The food was excellent and so was liche martini. The service was very good. The smell of chemicals was so overwhelming! I don't know what they clean with, but no reason for a food place smell like chemicals.

Google
Am Thai Bistro is a hidden gem in Brooklyn. This spot serve authentic Thai food and amazing cocktails. Every dish we tried was incredible. The fish was huge ( didn’t expect that lol ) , the Mango salad was super refreshing, and the Khao soi had so much flavor. The whole vibe of the restaurant is super cozy and pretty too with all the flowers. Huge shoutout to Chef Boonnum for making everything so delicious. Service was super friendly too. Definitely adding this to my go-to spots in Brooklyn.

Google
I was just one person eating inside and saw that on the table, it stated an 18% gratuity. When I asked if they charge this even with one person, they said yes. Next time I will take out the food. I loved that they had the Pra Ram which is jasmine rice with chicken carrots broccoli and string beans in peanut sauce.

I have been to this amazing cozy restaurant several times already. Excellent service, unusual presentation and unrivaled taste.

Google
LOVE this place! One the best Thai food spots in Brooklyn HANDS DOWN! Pad Thai slaps. My kid loves the drunken noodles. Cocktails go crazy too. The Thai iced tea tastes really fresh and not artificial. The people here are extremely nice especially the owner. Well deserved five stars!!!

Google
AM Thai is AM-AZING!!! I could not recommend a nicer spot to get local, delicious, and flavorful food! We picked up catering from AM Thai for a film shoot. The team was incredibly accommodating and nice. They individually packed the meals which made them easy to pass out as lunches to hungry cast and crew members. They gave me and the other Production Assistants complimentary Thai tea which was a lovely treat. I highly recommend the crispy pork and the beef pad see ew—both dishes were packed with yumminess. If you’ve read this far, you better go check out AM Thai ASAP!!!

Google
Everything was great Specifically the Hot wings. We also ordered the Winter duck roll which was delicious I’m not sure what kind of bread they used but it was nice and fluffy. For drinks we got the Lychee lemonade which my bestie finished (no picture) and I got the lavender lemonade. The lemonade was so good we took some to go although she changed her drink everything definitely fulfilled our palate. The mimosas were definitely fulfilling I will definitely be coming by again.

Great Thai dinner in Brooklyn! We wanted Thia and got Thai. The servers were nice. The atmosphere is definitely exciting.

Yelp
My niece has been a fan of this establishment for years. She was in love with the place. I would visit sporadically nothing to complain about it really. Then my niece and family moved to Florida. I decided to explore the menu. Currently, I'm a fan of anything with mock duck, the pad Thai, pad see yew, I'm loving it. The Thai wings are ok with a sweet sauce on the side. The ambience ok, it's a small place don't really see too many eating in there which is cool. Especially when I want to eat in there. I kinda figured if McDonald's sold mock duck with noodles I'll be there. That's how I feel about this place. It's good when you want a quick Thai place to eat. Like McDonald's French fries, you want it when you want it!

Yelp
The food is so good it hits the soul like home cooking the service is the best they are very attentive and fast to please the low Lighting give a soft and cozy feeling where two can get close and share there foo the drinks lavender lychee are on point and the wine selection is very diverse love this place.

Yelp
Service was good, food was okay! This isn't a bad review by any means. This restaurant just seems a bit expensive to me, with portion sizes that aren't very big and flavors that don't make up for the prices marking up. I feel very neutral about my meal, so I'm giving it an average rating. Come here if you got the money for it, I guess!
google avatar

Henry M.

Yelp
I order from here sometimes, and have dined in occasionally. The food is good, but the portion size for the price is a bit of a ripoff. If you're looking to satisfy a craving go for it, but don't get your hopes up for good portions for the price you pay.

Yelp
Nice place, but pretty small and kind of cramped. Lots of staff. I had the wonton soup and it was literally just wontons in water. The broth was not good at all. My friend got the pad thai and that was pretty good.

