Amalfi’s is a welcoming neighborhood restaurant offering very good food in a warm, comfortable atmosphere. The dining room is inviting without being pretentious, making it an easy choice for a relaxed evening out. With an average cost of about $35–$40 per person, the pricing feels reasonable for the quality of the meal and overall experience. While the food and ambiance were enjoyable, the service was somewhat inconsistent. Our waiter was polite but fairly disengaged. There was no introduction or mention of his name, and after taking our order, he was largely absent. Our meals were delivered by another staff member, and there was little interaction throughout the remainder of the meal. What truly elevated the evening, however, was Odin who was responsible for clearing the tables. He checked in with us multiple times to see if anything needed to be cleared and made a point to wish us a continued enjoyable experience. His attentiveness, professionalism, and genuine warmth stood out and left a lasting impression. He embodied the kind of service that makes guests feel welcomed and valued. Overall, Amalfi’s delivers where it matters most with its food and atmosphere. With more consistent engagement from waitstaff, the dining experience could be exceptional. It’s a solid choice in Lawrenceville and one we would gladly return to.

Came here for Thanksgiving Eve & had a great time! Atmosphere is very cozy & inviting, tables were spaced apart nicely so it didn’t feel like you were on top of other folks. We tried the Brussels sprouts as an app & it was fantastic! Their cocktails were delicious as well, bit of an older crowd but def a nice place that I look forward to stopping at again!

The pizza was wonderful, served right at our table with fresh mozzarella and ripe, flavorful tomatoes. The bread was also excellent and complemented the meal perfectly. Everything felt fresh and thoughtfully prepared, making it a truly enjoyable dining experience.

Top notch place. I don’t go often, but I should! Impressed once again. Consistent, excellent meals. Wonderful service and support staff. Andres was our server and Odin is a pleasure! Amazing food, nice portions, more than fair price points, no matter if you go for lunch or dinner. A well executed restaurant that I am more than comfortable choosing to spend my hard earned money at.

This is a very good restaurant. Good food. Nice decor and well spaced out seating. Excellent service. Manuel was our waiter and he was great. Very responsive and personable. Only issue is they need better/more parking. People parking up and down the street and into neighborhoods is kinda rough. Otherwise, I'll definitely go back soon.

The best pistachio cheesecake ever 🤤 so light and tasty. Inside it’s a bit loud but the atmosphere is very nice and cozy.

Server started off strong, but then disappeared for what seemed like long stretches of time, still, he checked back after each course, and was very personable and knowledgeable about the menu. Food was very good, prepred well, served hot, and nicely presented.

Located at the epicenter where Lawrenceville,Pennington & Ewing meet, along an otherwise unassuming stretch of Lawrenceville Pennington Road you'll find this local sleeping giant by day that's buzzing in the evening. Amalfi's huge menu is as packed with options (try the rigatoni with vodka sauce)as well as daily specials as the hungry patrons you're likely to find filling the tables of the dining area which includes seating at the ample bar and its high tops. Service was friendly and efficient (thank you, Max) Save room for dessert. Ample parking on site can still fill up in the evening so plan on arriving early. 🤌🏻

Was here with a large-ish group (8, including 4 kids). Everyone enjoyed it. They have a lot of fun spins on italian food (such as chicken parm egg rolls, which we got and were good) Very good place for families, as there's a good kids menu too. Would definitely be back.

Food: spaghetti primavera, lobster ravioli, bolognese. The bruschetta and primavera was no longer on the menu but they were kind enough to make me a vegetable primavera with tomato sauce, mushrooms, spinach, green peas and broccoli. It was a generous portion and really delicious. They also give you complimentary bread and thyme dipping oil. Service: above and beyond for making me a pasta that's not on the menu! Ambiance: bustling bar area and booths. Also have outdoor patio seating. If we are back in the area we'll definitely be back!

