I applied to these apartments and got denied. No love lost but I didn't receive my deposit back that I paid. That's the aggravating part of it all. Don't get blindsided by the views they offer. Losing out on $800 is not cool especially when your looking for a place to call home.

Google
So I've been here for a month, & I love it so far. There is a lot of older negative reviews that almost deterred me from living here. But I'm glad I chose this place. Eric & Calvin and his concierge team have literally been amazing. They are so respectful, helpful and responsive. I did have an issue with my garbage disposal on thanksgiving evening, but the next morning, maintenance guy came. So hellla quick response time. If you're looking for a high rise, in a cool neighborhood, this is the place for you. Only thing I wish as of now, is if there was a way to clean the balcony glass, it’s not a big deal, but for aesthetics it kind of is.

I truly cannot say enough great things about Gilbert — he is, hands down, the best apartment manager I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with. From day one, he has gone above and beyond to make sure everything runs smoothly and that residents feel valued, comfortable, and cared for. Gilbert is incredibly responsive, professional, and dependable. Whether it's a maintenance request, a question about the property, or just a friendly check-in, he is always available and eager to help. He handles everything with a calm, positive attitude and never makes you feel like you’re asking too much. What really sets Gilbert apart is his genuine care for the people who live here. He takes the time to get to know residents personally, remembers names and preferences, and works hard to create a sense of community. Thanks to him, the property is always clean, safe, and welcoming — you can tell he takes great pride in his work. Living here has been an absolute joy, and Gilbert is a huge part of that. If every building had a manager like him, the world of renting would be a whole lot better. Five stars doesn’t even come close — Gilbert deserves ten!

Google
Management is absolutely awful!!! Gilbert the property manager is extremely rude, and is constantly passive aggressive and unhelpful whenever a situation is brought to his attention. I am extremely set on not renewing just based off of gilbert’s attitude. horrible at his job!!!

Google
We've been residents for over a year, and our experience keeps improving month by month. The ongoing upgrades to the building are impressive, and we genuinely feel we're getting excellent value for our rent, especially when compared to other places that lack similar amenities. The community vibe and attentive staff contribute to making this place feel like home.

I moved in last October and have been very pleased with living here. The location is perfect for me and it is close to many great restaurants, stores, theater. The staff has been very helpful since day one and I definitely recommend this apartment complex to anyone looking for a place downtown.

Google
I’ve lived at Altura for almost a year now & while I was a bit hesitant at first because apartment reviews can sometimes be discouraging, I’m so glad I chose here! The location is perfect, the units are super cool, & the concierge guys + Eric are always so helpful & kind. I’ve loved my time here & would really recommend this place to anyone wanting to live downtown!

Google
Amazing experience — sad to be moving out! I’ve had such a great time living here and I’m genuinely sad to be leaving. The highlight of my experience was definitely Gilbert—he was always so helpful, kind, and went out of his way to make sure everything ran smoothly. He really made this place feel like home.

Yelp
First the good things: good location and nice concierge staff who are generally helpful and nice. The apartment itself was also fine. But there are better options for similar pricing downtown. But I would never advise anyone to rent here and did not renew my lease for several reasons. Things were broken constantly. The garage doors never worked in the 15 months I was there. Tenants had their cars broken into. My AC was broken for a cumulative total of about a month and a half over the 15 months, the last time for nearly 4 weeks. The elevators were constantly breaking. One was broken for a 2 month stretch. The front door to the building was broken and unlocked for over a month. The tiles on the pool level are loose and legitimately dangerous. And there is hardly any communication from management about anything. And the manager Gilbert is a piece of work. Do not trust him and document every communication and record every conversation because he will straight up deceive you. It took me over a month to get my security deposit back after he strung me along saying the check was coming. After 4 weeks I finally had to threaten small claims action and find the corporate accounts payable manager's email to get my check delivered. Not surprisingly he had been lying the entire time and the check wasn't on its way until I reached out. Go find a better place for your money in a newer building if you want to live downtown.

