By Midnight, Oregon’s Mask Mandate Will Disappear. Restaurant Owners Feel Conflicted About That. | Eater Portland

"Owned by Kalvin Myint, Ambassador will allow patrons to enter maskless while still maintaining stringent sanitation of tables, chairs, menus, and doors and using social distancing tools such as robot servers and call buttons, in line with Myint’s stated intent to balance safety and the dining experience." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden

It’s been a little bit since we’ve moved, but let’s just say they were so great that I was wondering how they’re doing. I then realized I never left a well deserved review. Of course, any apartment complex has its quirks, but this place was great. It was beautiful, and most importantly, the staff was so nice. I miss them! If I had questions, they’d answer, if I ran into a problem, they’d do what they could. Fabiola even went above and beyond to help me with a parking issue. So thankful to have found that little gem. It was truly a great “first apartment experience that we’ll never forget!

THE AMBASSADOR apartments at 2100 West Commonwealth Ave. in West Fullerton, CA are known for two things: (1) PEACE & QUIET, and (2) NO CHILDREN. There are no parks or playgrounds, no BBQ pit areas, no benches or tables, no water drinking fountains, no public restrooms, no basketball courts, and the pool has no lifeguard. The Ambassador used to be an INN. Truck drivers and business travelers could find accomodations for more than a few days if need be. Today, it has been remodeled to almost ALL STUDIO APARTMENTS with limited availability to a handful of (1) BRs, and are meant for both young and older WORKING ADULTS. Most tenants with kids move out very quickly due to the noise complaints by veteran tenants. This complex is SO QUIET AND PEACEFUL that at 9:30 every night, you can hear the sound of fireworks coming all the way from Disneyland! DOGS ARE WELCOME, and the staff here are all very professional and very friendly. HOWEVER, if you have kids, this may not be the best place for them.

Five stars for the management & staff here ! They’re always very helpful and do their best to keep the complex clean and safe. The rent is also extremely affordable and includes all Utilities. The building is older, however they do their best to keep up with everything. The overall neighborhood, however is rough but no one ever bothered me they mind their business. I had an issue with my car there, however the manager went out of her way to ensure it didn’t happen again. Overall it did the job for the year i needed it.

Love living here! The apartment complex is very well kept and staff members are always ready to help.

Lived here for 1 year and I was pleasantly surprised at how decent it was for a cheap and ugly looking place. The neighborhood is very rough. Theres weird people roaming all times of the day and the parking situation is very sketchy. Exterior is very dirty and rough. Management does their best and they are very kind and helpful. Nothing bad ever happened to me and the neighbors are actually cool. Clean people and usually college kids or young couples.. This place could use heavy improvements but for the price i paid (1400) for everything (all utilities included) , it served its purpose and im so grateful for my time there. It was a blessing when that's all i could afford. Inside of the apartment is well kept. Not modern but for a rough exterior, the inside does extremely well. I wish the gates had locks to feel safer but that's about it.

I am currently a resident and I have never had a problem with Ambassador . Although, I will say there is a major parking problem! There are plenty of vehicles that don’t have a permit and still park in the premises. I just got a ticket yesterday and as a person who pays rent , I am upset that I can’t find a parking space. Management says they will take care of the problem or call the towing company but in all honesty I have never seen the tow truck nearby and everyone parks on red zones or places where parking is not allowed. In addition there are plenty of vehicles that are not operable and per contract can’t be on premises which again leaves no space for those that rent. Because of poor management those that actually pay rent can’t find a parking spot but other vehicles take up all parking spaces. So if you want to rent out at Ambassador I would say look somewhere else because you might leave frustrated at the parking situation.

I am a current resident at Ambassador apartment for 10 years now and I love it. Today I am loving it even more. I went to wash my laundry and I witnessed how MARCO MARTINEZ, the janitorial gentelman here, was cleaning the laundry room upside down...this guy is one of the maintenance here, and believe me, he is the ONLY one who does his job seriousley!!! and deserves his salary. I mean, when he is present, the whole complex is perfectly well maintained. But it is sad to say that on his days off none of his collegues would do anything, and that's because the others do not have a good Leader who is supposetly named TED. If thee maintenance had a good leader to teach them what mto do, we will have more of Marco!!! In these days, where flu and cold are in the air, seeing Marco sanitizing the laundry, every day, makes me feel Healthy and I trust that we will not be hit by sickness. Marco Martinez should be recognized as the Leader of this place. Management should hire people like him.

Overall very difficult place to live. It’s expensive for absolutely no reason and the apartment surroundings are highly populated with the homeless community. If you are a family with 2 or more cars...good luck. Ambassador only give you 1 parking sticker and the street parking is always full. Many of our neighbors cars have either been broken into or vandalized. The people who run the apartment won’t do anything about it (I suggest having REALLY GOOD insurance). The hotel...i mean apartment mangers are extremely unhelpful and will turn off your water and electricity without ANY notice (I’m talking for like half the day or more). Also, on their apartment listing they say no dog but that is all I see when I walk outside. People here are notorious for not cleaning up their dogs mess. I lived here with my boyfriend for a year and we were done with this place half way through our lease. Please make note of this review before considering giving your hard earned money to this place. It’s REALLY not worth it.

