Alter Wirt in Grünwald | Bio-Restaurant & BIO-Hotel

A very good choice with an excellent central location in Grünwald. The staff is exceptionally kind and attentive, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The hotel’s strong organic philosophy is reflected throughout the service. Comfortable rooms, a calm environment make it ideal for both business stays and short getaways.

Misconduct. They cause damage and do not compensate. Florian FOM did not handle their damage correctly. Clean, comfortable hotel. But be very careful with your expensive quality suitcases because the receptionists will ruin them. I don't recommend it!

Incredible German food and all the meat here comes from organic farmers. Great nonalcoholic beer options. Highly recommend.

Stylish, simple, tasteful rooms, amazing breakfast, lovely location, good food and wine menus, friendly and helpful staff.

Nice food, but water (still water) available at the room is not included, even though no prices are available anywhere in the room. So you get the nice surprise once you check out that the regular water you just pay on top. Also, TV on the room does not work - no channels available.

Hotel Alter Wirt has been fantastic. For the second time, we went there for a four day business workshop. The atmosphere in the entire hotel, with the natural wood interior and furniture was so supportive for doing the creative team work. The catering with the organic locally sourced food was just delicious, and the kitchen staff managed to deal with the food intolerances of our crew. The staff genuinely cared about us, helped us out with a smile, over and over again. I have come back already, and will do so again. The nearby forest and river provide the perfect environment for a run...

The Alter Wirt uses organic, mostly local produce, meats and game. Updated, healthy recipes of traditional Bavarian standards, portioned and seasoned just right. At the Wirt you get good value for your money by Grünwald standards. Friendly and efficient service. Not to mention an atmosphere very fitting to Munich's suburbs: you could call it upscale modern-bavarian. Kids who clean their plates get to venture into the kitchen to scoop their own ice-cream for dessert . Plenty of off-street parking. The Wirt is my local go-to restaurant for an evening of casual fine-dining.

Im here visiting Germany for the first time and was so welcomed by the warm and friendly staff here. I'm used to Caribbean and American food, and I don't eat meat so I was a bit worried at first. I was pleasantly surprised by the popcorn soup and the waiter, Meesho (sp?) gave great recommendations for vegetarian food and red wine as I couldn't read the menu. I've eaten here several times, both fir breakfast and dinner and have not been disappointed.