Yelp
This place is a dump! The only people who truly care are Calvin and TK, the concierges, and even the maintenance guys are sweet. The garage door has been broken for over a year, and now the elevator will be broken beyond 2025. The manager is extremely unprofessional and rude, and only Eric truly cares in the office. My washing machine breaks almost every month with no replacement. For the amount we spend in Phoenix, I expect this to at least meet up to the minimum expectations of neighboring buildings but this place is going down. Don't rent here, you will regret it! Read all the other reviews.

Yelp
I'm honestly disappointed with this visit to my apartment hunting trip I work for the company as well not at this location different location. Young guy at the front desk is not the best fit for this location I have showed up multiple times early, mid evening ,different days trying to tour a apartment each time I have came in I get shut down by the front staff telling me they are closed for the day or no one is available to set a appointment I have attempted to schedule a tour it gets no where phone some how disconnects each time on their end. This property is no longer on my move in list. very unprofessional leasing staff attitude not welcoming.

Yelp
I've lived in this building for just over a year and in that timespan, my apartment has been completely flooded twice and partially once. The management team was not accommodating or helpful when it happened. I have two pets and was forced to come out of pocket thousands of dollars to go live in a hotel for over a week while they tried to get the water drained. The apartment offered me a laughable amount in rent credit as compensation. The people that work the front desk (including Calvin) are the best part of this building. Other than that, there is nothing luxury about this place except the price.

Alex M.

Yelp
Just don't even bother - it's like every other "luxury" property where everything is always broken. Currently broken: both garage doors (car break ins are frequent), the building's FRONT DOOR (like, the lobby? Just open all hours of the night with no security!), the pool is closed with no explanation or apology, the water fountain in the gym is broken, amongst more! Never mind that elevators go down for MONTHS at a time - enjoy your ten minute elevator waits when heading to work at 7AM.

Trevor B.

Yelp
It has been a great living experience with great people. This review is to single out concierge Calvin because he keeps this ship running! There is not a thing that goes down in this building without his knowledge or hand involvement. He has helped my roommate and I countless times with several different matters and always handles them professionally. There have been incidences where before we could even get ahold of the building due to operation hours, Calvin already caught onto an error and handled it immediately, so by the time hours of operation began he already had a solution. He has helped my roommate and I personally with move in accommodations, mail discrepancies, visitors wanted and unwanted, and facilities needs, above and beyond, on top of his typical duties. Incredibly professional, quick on his feet, heads up, and interpersonal. This guy deserves much of the praise as to why our experience here has been incredible, we are so grateful for him. Looking forward to renewing the lease and continuing to see him running the show up front!

Amir K.

Yelp
Been living here for 4 years. Concierge services led by Calvin are incredible. Calvin is the kindest and most attentive doorman and treats all residents like family. He is so courteous and runs the building well. Moving out and going to miss Calvin dearly.

Barlos H.

Yelp
I don't recommend this place to live because it is the worst and every kind of way you can imagine first of all when you go into the parking garage. There's trash everywhere. Keep in mind you pay $180 a month for this the gates don't even close I was riding the elevator one time and this guy told me that his motorcycle got stolen out of the parking garage Make that make sense. Top of that the water went out for about a month. most people didn't even have water pressure so they couldn't even wash their clothes. they couldn't even take a shower luckily I had water but very low water pressure so I am thankful for that. I moved out. They charge me for every little thing they could find $450 for cleaning and I only owned a bed I can keep going on about this place like how on the 30th floor they have loose tiles that's unsafe my nephews were running around because their kids even if you tell them to stop they're not gonna stop he tripped on the tile that's ridiculous. It's not even safe up there. on top of that the elevators you have to wait 10 to 20 minutes for the elevators and keep in mind 30 stories plus three elevators there should be more than that. also, if you have a patio and you want privacy, you won't get privacy because your neighbors will look at you from left and right. When you enter the front entrance There's a bunch of flies just flying around so ghetto. Also, if your neighbor has a dog and it won't shut up barking, you will have to live with it until they get rid of their dog.

L A.

