Amaro Bistro

I would not recommend going here. We had a 6:30pm reservation and were sat promptly. We waited nearly another half hour before our orders had been taken and 40 minutes before had either our wines or our soft drinks. It was another 20 minutes before we got our salads, and we were an hour and 15 minutes after our reservation before getting our meals. $175 for that meal was asinine, and that was after comping the Caesar. Our server, Andre, did apologize for the wait, but then was nowhere to be seen for the next 20-30 minutes. All told, for a 6:30 reservation, we didn't leave until 8:15. The food was okay, but I would recommend the Olive Garden for better rigatoni.

We had reservations for 6:30pm on a Thursday. It was mostly full, but we were seated right away. We then waited 15 minutes for our waiter (Andre) to ask us about drinks. 42 minutes later, we finally had 2 glasses of wine and a Pepsi on the table. Twenty minutes after that, we finally had our appetizer and a Caesar salad on the table. After an hour and a half, we finally had entrees on the table. Let's talk about those. Appetizer: Ricotta al Tartufo The ricotta itself, was really good. Unfortunately, there was not enough bread. This, I don't understand. Bread is cheap; quit being greedy. Three slices of toast for a cup to a cup and a half of whipped ricotta? We each (3 of us) had it spread an inch thick on the toast and there was still a serving left on the plate. So I have to leave an entire serving that I paid $14 for on the plate, because I don't want to pay $5 for another slice of toast, or have our waiter take another 20 minutes to get that to us? Caesar salad: It was fair. It's pretty hard to mess up a Caesar salad. It should have had freshly sliced Parmigiano Reggianno on it in my opinion. We also asked for lemons with it, but had to wait for that because it wasn't served with the salad. Entrees: Rigatoni Bolognese - Again...it was okay. It wasn't anything special. I could get better Rigatoni at the Olive Garden, much cheaper, with much faster service. Manzo Brasato - The short ribs had good flavor. The risotto was...meh. My wife makes a much better risotto. It was just an average risotto, made with those spindly, tough little stalks of asparagus about half a big around as a pencil. It should have been made with nice big stalks of asparagus, at least. Ravioli di Manzo - This one hit it out of the park. This is the ONLY dish I'd go back for. The mushrooms and the sauce on this were extremely flavorful. The pasta was perfect. If you like mushrooms, this dish was a 9.0 out of 10. As a minimal token effort, they comped our bowl of lettuce, in order to compensate for the horrible service. Okay, that's a start. But why not comp one of the entrees, that actually cost you something to make, not a $2 bowl of lettuce? That would have gone a lot farther as an apology. Overall, it's a nice restaurant, in a great location. But it was horrible service and with the exception of one dish, did not justify a $175 bill.

Food is amazing along with the service and our waiter Sherman was top notch with great service and recommendations. Spent my 27th birthday here tonight and was not disappointed. Had some appetizer and wine along with a great braised short rib. A great place in Bothell for a night out

Told the hostess i was ordering for my child and i asked if the antipasti was enough food for one. She responded the antipasti is enough to share for 2. I ordered a whipped cheese order from the antipasti side thinking it was a pasta meal for a child. When i got home i was disappointed that no pasta was included and definitely no meal. I am regretful for spending money because i gave the benefit of the doubt to the hostess when i said ordering a meal for my child that she would have suggested the pasta side of the menu and not let me leave with a useless piece of bread and cheese. A good recommendation from a restauranteur goes a long way.

Excellent service, delicious hearty portions, wonderful ambiance. We ordered: a huge salad with goat cheese, lasagna, pizza with mushrooms, and the pork chop entree. There were 4 of us, we shared the food amongst each other, and we still didn’t finish everything!!

We have found our new local Italian spot!! The drinks were fun, the weekend special appetizer (burrata and peach) and dessert (chocolate custard) were to die for, and the pastas beat out anything else we've tried in the area. Our meals were delicious and we will be back again.

Come here for the food: expertly prepared with obviously fresh ingredients. It was busy and noisy when we arrived (at 5:30pm). The after-work crowd makes it more hectic than it is if you come later. Parking can be difficult as well. But the food!

