not ask them to correct it because they were mostly easy to remove. Next time, we'd order the regular pastrami sandwich and just add mushrooms to it to avoid that. We lucked out and got to try their seasoned fries, which apparently they do not often have in stock. The standard fried are unseasoned. I hope they are able to get the seasoned ones in stock more regularly tho because they were awesome! We almost always add salt to our fries, but these didn't need it. We ate at the tables outside on Glenoaks Blvd, which was not too traffic-y. The building provided us with some nice shade from the hothothot afternoon sun. There are also a few small tables inside. You can take your order to go, but we wanted it fresh out of the oven! Everything arrived so hot and fresh that we could have made the drive home and still enjoyed melty cheese. I bet the pizzas are out of this world with that same delightful crust as the ajarski, and we can't wait to try them. Everyone here was so nice, helpful. The pizza guy talked to us for a long time about the food and suggested other specialties to try for next time. You order & pay with the bakery side cashier and then pick up (or have your food brought to you) by the other side. We will definitely be back here, probably often! These people clearly care about their food and their customers. Wonderful experience!

The special chicken sandwich is very delicious. David, he runs the kitchen there. Very helpful and talented young man. Keep up the great work! Absolutely recommend this place!

This place has the best pizza!!!! The bread is just amazing. But today i had the BLT sandwich with their bread and it was the best BLT ever!!! If you're looking for something thats different from the repetitive LA foods list, this place stands out. You won't be disappointed. I appreciate family owned restaurants like this that truly have a connection with their customers. I wish them the best!!! I spend my days going from one restaurant to another in my line of work as a vendor all throughout LA. But when it's time for me to have a bite, I come here. It has the classic family ambiance here, in my favorite part of town. this place stands out. And the food is delicious!!!

This is my go to bakery for birthday cakes. Their cakes are always fresh and tasty. They have variety selection of the pastries, sandwiches and pizza. Their prices are average and compatible with the similar bakeries. Customer service is not five star, but it is way better than the similar bakeries. Whenever I go to this place, I am greeted and asked what I need. I am out fast don't have to wait for a long time to order. P.S they recently started charging 3% for credit card. I would recommend having cash handy, if don't want to pay extra fees. Overall, I would recommend this bakery.

Every single thing I ordered was delicious. Half the store is dedicated to pastries/ cakes, the other side is sandwiches , pizza& salads. The place is spotless. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Food was fresh and piping hot. For starters, the pastries all looked amazing. We ordered the strawberry tart, which was one of the best we've had. The artisan bread with the sandwich was cooked in the oven and had that delicious crunchy crust with melted cheese. The pizza was made in front of us and came out quick. There were a few tables on the inside as well as the outside. Street parking in the front and a little dedicated lot in the back. This was my first time and I'm definitely planning a n coming back for breakfast. I Heard the breakfast sandwiches are amazing and a customer favorite.

Didn't get a pic of the pizza but it was really yummy. The desserts were super tasty also and I loved the bread that they bake there. Everyone was also super nice and welcomed us in even though it was 30 Minutes to closing. Really cool neighborhood / family vibe in there to pass through. Recommend 10 outta 10.

Mouth watering freshly made pizzas and hot savory sandwiches, so much variety of desserts (pastries and cakes) plus the friendly staff. The shop is very clean and organized, it's compact with four tables inside and a few outside.

Chicken Breast Kabob Sandwich: 9.4 of 10 --one of the best I've had. Pastrami Sandwich 9.1 of 10 -- one of the best out there. This spot popped up on my IG and I decided to come visit and boy am I happy I did! Some good vibes, as I was greeted by the owner's son David, who welcomed me in like I was family. I could also tell how proud he is of the food that they're making and he transferred that enthusiasm onto me. David said that the chicken breast sandwich is a must try by far, so I went with that. The sandwich ended up being amazing . The bread was fire, felt super fresh and came toasted, being crunchy on the outside and pillowy but light on the inside. The chicken breast kabob was perfectly marinated and very tender, with its juices slightly absorbed into the bread. It was garnished with tomato pieces, fresh lettuce, onions, some Armenian spices and kicked up with their bomb sauce, which was truly the bomb. Altogether this creation dished out a plethora of flavors for my taste buds to be happy. Truly an awesome experience and will definitely come back with my friends. P.S. They also make delicious-looking cakes and pastries and the spot has some inside and outside tables to enjoy the food.

Boyyy have they kicked things up by 10 notches since my last visit!!! I'm still a fan of their hot lunch items and recently discovered their pastrami Georgian Xachapuri that has become my go-to item! Their desserts are now gourmet & I usually get a box when I'm visiting friends or family! I'm so happy to see them thrive.

First off I am blown away by the amount of care that was put into this salad. It is delicious! The croutons were were freshly made, the chicken so flavorful. The amount of care and flavor that is in this salad is unmatched! Now I need to go back and try other things on the menu and their baked goods! Thank you!

