Amalfi's is VERY GOOD ! The food is great. We enjoy the calamari, chicken parmesan and terminus. The house cybernetic is nice. The service was great. Our server Brian was excellent. The atmosphere is dimly lit with candlelight and music. The also have a bar you can also dine at.

I was nervous to come here because I read the bad reviews. But our experience was very nice. Our server was the perfect amount of attentive and very knowledgeable. The restaurant was very clean and cute and I daresay quiet, which was nice. I ordered a pineapple Cosmo that was good and the linguine with clams, mussels, shrimp and scallops. The shrimp was over cooked but everything else was perfectly cooked. Oh. We also got the calamari with the spicy sauce. It. Was. To. Die. For. I had a bite of my sisters meatball (that was the size of my fist) soooooo good! 100% recommend and would return.

Wow - what a great “find” here in Roswell! This older restaurant not on Canton Street is the best Italian food I’ve had in Roswell so far! I’ve been on a mission to try new places in 2025 and my buddy actually suggested this one. I’m sure I’ve passed it many times but never looked it up. It’s definitely unassuming but well worth visiting. It feels, smells and tastes like a traditional Italian restaurant in all the right ways. Our service was impeccable. The food was excellent. The overall experience was outstanding.

Google
Food was OK. I had chicken Parmesan. It came with pasta. The bread was good but it had to ask for a refill on that. The atmosphere was loud overall it could’ve been better but it was OK.

David Raizor

Google
Very loud hard to hold a conversation. Some of our party’s food was very good. Mine was not, however, the tiramisu dessert was amazing.

I’m not one to typically leave bad reviews on a small business but I truly don’t believe this place deserves its above 4 star rating and want to make others aware. First of all, the bathrooms were out of soap. A kitchen worker walked out before me, how did they wash their hands? Pasta was presented nicely but sauce was so watery none stuck to the noodles. Not enjoyable. Server was kind. Bartender was extremely rude and obnoxious.

Google
First time at this restaurant. We were told we could grab a drink at the bar while we waited for our table, so we tried the house cab and it was a very good wine! Once seated, we were greeted by a very nice server and he took very good care of us. The Caesar salad was amazing. Two others at our table ordered the salad after the salads were brought out because they were so good! The spaghetti sauce was not my favorite, but overall a great time, great food and great company!

Google
I love this place. I think it’s one of the best authentic Italian American style restaurants in Georgia. Family owned and family run, mom is in the back making the sauce it’s all in here. The Marinara is exquisite. I have never had a bad meal here or a bad time here. This time we ordered the calamari for an appetizer - Man was it soft pounded perfectly breaded perfectly and the marinara sauce deliciously went together very very well popped in your mouth flavors. The veal Limon was amazing perfectly pounded to the perfect width, breaded so lightly then pan fried - perfect flavor. the cream sauce and the capers just went very well together. The next thing is not on their online menu so beware that their menu has changed. I don’t know what to call it but it was a large noodle pasta with arugula lettuce and Finnell sausage and a white cream sauce - it was delicious!!!! I apologize for the photos - I took them after the fresh Parmesan grated cheese was added on top so it’s hard to see. But let me tell you the dish was flavorful and rich - it was freaking delicious. Love the atmosphere all old school male waiters only, cool bar quaint seating and tables. Outside parking is limited so come early because they don’t take reservations.

Yelp
The best kept secret from these NY Italians.. We were just invited to have dinner at Amalfi with some friends after living in Milton for 10 years. Cannot tell you how pleasantly surprised we were to find an old world Italian restaurant in Roswell. I would highly recommend to anyone in the Atlanta area looking for a real Italian meal.