Great service and fun atmosphere! The only bummer was the entree. The fillet was absolutely drenched in the sauce that they use which had Gorgonzola in it which is already a super overpowering flavor. The entire fillet and potato were drenched so heavy in it that all you could taste was blue cheese. It made everything so soggy. I couldn’t even tell the other food item on the plate was a potato at first because of how drenched it was in brown sauce. It was definitely not worth $60. It would’ve been good with a conservative amount of sauce on the fillet and little to none on the potato.

In short Sophisticated Italian cooking in a lovely, welcoming setting. In long Downtown Bothell is certainly no longer the sleepy distant suburb it was 30 or so years ago. Lots of medium-rise buildings, lots of wide bustling streets, lots of new construction of all kinds...then drive a block over and you're back in the quiet old burbs again. Amaro is right on the border of those contrasting areas. Parking is a huge hassle, especially on Friday nights, so of course we came in on a Friday night. Everything's warm and nice inside. Big glass walls encasing the wine cellar, lots of tasteful blond wood, every inch of every surface is fully finished in every way. Lots of very intentional lighting design; you're never stuck in the shadows and nothing flickers. Quite the contrast to the nearly-old-world charms of the antique construction of their sister restaurant (Il Bistro, in the market). This is a very complete modern build-out. Staff are warm and friendly at all times, right from the second you step in. We posted up at the bar on comfortable tall stools, with 2 big flatscreens tuned to the game. Way to make this dude feel right at home. They were absolutely slammed--no place else to sit, 2 bartenders working with full barback support, and they never had a rest for even a second until we'd been there an hour. This place is thriving for sure. We checked out the buratta, which is a fantastic hearty appetizer. For a lot of us, this borders on entree generosity in terms of portion size. The roast tomatoes are excellent, and the bread is piping hot and delicious--cooked just enough for some crunch and plenty of chew. As delightful as it is to serve yourself the toppings, this would also show up beautifully as a finished pizza. These ingredients would work well in many settings. The carpaccio is something we looked forward to for days before we got here, and it still somehow exceeded our expectations. Rich and tender thin slices of beef with great contrast from salty and bitter veg on top. We also checked out a fig and pear pizza, which was every bit as delicious as it sounds. We've had this recipe/combination several others places and it's always great; Amaro's is as good as anyone's for sure. We were tempted to order too much food because we also wanted to try the pork shank. One of the expediters finished her shift and sat down next to us to eat one for her shift meal, and it smelled so damn good we almost got it to take home as 100% leftovers. This menu is worth exploring thoroughly. The bar program is quite over the top. Huge whiskey list, nice gins, tequilas, everything you could want (within reason) for a called spirit. Solid tap list, gargantuan wine list with many tempting options. We had fantastic cocktails from Vanessa, who is a sorceress behind the bar. She had a couple of her own creations on the list, and she made up a couple things for us on the spot. She's such a talented bartender. Prices here are certainly not the cheapest, but they more than deliver the quality for what you pay. We didn't even consider dessert by the time we filled up, but we've heard they're amazing and we can't wait to come back.

Wow had such a great experience at Amaro recently. Seriously everything we had was so delicious. There wasn't a single thing we ordered we didn't like, but if I have to pick a favorite the calamari was excellent! Services and ambience were great. I just love seeing all this good energy and gems in Bothell!

Found on street parking easily right in front of the restaurant. Was greeted promptly when I walked in the door and seated quickly. The server came over and introduced themself, brought water, and took my drink order. My dinner partner arrived, ordered their drink and then we ordered dinner, which was great for each of us. I finished with the Horchata gelato. Yum. There were only one or two other tables when I arrived, and by the time we left, the dining room was almost full. Appreciate the clean, shiny glassware, fabric napkins, and super absorbent hand towels in the clean, well-lit restroom. Nice touch. We will be back.

Only been here once and the food was great but the second time around was amazing! Everything was DELICIOUS! Service was great from the host to our server! Good amount of seating options for small and big parties! Recommend making a reservation during dinner hours because they do fill up quick but sooo worth the wait if you don't! Definitely A MUST to come here!

The ambience is decent, but the service was truly exceptional! We visited on a Wednesday evening to celebrate a special occasion and ordered the meatball spaghetti and carbonara. Both dishes were fantastic and incredibly fresh; I think these were the freshest meatballs I've ever had. Our server, Jacob, was awesome! He recommended some great wines and made sure to check in on us frequently. To top it off, the restaurant kindly treated us to tiramisu to celebrate--such a sweet gesture! Jacob was also very patient and took some lovely photos for us. Overall, a wonderful experience! Def coming in again!

