"If you fancy a bit of history with your dinner, head to Alter Goldener Berg in Lech, a 500-year-old inn, which has been in owner Daniela Pfefferkorn’s family for decades, located in a local historical monument. The restaurant has all the traditional recipes and dishes you would expect in a stuben (tavern), but all the locals cross-country ski their way to the restaurant for the fondue; almost similar to hot pot, the house speciality features local lake fish that guests cook at the table in hot broth. Eine wunderbare Atmosphäre mit sehr nettem Service. Wir hatten das Fleischfondue. Beilagen wurden nachgereicht und es war sehr gut. Die Brühe im Anschluss ist spitze. Als die Saucen weniger wurden, hätte ich mir etwas mehr Aufmerksamkeit beim Service gewünscht, damit diese nach gefüllt werden können. Denn insgesamt ist es schon hochpreisig und damit sollte die zunächst knappe Bereitstellung der Saucen wieder aufgefüllt werden. Wir haben dies dann selber angefragt und den Wunsch wurde natürlich entsprochen.

Positiv hervorzuheben ist das Ambiente. Die Freundlichkeit des Service war in Ordnung. Die Qualität der Speisen war jedoch sehr durchwachsen. Die Ente war sehr gut, was man bei einem Preis von 59,- auch durchaus erwarten kann, bei dem Beilagen ist allerdings noch Luft nach Oben. Ein Wienerschnitzel um 42,- mit absolut geschmacklosen vorgeschälten Industriekartoffeln ist eine wirkliche Frechheit. Auch der Kaiserschmarren schmeckte eher nach einer Backmischung. Preis-Leistung ist hier leider absolut nicht ausgewogen. Derzeit ist dieses Restaurant leider nicht empfehlenswert.

Leider nicht zu empfehlen - Oberlecher Preise ohne die entsprechende Leistung die in den Nachbarrestaurants selbstverständlich ist. Ein Wiener Schnitzel vom Kalb sollte wenn es denn 42 Euro kostet bitte auch in der Pfanne gebacken werden mit einer fluffigen Kruste, hier kommt es steinhart aus der Friteuse. Auch kein Einzelfall da uns das Gleiche schon letztes Jahr im Haupthaus passiert ist. Bedienung sehr gestresst weil unterbesetzt.