Yelp
ROACHES! I lived here for 5 years and loved it at first. I watched it go downhill over my time living here get dirtier and dirtier and more unsafe. I did not have a roach problem the first 3 years and all of a sudden it got so bad I kept complaining. I kept my apartment so clean and once the roaches started it was so hard to feel clean anymore in my own home as you'd see them crawling up your wall by your bed, in your kitchen drawers, everywhere you look. more and more would appear even if you have traps. After complaining for so long, a maintenance guy told me "a new tenant moved in and brought roaches with him" but that's hard to believe when the entire complex had an issue. My toilet/bathtub flooded 4-5 times flooding my apartment ruining alot of my belongings, created mold under the floor and my apartment to smell, and all they would do was come vaccum the water, put a fan for it to dry, and that was "fixing it". A few weeks later it would happen again. It got to the point where it was so bad that I would come home at night and my apartment had been sitting under water for hours. At one point my upstairs neighbor was taking a shower and my ceiling got all soggy and was leaking water into the light fixture, and they never fixed it. All they did was come change the lightbulb.. I was waiting for the day my bathroom ceiling would come crumbling down. It took years of complaining and things happening multiple times for them to finally do something about it. Management here is nice, but you really have to hound them and bother them for ANYTHING to get done somewhat properly. They seem to be understanding when you complain but don't do much to actually solve the issues. I felt somewhat safe inside my apartment as a young girl who lived alone, but the second you step outside not so safe anymore especially at night. They don't inforce parking at all, so so many random people are always parked for days at a time with no permit so the actual residents don't get a parking spot if you get there after like 5-6pm. With how much rent we pay this isn't fair. And hope and pray nothing happens to your car with the sketchy/homeless people always in the parking lot. You can't walk anywhere in the complex without some random person staring at you or potentially following you either. Cops are always here, people are always fighting or yelling and it's just not somewhere I would ever suggest anyone to live. Was so happy to move out of this place.

Yelp
The roach thing is a real issue at the moment no matter what you will have roaches. Lived here for years and haven't had much issue but in this past year it has exploded and is a heavy infestation. Cant be me being dirt when I dont have anything in my apartment because of the bugs .

Yelp
ROACH INFESTED!!! My boyfriend and I lived here and the amount of roaches you would see on the daily was unbelievable the babies especially! They even live behind the counters so when you open your drawers in the kitchen their molt is inside with all your silverware. That's the only major problem we had other than the water being out at least once a month and there is no assigned parking. People park there that don't have a parking sticker and management does nothing about it. You have to fight for parking and you have people parking in the alley essentially blocking you in so you have to find a way to maneuver yourself out especially if you have a truck. Not to mention the crack heads that literally live in the car port and also sometimes sleep in the laundry facilities. And there seems to be a reoccurring issue with people getting their wheels stolen? I wouldn't recommend living here to ANYONE.

Daisy A.

Yelp
Every Thursday the landscapers come at exactly 7:15am and mow till 9 am. If you ever get packages and the mail delivers them to the front office Goodluck getting it they either never let you know you received a package or say you don't have a package when it was delivered there.

Yelp
If you plan to move here, you better have very good credit or don't both applying. Save that $25 application per person fee. Deposit is $800 plus rent. Place is a bit run down on the outside but the studios are not bad. They are tiny but for $1155, it isn't expensive for Cali ( all utilities included). Don't bother with a fridge because each place comes with a mini fridge ( you will not have room for a regular fridge). There is no sink in the restroom and there is no oven. The pool is being redone. Pretty quiet community and aside from the rundown look, the grass itself is well kept up. The area isn't GREAT and this isn't a close gated community. Buy a CLUB for your car and have an alarm. Again, the price isn't bad but you do get what you pay for.

Yelp
I lived here for almost 2 years pre Covid. I moved out for a year due to losing my job. Once I was back on my feet in 2022 I moved back in. I love the community. The apartment is just enough for my dog and I. The management is helpful and friendly. I definitely consider this community my home.

Robin D.

Yelp
The maintenance guys will mow the lawn for a whole hour everyday at 7:45 AM for no good reason. I hate it here one of the worst places I've ever lived. The apartments are dirty enough, why do they have to cause a noise disturbance every morning rather than working on issues that would raise property value like the bug and mold problem.

