I’ve tried a ton of donuts all across Texas, this place right here is the real deal! Jay running the place was super friendly. Explaining how they are honoring the original founders recipe despite the high cost to do so. You can taste the difference of this place, perfectly done donuts & savory ham & cheese croissant. Highly recommend stopping when in Abilene. Thanks again folks y’all are doing great stuff.

This place has to have the best donuts that I have ever had the pleasure of eating they are amazing however the best part of this donut shop is the incredible service you always receive these are the most respectful and kind people you will ever have the pleasure of interacting with they are so kind I melts my heart and the atmosphere just makes me feel so secure and comfortable it's always clean and has a real good home feel to it if I ever came across someone who thinks Krispy Kreme is better I just know they don't understand the true beauty of this shop

The best donuts and fountain drinks we have had in a long time! The little lady was so sweet and kind to my wife and I. We will stop here again when in Abilene!

I thought AM donuts was the best in town? Definitely not a fan of their donuts.

I arrived at 11:16 am and the website as well as the front door both state that business is open until 12:00. Open sign was lit. Before I could get out of my car and walk to the door from directly out front, the lady working locked the door, turned off the open sign and walked past me several times while closing for the day. So rude! Display still had multiple trays of donuts so there was no excuse. I won't come back!

This is the regular stop for my family on Saturday mornings. We love going here! And the staff is always so warm and welcoming. They’re never annoyed at my toddler running around and touching every inch of the display case. They even give her a free doughnut hole on rare occasion. All in all, this place is wonderful! Be sure to stop here!

My how time flies. My review from 2013 still stands! This place is great! My lifestyle is slightly more healthy these days, so I don't come as much as I used to. But some things never change. First there were the wonderful apple fritters. But soon the excellent cherry fritters become my favorite. Well, now the blueberry fritters have vaulted into first place! This is that delicious 1000 calorie snack you just have to eat once in a while! But only once in a while, don't be getting carried away. This husband and wife team have also opened up the OMG Noodle House right next door to the donut shop. Absolutely delicious food Wed-Sat nights. Breakfast and Supper side by side! Winner!

This was the last AM donut location in Abilene for me to go to, and just like the other locations, it was wonderful! The donuts are fresh, moist, and full of flavor. I'm not sure what they do at AM that is different than other places, but they never disappoint!

Recently stopped to try the Boudin, and let me just say I can't wait till Thursday and Friday to pick up some more!! I've tried a lot of boudin and this one by far is top pick!! I grabbed a few kolaches for my coworkers as well everyone enjoyed them. I'll try to go a little earlier cause it gets a little busy at 730-8am! The staff was very sweet the gentleman that helped me gave me the scoop and when Boudin was available. This was my first time stopping by and it felt like a cute little coffee shop there was people enjoying their coffee and just chatting away. It definitely felt comforting cause I now know this is a go to spot for people!

I initially thought I was wanting a kolaches but no, these Croissants are where it's at! Haven't tried the donuts so don't know about those. This would be my go-to spot for the Croissants if I were to have them again!

Well, I asked for 1 blueberry cake and 1 chocolate iced. Got home and to my surprise inside my bag was 1 glazed, and 1 chocolate cake. Not at all what I asked for. Not even close. Lol. Did I still devour it? Well, of course. Lol. I'll devour anything from AM. Just kinda wish they'd get my order right... ohwell I try to stay positive. Donuts were still good.

H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E.... AM donuts have always been the BEST in town and this is the SECOND time in the last week where the donuts taste OLD & just plain YUCKY!! I'm in shock at how terrible they've been. We will definitely start going elsewhere and I hate that.

There's always a long line, but it moves quickly. Our favorites are: _the cinnamon rolls, HUGE, cinnamon-y, tender, with just the right amount of glaze (they freeze/reheat well) _chocolate - covered donuts with deep chocolate glaze, faint yellow tender bread that will elicit groans of pleasure _sausage in croissant rolls. _donut holes _apple fritters They are still good on day 3! (The guys always buy too much "it's cheaper by the dozen!")

One word! WOW! This place is a gold mine for donuts and everything in between! Let's just say I bought one of each, but not every thing. Apple fritter, Thee HUGE Cinnamon bun, ham & cheese turkey and sausage croissant; I think that about everything that I bought. And nooooo...I did not eat all that in one sitting; that's why you bring some to work and half with everyone. Then you taste! taste! everything... Lol

I tried their turkey & cheese croissant, it was extremely good. Boys tried a variety of donuts and kolaches, they liked those too! Will definitely be back!

