Obviously plenty of vegan options, so we're all good there. Staff was super nice as well. I tried to order a chai and they were all out. The person at the counter suggested the Lady London Fog in a Jar, so I ordered that. Oh my gods, it was so sweet, nothing like any chai I've ever had. Like I could feel the diabeetus developing as I sipped. My spouse ordered the Golden Mylk Turmeric Latté in a Jar. Luckily she is a fan of sugar so we switched. She even said it was very sweet and she would eat spoonfuls of sugar if no one was paying attention. The turmeric thing was alright, still way too sweet but not diabeetus sweet.
We ordered chicken & waffles and the breakfast sandwich. The chicken & waffles came with whipped cream on the waffle? I've never. I'm clutching my pearls writing this review about to succumb to the vapors. What kind of sicko puts whipped cream on their chicken & waffles? Is this a joke? Am I in a US themed restaurant in Europe? Does this place use catsup as bbq sauce? Do they think La Croix is too spicy? I ate the faux chicken, which was good, and gave the rest to my spouse. The breakfast sandwich was alright. For a gluten free "biscuit" it was good but it wasn't a biscuit. I've spent a lot of time in the northern parts of the US. Boston, Seattle, the coasts generally, Chicago... But this part of the Midwest, I dunno what it is but their take on southern is not ideal.
Tl;dr if you think black pepper spicy and tap water on white bread is flavorful, this is your spot. If you like sugar blasted drinks, this place is for you. If you know from a southern biscuit or chicken & waffles and like your hot liquids to taste like the thing being brewed, this is not your #1 stop.