Yelp
Well, the honeymoon is over. It has been exactly a year to the date that I have moved into the Ambassador Inn, Fullerton. First let me say what I love about my stay here. It is always quiet for such a large complex. I am fortunate to be living between quiet neighbors. I hope I have been the same. The laundry facilities are nice with new and large machines. The pool is nice. The exercise room has been under construction/closed since I have been here. They have only recently opened maybe December. There is a key for the treadmill which is kept in the front office. We have to get a key from the front office to use the treadmill. Guess what? The hours that I work, the office is closed so I can't use the treadmill because I work. The parking rules have changed right in the middle of my lease agreement. Before, I was allowed to have guest park anytime with a parking permit. Now guests has to leave after 10 pm. With that said, I was told that I could not park my rental car there after 10pm. Management suggested that I park my rental car (registered to me) in the neighborhood behind the complex. Meaning that I would have to walk through an alley. I am a single woman living alone. I was told the only reason I could park my rental car temporarily in the parking lot where I reside was if my own car had been in an accident and I had to show proof. She literally asked me why did I rent a car? I have tried contacting Anza Management Company but I have not had any luck. My free air conditioning/heater has been down for two weeks. I have contacted the office about this matter, with promises of a new one being installed. It has been 3 weeks without a word one word regarding this matter. I believe I am being ousted by management because of the parking issue and me attempting to contact Anza Management Company. The jury is still out on that. My car was broken into in September 2017. Management allowed me to view the security cameras. They witnessed it on the video tapes but the quality of the cameras was so poor the we could not see the face of the thief but you can see the act. There was no apology or compensation from the front office regarding this incident by the way. They went up on my rent only after me living here for a year; the services are not improving and they are actually declining. Because of litigation, I am not going to talk about the bed bugs...... I still like my cute apartment. It is still very quiet. The grounds are still beautiful. Sorry in advance for the long review, but I like to be truthful about my reviews because I take other reviews into consideration when I patronize businesses. Word of mouth is the best form of recommendations.

Yelp
I have been living here for two weeks. I will also keep this updated. So far so good. I can definitely confirm the crazy guy for sure. He's definitely a yeller and likes to hug trees. Though not required, definitely getting renters insurance. Place is mostly quiet other than little kids on Tuesday's in my neck of the woods. Some chill ass people though, couple cuties, couple creeps. It's a big ass apt complex. Wish the parking lot would be repaved and the kitchen had a range hood and garbage disposal and front door had a security door. Those are my biggest gripes. If your moving in don't forget to ask for the names of the paint colors so when you move out you can go and do the touch ups. Updated Also purchase your own door weatherstripping to add because the doors are so warped do to age and sun that they don't seal well at all. So much dust gets in this way. Updated Place definitely has a transient issue whereas they walk the premises unchecked. And go through the trash cans everyday. I've seen two car break ins and read about one stolen catalytic converter. Not sure if it's because of covid-19 and people are losing their shit but I would also like the apt complex to install locked gates with key card or key and actual legit security cameras. *Rolling security gates at the entrances for cars are not a viable option. No one owns the alleyway.* I've already seen the two or three they have scattered about and It Suffices to say it's very obvious they have extremely poor resolution. New windows wouldn't hurt either. All in all my five star review has dropped to a four star but the price is right.

Yelp
I been living in this place a little over a year, I am very please with our management, when ever I got a problem just need to go to the office and they send someone to fix it as soon as possible, manager definitely cares for this place , for personal reason I need to move out but if I have a chance in the future I positive move back to this place . thank you. Fabiola. Manager of the place , and all you team. I am very thankful to you guys

Yelp
my car was broken into and when I asked for camera footage from the leasing office they just said the camera is not working and tried very little to help. And when I asked if they could fix it so I feel safe in the neighborhood and they said THEY DONT WANT TO omg.... hilarious

Yelp
The parking is worse. They don't have designated parking lot for per unit. It comes first come first serve. Meaning in the per unit if you have 2 car of more than you can allowed to park it because first come first serve. How about the resident? He don't have parking because someone is already park.

Yelp
Ambassador apartment lived here for 12 years, and yes you might think im crazy living in this 2-3 star apartment. First, this apartment complex is not suitable for family and for people who like extra space and luxurious amenities (large refrigerator, range, dishwasher etc). This is a sort of a minimalist, basic stuff to live for a one or two people. Which means if you like family gathering and visitors this is not for you. Second, there is always issues with water since it's an old structure and pipes are old, however if you don't like to experience these issues better look somewhere else. My purpose living in this little studio apartment is to save and get closer to work. Utilities are included, I can open my aircon and my lights 24/7. The only issue I have is the internet, they only provide AT&T services, which you could not upgrade to a faster speed because the wires are not updated. So far I have no issues with the management, they're very nice TO ME, they cater to what I needed to be fix in the apartment and so far, they are prompt of doing it. "Be nice and they will definitely be nice to you". As to my neighbors, it is a variety of people with different personalities. Just IGNORE the ones that are needed to be in the "mental hospital" (joke), they have their moments. I will definitely missed this place even its small, I find it quiet, clean and pet friendly.

Ava F.