Yelp
Loved this place! We were visiting the Brooklyn Museum and craving noodles so we stopped by this restaurant. The service was great! Very small and intimate space but they make it work. The food was really really good. The Thai Ice Tea was so good, my first time trying it. They have been here for years! You can tell by the way customers come in and out, and how they have orders lined up for delivery. Even then they're very patient and attentive to their guests. Would come back!

Yelp
My to go order took less than 5 minutes from me ordering til the bag was placed in my hand. i should've known this food was trash. I ordered basil fried rice with shrimp. It was the absolute worst I ever had. This rice was soft and soggy like it was steamed. No way it was fried and instead of basil there was hunks of green pepper in it. If the egg was in it, it must've been invisible or masked as green pepper. I couldn't eat that mess. I wasted $18 and I'm was still hungry
google avatar

Larissa B.

Yelp
Had the holy basil fried rice and it was good! Very nice basil flavor and the portions are generous. The tomyum soup also had good flavors and I'm glad they have a lot of options for the proteins, catering to vegetarians and vegans. The lemonade is a bit too sweet for us.

Yelp
I came here for my birthday last week and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The service was on point, thank Joy for being a great waitress and trying to get us drunk. The restaurant is quaint, cute and on the smaller side. Probably can fit about 20 people. We had an array of appetizers: Chicken Satay Chives Chicken and Shrimp Dumplings Shrimp Rolls Fresh Mango Salad Bistro Roti (not pictured) Jumbo Margarita and Lychee Martini The margarita was strong, strong. The lychee martini at first was mild but they spiked it for free and it was strong. The drinks were huge. The food was fresh and tasty. I loved the mango salad and the crunchiness of the cashews.

Teaching M.

Yelp
Very yummy! The Chinese broccoli was cooked to perfection - crispy. Good portions. The mock duck was tasty. Polite service. Sunny big windows.
google avatar

B K.

Yelp
Jumbo mojito didn't get me buzzed. Plus they don't let you sit and drink, they rush the food to you. Let me drink first, then order. I'll order more then.

Yelp
Cannot believe we live in a time where a plate of thai food that used to cost $12 five years ago now costs double that amount. Inflation and market volatility are no joke. Vegetable pad gra prow was typical. Tofu was inedible--it was tough as a crusty mattress. Skip. $25 drunken seafood noodle was a better choice. Hearty and filling. Seafood wasn't tough. The heat from the chilly flakes is definitely there, so if you don't like moderate spicy, ask for that. This is a tiny, casual, unassuming thai place for a quick grab to eat. Service was standard, nothing to remark on. You can find tons of similar thai spots all over the area. Nothing worth returning for in terms of this place.

Yelp
So after hanging with a friend at the King's Theatre, we headed to Am Thai Bistro for dinner. Although this place is small, it was very inviting. We were greeted by JOY who was truly that. After reviewing the menu, she gave us some great recommendations for drinks, appetizers, and food. So for starters, we had the crab rangoon, spring rolls, chicken wings, and dumplings. Then we had the Pad Thai and I had the Pad See Ew, which was right on point. Joy's recommendations were spot on cause the food was flavorful and amazingly filling. Please check this place out cause it won't disappoint.

Izzy B.

Yelp
The first time I ate here, the food was good, and I placed an order to go and received burnt food. I will not be returning.
google avatar

Keys P.

Yelp
The crab fried rice with pineapples and curry puffs is my go to. And the shrimp friend dumplings. The place is small but the staff is cool as accommodating. The take out is just as good.
google avatar

Vanessa A.

Yelp
Thai iced tea is delicious and my go to dish is pad broccoli they give a decent amount and the sauce in this dish is great!

Omotunde Vivian A.

Yelp
Delicious food, great and polite customer service, the ambiance is small but nice. I will absolutely go there again.