Ordered take out on a Monday evening. We got the rigatoni bolognese and the ravioli di manzo off the regular dinner menu. I placed the order over the phone and asked to pick up the food at 5:55pm. Parking was easy, and the food was ready at the requested time. The food was hot and smelled great, but unfortunately the ravioli di manzo only included 6 raviolis for $29. I was shocked that the ravioli was 1/3 the size of my rigatoni bolognese. I even had to give the restaurant a quick call to ensure the amount was right. The flavor was there, but I don't think we would order the ravioli again. Will have to give this place another try sometime soon.

We made a reservation online and arrived to be offered any table we wanted. We asked to sit at the counter to have insight into the action of the cook, however after being seated found the two young workers just standing in front of us drinking their water, and gossiping with each other. If you are seating people at a counter, this should not be a spot where people hang out. Period. I got up and asked to be moved to another table and were taken outside. We had some of the most delicious food, and subsequent leftovers, that I get why so many locals recommend this place. I will say, the amount of bread provided with the burrata is not sufficient AND could be a more grilled and les burnt. At any rate a solid spot and we look forward to returning.

I was so impressed with Amaro! It's one of those spots that I always drive by and want to try you, but just hadn't gotten the chance to try yet. I'm so glad I made the time! The ambiance is lovely- it feels like a wine bar! Candle-lit tables, beautiful light fixtures, all the good stuff. It felt so romantic and reminded me of my time in Italy. The food was to die for! I got the gluten free rigatoni in the pesto burrata dish and it was absolutely incredible. Amazing flavor, texture, and portion. They also offer gluten free pizzas and have lots of other options for any dietary preference. My boyfriend loved his carbonara and said it's almost as good as the ones he tried in Rome! Our server, Jacob, was amazing! He was super attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. He really took our experience to the next level. Highly recommend for your next date night!

We visited Amaro Bistro on a weekend night for dinner and had a very nice time! The three of us each ordered a different dish and then we shared family style. All of the food tastes good; service was totally on point as well :-) I can't wait to go back - highly recommended!

Happy hour is back! I'm so excited and I had another great visit - happy hour calamari, whipped ricotta and they delivered when I asked for a side of veggies. As always, service is superb! So glad HH is back!

This was our first time here. It was very busy, parking was hard to find. Was super excited to check out restaurant week here! I'm not the biggest Italian foodie, so thought restaurant week would be a good option to try it out. However, upon arriving we were told they didn't do it on Friday and Saturday- which is a huge bummer. It was very busy and service was prompt. Food was okay. The ricotta felt like it was missing something- could have used some sort of nut or other garnish. The bread was forgettable. We were asked if we wanted more bread and thinking that it was complimentary- accepted. We had read a prior review that talked about free bread. Nope, $4. However, I guess we should have asked. Salad was the best part about our meal. Pumpkin ravioli wa good, but small for $25- especially with no meat. Speaking of which- not many options for protein or to add on. Overall, was a decent experience but nothing to WOW me into coming back.

In an area with great restaurants, sometimes this is the only one that will do Fantastic Italian food. Every dish I've had here has been wonderful. Even when trying something new. Great atmosphere. Good service. Good cocktails in the bar.

Amaro Bistro offers a cozy Italian dining experience, though my recent visit left me with mixed feelings. Opting for a classic pairing, I ordered a glass of wine to accompany my steak. While the ambiance was charming, I found the steak lacking in flavor--it could have benefited from a finishing salt or another seasoning to elevate its taste. The calamari was a surprise; I expected traditional fried calamari but received it in a spicy marinara sauce. While the flavors were enjoyable, I missed the satisfying crunch of the classic preparation. Overall, Amaro Bistro is a decent spot, but tonight's experience fell short of my expectations. Perhaps it was just an off night, and I'm willing to give it another chance in the future.

We had our last minute holiday party here with our friends. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the hostess. We were the first ones to arrive and still waiting for 6 others, but the server came to introduce himself right away and took our drink orders. We ordered a bottle of wine and it was not what I had in mind but it was fine. We ordered a gorgonzola salad to start, olive marine, short ribs and carbonara for entrees. They were all delicious. The service was wonderful. I think it's 3 stars for me because the complexity of food was not there. I would have loved to taste a depth in the sauce of short ribs or carbonara sauce.