Yelp
If you are looking for a studio apartment keep looking. The water pipes are always busted so that means NO hot water for 2-3 days. The ac/heater unit always breaks down and when they fix it they use electrical tape to put it back together and the parking is horrible after 7pm. People have been parking in the alley and homeless people are always digging in the trash dumpsters and furniture is always left behind when people move out.

Yelp
By all means avoid renting from this Hell Hole !!!!! Crime is through the ROOOFF! Everything I thought was exagerated about this place is all true. In less than a year, I have had my car vandalized twice!! First time all four tires were slashed and just this morning I found my two back tires stolen. 5 months ago 30 cars had been vandalized all in the same night!! 30 CARS!!!!! I took my complaint to the leasing office but they just dont care and tell you its not their problem. Knowing how much crime there is here they should offer some type of security such as serveilance or a gaurd. They just dont care. Another thing that turned out to be VERY true is the water heater goes out every month. If you decide to rent from this cheap motel just expect to not have hot water everyday. Another crazy rule that they recently enforced was 1 parking per studio. Any cars parked in the complex without a permit will be towed. Not even guest parkings is available. PLEASE TAKE MY ADVICE AND DONT LIVE HERE!!!!!

Mirna C.

Yelp
Ambassador Inn is a great place to live in and the staff is very helpful and friendly. I lived there for about 9 months before I had to leave for personal reasons but even the neighbors are friendly and kind. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a small and welcoming place.

Bill G.

Yelp
Well looks like the nice lady lied. She never sent the email, she hasn't contacted me at all regarding vacancies and it's been awhile. So I'm changing my mind on the rating.

andrea l.

Yelp

Caren J.

Yelp
I lived here for a year with my husband, I'm personally from Orange County and I could not find a place this cheap anywhere. All of the people in the office and with the maintenance team were so nice to us. Always fixed any issues we had, like adjusting the amount of hot water or a clogged sink. Parking was a little hard since they only give you one parking pass but that's only if you get off work past 8pm, but there is plenty of street parking. The best part of this apartment was having a 7-11 right next to us for snacks and the post office on the other end of the apartments. We relocated to another city just to be closer to family. If you want an affordable place with a good management team, this is where you'll find it. Yes it is a little small but we made it work, you just have to find ways to make things fit. I did a lot of YouTube searching for "how to organize items in my small apartment". The one bad experience we had that never could be fixed was the thin walls. Our neighbors moved out and new people moved in who watched their grandchildren. I could never sleep in or take a midday nap on my days off. Those kids were so loud. Other than that, we had a great experience. We are very thankful for this apartment complex! Before living here, we rented a room in an apartment and they were racist towards my husband. I needed to find a place ASAP. I luckily found ambassador inn within a week, applied the same day and were approved within the next week. Moved in right away. So when I say we appreciate the office staff, we really mean this. We are extremely grateful.

Yelp
I lived here for 1.5 years and had very few problems. I know that other cars were vandalized but thankfully mine was not. Yes the water does get turned off about once a month, but its an old building so they are constantly fixing the pipes. The ladies at the office are super sweet and were always helpful when I needed something. It is definitely annoying to that a residents and randoms alike dig through the garbage for recyclables but I dont think anything can be done about that. Overall, I had a good experience. It was nice that all utilities were included which really came in handy during the summer so I could run the AC without worry. Also the pool and fitness center are nice to have.

Yelp
I've lived here for 3.5 years and I've had a great experience. The complex grounds are kept very nice. It reminds me of a park. The best part is it is so quiet. The apt was very clean and I love the vinyl flooring throughout my apt because it's very low maintenance and it looks great. I've only had to call for maintenance once due to plumbing but the office staff was quick to have someone come and fix it. The office staff are so helpful and friendly and so is the manager. This is my last month here but only because I got a new job in san diego but I wouldn't hesitate to move back if I ever transfer back to Orange County. Thank you ambassador apartments for making these last 3 years feel like home. Gracias por todo!

Yelp
I also lived here for a year. I can attest to the problems with getting management to fix things. I had to threaten to repair on my own and deduct from rent to get them to fix our oven that was running at 500 degrees. After that, our air conditioner broke in the heat of summer. After consistent pestering, the manager informed me that they had to check with every other apartment the company owned to see if anyone had the needed parts before they could order the part. When we moved out, we left the apartment looking better than when we moved in and we still lost about half of our deposit because they charged us for cleaning (which probably only included someone vacuuming the already vacuumed space with a burned out vacuum to cover the smell of cat pee that was stuck in the carpet from the previous tenant). If you live here, the California's Tenant Handbook and your lease are your friends. They know they law, but they'll operate like they don't unless you confront them with it. They even tried to make us stay a month after our lease ended, because they tried to say we couldn't give our 30 day notice until the last day of our lease.

Yelp
Don't even bother living here. Too expensive for what it is and the neighborhood is not too good. You have been warned!

