Amazônia Hostel

Hostel expensive for the quality! Quite far from the center, cleaning pretty bad, air conditioning frozen, and almost nothing for the breakfast if you don't claim. We didn't had a good experience with the staff : When we arrived on Saturday, the owner told us the next boat for Marajo will be on Monday so we had to stay two nights in Belem. We trusted him (we payed 2 nights), but soon we discovered that there is a boat on Sunday. I can't say if he cheated us or if he made a mistake... Too bad there the only hostel in the Lonely Planet. It must have a better option in Belém!!!

Good position but this is the only good thing. Dirty blankets, no toilet paper in the bathroom, extremely noisy and unsufficient fan in the dorm, no breakfast, no possibility to stay out after midnight (they close the main door and nobody can open). And the worst thing is that I paid 2 nights but I staied there just one and when I asked for the money of the second night the guy just told me "I have no money with me, I can't do nothing, you cannot ask now, you should have asked yesterday for your money. Now I don't have anything." with a very bad attitude not realising that he was the one who should give me a service not me! I just left my money and moved in another (beautiful and user-friendly) hostel.

Horrorosa. O banheiro é nojento, com os assentos quebrados, sem papel higiênico, nem saco na lixeira tinha. O box não fecha direito, fica uma brecha enorme. A água no ralo transborda e a gente não sabe o que é aquilo se é fossa ou não. Belém é muito quente e eles desligam o ar condicionado pela manhã, o wi-fi não funcionou enquanto estivermos lá. Lençol ruim, travesseiro ruim e eis que vem o pior problema: A cozinha. A cozinha não tem talher direito, é suja, nojenta; pela noite e pela manhã eles fritam pirarucu e o quarto e corredor ficam horas cheirando fritura, insuportável ficar no quarto e também insuportável ficar pela frente porque passam o dia todo fumando. No primeiro dia a moça limpou o banheiro com vinagre, porque nem pra limpar eles tinham. Horrível, não recomendo a ninguém, aliás a forma de pagamento é a pior possível e eles ficam lhe cobrando depósito e mesmo que n fique todos os dias não devolvem o dinheiro, horrível

Uma das experiências mais ruins que já tive em hostels. Desde o check in, onde é preciso esperar o proprietário te atender, até saída, onde se cobra check out com menos de 24h (o que é ilegal no Brasil), mesmo com o local vazio. O proprietário mora no local, senta na sua mesa de café da manhã sem pedir licença, como se você fosse visita e não hóspede pagante, não bate na porta antes de entrar no quarto... No mais, o quarto coletivo cheira mofo e as instalações do banheiro não são muito limpas, há pouco espaço nos boxes para tomar banho. O café da a manhã é bem pobre. A casa antiga é linda e precisa de reforma, mas pelo que cobra e oferece, melhor ficar a vontade em outros hostels mais simples que a cidade oferece. Uma pena, já tinha ficado aqui algumas vezes com outro proprietário, e tive experiências melhores.