Yelp
When I first moved in, I was really satisfied with my experience, but it did take me a little bugging to get a reply every here and there. I lived on the 21st floor, I was super happy with my view, and my layout, but then I realized how unprofessional my move in really was. As somebody who works in property management, I was severely disappointed in the way they fixed my unit prior to me moving in. The walls were not fully painted, just spot touch ups you can see in the light, paint on the shower doors, outlets etc. The floor were disgusting and the apartment continued to smell like rotten eggs and sewer despite how clean it was while I lived there. I also moved into a unit which was occupied by a previous employee, and the washer and dryer was FULL of dog hair and it smelt so bad. The hallways smelt so bad, elevators barely worked, appliances in amenities needed to be fixed, and I also cut my foot twice at the pool area because they failed to replace broken tiles (It wasn't too big of an issue for me at the time because I was already dealing with a lot). My neighbor was an employee who I had to submit a noise complaint about 2 days after he moved in, not even knowing he was an employee, which made sense to why nothing changed. I tried to brush it off my shoulders because the staff was over all nice and maintenance was quick, I could tell they sometimes tried their best, and everybody minded their business. My grandma recently passed away and I had to move out of state last minute because my mom wasn't taking it well, she's still struggling mentally and emotionally which is why I moved out. I emailed corporate which like usual, they just forwarded my email back to the office, expected. In my request I asked to be released from my lease due to the circumstances but I think I held back from expressing more than I should have. I got an email back, and all they said was "This will be considered a skip, sorry for your loss" in summary. I recently received an email stating it was my last notice before Collections, and I think its absurd how much they are not willing to help me out. I understand paying for what they had to trash out, but given my circumstances you'd think they'd work with me a little bit. The funny part is, looking back at the email chain, the manager, Gilbert completely disregarded my request to be released from the lease. It didn't matter if I had all the supporting documents to show my grandmas death, my moms paperwork or my bank statement showing how much I had to give to my family just to lay my grandma to rest. It's so sad. I don't recommend living here, their goal is to collect money which I understand, but I don't see them ever cutting anybody slack to do a good thing. Even working in this industry, I always do the best I can to help my residents out while meeting my goals because outside of work, I'm human too. So now, I won't be able to live anywhere until this collections is paid off, not even that, $8k in 30 days is crazy, especially when half the staff probably couldn't do that if the roles were reversed. I've had 4 of my friends tell me they wanted to live there over the last 2 weeks and I told them not to even waste their time. I will be posting this review on all platforms and am requesting to speak to corporate once again.

Yelp
DO NOT RENT HERE! The property management is complete garbage, Jennie and Eric are not accommodating at all and they are both not concerned of tenants who live there. However, Calvin the doorman has always been accommodating. I once got asked by a new doors man if I lived there. The rent is absolutely expensive in addition to paying 150$ for "private parking". I quote private parking. On thanksgiving day, my car was stolen from my parking lot and it was all caught on security footage. Altura management never helped with recovering the vehicle. However I had to spend more time out of my days to investigate the situation myself with the help of a PI. Ultimately, 2 weeks later the car was recovered. Their communication is all over the place. They will charge you for anything and everything with some generic explanation. Be sure to notify them 60 days befor you move out because they won't and they will charge you for that. They will say they sent you and email, which is false. I never had an email from anyone. And when I did notify them it was 50 days so about 10 days later. They initially wanted me to pay an absurd amount in which you could put down as a good car down payment. After talking with some advisors they thought it was ludicrous. As I continued to talk to Eric he mentioned a number that I thought was reasonable but then when it was time to pay the adjusted amount was just as much as the initial bogus number they gave me. I decided not to renew my lease because of the terrible customer service and security of the property. You would think the excessive amount you are paying for the apartment you could get some top notch professsiomals that can do their jobs at high level. This is not the case. I ended up paying it. In addition to keeping the apartment immaculately clean upon move out. I remember I had a 300$ deposit. I had my tv wall mounted on the living room wall and decided to keep the holes open because I wasn't going to go through the hassle of a third party (task rabbit, etc). Due to the holes in the wall I assume that's what they took out of the deposit but I recieved 129.90 back. Don't get me wrong. The views are amazing but the property itself was always under some sort of remodeling or construction. The entrance at the doors always smell like dog piss and the hallways of my apartment and internally always had smells of marijuana. The elevators are sketchy and you'll be lucky if all three are working at the same time. Imagine having to walk 18+ floors to get down to your car bright and early and late at night...ya not ideal. There have been on multiple occssians where the water has been shut off for days, there has been an electricity outage on multiple occasions and it doesn't stop there. The deck on the pool is not safe and has loose tiles in which is unstable. The pool and hot tub have been broken and unable to use on multiple occasions. Thankfully my apartment was safe but their have been apartments that have been flooded. I would suggest if you're looking to live in downtown. Choose a property that puts their tenants first. Check out the Ryan or others around the area to get better service and not this junk.