This one got by me.... We brought my uncle here Memorial Day weekend last year, and I've got the photos to prove it. We chose this restaurant based on a local who felt they had improved a lot from years ago. I may have been here before but the fog of time does not allow me to recall. But a few months removed I do recall a very nice experience the 4 of us had. We sat outside on a warm spring Saturday and enjoyed well prepared if not well served fare. We chalked the poor service up to the holiday weekend, but even so, business was slow so it really could have been better. But when not in a hurry, these things can be overlooked occasionally. I had to try a pie, the personal size Margherita with garlic was perfect. Crispy crust that held steady when hoisted. robust sauce and plenty of fresh mozzarella. My cousins both got huge entree salads that looked great, fog again here..., and my uncle a pasta dish that he enjoyed and had 2 more meals from. I finished with my fav chicken sand of the year. Very good brioche roll, nicely fried chicken breast with well thought out toppings and very good fries. We all agreed that we would come back, and the person who recommended this has been and to similar good experiences. I had just recommended this to a coworker when I noticed that I forgot to post a review last year. I hear there is music on the weekends too, sadly NOT byob though. Even so, I'll return...

Hands down one of the best Pizza pies I've had in NJ since moving her from NY 11 years ago. Great crust, quality sauce and cheese, as well as toppings (cup pepperoni with fresh garlic was my favorite). Their Italian rub wings were also standout, along with the Italian chicken quesadillas.

Husband and I went for date night and we really enjoyed our meal! We got calamari, chicken tartufo, eggplant parm, and the truffle fries. Everything was cooked perfectly and was very flavorful! The staff was friendly & accommodating.

Thank you so much for an amazing Sunday Supper with my family. My good friend Gabriella gave me a generous gift card, so I decided to treat for a nice meal! My sister was in from California and we just put several days in working on our childhood home. This meal was just what the doctor ordered! Fresh, delicious and made with love. Ordered a side of Caesar salad which was good. The salmon was okay, came with a tiny amount of mashed potatoes, and spinach. Overall, it was quite pricey for lunchtime. Mistakenly ordered the dinner size, salmon at lunch. The waiter brought a lunch size portion instead, but we were charged for a dinner plate. I would choose a different restaurant for seafood next time.

came here for a lunch date! Calamari was so good! they also served us bread with oil which was mouth watering! I got the children alfredo, it was alright.. nothing too special felt like it was missing something! My boyfriend got the mike roni but as a calzone, it was HUGE but he loved it! Our bartender sandy was top tier, she was so nice enough to let us switch from bar to a booth and continued to serve us from there! Great place, would love to try other things as well. Will be back! :)

I would say okay at best. We came here on a Friday night, it was a busy but not full. We came to have drinks and appetizers and our server seemed to have a tables all over the place. The server was very polite and friendly. We ordered meatballs, pasta Bolognese, chicken quesadilla, calamari, mozzarella sticks, egg rolls, margarita pizza and wings. So I would say this was a large span of their menu. The food was just okay, nothing really stood out as great, which is a shame. We expected more because it looks like a mom and pop place. We also ordered a variety of drinks including their seasonal sangria (the Fall sangria was the worst), dragonfruit mule and margaritas. I don't know who was bartending that night but the only drink that was good was the margarita and it still had a slight taste of something else. Overall, I didn't love it here, maybe it was an off night? The other reviews seem to be all over the place, so may give it another try to confirm.

I just had the most memorable meal in recent history at Amalfi's in Lawrenceville! The Stuffed Chicken Breast over Spaghetti Puttanesca was absolutely a sumptuous, perfectly prepared entree, a GOLD MEDAL WINNER! You MUST TRY this amazing meal. Staff and food were satisfactory. Prices for lunch were average. Only problem was out of a party of 6 I was informed my meal was burned so the waiter asked for it to be remade. My complaint is while the rest of my party was completing lunch my order was just coming out. I was surprised when the bill arrived that no compensation was offered. Especially today it's not just about the food quality it's also about the service. I'm on the fence if I'll ever spend my money there again.

We have been hearing about this place from listening to 101.5 for months. We went for lunch and I'm sorry to say we were disappointed. Asked the server if the eggplant parm was thin and the server said yes, on the thin side. Came out and it was, in my opinion, thicker than I've ever had it. Bread wasn't served as well, but we did see it on another table when we were leaving? Meatball appetizer was just ok. My husband had the street corn pasta and was not impressed. Tails left on the 3 shrimp and not lots of flavor. To boot, the server never came over after dropping dishes off to check to see how things were. I guess our expectations were way too high.

Food was delicious, the service was great and we ate outside on a nice warm night in April.

This place was awesome. Came here last night, table of 9 adults and young kids. Service was great. Food was phenomenal. The bread, the pizzas, the pasta...we really loved it. Also, atmosphere in general was welcoming and a nice size. Would highly recommend. Vodka pasta was my personal fave of the night.

