Altamura Trattoria

Visited this restaurant over the weekend. It was a very nice place, great bar and beautiful setting. Food is gourmet Italian, no lasagna or chicken parm, or regular pasta dishes. We started with a gourmet pizza which was delicious and the two pasta dishes that were also great. Nice wines and cold beer. I can't give 5 starts for a couple of reasons. Our service was not great, our food took a very long time to arrive and our waitress and busser were a little slow. We had to ask for water a couple of times. The portions could be a little better, considering the price. It was also just a bit loud but not terrible.

I had the pleasure of dining at this new Italian restaurant in Midtown Doral during their soft opening weekend, and I must say it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The attention to detail in every aspect was remarkable — from the warm welcome at the door to the attentive and knowledgeable service throughout the evening. The food was simply exceptional. Each dish showcased authentic Italian flavors with a refined, contemporary touch. The ingredients were clearly fresh and high-quality, and every plate was beautifully presented. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the sauces were rich and balanced, and the desserts were the perfect ending to an exquisite meal. The atmosphere was elegant yet inviting — a perfect blend of sophistication and comfort. The décor, lighting, and music created a relaxed and enjoyable ambiance that made the entire dining experience memorable. A heartfelt thank you to the talented chefs for their creativity and passion, and to Yari, the Director of Operations, for ensuring that every detail ran seamlessly. The professionalism of the staff, the excellence of the cuisine, and the inviting atmosphere all reflect the dedication and vision behind this restaurant. Overall, it was a truly delightful evening, and I’m confident this restaurant will quickly become one of Midtown Doral’s top dining destinations. Highly recommended!

Amazing food, drinks, and service! The atmosphere was incredible - you’d never think the restaurant is below a condo building. I had a delicious lychee martini and a great beer recommended by the staff. We ordered the pasta, pizza, and finished with tiramisu -everything was outstanding. The service was excellent, and I can’t wait to come back again soon!

Absolutely wonderful place to visit! The atmosphere is cool and so is the staff. They dress smartly and really understand the meaning of hospitality. They're attentive without being overbearing. They know the menu and make Great recommendations for the menu and it's accompanying wine. The food!!! OMG!!! Everything made fresh, from pizza to pasta to fish and meats. And the wines and desserts too! Treat yourself and a special someone to an amazing experience - direct from Italy. I had a margherita pizza and chianti tonight with a taste of the first vegan pizza I've ever eaten. All of it so delicious 🤤 Update 2025-12-23 I have been back every single week because the food here is so amazing, the staff really defines the term hospitality, and they simply make you feel so special. I don't even know how to describe how good the food, the wine, the drinks, the staff, and the management truly are. If you live nearby, or work nearby, or even want to make a trip for some absolutely fantasticcfood and an amazing experience, you have to come here!

How do I describe and make someone feel "perfection"? Unless you're seated at one of the tables here, you won't experience the magic, a union of art, passion, dedication, and unwavering love for creating delicacies that makes you to think into ordering another portion, please! We were told this was something special, but we couldn't imagine we would have such a great dinner experience. Here is an exposition of Italian grandma's great recipes, presented by their grandchildren, organized and served by Italians as well. In this venue, there're no details overlooked,  from the beautiful china plates, tables, chairs, decor, all, like an art gallery.  Let's not forget the  attention provided by the staff.  They make sure that you are good taken care of. We had the honor to be served by Claudia, a very dedicated young lady who helped make our dinner experience an unforgettable one. All in all, we are now so lucky to have found them and I hope others as well can discover this hidden treasure here in Doral, Florida.

Great New Little Italy in DORAL. Finally true authentic Italian pasta and pizza place with old school recipes very worming ambience and true Italian hospitality husband and wife owners / chef’s personality come to each table you can feel that they do really care about every guest!!! Pizza Neapolitan style 10/10 , great tapas eggplant and zucchini light sweet and sour great for hot summer day with glass of prosecco or Aperol sprits ,,, spinach ravioli was very light delicate Branzino with tomato fennel olives and pine nuts to die for…!!! Tiramisu hazelnut wow just wow bravo !!! Yari made a night extra special. Grazie we will be back for more!!!

I visited this beautiful place last night. I left extremely satisfied: courtesy and elegance were the first things I noticed, but the food.. THE FOOD!! I felt like I was back home in italy: lightly breaded calamari that actually tasted like squid and not just breading, gorgonzola-pear gnocchi, and a long list of finely balanced dishes, each one bringing exquisite flavors that complemented each other masterfully. The Chefs are from Italy and you can definitely tell. They gained a regular customer.

I've worked in the restaurant business for many years, and honestly, I've seen few restaurants here in Miami that are so beautifully presented, from food to wine, with such attention to detail. Owner Massimo and his wife Elisabetta have created a jewel of Italian cuisine here in Miami. A magical restaurant full of flavors and traditions with a touch of innovation. CONGRATULATIONS

