Altmarkt

Most likely the best Christmas market i have been to. There are a variety of food and beverage stalls and also stalls selling dry goods. I particularly liked the atmosphere and the decoration of each stall especially in the top. We were interested in taking the ferris wheel however there was a queue even when it costs €5

The most beautiful Christmas Market in Germany. A lot of food a drink options, amazing moving decorations and the ferries wheel. The entrance is free. On weekends it is full of people.

Went over Christmas... It was a great theatrical market with plenty of variety to choose from, whether food or crafts and gifts. More kids entertainment would have been great and warm fire pits.

The Old Market Square is one of the best squares in Dresden and seems to be have stalls perennially set up with stalls. At least, it was the whole time I was in Dresden. Fun place for festivities with lots and lots of food, drink and gift stalls, plus a few mini fairground type activities for the little ones. There’s also lots of shops around the square, most hidden by the stalls in the square, but they are there. Also on the square is one of the best known buildings in Dresden, the Church of the Holy Cross.

Very nice Christmas market on a very nice square. There were so many people come to the market, and on the weekend it was packed. Many of food, drinks, crafts stalls to enjoy. Really like the hot dog & mushroom with garlic sauce. Yum! Definitely must visit.

Very nice pleace in christmas time! But you can prepare for a lot of people! You can find there perfect meal, drinks (vine/beer/punch). They have a lot of home made products. Really amazing atmosphere.

Nice square with great Christmas market

I was here with my family at the Christmas market "Striezelmarkt". It is beautiful place in this time. There are lot of stalls with different sausages (Bratwurst...ect.), muled wine and Christmas punch and other goodies. There are ferris whell too. This place is definitely worth a visit. If you are by car, parking can be tricky. There are underground parkinglosts right next to the Altmark and in Altmarkgalery, but they are usually full. I rocommend parking further from the center and taking the tram.