We enjoyed the food and our experience at Amalfi. We stopped by for a quick lunch. Once we walked in, the host was really welcoming. We communicated that we were in a bit of a rush and the host, wait staff, and kitchen staff were very accommodating. We ordered two entrees for take-out and an order of meatballs to share while we waited. My husband and son enjoyed the meatballs and I enjoyed the bread and sauce the meatballs were served with. I ordered the risotto and it was light and simple. My husband and son shared a burger - they enjoyed it. The restaurant is spacious- it was probably the busiest restaurant we have been to in the area on a weekday (a great sign!). There's also a cute patio for sunny days.

I am shocked that this restaurant does not have 5 starts or close. A group of 5 of us came on a busy Friday night and were able to be seated right away. Our server was attentive and quick to bring us drinks and appetizers. The eggplant rollatini to start was great to share for two, and each pasta entree also came with a soup. We all got the Italian wedding which was also delicious. I ordered the Vodka Rigatoni, and the sauce was amazing. Almost everyone at my table ordered a dish with a different sauce, vodka, marinara, cacio e pepe, and they were all so flavorful. I would highly recommend- I wish I lived closer!

This is a solid meal and very reasonably priced. We had an event this past weekend in their adorable back room which was adorned with Holiday decor very tastefully . The service of our very demanding family was impeccable!! Is the food the BEST italian food ever, no. It is pretty good.. yes what makes it is the staff and the accommodating nature . The event planning is EASY peasy. They're family operated and they dont put in these stupid contracts. We had a couple cancels the last minute and Luigi was like yeah sure no problem he didnt charge us like most Italian s would. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

First time here, and was very impressed with the plentiful parking, the indoor and outdoor decor, the expansive menu, the responsiveness of our servers, and the food quality -- there was something for everyone! Only wish there was a location closer to us (Metuchen)! Highly recommended for couples, families and group dining.

If I could, I would have given them no stars. Almalfi's ruined Mother's Day. I placed and order on Thursday to pick up today. They called at 11:50 to say they were doing a Mother's Day brunch and didn't have the room to make our order, really. So they didn't know that when the order was placed. So unprofessional and obviously not concerned with their patrons. I will never give them any of my business. I will also make sure everyone I know does the same. Who runs a business like this? 5/26/23 Update, automated response. I have not been contacted by anyone from Amalfi's. I really didn't expect to be contacted.

Ordered a large traditional pie based off the menu photo, received completely different style pie instead. The total was $18 and charge, not a good value considering the pizza is mediocre, heavy and floppy. Very disappointed considering I expected the complete opposite style pizza and justified the price based upon that. Unfortunately due to this, I will not be a returning customer

Dining at Amalfi's is always a pleasant and nice experience! The staff is very professional and accommodating! The food is excellent and their drinks never disappoint! Recently we had a First Holy Communion party and it was wonderful! They offer indoor and outdoor settings for your gatherings! One thing I loved is that we were able to make this a buffet with not a big price increase to our party! If you are looking to bring friends and family here I highly recommend it! They have a beautiful new outside eating area which is perfect for those spring, summer and early fall dinner get togethers!

The service was amazing. The food was great and came out fast. We ate on the patio which had a nice ambiance. Highly recommend.

This establishment has many advantages. good food , lots of space, amazing bar service from Jess. BUT. the wait staff....too young, too green , too inexperienced. Michael for example, Matt, totally indifferent.

I've been to Amalfi's twice now for dinner. Both times to very mixed experiences. Food: Our first time here was over the summer and the food was terrible. Our pizzas came out cold and the chicken entree lacked flavor. Fast forward to this past weekend and there was a clear improvement in the quality and taste of food. I think the menu was even different. And, the complimentary bread and oil was nice. Service: There's just something off here about service. Either we've had new staff both times or just lack of training. The first time our service was horrendous. Our waitress seemed very overwhelmed and it was even hard to get water refilled. Our food for dinner came out 45 minutes apart. I'm not sure if our entire order was not entered or if there was a mix up in the kitchen. But, its unacceptable. This past visit was a little better, but our waitress went missing for an extended period of time when we were trying to pay our bill. And they don't separate checks.

