"Amazon Go will open a third destination of its app-driven, cashier-less store at 575 Market Street. All locations sell grab-and-go food items from restaurants like Dosa and La Boulangerie, that rely on Amazon’s app, sensors, and cameras to detect and ring up." - Ellen Fort

Super convenient convenience store with nice staff and fair prices. I came by to return something, but ended up buying some popcorn chicken too. To enter the shopping area, open the in-store code on your phone's Amazon app and hold it over the scanner at the gates. If you're returning something, head to the back and ring the bell for an associate. That's also how you would pay with cash if you don't have the Amazon app. The store doesn't have a massive selection, but there is a good variety. Things are priced similarly to other convenience stores. Sauces, napkins, and utensils are all free. Also, there are microwaves in the seating area if you'd like to heat up a frozen item and a water dispenser for refilling a bottle if you need it. There is also a restroom onsite, and if you're a woman, you might be glad to know there are free pads and tampons in a dispenser. Also, the store's doors and entry gates would be wide enough for a person in a wheelchair to enter. There is no checkout because you just grab stuff and a system of cameras and sensors track you. If it's your first time, it feels like stealing. I highly recommend visiting an Amazon Go store even if it's not this one at least once in your life to experience shopping checkout-free. The popcorn chicken wasn't good. It sits in a heating area the whole day. It's more dry than crispy. I know for a fact that the sandwiches and cookies are great. Also, I want to add that there used to be sushi before the pandemic, but there isn't any more.

No lines, no checkout - just grab and go! Dope tech. You will need an Amazon account and you’ll need to download the free Amazon Shopping app to your phone if you don’t already have it. The app is used to scan and enter through the turnstile inside the front of the convenience store.

Clean and interesting concept! The assortment could probably be improved especially on the drinks section! The staff were friendly and helpful. Oh wait, is there supposed to be staff in the store?? ;)

Took away 2 starts as prices are still very high?? Why??? Being the only whole seller in Retail why are prices so HIGH? you have got technology you have got great customer experiences and still primary reason for people to go to store is to Buy and if items prices are high after 1 experience why would one come back??

This is so cool! The staff were so helpful showing us how it all works. Now we are pros and can shop conveniently with confidence. This would be perfect for someone slipping out of work on a break to grab a snack.

I love shopping on Amazon....Online. Not in this store or any other Amazon Go store ever again if my problem isn't fixed and it appears they don't want to. My first time at an Amazon Go store.. Absolutely horrible experience as well as customer service from the Amazon help line as far as resolving my problem. The best thing i could say was the front security was nice and able to explain how to enter the store. ,I did my research before going and the only reason that I took the train downtown to go to this store was because Amazon states that you can use your Amazon gift card balance to pay in the Amazon Go stores. I've received some Amazon gift cards and this seemed like a great idea. It's Christmas time and I would rather use my credit card and cash for presents, not for overpriced mediocre food and drinks, unless I'm paying with a gift card which would then be no problem. In the in store part of the Amazon app, you have the option to check a box that says always use gift card balance, which i did. Then to confuse or complicate matters , you also have to check another box again on the next page before entering to state you want to use your gift card balance. Why twice?! And not a whole lot of good it did anyways. I'm thorough and detail oriented luckily or so i thought , I noticed and checked the second box AGAIN confirming I would like to use my gift card balance. Assuming everything was good as I had done everything I should have done, and was paying with a free to me gift card balance, I splurged a bit with $6 coconut water and a few other things. Not outrageous but definitely not prices you would go out of your way to take the train to go to this store. All was charged to my credit card. I contacted customer service and received a call only to wait for a while and have to wade through the usual tons of automation questions just to be disappointingly disconnected without having ever talked to anyone. No big deal but strike two already. I tried the computer chat afterwards and once again you have to wade through a plethora of questions, with them trying to automate an answer for you before you can finally talk to someone live. Finally reaching a live text chat agent, they requested multiple information about the charges, which was difficult to navigate away to find because then the chat window would disappear. After being unable to help me (I'm seeing a pattern) they transferred me to a live person who said there was nothing they could do once it was charged to my credit card. Thanks for nothing. My first and last time visiting an Amazon go store. That's too bad. They could make more money because with gift cards people are less concerned about how much they spend. But in the end, it appears they don't care.

A very convenient way to return any needed Amazon purchases and quickly get something to eat or many available personal items. You must download the Amazon app before your first visit to a GO store. This allows you to enter the store, pick up anything you want and leave without any check out line. The items will go on your Amazon account and charged to your credit card on record. Also, if you are turning an item, you will immediately be greeted by attendant who will receive the item and quickly scan the corresponding tracking bar code on your phone. It does not get any easier thank this!

I understand that Amazon wants to make this a seamless experience, but even if you are an Amazon Prime member, you simply can’t walk in, grab what you want and leave with your credit card getting charged. The employees advise you to download yet another app and pair your account in that app to a credit card. This means that you will spend even more time standing there, downloading, then signing in, then grabbing what you want off the shelf and finally paying for it with a credit card. The drug store nearby is getting all of the cash business, debit card business and credit card business. A new city ordinance is making sure the folks that only have cash can shop here. That’s when I’ll return again.