Yelp
My family and I tried Amalfi Ristorante for the first time last night, and we'll definitely be back often. This a family-owned restaurant, which truly comes across in the service. Everyone, from the over, to the host, the bartender and the waitstaff were welcoming and friendly. Even before the meal was served, they ensured our experience was top notch. Now, to the food. We were kindly given complimentary bruschetta, which was delicious and greatly appreciated. We split both grouper dishes (amazing), and two different veal dishes (Parmesan and Scaolpini), both of which were fabulous. At the end of the night we allowed our arms to be twisted and ordered the tiramisu and some cannolis, and again, we enjoyed every bite. Before we left, the owner again came by to thank us for choosing their restaurant. It was so nice to have a wonderful meal at a place where everyone takes such pride in what they do.

Yelp
Our new favorite place! Can't believe we haven't found Amalfi in all these years. Super quaint, excellent service and great food.

Yelp
I have been here twice first time was two years ago and then I came back by myself recently just sat at the bar and it was a reminder of how delicious and authentic this food is I really wish that they did Uber Eats and I also wish they didn't open up at 5 o'clock cause sometimes at 1 o'clock I'm eating for that pasta. The food is delicious. The service is great And the best old-fashioned I've ever had.
google avatar

Yelp
By far, best Italian restaurant in Roswell. The food is delicious. My favorite is the Linguine alle Vongole (linguini with clams). Also, the wine selection is great and Sal, the owner, is very knowledgeable and accommodating to your personal preferences and likes. The ambiance is great for a dinner with a group of friends or a romantic date. I highly recommend Amalfi!!

Yelp
No reservation needed but this place gets packed! Got seated in 20 minutes. My first time and of course i got to try everything. Ordered the mussells, carpaccio, calamari for apps. As for entrees we ordered seafood pasta and chicken parmigiana. As for dessert the classic creme brulee.

Lesley C.

Yelp
Lovely experience and very kind owners. We need to come more often. Authentic, we will be back soon

Yelp
Celebrating a birthday-our first time here. Starting with Anna's Famous Calamari and Carpaccio di Manzo. Both were out of this world! The calamari was tender and flavorful and the Carpaccio was wafer thin, with the freshest arugula and shaved parmesan reggiano. Next my side was the Funghi Saltati in Padella A variety of mushrooms pan fried with garlic, E.V. Olive oil, and Anna's unique blend of fresh herbs, served with my entree Vitello Amalfi. Thin veal scaloppini, topped with fresh crab meat, spinach, and a melted fontina cheese. First time I've had this dish and it was very rich and succulent. My son had the Rigatoni Lorenzo - Rigatoni pasta served with sauteed arugula, garlic, and sliced sweet fennel sausage in a light cream sauce with a touch of crushed red pepper, and it was every bit as indulgent and tasty as my entree. We shared a dessert, panna cotta with a berry coulis. It was just the right dessert for a memorable meal. And the best part, the prices are reasonable for the quality meal you're receiving. One more thing, my vodka martini was a generous pour! We will be back. Thank you!

Yelp
Exceptional service on a Saturday eve by Jaimie. Nice atmosphere with dim candle lighting and a full bar. Great romantic dinner! Warm bread and Parmesan olive oil was served right away. Tried the veal Marsala and butternut squash with walnut and goat cheese. They do not take reservations and the place was full by 6pm.

Yelp
We went to celebrate our 25th Anniversary and we ordered the veal parmesan, the salmon and various appetizers that was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent. A little noisy but still a very nice restaurant.
google avatar

Andrea B.

Yelp
I was looking forward to trying this Italian restaurant because I heard great reviews from friends and saw the overall great reviews on yelp. I was disappointed in the food when we ate and wanted to write an honest opinion. I have to say their Espresso Martini was honestly delicious, best one I have ever had anywhere! For our 2 entrees we got the shrimp scampi and the bowtie creamy mushroom white wine pasta. Both entrees were lacking in seasoning and flavor The bowtie mushroom pasta's mushrooms were not cooked long enough and had an off putting taste. The sauce in this pasta dish lacked salt and honestly just flavor. The shrimp scampi sauce was very plain, while I tasted the white vino & garlic it was way too mild and bland. Our server even grated fresh cheese over both of ours, which we hoped would help but it didn't. I hate that we were let down and I'm not sure if it was just an off night or short staffing of the cooks, or maybe a new cook trainee cooking this food.