Yelp
I sadly turned in my keys today to Ambassador Inn apartments. I'm getting married in January and am making plans for the future but would like to take some time to review this complex. Fabiola and her assistant have been absolutely wonderful to me. They took my concerns, while I was living at Ambassador seriously and any fix or problem with apartment I was experiencing was addressed in a more than timely manner. I had lived at Ambassador for 10 years. My studio was cozy and quiet and I had never had any problems with my car being vandalized and the complex's recent addition of a security officer was an added plus. The laundry rooms have always been kept relatively clean and the hours you could wash are reasonable for a person, like myself who works second shift. The grounds over 10 years have always been kept beautifully and I have had the fortune of being in between two quiet neighbors. My move out was no fuss and was streamlined perfectly and I will be receiving most of my deposit back. Please take some time for yourself to check out Ambassador. The utilities are free and basic cable is completely affordable. Overall, I am completely satisfied. Thank you Ambassador

Justin N.

Yelp
I lived at Ambassador Apartments for the past two years. Management team is kind and helps to the best of their ability. Rent is more than reasonable because all of the utilities are included. For a studio apartment, it gets the job done. The mini fridge worked for me and I used a toaster oven and microwave. The community is not gated and parking can be a hassle especially at night. Like the other reviews said, lock your car and get a bar for the steering wheel. I would recommend parking near the front office in a well lit area. The pool was recently redone. There are two laundry rooms located on each end of the complex. Everyone who lives there tend to mind there own business and are friendly for the most part. Overall, I would recommend this place. They do tours of the model apartment and of the grounds also. See what works for you and weigh your options.

Andres S.

Yelp
I have lived at The Ambassador inn for a little over 2 years now. This apartment complex is entirely studio apartments. All utilities included. All you pay is your monthly rent and the rent price is decent. It is expensive in southern California anywhere you go. This place is great for single people or couples just saving money to move on to a bigger place. It is a great place to start out. The apartments are actually quite spacious. They keep the landscape well maintained. Their grass is greener than the city's grass. I love that they have two laundry rooms, located on the far east and west sides of the complex so that the walk to use the facilities are fast and the machines are new and I have hardly ever had to wait to use them. And there is a 711 only a 2 minuet walk away and the post office is right next to the east side of the complex. The parking does get a little crowded after 8:00pm. If you come home very late you might have to park on the far side of the complex and have to walk 2 or 3 minuets to your apartment depending where it is. It is not a big deal. I have never seen the place run out of parking completely. There is always parking despite what some of the reviews say. Yes, there is a big homeless population around the area and the druggie population in west Fullerton is big, period. The solution to this is do not leave anything of value in your car and always lock your doors and roll up your windows. I think that is common sense. Do not give people temptation to break in. The only reason I am leaving this place is because I am getting married next month so I need a bigger place. Otherwise I would stay here for many more years. I loved my stay here and will actually miss this place when I move out in a couple weeks. It was peaceful. My neighbors are very nice people and everyone seems to just mind their own business and be quiet. I hear rumors sometimes about people who like to complain a lot about this place and say the management is not doing x,y, or z but I have never had a problem with anything while I lived here. The entire staff that works here are awesome, have great work attitudes and were always willing to help with whatever I have asked about. Fabiola the manager is a very nice, caring lady who takes her job very seriously. I get the impression that a lot of the people who complain about this apartment complex are just people with entitlement issues. So in closing; My stay here was great and I would definitely recommend this place to live.

Yelp
I have lived at The Ambassador apts several times. I was living there before I moved to San Fransisco and when I came back after 6 months I returned. I travel alot for work so it was perfect with all utilities paid, 55 basic cable channels, workout room, clean pool and very quiet. I ended up having to move out because i moved to LA but I never had any problems when I lived here and always felt safe. My car was never broken into and my apt never needed any maintenance. I would leave my blinds open most of the time when I wasn't home and sometimes even my window and my apt was never bothered. I lived in front of the waterfall and loved the sound of the water. Management was always super nice and helpful and I had my apt fixed up so cute, and yet it did not look too small even though all they have are studios. The water did get turned off a few times but they had it back on as soon as possible and really that is not so bad considering all the good. They keep up the lawn and landscape so it always looks very peaceful and they keep the laundry room clean.