Yelp
Only thing about Am Thai is they dont have a lunch special deal but everything else about them is amazing. Their inside is cute and decorated modern, the staffs are nice and the drinks are great! (alc and non alc). I had the pad see ew as usual, i got shrimp and tofu. I asked for spicy it was deliciouss. Papaya salad is standard crunch, but I got it to go and it got a bit warm from the food on the bottom. I tried their coconut cooler and Its quite interesting. Pinkly milk is my fav so far. Portions were good i was stuffed. Ok prices.

Yelp
Our go to Thai place to order from. We've been ordering from here for 10years. My favorites to get are: shrimp appetizer, curry puff, samosas, drunken noodles, pineapple fried rice, eggplant delight. We've never eaten in here but it always seems to be busy. I usually pick up because their delivery is sluggish.
google avatar

Chloe C.

Yelp
Stopped in randomly for dinner. Got the lychee thai iced tea and drunken noodles with shrimp. My partner got the garlic duck. Both dishes were cooked perfectly, noodles definitely handmade and very fresh. Service was extremely quick and all staff were very attentive and friendly. Cocktails come in regular or jumbo size, pretty cool. They have some interesting dishes that you don't always see, like sole filet. Very few tables, but cozy and cute environment nonetheless. Unfortunately my partner had an allergic reaction of some sort right as we were leaving the restaurant, though he has no known allergies so not sure what that was about but it does make me hesitant to visit again despite how good everything tasted

Yelp
First time visiting post pandemic. The food and drinks are definitely still on point but the in dining ambience and experience has definitely changed and not for the better. The decor has changed and not as warm and inviting as before. It appears the pandemic has changed the restaurant into more of a takeout spot than the in dining experience I had come to love. I would still get the food but probably won't go out my way to dine in.

Yelp
I ordered via UberEats, my first time and the food was surprisingly amazing!!! I had the Drunken Noodles without eggs and added chicken, Wings and veggie Samosas (there was a buy one get one free). The flavour profile of the noodles, the aloo in the samosas was thoroughly seasoned I could taste and see the cumin, coriander and all the spices. The sauce was sweet & tangy. The wings were perfectly dry and cane with chilli sauce. The portions were generous and good price too. Everything was hot and in sustainable packaging. Food arrived faster than expected as well Maybe some say I'll dine in for the full experience.

Ant G.

Yelp
Firstly, when I received my food, it was the smallest portion possible. I brought 3 different items, that did come to $30; the food taste like a T.V. dinner that just cooled down from the microwave. Not only did it tame almost an hour to receive my delivery, but they didn't even add utensils or napkins with the order. so... the food taste fake, the teriyaki is watery and taste like a T.V. dinner. their proportions DONT match the price. The bowls are really small and they don't fill them up for you. and they didn't even have the courtesy to give me utensils and napkins for my OVERPRICED T.V. dinner FOR KIDS. yes it should've been on a kids menu. you get more in a happy meal for less. I ordered off DoorDash.

Yelp
I've been coming to this restaurant since 2012. The food is really good and fresh. The service is excellent and always attentive to me, but I'm a regular . I used to live in this neighborhood and now travel from Jersey to get food from here . I always recommend, people to come here and everyone says the food is excellent. The place is small and sits 24 people but if you have a chance to eat here;do it .

Michael J.

Yelp
One word.... Delicious will definitely come back again.. I come here tonight and the service was great and the food is clean and full of flavor.

Yelp
My review is based off past experiences and my most recent Uber eats order (2 days ago). I love this place. It's my go to in Brooklyn for affordable authentic tasting Thai. It was my go to every time I went to the doctor's office right across the street. The place is small, and you're greeted upon entry. The multiple times I've gone I was never met with attitude. My go to is Chicken Pad Thai, which is delicious. This time around I also got the garlic fried rice with egg, gyoza, and Thai iced tea. My go to was great, but the garlic fried rice with egg is one of my new favorites. Simple but delicious. The gyoza was great also, crispy and light. The Thai iced tea wasn't my favorite as it was too sweet for my taste. Other than that it was great.

