Ambi's Chai Bar Sydney

Really cool and unique boutique venue adjacent to Wynyard. They have combos available to get more bang for your buck, I had the African inspired chicken with Roti and Smoky Chai and it was very reasonably priced at $20. The chicken was delicious, with the brightness of pineapple, tender chicken breast and did I detect a hint of Tamarind chutney? I have no idea if this is authentic African style food but it was delicious. Could have used more chilli, I will ask for extra spicy next time! The chai was sensational, complex and not overly sweet. I would love to try more varieties, lucky for me I work nearby and will be back soon. I also was happy to receive great service, the staff were friendly and super accommodating. It is a small space so consider takeaway as tables were in high demand. A stand out, must visit spot. They are doing something different and I loved it. Veterans discount offered.

Love that Ambi’s Chai Bar is in CBD now, so you can grab chai (when you want a hot drink other than coffee)! Ashlee’s Chai is so delicious. Desi Chai is the popular choice for my workmates. Would love to try other drinks too in the future. If you dine in, the Chai is served in a glass (which makes it eco friendly). There are about 12 seatings inside. Friendly service too.

Ambi Chaibar in Sydney is a small eatery located opposite the 275 Kent Street Westpac office. I recently tried their roti roll, which was priced at $16. While the taste was good, I found it to be overpriced for the portion size. The roll itself was well-made, with fresh ingredients and decent flavours, but it wasn’t particularly large or filling to justify the cost. The place is quite small, more of a grab-and-go spot rather than a sit-down restaurant. Given its location in the CBD, it seems to cater to office workers looking for a quick bite. However, at this price point, there are better value options available nearby. I have yet to try their chai, which seems to be a key part of their offering. If the chai stands out, it might make the experience feel more worthwhile. But based on the roti roll alone, I wouldn’t rush back unless they reconsider their pricing. We are in the midst of a cost of living crisis. I want the businesses to thrive. So please kindly consider affordable options so that your business can thrive.

Hands down the best chai I’ve had in Sydney! It instantly transported me back to my favourite chai spots in India. At just $5 it’s fantastic value for money. I would come back to try other flavours. Recommended!!

Wonderful little spot! So glad it's opened in the middle of the CBD. The chai is just perfect, staff are super friendly. Suggestion - $7 is too high a price for chai. You could reduce the quantity and price it to match the "regular coffee" . That way, people have an alternative to have either coffee or a chai and not have to skip chai because of the higher price point.

I would love to comeback here. Lot of indians come and visit (meaning it is a goood chai) I didn’t know there was none sugar option, I will select that next time! Thank you 🌟