This new Italian love story created by a husband and wife chef duo is the ultimate fine dining experience! From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with stone and warm candlelight. It has the utmost romantic, elegant aesthetic. There is a bar right in the middle and it is gorgeous. It has amazing backlight and it is just so inviting. I can't wait to go back for some drinks. We made a reservation and were sat promptly with a beautiful wine menu that showcases the regions of Italy where the wine is from. Our waiter came shortly after with the food menu and recommendations. I loved seeing the chef owners present at the restaurant and engaging with the staff. You can see how much of themselves is in here. Our culinary journey began with a complimentary amuse-bouche, a perfect bite with whipped ricotta and artichoke. It was delicious, delicate and a perfect start to the evening. From there, we ordered the bread basket ($8) which was perfectly baked. It brings a variety of breads with olive oil to dip. It is basically 4 pieces per person. The staff is extremely attentive. Throughout our dining experience they were filling our water and wine glasses. They also changed our cutlery accordingly before each course. For entree we got the Spaghetti Chitarra Al Pomodoro E Stracciatella. The pasta is handmade and you can tell by the texture they put love into that pasta. The tomato sauce was immaculate, and the combo with the Stracciatella was *chef's kiss*. Our waiter also went above and beyond helping us split the pasta wince we were sharing which is much appreciated. We also got the La Valdostana Della Zia Lilly ($85). Definitely one of the priciest items on the menu but also the most unique. This is a bone in veal chop that is stuffed with fontina cheese and porchetta, breaded, and deep fried. I felt like it was so worth the price! It comes with extra sea salt on the side which you can sprinkle on. Just cutting into that beauty is a presentation in itself. The veal was cooked to perfection, and the fontina and porchetta provided many layers of flavor. It comes with a side of roasted potatoes which were delish too. Lightly seasoned with rosemary. For dessert I had to go with the Tiramisu Alla Piemontese. And OMG.... I think I'll be coming back for this baby alone. Think Tiramisu meets Ferrero Rocher. Absolute perfection! The coffee taste is very subtle and I feel like its enjoyable for everyone. The hazelnut crumble on top is just amazing. Presentation is 10/10. Comes in a beautiful martini glass. When we got our bill it came with yet another surprise; an "Arrivederci"! Mind you.. I did not want to say goodbye. But the "Arrivederci" was a chocolate truffle with olive oil and sea salt. This one bite wonder had me dancing on the way out. You don't even need a passport to experience authentic Italian love and cuisine. You can have it all right here in Doral!

Every dish was absolutely delicious. Chefs kiss! We saw this restaurant on IG and it truly made an impact. From the great service by Gianni our server, the manager and owner, all greeted us and truly made us feel like family. We were impressed with the gorgeous ambiance of pure elegance and down to earth atmosphere. We will definitely make this place one of our favorites!

The atmosphere at the restaurant is warm, cozy, and inviting--exactly what you'd hope for in a classic Italian spot here at Doral, we sat outside and the breeze was pleasant. The service is attentive without being pushy, and the staff seem to be on top of things, It's the kind of place that makes you want to slow down, pour a glass of wine, and enjoy the meal at a relaxed pace, I ordered my usual Negroni tasted ok but nothing to blow my mind from prior places I have visited before. The risotto tasted freshly made, with sauces that feel balanced rather than overly heavy, and the seasoning is spot on. The appetizers were equally well done--think crispy calamari Overall, it's a place worth returning to, whether for a casual dinner or a special occasion, especially our waitress which I faulted by not asking her name she spoke to us for a while after our meal since we were the last patrons; she is from Mexico and was very knowledgeable of the meals we ate. Will return

Had the most amazing food and experience. A new restaurant which takes food and service to another level. We were excited to come try this place and boy, it exceeded our expectations. Nice fancy warm ambiance. Our waiter was exceptionally attentive. Very knowledgeable of the wines and food. Everyone was paying attention to all the tables. Either pouring more water, picking up the plates, etc. Everything felt organized, clean and trained. They gave us something to try complimentary from the chef. Then we ordered the Chianti red wine which was amazing. The LA VALDOSTANA DELLA ZIA LILLY was out of this world. Perfect fontina cheese inside and delicious potato wedges. Also the Chittara Spaghetti was amazing too. I'll post pictures so you can. It's art. But everything was wonderful. We even saw the owners helping out delivering the boards. Can't wait to come back. Don't forget to try their tiramisu. Crazy good!!!It's definitely fine dining. Definitely 5 stars for us. We will come back to try the pizza and boards.

No se como será la comida pero el SERVICIO ES TERRIBLE. Llegamos al restaurante y desde que nos vieron llegar con nuestro perrito de servicio el cual estaba en un coche y cerrado donde la gente ni percibía era un perro, nos dijeron no había espacio para comer. Ilegalmente ni me preguntaron nunca si era de servicio. Nos sentaron 10 min en la puerta. Llegaron personas en short y zapatillas y los sentaron, y a nosotros que estábamos muy bien vestidos y acorde a un restaurante supuestamente fino, nos informaron que por el perro no podíamos entrar y que si queríamos, nos podíamos sentar en el bar . Esto es ilegal, ni preguntaron si era de servicio y discriminaron !! Como dicen. Del desayuno se ve lo que será el almuerzo . Que pueden esperar de un restaurante al que el cliente no le interesa? No vayan y evítense el mal trato !!

Food is excellent, you can really taste the home made pasta and freshly made sauce with real tomatoes. They are trying to provide an upscale service, but it was kind of slow. Not a deal breaker for me. I'll definitely come back for the food

The food was insanely delicious every bite was full of flavor and perfectly made. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was top-notch. You can really tell they put love and care into everything they do. One of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. I'll definitely be coming back!

Such a beautiful space!! One of my favorite restaurants in Doral. The team is so welcoming and food is incredible. The chefs truly love their craft and it shows in the cuisine. Its a perfect representation of authentic, Italian food.

We visited Altamura and were extremely satisfied!! Everything from the service, food, and ambiance was amazing!!Highly recommended!!!