This place has cheap rent. that's the only good thing about this place. the water didn't work constantly especially hot water. that's my first complaint. Parking is terrible if you don't come up before 6~7pm. and do not park in the front, I got a ticket for overnight parking. wasn't informed of that... I lived here for a year and I'd recommend that you pay little more elsewhere. the staff is terrible. the manager, Lee, he will rip you off. He is terrible. staff is not trained well. I had to pay for a mistake that staff made in my move-out contract. Lee refused to help and still made me pay for the mistake that he admitted that his staff made. He is unreasonable because he agrees that I should pay for his staff's mistake. In return he offered to be easy on me when he does my move out inspection. So i spent two days cleaning my apartment and honestly, it was crappy in the beginning and I actually think i cleaned it as clean if not cleaner, than how it was when i first moved in. Lee took away 60% of my security deposit... he commented my stove was dirty, but it was "shiny clean" because I had used the stove with aluminum foil wrapped up. I completely disagree with his review of my move out condition. he made it sound like he was gona charge me about a $100 at most just to get me pay for the mistake his staff made. after i moved out, I had missed my time there.... today after receiving this check, it made me not miss Ambassador Inn at all. I'm not even gona waste my time going back to talk to Lee, he wants to steal money so I should stay away from him. and so should you, there's a reason why this place has 4 reviews now, and all four reviews with 1 star. don't let the cheap rent fool you because Lee will eventually get his money back from you.

Yelp
I lived at the Ambassador Apartments for a year and a half. I have to say that it was quite pleasant living there. My rent did go up after the year lease but I guess that was expected. Other than that, never had any vandalism issues, maintenance issues were always taken care of, and the place was maintained flawlessly. I would definitely go back if I had the opportunity.

Yelp
Wow... I'm highly impressed with the Ambassador Inn right now!! The last couple years were rough, but in the last few months there has been a change in management and staff. The previous manager and assistant manger are no longer working there. In just two months the new manager has already improved the conditions of the property. He is also very attentive to the needs of all the residents, everytime I need something done - whether it be a light replaced or my AC fixed he's on it. They even have a new maintenance manager living on site - they've never had that before. I even heard they will be hiring security... The fitness center is up to par, the swimming pool is huge, they pay ALL utilities, and they even pay for cable TV. Who does that?? I love this place!! For just under $900/mo Ambassador Inn is legit. Lets face it, the neighborhood may not be that great, but for the price we pay it can't be beat. Plus dwntwn fullerton is a 5 min drive down the block. After reading older Yelp reviews I was kinda scared... but my hat goes off to the Ambassador Inn and especially their new staff!! I'm stoked, Thanks!

Yelp
Yes, Ambassador Inn is a hotel. That is why you cannot transfer your address to a new residence. I lived there for about a year and when I moved, I was unable to forward my address because Ambassador Inn is still registered as a hotel, no matter how fancy they try to dress it up. It sucks because I wish I would have known prior to moving there. That is also why it is so easy to get evicted there. You do not get a grace period to catch up if you run behind due to economic changes. For example, I wasn't able to be a week behind on rent when I was laid off. But you know what, as quoted by Douglas Adams, "you live you learn". Also, I d like to point out that everything stated about the issues at Ambassador Inn is true regarding the recycling of appliances that go bad. Just think about it though, that what hotels do. Instead of fixing appliances to work better, the staff just reuse air conditioners, heaters or even parts are taken from the rooms that are not in use. As hotels do to save money, the appliances or equipment are fixed for a temporary situation. I will say however, that I moved prior to the break inns and the vandalism of cars. What was strange was, when I first moved to Ambassador Inn, I appreciated the changes they were trying to meet. I mean for a time, your neighbors were actually classy. At that time Dianna was part of start. I am not sure what role she played there I just know she worked there. Then, all of the sudden the climate changed. What was once beautiful, bright, with a lot of sunshine changed to cloudy with a chance of grey. And not the cloudy and grey that can turn out to be a romantic night. Right before I moved, the clientele started to change. But, who am I to notice stuff like that. From the other reviews however, its a good thing I left when I did. Sorry you guys had to endure that.

Yelp
Yet another review. I no longer live in this hell hole, they gave me a 60 day notice to leave, then told me that if I didn't want to pay another month to be out on the 1st of the month (that was 15 days from the notice.) They never gave a reason why we were wanted to move. I did a little digging, this place is NOT registered as an apartment complex, it is registered as a motel, because of this they handle your mail, also, because of this I am not able to forward my address because it would be forwarding the mail from a business not a residence. They do not have their building licensing up to date and buyer beware, they plan on raising their rent to $1045 by the end of this year. The pool is not well maintained and in my almost 5 years there the jacuzzi was still never fixed nor was there an attempt. The complex goes through managers like most people change their underwear, it is ridiculous. The pictures are VERY misleading. That pool does NOT look like that, it's cold, and dirty. The gym is falling apart, the apartments are only conducive to one person being there, but let me tell you, you do not want to live in that complex by yourself. Just DON'T DO IT! STAY AWAY!

Yelp
I just moved out of this place on March 31 after living there for a year and a half. I gave an initial deposit of $1400, and I was told by Jackie of the office staff that if I didn't want to mop or scrub, it would only be $45. And then there was an additional $15 for the fridge to be clean. I opted to clean just the fridge and save 15 bucks, but that didn't happen. I took 2 hours to clean that little fridge, and it was SPOTLESS when I was done. However, they still deducted $15 from my check as well as $75 for cleaning the place. So Jackie flat out lied to me. Amy the manager tried to give me some lame excuse as to why they kept the fridge money, but it was just BS. And she admitted that Jackie lied to me. On top of that, they kept an extra $25 for not giving 30 days notice. I actually gave 32 days notice, but they said they'll supposedly send me the $25 adjustment. We'll see about that. The nonreturn of my deposit really soured what was a decent time here in Fullerton...But then again my car was broken into during the first month I was there.

