Google
Great neighborhood spot with spirits, specialty foods and much more. Best selection of craft beers in the area. The staff is always so kind and helpful with recommendations. Love that they bring in vendors for tastings.

My go-to for wine in Pasadena. I have been missing this place a lot and hope they are able to reopen as they were affected by the Eaton Fire.

Google
Great place to find some amazing drinks and other goodies. Definitely worth a visit.

Google
I believe this place is an absolute must visit! Every time I come in here. The service is great and the selection of beer, wine, mixed drinks, na options and different foods are absolutely fantastic! People working here are very knowledgeable about everything in the store and can provide great recommendations for any meal that you're planning for. Any type of event. Stop in!!

Google
Boutique-style, like a little French market. Fresh sandwiches, cheeses, cold drinks and cut flowers. Super friendly neighborhood feel, approachable staff. Tastings and interesting popups (like coffee) on offer some weekends to try before you buy. The selection is dense and Tastefully curated. Come here to put together the perfect gift basket for a wine and cocktail-loving foodie.

Google
If Erewhon was a bodega. I enjoy picking up bread here from time to time. Sadly, I never felt welcomed and the couple of times I asked for help navigating their huge selection of beverages the assistance wasn’t very enthusiastic or useful. I guess I expect better service from a small, high end business. Regardless my Zestimate is happy that this place is surviving.

Google
An excellent addition to the neighborhood and a great anchor for the north Allen corridor. The pop-up events are well curated to have something for everyone and the owners seem to be working hard to make it a community store. If you haven’t been today is a good time to take your first trip.

There are so many great things to say about Altadena Beverage and Market! The store is adorable, staff friendly and knowledgeable. Great selection of alcohol in a small footprint. We enjoy the tastings and discovering new finds. Also our go to for picking up appetizers, bread, sandwiches, and flowers. Cute Altadena merchandise too!

Yelp
Thankfully they are Open again following the fire. A wonderful location to pick up various beverages and the occasional cookie, ice cream or in my case Rancho Beans!! Love that they are here again and providing such excellent advice on choices available!

Yelp
Obsessed with this place. Literally the best beverage selection ever among other cute market things. The people were so nice and helpful and they had Everywhere Brewing sharing samples inside, which I wasn't familiar with before, so I'm glad I learned of a new brewery in the SoCal area. They also had yellow paper burger popping up out front so they were super busy. 10/10 market and beverage spot. will definitely be back.

Yelp
Fantastic assortment of fancy and amazing items. I will definitely be back. A great place to buy gifts.

Yelp
Wonderful addition to the neighborhood. Of course the prices are high but that is expected since this shop is small with quality specialty items. I expect to pay for the quality and convenience. I was surprised by the reviews commenting on poor service because I've been over a dozen times and always found it to be friendly. I especially love the natural wines- fun and great selection. I also love that you can find a quick gift there for anyone including specialty foods, apparel, alcohol, or flowers. They often have tastings which I haven't participated but are a nice touch. The hours are great too- open from 9-8 every day I believe which is surprising for a specialty store.

Yelp
A cute place to stop in and pick up some overpriced chilled bottles of wine if you're headed somewhere in the Altadena area. The customer service is severely lacking, and I was warned by the other reviews beforehand. It was actually laughable. 3 people working at the front counter all on their Instagram and gossiping with each other -- ignoring the only customer in the shop. I literally stood at the counter with my wine bottles for a good minute before one of them bothered to acknowledge me and start ringing me up. Welcome to SoCal!!

