It's convenient. That's primarily why I've found myself at Amazon Fresh a few times, as I run errands in the Factoria area and it's just right off the main road. Amazon Fresh took over a former Safeway and since then, it has never been packed, which is another reason why I like to come here. I don't have to deal with being in the same aisle with a bunch of people with shopping carts, thank god.
When I come him with my partner who has an Amazon account, he opens up his cell phone where he can just walk right in and walk right out with all the items we're getting. Yes, the first time felt very weird, like we were stealing when we walked passed the checkout line. So, I get why people who have Amazon accounts go here since you really can pop in and out. When I am not with my partner, I just go through the traditional entrance and have to go through the checkout line to pay. (I don't want an Amazon account, okay!)
So keep in mind that anyone can shop here - you do not have to have an Amazon account.
Some items are good here. Some I'd skip. The produce doesn't seem to be as fresh as other grocers, so I usually don't get produce here. But a treasure I have found is a large can of albacore tuna is only $1.82 where it's normally close to four bucks at any other grocer. So I always stock up on canned tuna. They also have their own brand items, I think called, New Day or something corny like that. So that's usually cheaper than brand named items. And the rotisserie chicken is only five bucks, and it's tastier than Whole Foods or QFC, but don't compare it to Costco. Yet, I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty and juicy the chicken was.
Again, I like to come here when I'm in the area doing errands. But it's not the perfect grocer where I can find everything I need. The store is on the smaller side, so they have a lot of the more popular brand items or just basics. I guess that's why it's never crowded, which I'm glad about.