Always a classic and a hit in our family. Try the happy hour calamari and a glass of local WA wine. So cozy! Our preferred time to visit is on a rainy sleepy Seattle weather kind of day. So cozy!

It makes me sad to write this review but man has the service here gone down hill. I visit this restaurant frequently and saw they brought back happy hour so I wanted to check it out. We ordered the pepperoni pizza ($15) and pumpkin ravioli ($12) off the happy hour menu. Very good portion or happy hour- pizza seems same size as normal price and seven pieces of ravioli is a good amount for $12. The bartender brought us our bill and had charged us full price for everything. He went to fix it and came back with a new bill saying he doesn't usually work the happy hour... bill was still messed up... we flagged him down again and pointed out the prices did not reflect their happy hour pricing. He tells me "just so you know, I gave you a full size portion of ravioli". Seven pieces for $24? That's absurd. I specially said I wanted the happy hour portion so what got lost in translation? He was visibly annoyed and went to fix it. He comes back with the bill (not itemized) with a total of $55. We ordered one coke, two beers, the pizza and ravioli which is $41, $45 after tax. We gave up, signed and left. HE ADDED A TIP FOR HIMSELF??!! I've attempted to reach out to the restaurant TWICE with no response. It's been three weeks now. Shame on this establishment.

We went on a special occasion and the server was very courteous. We order the meat ball spaghetti and linguine pasta and both the dishes tasted pretty good. The interior of the place was average but the service was exceptional. The server also provided us with good wine suggestions and we ended up half a liter of red wine. We ordered a tiramisu which was also removed from the bill since it was a celebration which was really nice of them!

Mama made a what a good fine. We have been by Amaro couple times and decided to give this place a try and boy am I glad we did. Stopped by for dinner and they have a good variety of food and we quickly settled into ordering. 1) carbonara - such a good comforting dish. If you like pasta this is always a good hit and Amaro made it well. 2) roasted chicken over risotto - really good. The crisp skin and juicy chicken over the creamy risotto complemented each other well. Two people in our party had this and agreed it is a hit. 3) the daily special pork chop - a really moist thick cut rib chop over a apple celeriac purée with a apple chutney and crispy Brussels sprouts. It was sooooo good. I had to grab some bread to clean up that purée and sauce! For dessert we had the panna cotta. It was decent but not the best I've had. It is a bit firmer than I like and a tad bit gritty which is weird....never had a gritty panna cotta. Overall I really enjoyed the service and the food and will definitely be back again. If you haven't tried this place please do so. You won't regret it.

Delicious Italian food. My husband took me here for my birthday this past summer. It's a nice spot for a date night or even a nice dinner out with friends. It wasn't too busy on a Tuesday so we were able to sit down as soon as we arrived. We were served fairly quickly as well since it wasn't busy. We splurged and got an appetizer (Arancini), 2 entrees, multiple cocktails, and a dessert -- I can't quite remember all of the dishes we chose, but I remember each one being delicious - I don't think you can go wrong here!

Sizable pizzas, the Margharita Pizza was very tasty- so incredibly flavorful with that pesto. The chicken dish, Polo Arrosto with risotto was straightforward and tasted very clean. The Arancini sauce was SO flavorful with spice too. The Pork Chop was good but the purple sauce looked SO unappetizing- ick! The dish would be impressive with the Purple Yukon Potatoes roasted in my opinion. I'm no stranger to purple roots, and even with me knowing the beauty and nutritional value of those potatoes, the sauce looked as though it should be grape flavor. The cocktail menu didn't interest me so I had the Chardonnay at the waiter's suggestion and they were delicious. Plenty of seating, solid friendly service.

Stopped in for the Restaurant Week menu and we weren't disappointed. This was our first time at Amaro and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with everything, starting with the options on the RW menu. Let's face it, restaurant week menus are usually pretty sparse and don't always have customer favorites on them. Not today, people! Lots of options so we started with arancini rice balls which were savory and perfect to share. We added the ricotta toast with honey to share as well and basically fought over it. It's one of those "worth coming back for" type appetizers. Moving on to the mains, we tried the pappardelle pasta with beef tips and the braised pork shank with risotto. Both were top notch and so satisfying. We were looking at each other in disbelief in having such a wonderful meal in little old Bothell. Dessert was the flourless chocolate tarte and vanilla panacotta with fresh berries and raspberry sauce. Best panacotta I've ever had! The tarte was a chocolate lover's dream; especially if you're into that dark chocolate taste. Finally, the service was great, parking is really easy, and the beer/wine we ordered hit the spot. Honestly, we have zero reason not to return. So happy we gave Amaro a shot!