Briana K.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place. I could sit here for hours and feel completely at home eating everything off the entire menu because everything is so delicious! Every time!!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Nice place. Very small. The papaya salad was very good. The mango salad was equally as good. The drinks were top notch and the service was excellent. We split the pad see ew and it was very good. I didn't like the 15% tip added to our party of three. It probably cost the server $10. It's as if restaurants are doing things intentionally to piss customers off.

Cesar H.

Yelp
Love the food. The staff is so friendly. It felt like I was eating at home. Authentic food.
google avatar

Christy J.

Yelp
This place is my go to for Thai takeout, but it's also great for dinning in. Its small and cozy and can get crowded. The appetizers and entrees always hit, the price is always right, and the portions are filling. We went in a group of four and got to try so many things. Unfortunately, they weren't serving cocktails (lost a star here). Something about renewing their liquor license, which kinda sucks. They were my go to for cute fruity drinks in pineapples or with umbrellas. Hopefully that changes soon. We settled for the flavored lemonades and a Shirley temple and they were all pretty good. What we tried: Appetizers -Octopus balls -Spring rolls -Duck dumplings -Curry puffs Entrees -Salmon Steak Mango -Pad Thai w/ chicken -Pad see ew w/ crab (not a fan of the crab) -Pad see ew w/ duck -mint lemonade -Shirley Temple

Yelp
Pad Ti Noodles was not made with love. I had better and that is exactly what I was expecting unfortunately I was let down. however I am on a quest to find one made with the type of love I was expecting .

Yiu Wah L.

Yelp
The food was very tasty! They have amazing curry flavors for anyone looking to eat curry. I was surprised at how well they made dish and how much flavor it has. They also have a lot of different food options to choose from. Next time I come here I will be getting the rice dishes or the fried fish because it looked good on the table next to us. The restaurant also has a large selection of drinks/alcohol so this would be a nice little hole-in-the-wall if you want to bring a date. Only thing that I thought was weird was that when I paid by credit card, the lady pressed her own tips in it which was abnormal.

Nino L.

Yelp
food tasted great until my wife and myself got severe food poisoning from the shrimp pad tai. avoid this place at all costs!! they do not respond to inquiries!! you will get sick!!! avoid!!! avoid at all costs!!!
google avatar

Scarling P.

Yelp
I called to place an order on the phone because Uber eats did not allow me to place an order for pick up and the lady was very rude. She said she would not take my order she was too busy and hung up even after I told her I cannot place my order. Unprofessional and rude.

Empress H.

Yelp
ok so first off I just had Thai last night because I thought I was satisfying my craving for it but I ended up at AM THAI tonight randomly and the food was so good I was mad I didn't eat this last night! The Tom Yum soup here had me drooling!
google avatar

Yelp
Service: Decent service. They greet you, seat you as soon as they can and will come over if you call. Ambiance: Pretty nice, the place is intimate but they do alright with making it not feel crammed. Clean. Cool for lunch, brunch date, dinner date or birthday celebration. Basically cool spot for all. Food: Pretty good and consistent every time I've gone. Tried many dishes and they are all worth at least trying nothing was ever terrible. Why one missing star? Sometimes you just want takeout or delivery and this is where they fall short. The quality and effort is not the same. I only eat here if I can dine in.
google avatar

Yelp
Been going here for years great quality thai food ...small cozy spot...good service ...

Shereena F.

Yelp
Great food! Nice people! Fast and quality service. I order food from Am Thai every time I'm in NY! It is the best.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing place and it's a new discovery! All food we tried looked fantastic and tasted even better.

Payal P.