Yelp
This place stinks and looks like trash the elevators are filthy they don't have cleaning ppl at all floors are a disaster don't move here if yu are a clean person they toe your car and there's no visitors parking I've lived other apartments here DT n this is the worst and expensive

Joe M.

Yelp
Awful place, in my tenure there I went through a couple complete staff changes. Every Issue, I had to negotiate with the staff. I had my Corvette broken into in a "secure garage". The apartment was nice but not worth the headaches by a longshot.

Yelp
Terrible place The bugs: insane - the trash over flow: incredibly disgusting - the elevators breaking every couple days? Really scary. We had some elevator guys come in a fix them after months of not working, One of them said I've never seen this many problems with a "functioning" elevator. He said he wouldn't ride these if you paid him. Don't live here. The new management will not care about you. They tried to charge us an extra three grand on our way out. Living on the side of the road is a safer healthier choice. Good luck PS they got rid of the security guards and now the lobby door is broken! Lovely place :)

Yelp
Property Management is absolutely terrible, Jennie to be specific! They don't care about nuisance neighbors! Nothing is ever solved no matter how many times it is addressed and brought to their attention. Parking garage is an absolute joke, I pay $150 a month so that everyone else could park for free and in whoever's spot they choose, including handicapped parking! Also there is a dark relief area that you could smell from your apartment because it is not maintained or cleaned whatsoever. This place is an absolute disaster as far as management is concerned!

Yelp
I am very disappointed and disgusted with Altura and their professionalism. I stan appointment with an agent for Monday February 20th and even was sent a reminder of my appointment and no one was available on-site. I don't know why the representative didn't tell me no one was going to be on-site for a walk thru. I've already paid a deposit and application fee. I don't know why there was no communication. I traveled out of town for LA just to see the apartment and had high hopes and my flight leaves the next day. I am very disappointed. Can anyone help me get my fees back?

Matthew N.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place but I think I'll be moving on once my lease is up. The Good: 1. I have a 2 bedroom corner unit with beautiful views. My apartment unit itself is nice and quiet. The location is excellent, I genuinely love it..... it's everything else that comes with living in this building that is the problem. 2. Front lobby staff is really nice and helpful. 3. Gym is okay. Just okay, could be better. I decided to get a membership elsewhere because it didn't have enough. Other high rises in the area have much better gyms. The Bad: 1. Bike was stolen from the parking garage my very first month living here. "Go through insurance" is their catch all be all. $500 deductible for a $650 bike... that was an immediate loss for me. I now keep my new bike in unit which is less than ideal. Garage doors are constantly broken and left wide open. Parking garage is filthy and in dire need of power washing. 2. Washer and dryer are not reliable and do not dry the clothes well. This will result in higher electric bills for several hours long cycles, be warned. All reviews are true. 3. Balcony glass is constantly filthy from dripping water/chemicals coming from somewhere above. It affects all balconies from what I can see facing the south. Incredibly frustrating and takes away from the view. Very hard to clean because of the chemicals, whatever it is. It just smears. 4. Elevators constantly broken, hot tub constantly broken. 5. Residents are less than ideal, truly a shame there. Met some really nice people but there's a ton of trashy and rude people I've encountered. 6. Doggy park absolutely wreaks of urine. Not we'll maintained. The front lobby entrance is also covered in dog urine and wreaks. Really takes away from the "luxury"feel when the front door of your building is covered in pee. 7. Lobby remodel somehow looks worse than the original when I moved in. Lobby floors also always filthy. 8. I feel it's overall too expensive for what is provided. 9. Leasing office/ management staff change over constantly and are less than reliable. 10. Trash chute door is broken on my floor and lazy neighbors leave it open constantly. Nothing like stepping off the elevator and being hit with the stench of hot rotting trash in your "luxury" apartment. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place unless you're okay with the headache that comes with it. The units and views are great, everything else within the building is not. There are several new high rises in the area under construction that are nearing completion. Take your business elsewhere.