Yelp
I've been coming here since my husband Big Boy Bri Guy 7-8 years ago and we stumbled upon this place. We've been taking our grown up kids who party, here every time they visit. Best lasagna, wine, service, lemon drop martinis, espresso martinis, and minestrone soup in all of Georgia. Bruschetta is good too !! Sal is one of our favorite bartenders in all of Georgia as well. A real stand up guy along with the whole family who runs this amazing place. I got so drunk I dropped my fork but they quickly replaced it. Here we go
google avatar

Tara M.

Yelp
I got takeout and was absolutely not disappointed! I ordered the penne pasta, lasagna, mammoth meatballs, and a salad. The service and staff were amazing. The food was just out of this world!

Brenda P.

Yelp
The service was good, but she was obviously intimidated by her superiors, the chicken and sauce were overdone and not what we have experienced in the past (chicken Parmesan) very little cheese, especially mozzarella. Our son is a chef and he always says don't send anything back Mom. So, hence the review! To begin the evening Sal the bartender said I could only have two blue cheese olives with my dirty martini, when I asked for three, really! Not coming back and our husband likes it, oh well, Pricci it is I guess, sad to say bye
google avatar

Cathy P.

Yelp
Very wonderful Italian food! The marinara sauce was spectacular and the service was awesome. I had the Eggplant Parmesan and I ate every bite. My husband's linguini pescano was full of seafood: mussels, scallops, shrimp. My son enjoyed the lasagna bolognese. They only have Italian wines. and we prefer California reds. We also started with a salad but I don't find they were worth the money or had anything special about it. Next time I would forgo the salad and try an appetizer instead. The food was very comforting and filling. We'd go back.
google avatar

Ishara F.

Yelp
I really like the gnocchi here. The meatballs they make are tasty! The tiramisu is alright, but the panna cotta is soooo good.
google avatar

Brenda L.

Yelp
Love it there! Friday nights at the bar is a hoot! Love the servers and wait staff. Food is delicious!
google avatar

Michael S.

Yelp
The food is delicious! You can tell it's aa authentic sauce. Coming from the Northeast, it's a great way to get that homemade quality in Atlanta.

Lauren S.

Yelp
Omg .. I'm from nyc and been to Italy over 20 times The sauce was bland as can be The first sign should have been that the bread was some mush of a loaf and not a nice crusty bread Then the bartender, Sal, who I hope is not the owner attacked me verbally about politics He let some older men verbally cost me too awful experience Avoid

Jimmy B.

Yelp
Our group had catering from Amalfi's the other day, and the food was spectacular. We enjoyed lasagna and sausage and peppers, I LOVED the sausage and peppers but opted out of the lasagna, which everyone else was very very happy with. Can't wait to try the restaurant out in person!

Russell S.

Yelp
We enjoy coming here. Price to quality ratio is strong. Reason why we don't come more often is they were rude to our kids about 10'years ago. Goes to show how 1 experience can impact a customers' lifetime value. Even though we never experienced it again, us humans are run by our emotions, not logic.

Joe L.

Yelp
Great food. Excellent service. Reminds me of a few small Italian restaurants that I frequented when I lived in Manhattan. Also had a familiar ambiance...
google avatar

Chi C.

Yelp
I've only been here once, and I've never been to Italy so idk if it compares. It was delicious but also had the italia feel to it, Hey mambo!

Caleigh H.

Yelp
The Expresso Martini is fabulous!! The service is top notch. The food was wonderful!! We cannot wait to go back!
google avatar

Steffi M.

Yelp
Great mom and pop Italian! Get there early or you Will wait a while. Great calamari perfectly cooked and amazing marinara.

Heather H.

Yelp
I only went for a drink but the ambiance was authentic. The espresso martini was super good too!!! Will definitely be back to try their food.

