Great pizzas and cocktails. Got 6 pizzas for 7 girls to share. Just nice as we are hungry. Fan favourites were vodka sauce and burrata. Got flamingo cocktail and it was pretty sweet. The rest got gin yuzu highball. Comments were that the gin wasn’t very strong. They play 2000s - 2010s music. Very classic.

< Alvy’s > is a bar and restaurant serving New York style pizzas and craft beers curated by Young Master Brewery. Their big red neon sign is definitely iconic, and the light shines through the windows creating a dark red ambience for the entire restaurant. The beer and cocktail selection here is excellent. They also take pride in their handmade sourdough pizzas 🍕 with thin, chewy crusts and flavorful toppings. They come in so many flavors you’d have a hard time in choosing which one to have. But be sure to try one while you’re here! 〔 Follow me on instagram @sikbaobaola ! ^^ 〕

The pizza is so-so now. It was better in the past. Definitely not one of the best pizza in HK, but ok. We got a cheeseburger pizza. The toppings are great. It does taste like cheese burger with the right amount of cheese. The most disappointing part is that the dough itself has zero taste, and it's not as airy and fluffy as before. Caaser salad is nice with the char siu and crispy wonton skin.

A great option for Neapolitan style pizza - Hong Kong needs more of these - and very well priced too. Nice neighborhood atmosphere. Large range of craft beers on tap, but the wine list is a little pricey for what they're serving.

HH if order before 7pm 🔥$50 for a glass of house wine or selection of beer. Pizzas here are lit. I tried the mushroom and sausage and really liked it! Wings are also delicious!! I walked in on a Sunday night. Recommend!

Google
Very nice sourdough pizzas served here. Quaint little restaurant and they do have a decent selection of craft beers to go with your pizzas. Wine list also includes organic wines so that's definitely a plus. Wish the service staff would be a little more enthusiastic though. Otherwise a great place to hang out with friends.

Google
Great pizza, very special fusion favors. But service is pretty bad. We ordered 2 pizzas, asked the sauce to be on the side for the wings, and asked for water. Only 1 pizza came, sauces didn't come on the side, and water never came.

So nice to finally have a chance to try their pizza! Not gonna lie but it was so hard to choose which to get because they all looked so good, but at the end, we went for one of the specialty pizzas (Bourbon Pie Pizza) and it was so delicious! Found the slices bigger than I expected, but still tasty. Loved the sweet and savory chicken with the bbq sauce, which is something you wouldn’t typically add in a pizza. May not look “pretty” or somewhat aesthetically pleasing in the pics, but trust me; it’s way more delicious than it looks in the photo. Would love to go back and try their other specialty pizzas.

Yelp
Hong Kong has a booming and dynamic food scene. One thing that is short on good options is pizza. I heard a lot of good things about Alvy's and was hoping that it would be a place I could go to for good reasonably priced pizza. I came here for lunch on a Sunday and my rating is based on that meal: Food: 3 stars Service/atmosphere: 3 stars Value: 3 stars Recommended dish: latkes We ordered the ma la la pizza, latkes, and chicken wings. I came here specifically for the pizza and was intrigued by the idea of the ma la pizza. You do get some of that numbness on your tongue from the Sichuan pepper. However, that's were the positives end. The pizza just wasn't that good. The dough and crust didn't have a distinct point of view. It wasn't thin and crispy nor was was it chewy, nor did have that Neapolitan char. The pepperoni matched with the chili oil made it really greasy. Need less to say I was disappointed. The latkes were good and were the best part of the meal and if I had a Jewish grandma she would be fine eating these. They do serve local craft beer here so you can get a nice brew on tap to pair with your pizza. Perhaps a different type of pizza would have been better, but given the base ingredient of the dough in crust weren't that great I doubt different toppings would have saved the day. I don't plan on coming back here.

Yelp
Meh. It's ok. Certainly there are much better options in Hong Kong. One-time shot for me. Probably great for the expat Kennedy town locals. From central, it's a quick train ride on the blue line, then a short walk from the station. Kennedy town is a little sleepy compared to the bustling parts of Hong Kong, which can/should be cool. Staff is not very friendly. Not a busy night, but no one even really made eye contact, let alone chat. Everyone just heads down on their phone. Just totally disinterested. Looks to be a mostly Filipino staff. Didn't see a single Chinese or Hong Kong native, not that this matters or is relevant at all. Just an observation. These guys get listed as one of the best pizzas in hk on a few blogs and sites out there, which is why I came out here. Hind site, not worth it. The places in LKF, Wan Chai or soho seem way livelier and friendlier, and honestly the food is better. They do have a good beer selection for a small part of town. That was impressive. But that's about it. One time shot for me. Tons of better options in hk.

Yelp
If you read this place's google review, it has 4.5 out of 5 stars. If you look here at yelp, you might be perplexed by its low rating. We were lured by the google rating, and only wished we had seen the yelp reviews before going there. Trust me, it's not worth the time/$$. On a somewhat busy Friday night, we walked in without reservation and were told only bar seatings were available. 5 minutes later, some seating magically appeared and they found us a proper table for pizza. That made me wonder...do they not have a clue of their own reservation and seating situation? The decor was definitely going for a NYC pizza parlor vibe, with menu only offered in English (clearly gearing for the better educated or expat crowd). The menu had a mix of "fusion" and classics. Both full of vocabularies that confuses even true gourmands and English speakers, yet lacked imagination for a truly fusion or interesting experience. We didn't find anything interesting on the fusion list, so opted for just a classic "mushroom and sausage" pizza. The fennel sausage was overly spiced, surrounded by delicately flavored but rubbery oyster mushroom (not a classic combination, but definitely not a good choice for creativity). The tomato sauce lacked flavor, I wonder if it's coming out of a can. The pizza was undercooked in the center and just cooked on the edge. I must admit, the pizza crust was prob the best bit of the whole thing. For a simple humble pizza, it's easy to make but hard to make it well. This place lacked imagination and execution. You can actually watch them making their pizza, and the "chefs" definitely did not look like skilled labor in doing this. If you've ever watched a proper pizza in the making...these people look like your next door neighbor attempting pizza for the second time. And for the price they're charging?! Your $$ is much better spent elsewhere. We regret spending our precious vacation meal slot on such a mediocre place.

Yelp
Where to start. We happened to be there for a corporate event with specific beers on tap allows to be bought and some wines for the non beer drinkers. This message apparently wasn't passed on to the bartenders, who wouldn't pass wines to us unless we paid for them. When a fuss was made about this the manger came out to tell us not to complain and to also not to come in anymore to order wine.

Yelp
Love the pizza here... reminds me of being in a pizza shop in the US. Although the blaring rock music makes it hard to chat, it has a good vibe and a wide selection of craft beers. We ordered off the menu and stuck to an old faithful - pepperoni pizza. The 11" thin crust pie was covered in a lovely tomato sauce that wasn't too tangy and wasn't super cheesy and the crust was nice crispy and chewy. We also ordered the Caesar which wasn't much to write home about. All in all a great meal... worthy of a trek across the island when you are in need of a pizza fix.