Words can't say enough! So if your a dog parent you know at times it's hard to sometimes go out with your fur baby that places are not accommodating! Well! For lunch I found the most amazing beautiful place that was so accommodating beyond! The food was also amazing so now this is one of my new spots! Thank you to the owner Dario and the amazing waitress Grace who brought out water without me asking! The bartender Matt who came out to know what I liked ! Omg service, service, service! And honestly the food was so amazing so much homemade Italian style! Thank you so much Amalfi's Kitchen & Bar Food was so good I couldn't take a pic cause I ate it!

We order from Amalfi's almost every week and are never disappointed. Their specialty pizzas, like the chicken bacon ranch, are super good. Last night my husband and I went and I got the chicken tartufo. It was the tastiest, most comforting meal I've had in ages. The chicken was juicy and tender, the truffle oil added amazing flavor and the asparagus was crispy and delicious. Just thinking about it has me wanting another plateful. I also had their dragon berry mule which was so good I had a second one.

We were there on Sunday after a soccer tournament at Notre Dame high School and we decided to get a quick bite to eat I have to say service was great food was great definitely stopping down there again with my family and team.

Edible and I left full-ish, not a raving review. So they are still a good local hang out and bar with beer prices comparable to most other places. Service was friendly and attentive, no complaints there but I have to say I was pretty disappointed in our dinner tonight. I'll leave some room for COVID economy. The only thing that exceeded expectations was the Cesar salad, $12 and piled high enough for 4 people to have a side salad portion. A visit with a pepper mill would have been a nice touch though. Pizzas, margarita & garden, were sub par to ok and really small for $15 each. Hard to swallow when I can make a better 16" pie for $3 at home. Topping off our visit and worst of all was the tiramisu, no more than 3-4 oz in an 6-8 oz champagne glass dried and crusty on top. It was a bit of a disappointment for our friend's birthday. Yeah not planning on a return any time soon, at least not for dinner....

Today we celebrated my daughter's baby shower. The food was fantastic. The service even better. Luigi was super accommodating, hands on, and made the experience seamless and easy. I would recommend Amalfi's to anyone!

Absolutely unprofessional. Delivery order cancelled with no notice b/c delivery was "out of their zone" of 6 miles. I'm 6.9 miles away and they've delivered here twice before. No concern shown when called in. Go anywhere else.

We were really looking forward to trying this place out, but unfortunately they got our entire order wrong and what we did receive was cold. When we called up we had a real hard time trying to get the person on the other end of the phone to understand and take responsibility for their mistake. Not a good experience at all so we will not be going back.

Solid choice for a weekend dinner. Short ribs are beyond compare! Check it out soonest.

A local medical group kindly gave us a $50 gift certificate/voucher to Amalfi for utilizing their services. Nice enough! We took the drive to Lawrence NJ to have a nice lunch, only to be told it could only be used for takeout orders. (None of which was stated on the certificate - but actually, a sudden change by management). Since we made the long drive we sat at a booth and ordered two personal pizzas and couple of cokes. Our $50 gift turned into a $60 out of pocket lunch. Boo-hoo! A nice enough looking place. Pizza was just okay, service spotty. They won't see me again.

It's a nice place for good Italian food. Service was very quick, in fact a bit too quick to the point we felt a little rushed. Otherwise, a great atmosphere, friendly staff, and reasonable prices.

almalfi's has done it again. great food and excellent service. Today they had an Easter special. it was so delicious. If you haven't been here, you gotta go.

this place is wonderful! the menu is large and has many options to choose from. the pizzas are easy to share with one or two other people. the portions are great and the pastas r delicious. the staff is super nice and food comes out relatively quick. i sat once inside and once outside. the inside was gorgeous, colder and darker. the outside was decorated beautifully and when it's nice out i highly recommend taking advantage of that space. all in all i highly recommend coming here to experience the beautiful ambiance and wonderful food.

How do you turn a five star review into a solitary one? Easy, implement a 4% surcharge on credit card purchases. Why not just raise prices by the same amount instead of sending our waiter to sheepishly inform us of the policy as he's presenting the bill. Somehow, the excellent food becomes entirely beside the point. One star.

I can't say enough good things about Luigi and his crew. We have had events there several times and the service, food and space are all excellent! Highly recommend.

Atmosphere is great. Lots of space to spread out. Good for groups. Fun neighborhood bar feeling. Lots of high quality TVs. Food was underwhelming. Nothing was fresh, peaches and beets were from a jar or a pouch. Looked good, but no flavor. Discount on the bill if you pay cash... but who has that kind of cash????