Yelp
Located in a little strip mall with plenty of parking, Amalfi is as unassuming as it gets. I never would have known this place was here if it wasn't for the suggestion of a coworker! When I think of Roswell I only really consider the square (but full disclaimer I'm an ITPer) - so glad I found out about Amalfi. When I called ahead to make sure we'd be seated for dinner they just told me to "come on in!" as they don't take reservations. They also won't seat incomplete parties, just a heads up, but you can sit at the bar while you're waiting on folks to join you. The atmosphere was not at all what I expected for a strip mall Italian joint. On a Monday night it was absolutely packed with several large parties filling the space with chatter and laughter. It's unassuming but also a white tablecloth kind of place, if it's possible to be both at the same time! In addition to the bread-and-EVOO service we also split two apps: - Le Bruschette: four pieces of classic bruschetta, no complaints at all - Mozzarella in Carrozza: OK I'm not going to lie, I totally expected this to be like a brie wrapped in puff pastry thing, but it was basically a glorified grilled cheese (see pic). Don't get me wrong - it was freaking delicious! Absolutely recommend. Truly a hidden star on the menu! The three of us split dinners as well, and tried: - Gnocchi ($18): perfect, pillowy gnocchi in a ragu sauce that tastes like my mom's (but better - DON'T TELL HER OMG). This is a surefire way to treat yourself. - Melenzane alla Parmigiana ($17): look, if a restaurant says that their eggplant parm is "famous," I'm gonna order it - and this time, I'm so glad I did. You can't go wrong here. I'm absolutely going back. Winner.

Yelp
There are 1000 places to get decent Italian but if you want authentic deliious Italian this is the spot. Not fancy, Not jokey, just delicious food !!
google avatar

Jen L.

Yelp
This is my new favorite Italian restaurant in the area! I've been here a few times and the service and food were exceptional both times. All meals are served with bread and oil before the meal. Refills comes before having to ask which is great. The appetizers are delicious and the entrees are even better! This time, we started with the mozzarella caprese. They spilt the caprese in 2 separate plates for us $12. It was fresh and delicious! As an entree, I ordered the eggplant parmigiana which was one of the eggplant parms I've ever had. It had a perfect amount of eggplant, sauce, and cheese. I will definitely order it again! We even ordered dessert, the Bomba Exotica. Three flavors of sorbet wrapped in white chocolate was so good. This is a smaller restaurant so you should plan to get here early to avoid a wait. I can't wait to come back soon!

Tim T.

Yelp
Great food and service. Been coming here for years, never had a bad meal or service! Esp get the meatball or fennel sausage on the side!
google avatar

Cynthia F.

Yelp
Discovered this place quite by accident on a Monday evening when our first choice was closed. Carpaccio was excellent. Wine list is not overpriced. Gnocchis are my favorite locally hands down!!! The only drawback is they don't take reservations and sometimes we just don't feel like waiting 45 minutes outside for a table especially on special occasions
google avatar

Xiomara S.

Yelp
Quaint restaurant with delicious food. The portions are generous so you can share and try a couple of main entrees. Leave room for dessert .
google avatar

Tiana S.

Yelp
Just left from having a great dinner for Valentine's Day. Service was very good. Fast and very attentive. I had the shrimp scampi and usually I can't handle spice but this was perfect. My partner had eggplant parmigiana and that was delicious as well. Staff is super polite and totally in sync. Will be back for sure...

Debra T.

Yelp
Food was mediocre, too much breading on veal and side of spinach was good but not warm enough. Service was very good. Adjacent dining group was obnoxiously loud- couldn't even hear ourselves talk. Overall, not good enough for a return visit.

John A.

Yelp
I understand that this place is a stand-out in this area. In New York, or south-east Florida it would not be so.Though some dishes were delicious, there are several things that I was disappointed in.First- the BREAD. It was like Italian wonder bread !!!! Way too soft.Bread is essential to any Neapolitan meal. They should make their own rolls like many other Italian places. Second- I ordered Linguine with vongole ( fresh clams) . I asked the owner in English,AND Italian to please make the pasta Al Dente, stressing that I wait as long as it took. It was over cooked........ compromising the dish. In the owners native city, Napoli, this would never happen. If this is the best Italian food in the area, then I guess I will be cooking at home very often
google avatar

Cali R.