Yelp
rent is cheap here, but i doubt it should be categorized as a hotel. it's more like an apartment. the units don't come with furniture and there is no guaranteed parking for each unit (there is, instead, a sacrifice; and killing.."

Yelp
I finally moved out in Jan. 2012 after living there for 6 years, never miss it, never wanna go back. Don't live there unless you are jobless or homeless, the worst you can ever have in your life. As other comments say, they only want your money.

Yelp
I totally agreed with Cherish C.. DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT RENTING THIS PLACE !! My bf lived there for almost a year.. we tried soo hard to finish up the contract\. DON'T LET THE PRICE FOOL YOU!!! YOU WILL END UP PAYING MORE DUE TO DAMAGE TO YOUR CAR (VERY UNSAFE PLACE), NO WATER, NO ELECTRICITY. We tried to contact the office multiples time to advice them that they should notify us if there is no water or hot water.. (yea maybe one or two times they will) but most of the water shutdown is WITHOUT notice. Expect no water for at least twice a week. They said there is plenty of parking BUT that's not the story!! UNLESS YOU GET BACK HOME BEFORE 6PM.. OR ELSE YOU MIGHT END UP PARKING ON THE STREET OR THE POST OFFICE NEXT DOOR! (Shawna actually told us to park there) and guess what happened? Our car got tow onces and break in onces in the apartment parking area. We told them about it and its don't seems to care . We tried to speak to their manager Dana..but she is even worst!!! THE FUNNY THINGS IS THAT AFTER WE MOVED OUT..THEY FILE A CLAIM SAYING THAT WE OWE THEM RENT!!! HAHAHA~~ THIS IS SOO CRAZY. SO SCAM!! Lucky, I kept all my documents and receipt agreement after we moved out. But they still insist that we owe them cleaning amount when the place is fully clean. Well... maybe I should file a complain to them to claim damage they made to us while living there.. ( I have enough documentation to do so if they keep bugging me)

Yelp
Yep, this place sucks the big one. They charged for running two credit reports, yet only used one--(the not so good one) vs the one with a credit score of 786 to say not accepted. Glad to read all the reviews, and yes, they are a rip off and glad that it was turned down because it definitely paints a different picture on the reviews than what the guy at the desk indictated. I do not suggest you go here to look for a place to live, not event short term like I was looking for.

Yelp
This is the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in!! It is disgusting and there are homeless people hanging around everywhere. It is a very unsafe area to live in Fullerton. I strongly recommend picking somewhere else to stay. Do not even waste your time coming to this broken-down excuse for an apartment complex. If not for my 12 month lease, I would have been out of here long before now. The studio apartments are horrible, the parking is dark and unsafe, and the thin walls make it seem like your neighbors are inside your apartment with you. Do yourself a favor and find better place to stay, especially if you have children. You will truly regret signing a contract here. Sincerely, unsatisfied resident.

Yelp
I lived at the Ambassador Inn Apartments for over 4 years and it was a very good experience. My car was always safe, my neighbors were always kind, and the management is extremely helpful and quick to address any issues you might have. The onsite staff is very friendly and they are available 7 days a week, which is very good for peace of mind. I had to move for work relocation, but if it wasn't for that, I would have stayed right there in my old apartment. And if I ever get back to the Fullerton area, I would definitely move back in. I recommend Ambassador Inn to anybody looking for a safe, comfortable place to live. Also, it's about a $6 Uber ride to Downtown Fullerton, and there are some great spots down there. I hope this helps. Good luck on your search.

Yelp
DO NOT MOVE HERE! If you're considering it, just don't. The low rent and paid utilities is seductive, but it's absolutely not worth it. I've Lived there for the last 9 months, and honestly, the apartment wasn't that bad. It is filthy, there is trash everywhere in the parking area, and it smells of garbage constantly. There are bugs and spiders constantly living in balconys and no one does anything. I had to wait a soild In November of 2010 they issued parking permits that somewhat fixed the parking problem. BUT the management is so slimy and crooked, especially the main manager LEE. I signed a 12 month lease, a normal occurrence for renters, but I got accepted to a graduate school program out of state and needed to move out a few months early. I decided to be honest with the management and ask if there was anything I could do about my lease, and they said no, that there was no buy out for the lease... shitty, but still ok. Then the manager told me that as long as someone on my lease was paying my rent then everything was ok. I asked many questions about if a person I found to add to my lease would have to do a credit check, and what would happen when the lease officially ended and the person wanted to stay. So I found someone to take over. We went to the office to have him added to the agreement, he even paid for the $25 credit check. A week later Lee called the new potential renter to tell him that he could not move in, but gave him no reason. I called the manager, and he told me there was a decision to not change the lease agreement, and told me that he didn't know who made the decision. Furthermore, he insisted that he never told me that it would have been possible to add another person to my lease. After insisting that I be given the name and the contact information for the person who made the decision not to change my lease agreement, he finally admitted that it had been his decision. I asked why he had told me he didn't know, but he had no answer. He outright lied to me twice in 10 minutes. Sadly, I've had to contact the BBB and am looking to contact the Association of Renters. This place is horrible, and it's absolutely because of the management.

