"A taste of Peru in the heart of Upper Engadine. Housed in the elegant Kulm Hotel St. Moritz, this restaurant is only open in the winter season. In a tastefully decorated and inviting space with a lovely vaulted ceiling, diners are treated to attentive service provided by charming and adept waitstaff. In the kitchen, Claudia Canessa and her team bring the diverse flavours of Peru to the plate with modern, inventive dishes made from excellent ingredients. Intriguing examples include "El Choclo y sus Gambas" (grilled corn cake, red prawns, pickled onions, ocopa) and "Tuna Chicano" (tuna ceviche)." - Michelin Inspector

I was excited to eat here and I was a little let down. The food is good, but very small for the price. The drinks were great. We sat down, ordered and ate our first plate within 30 minutes. Very fast, but our sever seemed like she did not want us there. We loved the cozy ambiance and the view of the mountains.

Peruvian cuisine at its finest! Cozy atmosphere, very attentive and kind staff and so far one of the best Pisco Sours I have tried! I recommend this restaurant for a gentle entry into the peruvian cuisine and to enjoy its flavours.

We had such a lovely dining experience here. The ambience is intimate, cosy and romantic, the service staff especially Ruben, Nency and Giorgia took such great care of us and every single guest in the restaurant. Food was impeccable, well plated and delicious. This is what fine dining should be.

One word….SPECTACULAR!! The food, the drinks, the service(Enzo, Ruben, Georgia and Luca), the chef, the atmosphere, the music. I don’t think anything else during my time here in St. Moritz has been better! Definitely make a reservation if in town.

Our experience at Amaru was amazing!! From the relaxing & cozy atmosphere, amazing food, and sweet staff everything was perfect. Nancy made sure we were as comfortable as we could be and allowed us to switch to a booth. We enjoyed conversations with her and learning about how the restaurant evolved and is still growing. We enjoyed a sort of “surprise” meal in which they made sure all of their top items were brought to our table. And a very very nice dessert!!! All the workers without a doubt go above and beyond for their guests and do a great job at it. I could just tell everyone was so hard working but so happy at the same time and it made me happy!! To say the least, we absolutely loved Amaru and will be coming back soon!! Now our favorite restaurant in St. Moritz. Thank you!!

Amaru at the Kulm Hotel is incredible! The cocktails were a revelation—perfectly balanced and delicious, even for someone who’s not a cocktail fan. The food? Wow. Every bite was bold, flavorful, and exciting, like a Ratatouille moment of discovering something new. The service team was just as amazing—super friendly and made the whole evening unforgettable. Totally worth it—don’t miss this spot if you’re in St. Moritz!

The staff was very lovely and very informative about the food! The service was excellent and the vibe of the place is classically elegant. The cuisine is also a wonder addition to the St. Moritz food scene, delicious I might also add!

📝 I had a very good dinner at Amaru and can recommend it to everyone. Obviously it comes at a relatively high price but they offer great quality food and good service making it worth a visit. 🍴 We ordered mostly to share and all had a very good taste, a little spicy. Portions were definitely small-ish as in all fine dining places: the idea is to order more and share rather than order one plate to get full. All on the menu has Peruvian roots with a nice modern adaptation applied. 📍 The restaurant can be found within the 5-star hotel Kulm. I must admit that finding the restaurant within Kulm took us a few minutes: this should be facilitated for guests in my opinion. In terms of decor, Amaru is very elegant and gives a comfort feeling. ☝🏼 As Peruvian restaurant, don't forget to order a Pisco sour: they make a very good one here!