Yelp
It was delicious from start to finish. The attention was amazing. (Luigi) did a fantastic job in making our kids part of the amazing meal we had, and making all of us (party of 10) feel right at home... were Italian food and great service is provided Every plate we had, every appetizer and drink was absolutely delicious. We had so much fun and had such a great meal, I forgot to take pictures. My girls didn't even ask for a phone to be entertained during the meal! We had, the special: ravioli filled with portobello mushrooms in Gorgonzola sauce , also the ricotta spinach agnolotti, amatriaciana penne pasta, bolognese lasagna, a pasta with arugula and fennel sausage (amazing), and pasta with shrimp... not a bit left in sight and they were huge portions! Lemon drop cocktail divine Really good wine Tiramisú spectacular and chocolate mousse cake wow! The only bad thing: they didn't have the creme brûlée we really wanted to try or the panacotta... We had a few other things but this will give you an idea of what they offer and how good it was. We had such a good time I didn't even remember to take out my phone for a picture. We will be going back.

Rob K.

Yelp
One of the most consistent restaurants in Roswell. They are busy 6 days a week and for good reasons. Great bar staff - Salvatore, great wait staff and consistently great food. Can't say enough about this classic Italian style restaurant... Eggplant Parm was delicious!

Liz C.

Yelp
Went here for my birthday this past weekend with my family of 5 and was very disappointed,. First of all, they claimed this Amalfi on here, as their own and someone needs to update their menu because the prices are way off of the menu that you get at the restaurant! About $10. off per certain items. I got the veal dish with prosciutto and gorgonzola sauce. It not only was 1 veal cutlet pounded to death, so thin with 1 slice of prosciutto and a tasteless sauce, $29.00. I went home and cooked more food! I was starving......and the waiter had a face on him that was not pleasant, for the entire night, like he was doing us a favor with his presence!!!
google avatar

Shana G.

Yelp
I am shocked at how long this place has been open. The server was rude, the food was horrible, and my friend got food poisoning. They denied our request to taste a wine before ordering a glass. The bread was like something you would buy packaged at Aldi, and the dipping olive oil was bitter. The start was a good indication that the rest of the meal would be mediocre at best. I ordered the shrimp scampi linguini, and the shrimp were cold in the middle, and the pasta was tasteless and swimming in a watery broth. It basically tasted like boiled pasta rinsed with water. As an Italian woman, many things did not properly represent a real Italian meal. My friend ordered the veal piccata and was up sick all night. We both decided before we left that we would not return, but after the food poisoning issue, it has now been confirmed.

Bob G.

Yelp
I know they have been open for decades, but Friday night was our first visit and what great time we had. My buddy and I sat at the bar and had a very enjoyable meal. It's nice to find a relaxed neighborhood place still in existence. We will certainly be back.
google avatar

Jessica S.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed at an Airbnb right across the street (which was equally amazing) and Amalfi came highly recommended by our host couple. I'm so glad we stopped in. Located in a strip mall, it doesn't look super promising from the outside but once inside it takes on the charm that many authentic Italian restaurants do. Low lit, romantic Italian music, yummy food, clinking wine glasses. We started off with Anna's Famous Calamari Luciana. Lightly fried and sautéed with bell peppers, onions, and Anna's special sauce. Delicious! My husband ordered the vitello al limone - veal scaloppini sautéed in white wine, lemon, and capers. He is picky about his pasta. He likes uncomplicated, simple dishes and was pleased. I opted for the fettucine alla boscaiola made with ham and mushrooms in a fresh tomato sauce with a light touch of cream. This was so good! So so good. The sauce was perfect, just a touch of sweetness, not overly acidic. I wasn't super hungry when we went, which was a huge bummer, and I took it back to our Airbnb but ended up wasting most of it. Don't make the same mistake. GO HUNGRY! Go to Amalfi's.
google avatar

Kelly K.