I ordered the Lumache and it was outstanding! The arancini appetizer was also delicious. The atmosphere is lovely with large windows and handsome decor. Service is attentive and friendly. Would definitely come back for a second round!

Obviously the Amaro hasn't correct the problem at hand! My boyfriend went here a couple months ago ordered food online went to go and pick it up. When he arrived not one single person working in the restaurant greeted him, he waited 10 minutes before someone ever acknowledged him. By the time some acknowledged his presence, it was a little too late. He watched his food just sitting on the counter. He asked to speak with the manager she apologized, saying she wouldn't charge him for his food, he stated he didn't care about the food at this this point, he said you do know how this looks right and left. Fast forward 2 months to last night... This was my first time at this restaurant & an unbelievable experience it was!!! I kept hearing the food was amazing, so many good things there was and I had to try but that never happened for us last night. Where do I even start..... after we had been seated not one single person in the entire restaurant spoke to us or came by our table till about 12-15mins later. The bartender finally came over and said she was not the server, our server was busy but she could get our drinks started. The drinks took another 10-15mins to come to our table. Another person brought our drinks out to us and left, he never asked if we wanted appetizers and or if we were ready to order. This same man went to a table of all caucasian people and ask them if they were ready to order. Then he went to the table next to them another table of caucasian people asking if they needed anything else, handed them the bill and moved onto the next table which is now the third table of caucasian people and ask them if they were ready to order. By the time he got to our table, the guy who brought us our drinks, was actually our server, he never asked us a single question simply dropped the drinks off and moved onto another table. I had observed all of this behavior, observing the room, atmosphere, & vibe it was very apparent what was going on, not only did we wait 12-15 mins for somebody to ask us if we wanted something to drink, we waited another 10-15 to be served drinks and waited another 10-12 mins for him make his way to our table. We were his fourth table at that point we asked for our bill, paid and left! Very disappointing experience overall, sad and unfortunate that we still live in a world where if you aren't white you will be last. Praying and hoping that you have a better overall experience and do not experience this type of behavior/service from anyone ever!

I live across the street from Amaro's so I have eaten there many times in the last 9 months. Every visit has been a great experience. I have tried most of the pasta dishes and liked all of them. I also like the steak, fish, and chicken options. Service is exceptional but not rushed. Give them a try.

Amaro is our absolute favorite Italian restaurant in the area. Everything about the experience is perfection from the service, the atmosphere and especially the food. Their gluten free pasta is divine and they obviously care about their gluten free diners. We've only had the gf pasta but noticed they have gf pizza as well and next time we go we are going to try that as well. We went on a Sunday afternoon for an early dinner and the place was completely packed and many of the people eating appeared to be regulars. As we left the area, we walked by a couple of other restaurants on the same block and they were all open but mostly empty while Amaro's had every single seat filled with people waiting. It is definitely worth waiting for.

Wow! We have lived right by this place for months and have never been here before and now, having tried it, I know we will be back! We had such a good experience! Our server, Jacob, was spot on. He was efficient, friendly, and helpful with our menu questions. The food was super good! Everyone loved their meals and the apps. The arancini appetizer is to die for!! I highly recommend. I got the tortellini as my meal and it was equally amazing! My husband got the brasato di maiale- and for a crappier cut of meat (no offense), he was presently surprised that it was seasoned and cooked really well! Our friends got the linguine di mare and a pizza and they had nothing bad to say! All the food was presented beautifully. The restaurant was also great with allergies- my husband has a severe nut allergy and their menu has some nuts on it. Jacob asked the kitchen about menu items that potentially contained nuts and also had the risk of cross contamination. The vibe of the restaurant was really dimly lit and beautiful. It is centrally located to other restaurants and shops and there's plenty of street parking. Thanks, Amaro Bistro, for a great experience!

