"The charming Alte Posthalterei is everything you could want a Bavarian inn to be! Family-owned for 100 years, this is a place where tradition is preserved and links to the region are nurtured. This ethos is also reflected in the menu: smoked trout fillet with horseradish cream and salad and Tafelspitz & Bouillonkartoffeln (boiled meat with potatoes in bouillon) and horseradish feature on the menu, as does half a farmhouse duck with potato dumplings and red cabbage or venison fillet in juniper cream with bacon savoy, black salsify, spaetzle and pears with lingonberry. Some dishes are also available in smaller portions. The food is served at classically and quite elaborately decorated tables set out in a pretty space done out in traditional style. Here you feel right at home, as soon as you walk in. A perfect place away from the big city and large hotel chains. Great food, drinks , prices and Service. Family owned and operated and they are directly involved in all parts of the business. If you are in this greater Munich region, stop in and check it out for your self.

We were here for dinner. I must say, if I were living in the neighborhood, I would come here for every special anniversary or so. The waitress is very friendly, food is excellent. The restaurant has a cozy decoration as well. Sure, the price is bit higher than average, but it's worth it.

The ambiance of this place is just sensational. To make it better the service was fantastic, and the food was just tasteful. For how high class this place looks, it is fairly priced and you get a bang for your buck. If around this area definitely check them out for a delicious dinner.

Let me start by saying that in the 9 days I've spent in Germany, I did not find a bad meal. I probably put on at least 5 pounds during this vacation.|Late Posthalterei was my choice for my last dinner in Deutschland. I ordered the duck which was excellent. It was served with red cabbage and potato dumplings. |It was last meal on death row good.||I had a liter of Paulander beer with dinner and for dessert, applekuchen with vanilla ice cream, which was a great finale for dinner. ||Overall, this place is fantastic and I would recommend it to those that enjoy good food.||One last thing, the ambiance at this restaurant is amazing as well. You're sure to have a good experience.

So nicely decorated rooms and a modern bath. This Hotel is really a find, cozy atmosphere and just 20 minutes to Munich. The brakfast is fantastic, all fresh and homemade products. I never stay in Munich again, only in Zorneding.

A true hidden gem, located approx. 30 min's away from Munich. The ambiance is a genuine German guesthouse. Large rooms/suites with comfortable beds and ample space to sit around. The shower could do with an ugrade, but is always clean. The service is beyond expectations. Will highly recommend to anyone who is willing to let go of the default hotel experience and immerse himself/herself in genuine German hospitality.

Really traditional and friendly guest house with cosy rooms and an awesome restaurant! Rooms are big, cosy and dressed with antiques. Bed was very comfortable. If you stay here you can’t leave without dining in their very authentic restaurant which serves up classic Bavarian fare including seasonal specialities like calf. Breakfast is lovingly prepared with candle lit table setting and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. If you want to shop, there is a Norma supermarket within metres as well as a petrol station. Our only criticism is that we sometimes struggled to find the staff as there is no reception as such. This was a bit confusing, especially on arrival. Highly recommend to anyone who is with car and does not want to stay in the city centre.

Restaurant downstairs is good...but dont stay in the rooms upstairs. Over priced, outdated old smelly furniture, daddy long legs spiders. Church bells keep you awake. And 7am trucks and workers start to work downstairs. Not worth it.

Excellent upscale Bavarian restaurant. I've been there many times for business related dinners and recently also in their outside beer garden for a private trip. Food was awesome. I recommend leaving room for desert, too, it's worth it. They make everything fresh.

This is a Bavarian food restaurant. It is in a historic building and the food is very good. Since I can not speak Germany I will say in English what I had. I had diced pork fillet in a sauce that I have no idea what it was made of. With this was sliced fried potatoes. This came with a mixed greens salad. There is not a lot of restaurants in this small town but recommend it. Prices were fair but they were worth it.