Yelp
Charming family restaurant with delicious food. The wife is the saucier, the son is the pastry chef, etc! Everything we had was amazing (Anna's Meatball, spinach and ricotta ravioli, fettuccine with ham and mushrooms, eggplant parmesan, cannoli, ricotta cheesecake, tiramisu). My glass of wine was a very generous pour and the portions were large. We visited in the evening, and they had put extra tables in the parking lot to extend outdoor seating. Will definitely be back.

Tina K.

Yelp
Food was great, service was good. Tasted like real home cooked Italian dishes. Sucks they don't do reservations though.
google avatar

Madison J.

Yelp
Honestly was extremely disappointed with this place. I moved to Roswell a little over a year ago and kept meaning to try Amalfi. Finally went tonight and it was an extreme waist of a date night. The food was mediocre at best with hardly any flavor and pasta that was just flat out over cooked. The fried mozzarella was basically a fried grilled cheese at best. The bread was 2 cold hoagies and 0 flavor olive oil to dip in. I can honestly say I've had better Italian at Olive Garden over this place. Unfortunately we won't be back.
google avatar

Denise d.

Yelp
Our new favorite spot, we eat there almost once a week if we can. We love sitting at the bar and getting the extra attention from Sal! It's warm, cozy, friendly, food is DELICIOUS, can't get better than that. We love it. Meatballs are Amazing, Spicy Mussels insane.
google avatar

Krishna C.

Yelp
I did not want to do this but unfortunately I have to. I cannot understand why and how this place has such high reviews. We live in the area and have put off trying the italian food here for years. Finally we made it a date night to visit here on a weeknight. Upon entering, the host/owner/server greeted us and sat us in the dining room that was on the left side of the restaurant. That room was mostly full, with what looked like regular patrons, so that was a positive sign. Once seated, we were served bread and olive oil. At the first bite, I noticed the olive oil was tasty and funky, in a bad way. We immediately stopped eating the on the house bread. I couldn't believe seeing other patrons continue eating their bread and olive oil. For drinks, we ordered wine by the bottle. At first glance on the menu, my partner ordered a Italian Red and when our server brought it out, it was the correct red however the year listed on the bottle did not match the menu. Usually that isn't a big deal for us however why list a year on the wine menu list if it doesn't coordinate with the bottles you carry? Our server explained the menu needed to be updated. We ordered another bottle of red and thought it was fine. For appetizer we ordered a meatball, from yelp recommendations, and for dinner we ordered the homemade gnocchi to share. Unfortunately neither of those were good. The meatball was dry and lacked any flavor (of herbs, garlic, onions). The gnocchi was also bland and cooked with a tomato sauce that tasted like it was from a jar. We struggled getting through this dinner and finding anything good in the meal. From dinner experience, we didn't bother ordering dessert. I am sad this place doesn't have better food because I'd visit it often if it did. Parking is available in the small shopping center lot the restaurant is located in. There are plenty of spots and I have never seen the lot completely full.

Stephen B.

Yelp
Food was solid, especially the bolognese. Service was a little gruff. Menu included several Italian staples and other intriguing dishes. I like the ambiance inside. Plenty of privacy for the tables, but a lively dining atmosphere. It comes off as a quality and authentic Italian place you might find in the northeast. I was very impressed.

Diego R.

Yelp
Bravissimo!!! The best Italian food I've had ever since I moved to Atlanta almost 10 years ago.
google avatar

Clayton S.

Yelp
This spot has a very quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Perfect for a date night. We were invited in and sat quickly. Served water and complimentary bread right away. The cocktails were full of character and eye appealing. The food was great as well. We split and eggplant parm. There was a $5 up charge for each guest to get their own side if you were splitting a plate which was perfect for us. Will be coming back to try more dishes!!!!