Yelp
Was craving thai and searched the closest Thai spot with the most reviews and this was it! Was super excited to try it and it was pretty good. The place is really small so try and avoid sitting by the door (the draft made it freezing). First thing I'll say is all of the drinks are wine based, I'm not the biggest fan of those but they were still okay. They don't necessarily market that, I didn't realize until after we got them. For food we got wings, chicken satay, fried rice and pad Thai. Wings were really good. Chicken satay was good but to me, the peanut sauce is the most important part and this wasn't the best one I've had. Fried rice and pad Thai was good! I asked for really spicy but it was more in the medium side so asked for extra chili's to make it spicier. The food was overall good.. might try again if in the area!
google avatar

Marsha F.

Yelp
I dined in the restaurant for lunch. The food was fine and so was the service. What I was not ready for was the automatic 18% gratuity. I normally tip that or more but the waitress automatically charged me that when paying the bill. I think customers should be made aware about this before being charged. Also fix that restaurant door. It slams very loudly after every entry into the restaurant which is very often.
google avatar

Lana V.

Yelp
What a delightful find! It's been awhile since I haven't been disappointed with Thai food. Lately it all seems to sweet and flavorless at the same time. But then I found Am Thai Bistro and it brought me back to my original love of this cuisine. Flavorful but not too much of each thing. The small restaurant was cozy and clean and service was incredibly fast. I can't wait to return!
google avatar

Margaret L.

Yelp
Had lunch here . Have eaten here many years ago . The portion of food is large. The fried rice was good and the squid was nice and tender. I think it could have used a little bit more seasoning. The seafood drunken noodles was a little bit salty . They have an 18 percent gratuity added to the bill which they did not have before. . After the pandemic everything is more expensive. So expected to pay more than before
google avatar

Yelp
I've come here so many times - I don't know how I haven't reviewed Am Thai yet! This place is great! Its a nice spot with some indoor dining, and plenty of take out capacity etc. I love to come here and order cocktails with one of my girlfriends that lives nearby. They have regular to extra large drinks and consistently delicious thai food. I love the chicken pad thai, spring rolls and tom yum soup. The restroom is uniquely designed with a fancy waterfall like sink. The service is always amazing. Great spot in the Kensington area.
google avatar

Brian C.

Yelp
Try the khow soi and thai ocean. But I've never had anything I would not order aYou can park in the bus lanes on Sundays.
google avatar

Jeff S.

Yelp
Wow an amazing spot found in a Google search for Thai. The mixed seafood drunken noodles was amazing. The fried fish, squid and shrimp were all great. The Thai Ice Tea was great as well. The dining experience was great. Small dining area an quaint.

Yelp
I love Am Thai. There's another restaurant in the same vicinity with a very similar name that my best friend and I are always arguing about because she swears by it, but I'm an Am Thai girl honey. First things first, hats off to whoever curated their little drinks section because they always hit the spot and there's so many delicious and FRESH options to choose from. Just had to make sure I threw that in there. Now for the food, I'll admit that I'm not super adventurous when it comes to Thai cuisine. I tend to stick with what I like. My go to is the pad Thai with extra peanuts. Their proteins are always good, you can trust them. I tried their drunken noodles recently and absolutely loved them. I LOVE their fried calamari. I also had their fish basil with the crispy filet of sole for my choice of fish. One thing I will say is that they are a little pricey. $22 wasnt bad for the amount of fish you get because you could definitely feed two people but they sent the SMALLEST container of rice that wasn't even enough for just me. I want to try other things on the menu but if I'm being honest, I'm not willing to spend an arm and a leg on their signature dishes if I'm not receiving proper portions. Their noodle dishes however are very much worth it. Honorable mention: mango and coconut sticky rice. So good. (Again, just a little small in portion size)

Robert R.

Yelp
Great tasting Thai food and reasonable prices. I order from there often, at least once a week I usually order on Uber eats but it is cheaper for me to order and pick up.

Tori G.

Yelp
THE best! Authentic, tasty food. Great service and an always friendly crew of people makes this place one of my favorite "go-tos" in the area!