Amira F.

Yelp
Let's see... #1. My bicycle got stolen from the closed parking garage #2. My apartment got flooded 2x (not my fault) and there's a mold smell. They were only concerned with the damage to the building. Always reference the insurance company. #3. I don't own a dog but the dog park smells 100x worst and so does the front of the building. #4. The 2 grills on the roof top pool don't work properly #5. The TV about the roof grills doesn't work. #6. The hot tube rarely works. #7. Didn't tell me parking in their "secured" parking deck is $150 extra per month. #8. The staff changes over faster than the residents #9. The gym is the only reason they get a one star. #10. When you order take out and the front desk person doesn't let them up the elevator to drop off when you tipped extra. #11. Doing construction downstairs we have to walk thru with no options of getting parking accommodations to avoid it. #12. Not worth the rent

Yelp
Omg so I get a phone call from this lovely lady named fantasia ;) she is the leasing agent and let me tell you she was so friendly and helpful, great customer service she made my day even though I won't be moving there. Keep up the good work we need more people like you!!

Yelp
Since moving in a few months ago, we have experienced so many issues with the building and it's staff. We've had floods that affected half the building (evacuated the whole building), a gas leak that caused everyone to evacuate, our water was not working in the building for 2 days straight, the garage door was broken for weeks and the gym equipment has been broken with a sign on it for months. The amenities that were once very nice are now run down and not working as intended. The dryers don't dry. Last night we had it run for almost 10 hours before the clothes dried. Moving forward we will just be air drying our clothes. They used to clean every floor frequently. Now we're lucky to get it once every other week. We find cigarette butts and empty whip it tanks around the hallways frequently. It seems like they continue add new rules to the residents but I am curious at what point are the staff going to hold themselves accountable? The residents here pay more than average to live in less than average accommodations. Living here could be 10/10 but nobody cares so we're all stuck here once signing up until our lease is up. Live anywhere but here unless you're ready to deal with a building that is obviously understaffed and undertrained.

Oriana R.

Yelp
I have been living in this building for 13 months now with my fiancé. To start off the Jacuzzi has not worked since I moved in, my washer and drier stopped working 2 months in, thankfully they replaced it. Maintenance has come into my apartment without notice. Last but not least the door recently stopped working and I got locked out of my apartment that I pay 2,000$ for and there was no answer from the emergency line. went straight to voicemail on both occasions and waited 2 hours outside until someone opened the door for me to get into my own building. Not only that but the door is still not working so their solution is to leave it unlocked 24/7 where absolutely anybody can get in. When we let them know of the recent kidnappings that have been happening especially to women downtown, they said well they need a fob to get into the elevator so it's not really a safety concern for them. people let people up all the time, so absolutely anybody can get in. I am not resigning my lease to say the least, and would recommend you to take this into account when considering this place.

Alex C.

Yelp
I'm a resident of Altura, and I love it. The amenities are amazing, the views are incredible, and the location is perfect. The property manager, JaiDa did an incredible job of getting us moved in. The unit we moved into had a washer-dryer combination unit, so we requested it be replaced with regular washer/dryers, and JaiDa made sure it was completed within the first week. Overall, great experience.