I recently chose Amalfi's Kitchen & Bar for a class reunion, and they were great. I worked with Luigi and he made the whole process easy and enjoyable. At the end of the event the feedback from the guests was so positive. The room was nice and comfortable, the food was delicious and plentiful and the service was outstanding and done with a smile. I know from past experience what a great restaurant Amalfi's is, and now I am happy to recommend their banquet facility to all. I will be doing my next dinner there. My thanks to Luigi and the great staff of Amalfi's!

I found Amalfi's while living closely with my three young kids. It quickly became our family restaurant for special occasions as the wait staff was so kind to my kids and the food was fabulous. My kids are now 18, 20 and 22 and Amalfi's still serves as the "go to" place for our last-minute gatherings AND our special occasion family meals. The management and staff are kind and competent and our food choices never disappoint. Amalfi's is always a great choice!

Went with our two young kids tonight and had a really nice time. Great atmosphere. The service was fantastic, we felt like family and it was our first time there. Seemed like the owner(s) were walking around, making conversation, and making everyone feel welcomed. The food was excellent. My husband had the calamari app and short rib pasta while I had the margherita pizza. It was all delicious. We will definitely be back.

This is a Lawrenceville establishment with full bar, outdoor seating and tvs for sporting events. Nice friendly service. Kids menu 7-8 options with grilled cheese and each dish comes with a mountain of fries. Cheeseburger ok, has a bit of the frozen patty feel to it, so nothing spectacular. Pear and prosciutto salad with balsamic vinegarette and grilled chicken (or other proteins) large portion, good ingredients. Old fashioned and many other cocktails.

My daughter and I came in for dinner a few nights ago. It was a gorgeous night so we decided to sit outside. I Love how they have lights outside under the tents its perfect lightening. The Server was named Mo. He was so polite and very attending definitely give him a 5 star for his service. Mo brought us some fresh bread with seasoned oil. The bread was so warm and very fresh my daughter dove right in. My daughter ordered the Salmon entrée which came with a salad. She is a Caesar salad fan so she upgraded. The salad was so fresh and crisp and not overloaded with salad dressing. The croutons seemed as if they were homemade which makes it even better. Her Salmon was cooked to perfection. She usually doesn't eat zucchini but she ate all her veggies. She stated they had a great taste and wasn't salty at all. The entrée was topped with a soy-honey glaze which was just enough not over powering the Salmon flavor. She was satisfied with her choice. I ordered antipasto which I requested to have chopped and dressing on the side. The spring mix was fresh. There was plenty of meat, cheese, olives and etc. I just wasn't all lettuce which is a good thing. I requested to have balsamic dressing. The dressing was not to sweet and had wonderful delightful taste. Also, we ordered a bacon chicken ranch pizza. The pizza dough was cooked just right. I like a little crunch and it was just enough. There was plenty of bacon, and chicken they do not skimp on toppings, and topped off with ranch. Just enough!! Their was a great selection of deserts but we were way to full. "next time definitely" The menu has so many options of dinners, pastas, sandwiches, salads, and some great choices of appetizers you wont leave hungry. Management Luigi and also Dario stopped by my table and asked how dinner was which is a PLUS for me its great that they like to check in on there guests and make sure everything is good. Overall it was a great dinner. I will definitely return to Amalfi's.

Enjoyable Saturday lunch experience. Sat on the patio and was well served by our waitress. The Amafi sandwich was tasty. All my fellow diners reported that their meals were delicious ( personal pizza, fried chicken sandwich, Mediterranean salad). Excellent drink menu. My daughter lives in the area so we'll be back.

Definitely made some changes for the better. Enjoyed my recent experience there. Service was very good. More staff on hand. The pizza selections have an artisan slant to them and that uniqueness will bring me back. Good bar and beer selection.

Recently, I was looking for a place to hold a semi small Celebration of Life luncheon for my parter. After checking quite a few places, Amalfis was recommended. I went to check out the space and I spoke with Luigi who was super helpful and explained all that they could provide to host this event for us. I can't praise them enough for all their hard work in accommodating all 60 of us!! The food was excellent and every staff member was super helpful and pleasant! It was so wonderful to deal with them. Thanks for making our little celebration extra special. Highly recommend!!

We just had our christmas lunch delivered by amalfis, everything was good except for a tray of scalloped potatoes (they were inedible and not cooked) for a cost of $45 they should have been cooked. I would order again but not the potatoes!!