Yelp
I have been living here for about 3 years and ive never had a complaint except when the some of the leasing consultants were really rude except the new girl (ashley) who i believe has been working here for about 3-5 months im not exactly sure but she is a sweet heart and so is the new manager (ana) these girls are the best!! But i dont understand all these negative comments!! The thing abou the hot water being out was not anyones fault, but the water heater was old what do you expect this was a motel before and as far as i and everyone else knows they replaced the whole unti!! also about your deposit, the only time you have a high deposit is if you have bad credit and if you dont get your whole deposit back is because you damaged your apartment which again isnt ambassadors fault nor the staffs fault for something you did. Also every apartment complex will charge you for paint and shampoo so no matter where you go you will NEVER get your whole deposit back!! I did have trouble parking a couple times but all you have to do is report it to the office and they will send the tow guy out to tow any car that doesnt have a parking permitt on it!! See the problem with these complaints is that people love to complain but they never go into the office to say anything they rather keep there mouths closed and complain to everyone else about things to people who cant do anything to help the situation!! they need to report there problems to proper authorities!!! Also another thing is that if your having problems with your car being vandalized and broken into then you need to report that to the police because it says in our lease that this is a non security building meaning if you have vandalism and break ins happening then you need to report that to the police ( again with notifying the proper authorities)

Yelp
do not move here..yeah the rent is cheap and includes utilities even cable...but the main manager lee is totally disrespectful, and doesnt get things done like a real manager is supposed to. i have lived there for about 5 months and currently looking for a new place. the hot water gets shut off about twice a week with no notice, lee's excuse is that "there's a flooding in another apartment" its already been numerous times and the problem is still not fixed, it should have been fixed the first time. lee is lazy and just going around the problem instead of getting to the point. then he has the nerve to write on notices to go and use an empty apartment to take hot showers, and that is very unsanitary. do not move here, lee is a horrible manager and needs to get fired

Yelp
I lived there for over six months, closer to nine months really. In the whole time there they did not ONCE come and fix anything that I had issues with (including the fact that my a/c froze after being on for only an hour at a time), the water was CONSTANTLY shut off with a note on the door (MAYBE 24 hours in advance if you were lucky, sometimes no advance at all!) warning that it would be shut off for hours the next day, hot water ran cold over 50% of the time, you are lucky if you find parking and if you are stuck under the trees, beware of nasty spiders trying to enter the car with you in the morning, and to top it all off the management is a set of ignorant donkeys rears that don't give a dang about anything but themselves. Then the on-site manager that doesn't even speak English well enough to hold a low level conversation! Dana the head manager? She is the worst of all! Makes appointments with you and does nothing to show, no warning that she wont be there and you only find out AFTER you get there, and then doesn't even follow up of course! She didn't even send in my change of address since I couldn't do it myself because this was once a hotel and is under the business standards of address change. She made it so I almost did not receive my tax paperwork. I asked for where to make complaints and there was no answer, just asking my name and number and telling me there was nothing or no one for me to contact, then I asked to speak to someone I could understand better since this man had a heavy asian accent, and he muddled out "Jeu cont undertant me den here...CLICK"...Wonderful place if you feel like living in a fire breathing hell hole. Save your time effort and money because in the long run they take more money than they save you!!!

Yelp
The new management company Anza has an agenda of getting rid of the folks who have been here prior to them taking over.. The on site manager Amy is just a figure head. She makes no attempt to correct anything that pertains to Resident safety. There is no security at this complex. They have security gates that are not used any one can just walk in and use the pool, the laundry facility. There are transients who sleep on furniture left out by the dumpters or in the carports. They also sleep in the laundry room on the floor. The parking lot and carports are not lighted well enough and residents are at risk for personal safety. The first year I lived here over 30 cars/trucks were broken into or the catalytic converters were stolen. In the last year over 20 cars/trucks were tagged with graffitie. Again management has made no attempt to correct this issue. They are only intrested in collecting the rent. For over a year the pool lights have not worked even after the manager was informed. This is a state mandated issue that they have to be on from dusk to dawn for the protection of anyone swimming at night. The pool here is open 24/7 to the residents. I would not recommend this complex to anyone even though the rent is very low, the cost to your personal property out ways the low rent.
