"With its mantra of “what is local protects us”, this spacious, comfortable yet unpretentious restaurant with a glass-fronted kitchen focuses on contemporary cooking which works with just a few ingredients to bring out the essence of every individual flavour. The team here views gastronomy as an opportunity to adapt traditional home-style cooking to a modern audience without the need to over-complicate, so that we enjoy good food through the use of the best seasonal ingredients sourced from trusted local suppliers. Chefs Gorka and Javier showcase their skills on a tasting menu (which can be extended by adding two extra dishes) that changes week by week in line with the availability of local ingredients from Tolosa and its region. During the game season, guests can enjoy unique meats such as Sagardoz venison. Don’t leave without trying Ama’s exquisite cheesecake!" - Michelin Inspector

Very nice place with polite and friendly staff. As for the food, the portions are expensive and small, and not particularly tasty — not bad, but nothing exceptional. I’ve been here, I’m glad I came, but I wouldn’t return

Despite booking a week in advance, we were placed right in front of the bar, with barely any space to enjoy our meal. When we asked to move, the staff reacted rudely and handled the situation unprofessionally and made us feel unwelcomed. The food was mediocre, portions small, and prices unjustified. The atmosphere felt tense and uncomfortable throughout. A real disappointment, especially since we came to celebrate a birthday.

I had diner at Ama with a group of friends (party of 12). The food was really good, the dishes are beautifully presented and the overall atmosphere is nice. I didn’t rate it 5 stars because the service was pretty slow (we waited 50 minutes to get our pre-diner cocktails, the wine we ordered for the food pairing came first) and not careful (you have to waive at the waiter 4/5 times before they come to you, and don’t come to your table proactively). I think that this place has a good potential but could improve with a better organization.

Beautiful restaurant with lovely staff. Came here with friends and felt like we left with more. The waiters were super friendly and took great care of us. The food was very tasty, but a little lacking in portions. It makes it hard to share when they are so small. A little on the pricey side so expend to drop some €€ but it’s a nice experience.

We went there for a girls night out. What can I say … it is the perfect place to do that. The place is cozy, the decoration is zen elegant with lots of green plants, staff is very kind and smiley and with very good food drinks advices. The food concept is also original - you order several dishes that you can share. And everything - beside the ceviche yesterday that was a bit surprising, was absolutely tasteful! We will be back 😅

I was attending a birthday dinner at Ama’s and we had an absolutely amazing evening. The service was super kind and friendly, the food delicious and we loved the whole atmosphere. We were seated upstairs at the long table where we had our own little space. Ama is perfect for special events, birthdays etc. They had different vegetarian options too.

I celebrated my birthday at the restaurant. The food was very good and flavoured and the waiters were very nice. But I was disappointed by the attitude of the stuff during the reservation and at the end of the evening. First of all I wrote 2 emails at least one month in advance and made several phone calls to arrange the reception and specifically the birthday cake. They never replied to the emails and promised to call me later and never did so 2 days before the reservation I called once more time and have been told that they can not prepare the birthday cake as promised and I shall bring exceptionally my own (normally outside food is not allowed..) short notice to order a cake … but in the end I managed to get one Second at around 21h45 the waiter came to our table and told us that we have to leave cause it is booked for the second service. I was kind of shocked as I was never told about that policy in advanced and there was no mention of that in the reservation (I checked twice). It’s not nice to tell your guest “sorry you have to leave…” The manager gifted us the 3 cocktails to kind of soothe the situation but I find too many “unprofessional mistakes ” for one evening.

Visited on Tuesday evening at the beginning of service. Cozy ambiance, even better than on their maps photos. Food was great and service time was fine. Highly recommend the smoked aubergine and l’onglet de bœuf. The Bagghera cocktail was great too.