After a long week of craving donuts I did a quick search online to show where I could get my hands on some. My boyfriend and I pulled into the parking lot and when we got out the delicious smell of fresh baked pastries almost knocked us on the ground! I knew we came to the right place when we were inside, there were at least four tables full of people and another few groups in line. I love the set up here with the display cases and cash register at the end. We couldn't believe the donut holes were 15 for a DOLLAR. 100 pennies people! Besides those we tried out the lemon filled, raspberry filled, bavarian creme with chocolate on top, blueberry cake donut, plain glazed, peanut butter and chocolate, and finally a turkey and swiss croissant. For two people that is obviously a huge order, but we wanted to get a variety going! We ordered drinks and sat down at a table. First I got into the donut holes... texture was the very definition of perfect donut. Flaky, light, dense but not chewy or mushy with just enough sweet glaze on the outside but not overpowering. Next I took a bite of the full size glazed. Just as wonderful only bigger. The turkey and swiss croissant was savory and decadent. My two favorites from this whole trip would have to be the peanut butter and chocolate, and blueberry cake donut. The peanut butter tasted like nothing I've ever had and took over my taste buds with pleasure. Blueberry cake donut lived up to it's name. The flavor was spot on and the texture was a nice change from all the normal donuts. In the end we took almost half the box home for leftovers. I'm sure we will be back, especially right before our road trip home coming up soon!

If you want donuts or any kind of breakfast food in Abilene this is your spot. All the locations serve up quality food. Their turkey and cheese croissant is unlike anything I have ever encountered. It is so yummy and melty and the perfect thing to accompany my one chocolate donut when I decide to treat myself in the morning. Their donuts are not grainy sugary, they are heavenly sugary. I am so happy they have more than one location now. The drive-thru line in the mornings can get a little lengthy, but they do a great job keeping it moving. I usually choose to go inside, because, hey, who doesn't want to see hundreds of donuts in one place and smell that sweet aromatic loveliness.

Best glazed donut I've ever had. Weak coffee. The cinnamon rolls and turkey & cheese croissant were good, but nothing compared to the plain glazed donut.

This is the best donut shop in the United States! Wonderful cinnamon rolls, blueberry fritters, and many kinds of donuts. The breakfast croissants are also outstanding! We come to Abilene from Florida, and never miss this stop. The service is excellent, too!

These donuts are amazing! They sell out fast on Saturdays and Sundays so go early if you want a big selection. The staff is all super friendly and the food is always fantastic. There is a $5 minimum for credit.

When in town for company meetings I always stop here and get donuts and goodies for the crew. Always been good! Highly recommended!

After living here for almost 2 years we made it to AM donuts. I was so happy there was not a line there because with 5 kids, it takes a long time for them to make their choices. The kids got chocolate sprinkles, pink glazed, chocolate with chocolate glazed and chocolate with chocolate chips (can you tell they love chocolate). I ordered the apple fritter and was not disappointed. It was amazing! Reminded me of Dunkin Donuts. They have drinks there but it was overpriced in my opinion. The donuts are very affordable at 65 cents each with the fritter being $1 and 12 donut holes for $1. The workers there were very friendly. They also accept credit/debit cards as long as you reach $5. They even have an ATM inside ($2.50 surcharge). This is a great place to take the kids to reward them for good behavior.

Everything, and I mean everything is fantastic here. The plain glazed donuts, the filled donuts, the Apple Fritter, the Cinnamon Buns, and Croissant stuffed with with ham and cheese or Jalapeno Cheese Sausage. AMAZING! Don't be put off by the line early on a Saturday or Sunday morning it moves quickly and is worth every minute you wait.

To be quite honest I believe that Krispy Kreme has nothing on AM these donuts are the next big thing! If you dont believe me then try them yourself. Oh and remember to say that Ryan sent you.

If you have been around here a long time you remember Taste Delights donuts, which is the greatest donut ever. ( crispy cream eat your heart out!!!!!! ) But they closed so the greatest has shifted, AM Donuts takes the cake. I really love glazed donuts and jalapeno sausage rolls.

This place RULES! There is NO other donut shop in Abilene in my opinion. If you want donuts or other fine pastries, these people have it going on in spades!!! Parking sucks at the Willis location but the one on Treadaway has parking to spare! They sell uber good smoothies at the Willis location, but not at the treadaway location. So if you want parking, go to Treadaway - if you want smoothies, go to Willis. Either way, you will get killer donuts!!!

This review is only for the AM Donuts located on S. Willis. I went to this location on a Tuesday morning around 9:45 am. Their hours state they close at 2:00. When we went in, almost all of their bakery cases were empty. I would say about 3 out of 10 windows had food in them. They literally had 6 glaze donuts and a dozen and a half donut holes left. When I asked about it, they said that was it for the day. Then, they gave my son the wrong donuts, and I noticed it after I had already paid. I had been very clear about NOT wanting the cake donuts. When I pointed it out, they switched them and still proceeded to charge me 20 cents extra even though they made a mistake. Basically I was less than impressed at their lack of customer service. I, personally, will never be back to this particular location.

Best donuts in Abilene, HANDS DOWN! My family and I have been going here since we moved to Abilene two years ago. Friendly service and fresh baked donuts. Donut holes are killer.

When we have guests staying with us we have to treat them to Abilene's AM Donuts, it is like putting HEAVEN IN YOUR MOUTH! OMG!