Super taster here: Food: Ordered the calamari (came with bread), rigatoni, and gnochetti pasta off the fresh menu of the day. Calamari was the best with great red sauce. Pasta was above average. Food 4/5 Service: Appetizer came out on time but entrees took over 40min. Server stated it's because they space out the meals and I personally needed to let them know when I wanted my main (never heard of this being a standard rule, seems like he just forgot but no apology). Water was never refilled. Service 2.5/5 Other: The atmosphere is nice/clean, good first date kind of place, portions are bigger than normal, there is a 3.5% auto surcharge. Overall: I would come back for the food but due to the service would give it 3.5/5

Solid 4 star experience! My wife and I both enjoyed our meals and had really nice service. We started with arancini app and they were OK. I had the lobster gnocchi special and it was absolutely delicious. My wife went with the carbonara (she's a bit of a snob when it comes to carbonara) and she said it was good, so that's a win in my book. Her personal favorite comes with an egg yolk on top. We did grab some tiramisu to take home, it was good, I like mine with a little more soak on the lady fingers. Our service was great.

This place has some of the best pasta I've tried. The flavors are very bold here, so if you like extremely punchy tomato sauces that are sour and spicy this is the joint for you. The lasagne is the best I've ever had. The desserts are also made in house and are unique and fantastic. The pizzas are somewhat dry and not as enjoyable though. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of food served, around $20 for most entrees. They run a late night happy hour from 10-12, which is unusual for a restaurant of this quality and it's one of the best places to get a late night treat. Call ahead because sometimes they close early if there's no customers. They're unfortunately never open for lunch. The main complaint I have is some of their dishes seem drastically undersized. The lasagna and rigatoni for example are massive and extremely good bang for your buck, but the tortellini and the ravioli are about half the size and don't fill up the plate they're served on. In fact, most things here including appetizers are generously portioned. It's a shame because those small pastas are some of the best items offered, and I get that those kinds of pastas take more labor to make but it would be nice if there was at least more portion consistency so you feel like you get your money's worth no matter what you order.

We came for a birthday and ended up sitting in the bar. Maybe not the most comfortable place to sit, as we kept bumping into the people next to us. Stuck with pasta for dinner. Big enough portions that we all had lunch for the next day, and the food was okay. It wasn't anything that I would seek out, but dinner was fine. Lots of regulars in the house, so it had more of a neighborhood feel to it.

Based just on the food we would not come back. Ambiance was refined and romantic, service was nice but not engaged or attentive and the food was very subpar. We came here for our 9th anniversary to have dinner and it was a big disappointment. My husband ordered off the Seattle Restaurant week menu and I had a pasta. The carbonara pasta was quite mediocre and was not rich in flavor as it must have lacked quality eggs/cheese as the base of the pasta was more of white sauce. Steak sauce was a cherry sweet and vinegary which was all over the meat and did not work. The spinach was probably the best part. Caesar salad was average and the torte was quite good. Our server asked how the food was and I said my meal was so so and she looked at me and it was silent for 15 seconds until she turned to my husband for his response and then left us with our meals. No other attempts were made to see how we were doing. It was awkward to sit with food we weren't eating so we paid the bill and left (20% auto-gratuity). We just moved into the area and are sad this was such a let down. We would not come back after such an experience.

While driving home, my friend picked this restaurant. I wasn't picky or anything. I said sure without checking the this place out first. Got seated right away when we got to the restaurant. Wasn't busy but it did got pretty busy. I got their Linguine de Marle which includes couple seafood: mussels, shrimp, salmon, littleneck, and calamari. My friends got their Pollo dish, and the salmone. I was disappointed on what I picked. I'm always a seafood lover. I can tell when the seafood is fresh or rotten. I swear the mussel in my linguine were not fresh at all. The dead after taste... tbh it's like one of those mix seafood package from Safeway all frozen up or something. Oh well... my friend chicken dish and the salmon was alright. The chicken skin were burnt though. Overall, good service and great interior. That's the only thing I liked about this place. NGL, even OG pasta tasted better. Lol

Great food and service was quick. We went for dinner at 9 pm and to my surprise I was not sure if they allowed kids as when I said I have kid along with me front desk person went inside to ask if kids were allowed and then I saw they have coloring sheets for kids . But they let me with kid and I ordered bruschetta , pesto pasta and pizza . All were great taste . Worth a try for pesto pasta but price was not worth the quantity served. Ambience was decent but price didn't justify the ambience so reducing the star.