Yelp
Love this market. Love it. This place got seriously amazing back in January 2022 when new owners took over and since then, I've been coming a few times a week if not a few times per DAY. Picture the hard-to-find type products you've grown to love from farmers markets and artisanal grocery venues, all stacked nicely in a little neighborhood brick and mortar. The offerings are constantly changing, with intriguing new adds popping up all the time. It's a small shop, and they maximize the space by keeping it fresh with new products while also being slick enough to keep a home for their high-demand staples. I've found some serious gems here. Yuzu miso paste, small-batch flour tortillas from Kansas made with avocado oil, these little chocolate-peanut butter candies by Tom Bumble that are like Butterfingers but better and with no dairy. My list goes on but ain't nobody got time to read "Justin's top 100 Altadena Bev Finds." Fresh bread daily, snacks, beautiful local flowers, ice cream and sorbets, condiments galore, pizzas, salad dressings, pastas, cooking must-haves, candy, and so much more. And of COURSE, we can't forget about the booze! Wine, and beer, and spirits, oh my. And mixers to cover your mixology from A to Z. Again, this isn't a massive store, so they are surgical with what they offer on their coveted shelf space. You can tell every selection throughout the store has a lot of thought behind it. They bring in their alcohol and food vendors regularly for free tastings which is a bonus. I've sampled (and usually then purchased) so many products I don't think I would have otherwise ever picked up. Plus, there are frequent food pop-ups ranging from pizza, burgers, vegan Israeli food, perogies, bakeries, and beyond. My tip is to go follow them on IG so you can catch the weekend lineup. Anyway, you get it. A semi-bougie market with small-neighborhood charm. The staff are topnotch and always down to help you find a good wine or recommend anything else for your kitchen. I've yet to meet an employee who wasn't genuinely friendly and knowledgeable of what they have in the store. Great place to grab small gifts, too. It's my favorite market, check it out. According to my bank app, we've been here over 125 times since it opened up in 2022. That's.... a lot. Maybe too much, I don't know. But totally worth it. Cheers.

Yelp
Charming bodega with lots of interesting sundries. If you're lucky, you'll wander in during a label tasting. Service is a crap shoot: I've been given lots of enthusiastic guidance and also had clerks who seemed completely over it.

Stephanie L.

Yelp
Your neighborhood market with all the fancier special local food items you don't really want to trek all over town for. Sno con amor, bub and grandma's, won kitchen to just name a few

Yelp
Cute store with a unique selection of a variety of spirits, but I found it SEVERELY overpriced on more commonly found products.... which only made me mistrust the prices on the less common items. I understand that smaller neighborhood shops need to charge a few dollars more because they don't sell quantity, and I truly support the smaller business in our area, but price gouging is not the way to win hearts. Their bread I bought was not that great and like others, I wasn't impressed with the service. I did hear that they offer very pleasant wine/ spirit tastings though, and that may be a better route for their success.

Yelp
Favorite local spot for gifts, food, flowers. It's well curated and staff is super friendly.

Roger A.

Yelp
They offer a nice selection of pantry items, home goods, beverages, and flowers. I hoped for a more pleasant shopping experience so much that I returned for a second trip with my partner, who confirmed that the service and friendliness doesn't match the quality of the goods they sell. Service was not unfriendly but adequate- perfectly tolerable but thankfully there are other options close to me with comparable goods that I'd rather direct my patronage.

Tracy T.

Yelp
This place is way overpriced! And the service is not that friendly. I would rather give my business to another neighborhood market.

Mike C.

Yelp
Great selection of beer and local food! They also do tastings/pop-ups/other fun events

Dina G.

Yelp
Amazing wine selection and very knowledgeable folks! Would highly recommend giving this place a try when you need a treat.

Bim V.

Yelp
Quaint, nice, clean, with great service. Interesting foods and wines to select from. Got the Peter Luger bacon which went well with my Filipino monggo dish . Would definitely come back here again for some bubs and grandmas bagels bright and early.

Petey P C.

Yelp
Totally agree with the others about how pricey it is and the staff a lil ....something to say the least but man best spot for the best craft beers so u know what I'll say hello pick my brews and roll with it

Mark N.

Yelp
Nice people but limited selection and severely more expensive. It is a why pay less kind of place. Mind you I do not mind supporting local and paying for it. This is just expensive with little upside other than charity

katie l.

Yelp
Always fun to pop into this shop! Altadena beverage has become my go to for drinks, nibbles and fun specialty items. The sandwiches are delicious too!