You have some inexplicably rude people behind the counter. While on my jog just now (2/25/25, around 5pm) I saw a huge sign on the side of the building that says "BREAKFAST, BREAKFAST, BREAKFAST 8am-11am" and decided to check it out, as I've recently moved to the area and love going to get breakfast with friends. I kindly asked if I could see a breakfast menu, and if there was no menu, I asked what was available for breakfast. (It's important for me to note that I had already looked over the menu that was next to the register while this lady was showing another customer where the restroom was.) The first seemingly kind girl didn't appear to understand what my question was, and passed me off to her clearly impatient co-worker who asked if I want to buy something. I told her "no, i'm just passing by right now but I may want to come another day for breakfast." She handed me a menu that said nothing about breakfast, not acknowledging that I mentioned breakfast. When I reiterated that the gigantic sign that said "BREAKFAST BREAKFAST BREAKFAST" is the reason I came in asking about what is served for breakfast, at the times when breakfast IS served she said "we serve sandwiches, pizza and pastries." Clearly there is miscommunication happening, so I emphasized that I just wanted to know more about what was served for breakfast to which she replied "breakfast is served 8am-11am". It was like talking to a robot on the phone that does not understand more than 3 inputs, and I intend no disrespect to either of these women when I say that. I'm just being honest. I once again said, "I'm not eating today but I may want to come another day soon" to which she responded to by swiftly and aggressively referring to the menu she had just handed me, saying "if you want more information, you have this menu" as if she had been explaining something to me, in excruciating detail, for hours. Essentially interrupting me before I could really finish what I was even saying. I left immediately, because obviously clear communication is not included in the atmosphere of this otherwise charming looking bakery. It seems like there is only a breakfast pizza and a breakfast sandwich available, which doesn't strike me as complicated information to communicate. Especially not so complicated so as to not be able to maintain your composure and not interrupt someone who's genuinely curious and excited to try a new place.

Underrated!! I cannot say enough amazing things about this hidden gem in Burbank! It's family-owned and you can feel that family presence immediately. The bread and dough is made in-house every morning. Once you've tried the chicken sandwich dripping with that homemade bomb sauce... you will already be planning your return. Everything on that menu is insane. For pizza, try either the Armenian or the signature! David is the heart and soul of Alta Dena. He flips that pizza dough and throws downn in the kitchen Iike no other and is simply the kindest person I've come across in a while. Don't forget to try their beautiful selection of homemade desserts. It's basically edible art that's actually delicious! You're welcome in advance :)

Alta Dena Express Bakery makes great sandwiches, pizzas, and baked goods. A friend and I went for their sub sandwiches--excellent. I had the Italian. My friend had the roast beef. Both came with lots of ingredients in a crunchy, chewy, homemade roll. I had to finish with a Napoleon for dessert. We will definitely return.

Try this place for Pizza because it has great reviews. Got three different pizzas. There is like no sauce on the pizza at all. Really disappointed. No comment on customer service. It was very transactional.

They have amazing pizzas, I get their veggie. They also do great chicken sandwiches and their pastries are wonderful. Nice people working there and prices are very reasonable. Only negative is they charge a credit card fee.

The best fruit tarts! So pretty and delicious. Bakery is in Burbank with plenty of parking. So many pastries available. Highly recommend this place to anyone.

Man, this is crazy how good this place is and why it took me so long to find out!!! The bakery is awesome, and the pizza parlor rocks!! Tavo handles the parlor, and the man knows how to handle the dough!! I ordered the Ajarski Kxachapuri Pizza with Pepperoni and jalapeños. The kiddos ordered the large pizza with pepperoni, sausage, and ham. We decided to dine in so we could taste right out of the oven our food the crust of the pizza was everything you want, crisp outside soft in the inside, the cheese melted, and stringy even though you know it's fresh out of the oven you have to dive in and burn your mouth with goodness!! The Ajarski, oh wow, I had never had one, and like Tavo told me, this would be the "Best" you would ever have!! I must say this was a Flavor Bomb the egg, pepperoni, and cheese were so good that I must be back to have another one!! After we ate we went to the bakery side and bought 2 slices of chocolate cake and mousse on chocolate which the kiddos and I really liked. All together, lunch and a dessert, one place, divided into 2 parts that Rock!! What a true gem! Ani and Taline's incredible customer service skills truly set this place apart. They are so sweet and kind, making you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. As for the food--wow! The mortadella sandwich is an absolute standout. It's everything you want in a sandwich: no over-the-top, unexpected flavors--just simple, delicious perfection. The bread is light, airy, and perfectly baked, complementing the fillings beautifully. Every bite is satisfying and packed with flavor. Honestly, their sandwiches are a 10 out of 10. Their new croissant sandwiches are so delicious! I had the one with Turkey, cheese and delicious toppings. It's a must try! I am glad they came out with these new sandwiches.

Have been driving by here & wanting to check it out!! Finally did it today!! Oh wow. I passed one person walking out she had a box of all sorts of pastries. I said what is good? She showed box & said everything is all good & so fresh. Got chocolate eclair, cream puff & custard flaky cake. Wow so fresh, delicious & tasty. We will be back to try more. What a yummy treat. We didn't have a chance to try pizza or deli but will also try it.

