A beautiful Gem in Harare As we celebrate Christmas on the 24th in Sweden we decided to try Amanzi as it had good reviews online. We were staying at the other end of town so the taxi drive there felt like we were leaving town. On arrival you enter the beautiful grounds lush and green. The restaurant itself is both beautiful and inviting. Our host, Tiffany, welcomed us warmly and guided us to our table, which was elegantly styled and dimly lit. We started with the wine list and cocktail menu, opting for their Dry Martini. Often a hit-or-miss, these martinis were crafted to perfection. We chose a bottle of South African Shiraz Celestial to accompany our meal, which included Slow Cooked Lamb Shoulder and Confit Duck Leg. Both dishes were exquisitely presented and cooked to perfection. The duck, in particular, was the best we’ve ever had. For dessert, we indulged in Sticky Toffee Pudding. While delicious, the cream served alongside tasted slightly off. Despite this minor flaw, our experience was overwhelmingly positive. In conclusion, we highly recommend Amanzi for a sophisticated night out. We look forward to returning for lunch to enjoy the beautiful grounds in daylight.

The staff were wonderful, and the grounds felt very safe. I rated the rooms four stars because I saw a gecko in my bathroom, and experienced power outages once during my ten-night stay, without backup lighting for nighttime bathroom trips. I slept with my phone's flashlight on, due to concerns about the gecko and the darkness. If you are sensitive to noise, I would suggest avoiding a room near the pond, as the frogs are quite vocal at night. The dining staff were exceptional; Terrence, in particular, provided excellent service during my breakfasts. I highly recommend this location, though I would personally choose a room further from the pond.

Came here for a beauty treatment on a Saturday. Booking is essential. The deep tissue massage is worth the price and the environment is peaceful. Definitely will come back to try their other treatments.

Top notch stay, especially the restaurant where the staff are impeccable. 'Serve from the left, clear from the right' etc.|We stayed 5 nights. Only quibble is it would have nice to have had a bit more variety in the daily menu.|Two things to watch - a) if you want to play tennis, bring your own gear. The rackets and balls have seen better days b) if you need a driver try to organise at least the day before. We got stuck on a Sunday with no one available.

If you are staying in Harare this is the place. The whole place is a museum of treasurers from different places in Africa. The vibe is 🔥.

We arrived at the Harare Airport and called for a ride to the lodge. George picked us up and gave great conversation about the area, food, shopping on our way to the lodge. We got to the lodge in the morning and check in is at 2:00 pm. They suggested we eat at the lodge’s restaurant and advised they would take our bags to our room once the room was ready. The breakfast was great. Albert was our waiter and took great care of us.the atmosphere was amazing and the weather made it very comfortable to eat outside.

Great environment that makes you feel like you're not in Harare. The restaurant is top notch with amazing menu and great tasting food. The room we were in was perfect and complimentary bar had enough drinks for our stay. Great experience, would love to return.

Excellent service as always. We arrived late, and after the kitchen closed, but George was thoughtful enough to have a sandwich and beverage waiting in the rooms for us. Very much appreciated! We will be back again.
