Aman Tokyo Arva Italian Restaurant

I was here for a work function and we were a large group of 8, despite the restaurant being empty I was surprised that we only had one waiter attend to our group (at the dessert course one more waiter appeared). We had to leave our coats on a sofa next to the table. A restaurant and hotel of that calibre I was expecting to have our coats hung up in a separate coat area. We ordered the 4 course and drink menu. The food was not up to par compared to other restaurants at the same level. I would not describe the dishes as Italian food, rather as Japanese food inspired by Italian style cuisine. I would not recommend this experience to others.

I was a bit nervous going in due to the mixed reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is set in a stunning space with beautiful architecture and design—it definitely has an upscale feel. Most guests were dressed for the occasion, which added to the overall experience. We ordered a range of dishes, including antipasti, salads, several pastas, and the Wagyu T-bone Florentine. Everything was fresh and flavorful. While I wouldn’t say it was the best Italian food I’ve ever had, it was good and well-prepared. The wine selection is impressive, and the service was attentive and professional.

We had such a wonderful lunch here. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was incredibly professional, with staff who made us feel well taken care of from start to finish. On top of that, the view was simply stunning, which made the whole experience even more memorable.

We were honestly a bit let down by our experience at Arva. It cost over 40k JPY yen, which you’d expect to come with something pretty special, but the food was just… average in our opinion. Every course was fine, but nothing stood out or felt memorable at all. The one thing we did enjoy was the setting. The restaurant’s really spacious, quiet, and the view makes it feel quite romantic. Plus, the staff were friendly and polite. But overall, for the price, it just didn’t deliver. If it were half the cost, maybe it’d feel fair. As it stands, 👘WE wouldn’t recommend it. 👘 There are much better dining experiences in Tokyo for that kind of money.

Was concerned that we would be disappointed, given the mixed reviews. We were glad we went anyway. Their Cacio e pepe was the best I have ever had and the Ricci Di Mare was awesome. The Insalata di Castelfranco was good. Their porcini mushroom amuse bouche was to die for and their Tiramisu was great! Wine list was extensive and the Riesling we ordered was superb. Service was top notch. The place was breathtaking. So was the price; although that was to be expected.

Everything is perfect from beginning to the end. The whole vibe is amazing. The season menu is great. Highly recommended to do wine pairing if you like wine and sake. All the wines are great and nice pairing with dishes. Servers are knowledgeable about wine and give me some interesting information while serving.

Such a delightful experience! We booked it last minute and was blown away by the food and service. The tiramisu is truly the best I've ever had - a must have! Their pastas were amazing as well. The mushroom crepe pasta was really unique, haven't had that anywhere else. Definitely a great take on the Italian cuisine but made more palatable to Asian taste. I'll remember to come back next time

An authentic and traditional cuisine, revisited to perfection. Arva's chefs pay homage to the classics and flavor combinations of Italian cuisine and local Japanese products. An incredible culinary experience.
