Always my first choice for Chinese cuisine in the Amsterdam area. Really authentic and cooked with heart. The ambience is nice as well. They offer a seasonal menu that changes every few months. The menu includes dim sum, spicy dishes, noodles, and dumplings. There are also some vegetarian and vegan options. 🌱 The wine list is also well-curated and full of great selections. The service is excellent — the man in the black shirt has strong knowledge of wine 🍷, and the man with blonde hair offers warm, welcoming service.

As much as I love food from every culture I crave for something that is familiar and comforting. ❤️ This place definitely hit the spot! Although hard to compare to the copious amounts of Asian restaurants we are spoiled with here in Vancouver, it was pretty dang good!

Somewhat disappointing. We asked the patron to provide us with some starters before the Peking duck arrived. We were given some nice options, but were surprised by a starter with Peking duck skin and caviar. Some consultation before bringing the most expensive supplement on the menu would have been nice. The ordered Chablis from 2021, €90 a bottle, turned out to be a 2023. When confronted about this, we were told that the 2023 costs almost the same. As compensation, we received a glass of red wine. Neatly arranged, but it was all just not quite right. The Peking duck, which everyone raves about, was on the dry side. At the end of the dinner I wondered whether this was really worth the €330 we spend. I suspect not.

My fav Chinese place in the Netherlands, as a Chinese :) My partner and I had a super sweet story with Amber garden. when we left the restaurant yesterday after dining there, we forgot my valentine's flower there - after calling the restaurant, the boss of the restaurant decided to drive all his way to bring the flower back to us! It was almost midnight and 40km of driving, so we were so surprised and grateful. Other than that, their food has been always so good and authentic since my first time dining there back to 2021. Amazing service, waiters are all super friendly and professional. Nice environment, decorated in both modern and traditional Chinese way. Best Peking duck you find in NL. Seasonal menu always surprises me, especially the chicken broth with Chinese bamboo. Don't miss out their house made Chinese appetizers and dessert!

Fantastic modern Chinese restaurant, beautifully designed with spacious interior, top notch food and great wine list. What is there not to like? My favorite 2 dishes from last night came from the seasonal menu which I highly recommend, but really all the dishes including the classic like Beijing Duck are great. A place I always happily come back to!

A wonderful restaurant with amazing menu and delicious food! Authentic Chinese cuisine with amazing service right in the middle of amstelveen! I went with my family for dinner and it was a surprise to me to have such a special place near by where we don’t have to have a long ride to go to a nice restaurant. Now for food, the hot and sour soup was delicious, loaded with black pepper and can be made vegetarian Dumplings and dem sum is definitely the star of the show and probably why i will be visiting again! I had a vegetarian one filled with mushrooms and the kids had a lamb one and shrimps one. All was 10/10 For the main course we all were almost full, portions are quite large so I guess order less as it’s quite full filling. Seabass was delicious and the veggies were so made to perfection!

Such an amazing Chinese restaurant! The food is delicate and tasteful. Many options that are all freshly made. Great service as well. Really a great time spent at that place. New flavours discovered!

The food here met our high expectations. As a Michelin star restaurant, they had a lot of great and unique dishes. The wine list has many options. We started with some dim sum and peppery hot and sour soup, which served as a nice appetizer. Then we really enjoyed the full Peking duck. The accompanying & optional duck skin dish with caviar was over the top and not worth the extra attention and cost. The spicy Radish cake with XO sauce was my favorite and the scallion pancake with pork was a close second. The fried fish was mostly fried and less fish-still had a lot of flavor. The service was impeccable. I would return again to try the other dishes.

Amber Garden is an award-winning, ex-Michelin restaurant serving authentic yet elevated Chinese food by Head Chef Song. Each dish was executed well with an appreciation to different regions of China. I particularly enjoyed the snow crab salad, Beijing duck, and beef short ribs. I'm getting hungry just thinking about how beautiful yet tasty these dishes were! I was shocked at how empty it was and highly recommend you check them out.

Really great food and service, if you dont mind a 2.5h dinner. It's the Dutch way... Everything gets cooked from scratch; so it tastes amazing. Best duck ever! Everything a bit on the sweet side. But great ambiance and music. Had a fabulous evening