The bartender and his bar back were top tier best customer service I've ever had he they both can get down! I believe his name with Alex from what I heard from his coworkers and the other Eric I believe they are both just the very best at what they do they really can set the vibe to the place they have good humor and they both very patient. The food was 10/10 best pizza I've ever had I was just walking on the street and stumble upon this place just walked right in! The hostess sat us really fast with how busy it was!

I think Ive found my new go-to Italian spot. My boyfriend and I went here for date night on a Monday night and was seated at a cute intimate booth. Loved that there was good separation between other tables to keep the candlelight ambience. People were dressed anywhere from very casual to mid-classy. I could tell this a special spot for special occasions as there were many families and groups taking photos together after their meals. Service: 3/5 stars. It wasn't a terrible wait for our waiters attention but he seemed to attend to the bigger parties more to check up on them while walking past us at times. But not a big deal. Food: 4/5 stars. Arancini was delicious! Gnocchi was pillow soft and pretty good not amazing. Carbonara had a generous amount of meat and was not too heavy. Dessert: 10/5 STARS! Ok let me tell you this tiramisu was one of the absolute freaking best tiramisus I've ever had. I will dream of this tiramisu for the next few nights. I will recommend anyone to go to Amaro to try their tiramisu as it is a dessert of espresso cocoa bliss. If anyone from Amaro is reading this review, please send me the recipe.

Food was delicious! Their main cooking oil is olive oil. Our server Zachary was fantastic and walked me through my decisions for drinks and dinner. I enjoyed the Ramazzotti amaro and will definitely try the Folleto Verde cocktail next time. Great ambiance. There's indoor and outdoor dining, bar and counter seating. Great for family gatherings also great for date night.

This cute little Italian bistro in the heart of bothell downtown is one of the awesome places I have recently dined-in. We were here for my birthday dinner and I was happy with my choice! Good drinks (spritz was so close to what I had in Italy), prompt service, friendly and attentive staff, fresh bread and kid-friendly!! I I ordered the watermelon salad and it was deliciously fresh with a burst of flavors ! My picky toddler loved his simple pasta with cheese. Only tweak I would do is with the pizza. A personal size would be ideal!! Cant wait to try again and explore the dessert menu

I have nothing but good things to say about this place. We did cocktails, apps, and dinner. All were on point, as was the service and ambiance. They have an open kitchen area with seating where you can watch the chefs do their work which is pretty cool. The cocktails (pictured below) were expertly crafted and delicious. It's nice to see bartenders who take pride in their craft. The apps were very generously sized, and could easily feed 4-5 people. We did the brussels and the Ricotta Calabrese. Both were very good, but especially the Ricotta Calabrese. I could do that on a weekly basis. Mains consisted of the Bucatini con Pesto and the Ravioli di Zucca (sorry no pictures). Both were very savory and good. I would like to come back and try their pizzas which looked great. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, but worst case you can find a place with a 3-5 minute walk. Check this place out!

Went for apps and drinks, had a really lovely time. I didn't like my first cocktail and they graciously switched it out. I liked their bar, it had a great vibe and service overall was fantastic.

Went here for Restaurant Week. Never heard of it and wanted to try it. We thoroughly loved our dishes. The whipped ricotta appetizer was the best. The risotto fritters were okay. The Steak and Lobster ravioli mains were SO good!! Of all, dessert was my least fave. The cannoli was a bit dry and thick although the berry coulis was a nice bit of sweetness. The Panna Cota was okay too. Not too sweet and a little thick. Service was slow. There was a long gap between the drinks, taking our order, and checking in. Service was friendly though. And they were busy, so they weren't just standing around. Overall, a good bang for your buck. You get a good feel for the nenu. Definitely would come back! I just got the bill and saw this surcharge where the business claims it keeps 100 percent to pay everyone a living wage. I'm tempted to deduct this from the tip although it's not the staff fault they work for a cheap company. They know exactly how to make net profits if the amount they charge for alcohol is any indication. To slap a surcharge and say they are using it to pay wages means I'm paying wages 2x over plus they are too cheap nor want to pay staff a living wage....bad form...

