Yelp
I did not want to do this but unfortunately I have to. I cannot understand why and how this place has such high reviews. We live in the area and have put off trying the italian food here for years. Finally we made it a date night to visit here on a weeknight. Upon entering, the host/owner/server greeted us and sat us in the dining room that was on the left side of the restaurant. That room was mostly full, with what looked like regular patrons, so that was a positive sign. Once seated, we were served bread and olive oil. At the first bite, I noticed the olive oil was tasty and funky, in a bad way. We immediately stopped eating the on the house bread. I couldn't believe seeing other patrons continue eating their bread and olive oil.
For drinks, we ordered wine by the bottle. At first glance on the menu, my partner ordered a Italian Red and when our server brought it out, it was the correct red however the year listed on the bottle did not match the menu. Usually that isn't a big deal for us however why list a year on the wine menu list if it doesn't coordinate with the bottles you carry? Our server explained the menu needed to be updated. We ordered another bottle of red and thought it was fine.
For appetizer we ordered a meatball, from yelp recommendations, and for dinner we ordered the homemade gnocchi to share. Unfortunately neither of those were good. The meatball was dry and lacked any flavor (of herbs, garlic, onions). The gnocchi was also bland and cooked with a tomato sauce that tasted like it was from a jar. We struggled getting through this dinner and finding anything good in the meal.
From dinner experience, we didn't bother ordering dessert. I am sad this place doesn't have better food because I'd visit it often if it did.
Parking is available in the small shopping center lot the restaurant is located in. There are plenty of spots and I have never seen the lot completely full.