Everything we had here was BOMB. First of all, their pastries and cookies were undeniable. All the cookies we tried were super fresh and delicious, not overly sweet at all and perfect with tea. They also do made-to-order pizzas and sandwiches. Their Mortadella Sandwich was very tasty. Bread crispy, veggies fresh, cheese nice and salty. I can see why lots of locals come here; I'd too!

While you may love them for pastries, cakes or deli style sandwiches, I need to tell you about their salads! Just wow! Stopped by for a chicken salad & received the most delicious salad ever. Freshly grilled chicken over a bed of crisp romaine lettuce, accompanied by some bell pepper, red onion, tomato, olives & feta cheese. Give them a try for whatever your craving may be. Had the chicken sandwich. Incredible!! Bread was hot, flavor of the chicken and toppings was perfect. Not overpowered with sauce like some places. Coming back to try them all. Service was friendly and welcoming.

The food was delicious, we bought a pizza, the chicken salad, and some pastries. Everything was delicious and worth the long drive. The staff is extremely friendly, we will definitely return. The ambiance was also fantastic.

Alta Dena Express Bakery is an Armenian Bakery and Café that serves cakes, desserts, sandwiches, salads and pizzas. I came here with my niece because she was in the mood for some desserts and wanted to bring some home for her brother and sister. I wished we hadn't eaten breakfast prior because I would've loved to try their sandwiches and pizzas. I'm not entirely sure if they still sell sandos because the prices are crossed off the menu list. I will come back not just for the delicious sweets and spinach Borek but, for the pizza, salads and sandwiches. Update... They seem to use Postmates for orders and according to them they still sell sandos!

Fireeeee best pizza around. When you go get the regular pepperoni. You won't regret it!

I found Alta Dena Express Bakery online when looking for a place to eat near me with high customer reviews. This was the first place to pop up. I immediately received attentive, warm and friendly service which is so important to me when eating out. The pizza was ready-to-order in a few minutes and the crust was delightful, crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. I paid less than $11 for a pizza big enough to feed three people. David runs the place and is exceptional with customer service and food taste and quality. He let me try their marinated chicken sandwich and it was superb as well. I am hooked and will be back. I went home with three different pastries from the bake shop too!

Caught up with a friend and split two sandwiches - the Italian and the Beef Shish. Both delicious. The bread, as you might expect from surveying the array of beautiful pastries, was excellent. Service was warm and fun and kind. Will be back.

I was craving a sandwich for lunch today and wanted to try something new in the area, so I decided to come by here for the first time. I ordered Dav's Suprami (pastrami) sandwich and omggg it was ridiculously good! I can even say that it's one of the best pastrami sandwiches I've ever had. The pastrami was thin-cut, which is how I like it, and it paired so well with all of the toppings and sauce in the sandwich. The bread was also really good; it was perfectly toasted and had a nice crisp to it. I was surprised that it came in such a huge portion..but even more surprised that I finished the whole thing all in one sitting lol! It was that good. Overall, I'd really recommend this place for their sandwiches. I saw that they also offer a variety of desserts, pastries, drinks, pizzas, and salads, so I definitely would like to come back to try them. Parking is also super easy around the area!

Went today with a bunch of my coworkers to grab a bite to eat, not a lot of good options in the area. But after eating at Alta Dena, it hands down amazing. Amazing selection in pastries of every kind, food is a a little pricier but you're getting the quality that's attached to it when usually some the quality isn't. I'll be coming in a lot more often and personally had a Philly cheesesteak with beef which was delicious. The bread was amazing, baked fresh and def taste it! Amazing staff and def recommend to whoever wants a nice bite

Update** The following orders were very delicious. Regular ajarski, ajarski w/ pepperoni, nutella dessert pizza, and chocolate-covered dates with peanuts. Not pictured is a shish kabob sandwich---which my son devoured before I even got a chance to take a photo. We will definitely be back! Shout out to Baker David--bomb sauce was good too!

Best bakery, pizzas, and sandwiches in town! They have the best choices of pastry varieties for all types of events. The cherry on top is their wonderful service. Thank you, David, for treating everyone like family! Can't wait to be back!

Burbank's hidden gem!!! This place is absolutely delicious a MUST TRY. I happen to be driving by and decided to drop in. Immediately, you're hit with an aroma of deliciousness! I went to the Cafe side and ordered a luleh kabob sandwich and the guy making it was so very excited that I ordered it. Apparently, it's a new item. He was so very kind and really sold this sandwich.... he was not wrong. The bread is divine! It's a long French roll, sturdy but soft in the middle. The kabob itself was juicy, flavorful, tender. The sandwich was perfect and I'd order it again. Since I was already there, I just had to try the pastries. On the other side, they have a variety of pastries to choose from and each one looks delicious. I picked up a creme Brule, cream puff and chocolate raspberry cake. Each one was decedent! Do not pass on this place. Customer service is fantastic and the food is on point!

Pizza was okay, but the bakery section is really good, great selection of quality breads and pastries, professional service.

Bakery is fire that ajarski egg bread is so good i highly recommend it. David the ARMENIAN stallion as they call him on Instagram is super friendly and energetic. They have very good customer service. Will for sure head back to try their pastries. It's a very clean bakery and they have a fire pit for the restaurant side.