My girlfriend and I met up at Amaro for some long overdue catching-up. Free parking can be found in the City Hall parking garage (across the street from Amaro). Parking is limited to two hours 8am-5pm Monday-Friday. Amaro requires a face mask when not seated at your table and can provide one if you do not have one (my girlfriend didn't have one). Credit cards are accepted forms of payment. Happy Hour had not been reinstated yet during our visit. Before exploring the menu we ordered a bottle of Tinte Cellars Bishop's Blend wine for $53. We started off with the Caprese Amaro for $15: heirloom tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, balsamic and olive oil. Absolutely delightful. We couldn't waste any of the balsamic oil so we ordered a small order of Grilled Tuscan Bread for $3. My girlfriend ordered the Carbonara for $19 (w/o egg): spaghetti pasta, pancetta, Romano, cream, chives and black pepper. She stated her meal was heavenly. I ordered the Cannelloni for $18: chicken, goat cheese, spinach, marinara and Italian cheese. Delectable. For dessert we shared the Torta Mascarpone for $10: Italian Cheesecake w/ an almond biscotti crust topped with lemon curd. Light, creamy and lovely. We were cared for by superstar Johnette. Johnette had an outgoing personality that was contagious. Johnette was insightful and knowledgeable. Amaro has found a gem with Johnette.

Cute Bothell date spot! My first time here we ate outside after a short wait for the first available table. We got the Arancini 4/5 as an appetizer. It had a nice texture with a spicy marinara. We also had two fun cocktails that were well made. My partner had the lasagna 4.5/5 and I had the mais (corn) ravioli 5/5 - Sweet and delicious! My second time eating at Amaro, we made a Friday night reservation and got seated as soon as we arrived at a table in the bar area. Although we weren't drinking, they checked our ID, so make sure you bring it for more seating availability :) we got the barata to start 4.5/5 - i would have enjoyed more barata, the jam was delicious & the bread with sprouts was tasty as well. I had the zucca ravioli 5/5 - the mushrooms were great along with the sauce and crispy sage all on top of delicious fresh pasta. My partner loved the bolognese and rated it off the charts. The panna cotta didn't meet the same mark, being too gelatinous and less flavorful than we'd hoped. Parking is easy in a gravel lot nearby. We'll keep coming back!

Have had two lovely meals here now, and really - I think it is undeniably one of the Eastside's best restaurants. So good! Would give them 10 stars if it was allowed! I didn't take pix, but they are currently doing an Amazing job for October's Seattle Restaurant Week!!

Went there on a Sunday afternoon and it Was raining heavily. We had already booked our table and got seated in matter of minutes. It was packed for a Sunday!!! The pasta and pizza dishes were continuously coming from the kitchen and disappearing on tables lol The husband and I ordered meatball pasta and a pesto chicken pizza. Both pizza and pasta were good, and the portions were sizable. We got our pasta packed for later and enjoyed their lavender honey gelato for dessert. Great food and great stop for a Sunday meal

Food was quite tasty. Service was impeccable. A group of five, we got there right at 4 PM when they opened. I can see that it filled up quite quickly at about 5:30 PM and it was quite noisy. Obviously people enjoying themselves. Glad that we got there so early. Highly recommend.

This has become our go-to Italian place. From eating in to taking out, I've never had a bad meal here. The whipped ricotta appetizer and gnocchi and mushroom ravioli are my favorite dishes. They have exceptionally good panna cotta and tiramisu. And I particularly enjoy how they "plate" their takeout boxes. It's rare and a very nice touch to open the box and see something both delicious and attractive.

Service and food is outstanding. We went on sa Saturday day night 7:45pm . The place was packed. The waiter was nice and very helpful. We had calamari and bread for appetizer My son had the lasagna ( huge portion) and his gf and I had spaghetti Alla mare ( seafood) oh so yummy. For dessert we had tiramisu and all 3 of us shared. Oh we had empress 75 and aperol spirtz for drinks . Strong and perfect. Would go back very soon.

The food was good. However, when we arrived (with reservations) we were asked if we wanted to sit outside or in. After choosing outside we were handed our menus and told "ok". Confused, we took the menus and found a table on our own. We didn't get a drink menu, no waters or serve ware. Sat and waiting for about 10mins and watched all other patrons being shown to tables with all the things. When we finally got a waitress we put in an order for drinks and bread. Drinks took about 15mins to get. No bread. Ordered our meals. No bread. Got our meals pretty quick. Still no bread. Which you have to pay for. After about 1/2 way thru our dinners, we get a basket of burnt bread. No butter. Just dry burnt bread. It was definitely a one and done experience. Especially for what we paid.
