Google
I had an amazing and knowledgeable experience. This was a wonderful museum. Great collection of gray sand stone sculptures.

This is a nice little museum and it is free admission! They have quite a collection of sculptures and statues from Southeast Asia. I wouldn't have expected that from such a small museum. It was pretty neat though! Aside from that, the rest of the museum still had a decent variety for how small it was. I spent about an hour here, but you could get through faster. I was the only person there too, which was surprising. Overall, worth a stop in my opinion.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. The collections provide a good mix of media and style. The Asian collection was very impressive. I am so glad I stumbled upon a mention of this museum and was able to visit. The staff were very friendly and helpful!

It’s a quick tour of 30-45 mins, has 2 levels. It’s for free. There are ample spaces for parking and has restrooms as well. Has small library. There are lot of broken statues of Indian gods which is sad, there are bronze statues of Ganesha, Natrajar etc. Front desk associate patient enough to say about museum. Must visit if you are around Amarillo.

AMOA is free but suggested $5 donation. Gentleman at the entrance greeted us and informed us some of the art had nudity or offensive words. There are three levels which you go at your own pace. Small art museum but worth the visit while in Amarillo. The homes in the surrounding area are also worth a drive.

Google
A small but well kept art museum. They only have 1 permanent exhibit (Asian art) so you can keep coming back to see what's new! They have children's classes and even a little inspiration studio for kids with mini projects to create.

Small art museum stop. They had some cool works of art, but it’s not a very big museum. They have a large collection of Asian art, and a floor dedicated to college artists.

Beautiful exhibitions. Highly recommend. Small gallery but powerful. Thoroughly enjoyed this museum. Will take you about an hour to finish it but can easily spend more in the library filled with art history books. Free. They accept cash donations only.

Yelp
A smaller museum but still quite good. Three stories tall with big open galleries and lots of good light. One gallery was artworks and sculptures. The "Seated Buddha" was an interesting piece and carved from volcanic stone in the 8th or 9th century. I've not seen anything like that before, so it was interesting. The ground floor was mostly contemporary and political art. Not my thing and nothing there I was particularly drawn to. The museum and the parking are free. Yelp
Clean and well situated museum in a larger art complex with various music halls. 3 floors of art including a full upper floor permanent Asian Art exhibit and interactive exhibits on the first floor. The 2nd floor exhibit rotates and was featuring the works of 2 Texas colleges. Easy to navigate, allow about an hour.

Yelp
There are many reasons why I enjoy coming to this museum! First off, it's in a gorgeous, historical neighborhood that I love to walk my pup in. It's also within Amarillo College's campus which really is pretty. The museum itself is 3 stories and is filled with a variety of different art. They have kids classes and different art camps, too. There's a lot going on here. It's worth a trip :)

Yelp
This is very small museum located on the campus of Amarillo College. The first floor was devoted to pin hole camera prints. The second floor was a special exhibit of truck art, and the third floor was a permanent exhibit of Asian art. It's three stories, which should take the average person 30-45 minutes. They do not charge admission, but do accept donations.

Yelp
I loved it! It was a nice part of our family weekend. I really liked the student work! There were lots of historic pieces on loan from private collections. There were 3 floors to look at. Don't miss the sculptures outside and the converted cigarette - turned - art vending machine just inside (near the donation box). ; ) I won't be able to forget the "puppy mill" teapot! Outside there is a sculpture I liked on the NE side, with no name, but I call it "Jumping Through Hoops to be the Top Dog" If it's nice weather you can take a little walk around the neighborhood to see some nice homes. Let me know if you think the sculpture on the S side is balanced on just 3 tips or secured into the ground with poles?

Yelp
This was our first visit to the AMOA, and I must say I am very impressed. Very high quality of exhibits, especially the trove of Asian inspired works donated by William T Price. It was very quiet and we had plenty of time to ponder as long as we wanted. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Overall pretty much a waste if not for the top floor with all the Asian art. Without the Asian art, I'm not sure the city should even qualify as having an art museum. It Took me some time to find the building. It's a college museum and all the buildings look old and the same so if not for the little sign on the building I almost thought forget it. The museum itself is big and ugly but there really isn't much in there for such a big building. Outside, there are some sculptures. Some are nice. There's one really big ugly sculpture they stuffed into a little yard with a brick wall covering it up so when you drive up its cut in half. How stupid is that. Cost is free as if that helps.
