Always Brewing Detroit

This is everything a neighborhood coffee shop should be. A locally owned, cozy place for good, reasonably priced coffee. There's convenient car and bicycle parking right in front. It's easy to drive past and not notice them as their storefront doesn't stand out much.

Great selections; plenty of coffee and tea varieties, but not so many that it's overwhelming. Amanda (the previous owner) and Cody (the current owner) are both wonderfully nice people, and they've given this place their all. The shop is situated in the Grandmont-Rosedale business district on Grand River, so it's centrally located in a beautiful, up and coming area. Get the lavender latte (best over ice), a slice of pound cake, and sit back; it's a very comfortable environment.

Where do I begin. I absolutely love everything about this coffee shop. The community are all very nice and the workers are very knowledgeable of the coffee and helpful when making selections. I could really go on forever but please leave the gas station coffee alone and make this you're official go to spot for premium coffee.

I was excited to try this cafe due to the previous recommendations. Unfortunately, my experience wasn’t similar. I ordered a single origin pour over, and was excited about the three choices (especially the Radical Coffee Guatemalan). After I paid, I quickly used the restroom and almost immediately afterward my coffee was “done.” After trying it, I realized the coffee grounds were not detailedly measured and the steeping process was way too short. The barista seemed to be in a hurry to go back to her knitting project in the corner of the shop. It’s a cool space, but needs some attention payed to product quality.

The proprietor are amazing Amanda is amazing. The shop have entertainment, Thursdays Open Mic. Awesome variety of coffee, its a great community gathering place. So if you're in the area (19180 Grand River Ave.) North Rosedale Park, come see for yourself.

This place is a jewel. Cody is good people! Their Chai latte is better than any other Cafe. He has done awesome teas too and the muffins are tasty

Great loc coffee shop! Barista was very friendly and answered all questions we had since it was our first time here. The coffee prices were good, and our coffee was ready in less than 5 minutes. Will definitely be going back.

I can always count on Always Brewing Detroit to provide me with a delicious soy latte, yummy baked oatmeal topped with fresh fruit, and a comfortable atmosphere to meet-up or get some quiet work done on my MacBook. And, we love Amanda! ♡
