"Julio and Amber Garcia, owners of Vintage Park’s Ambriza Social Mexican Kitchen, are planning to open a second location of their Mexican restaurant and just launched a campaign for the project on NextSeed. The plan is to open Ambriza Boardwalk right on Lake Cypress at 9945 Barker Cypress Road, and add fun elements like a fire pit and live Latin music at night." - Adele Chapin

We came here for brunch, had a table outside facing the lake and the view was great. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We got sweet bread and hot chocolate for being firstimers and it was delicious. The bread was freshly made and the chocolate was so good. My party had 4 people, we all ordered at the same time, yet each dish came out at a different time. The food is okay but nothing extraordinary. If you’re looking for a good view without paying for overpriced food, this is the place.

I crave ceviche cooked in lemon pretty often, and Ambriza has a different take on it. It’s not exactly what I’m used to, but it’s still really good and I enjoyed it. The restaurant is super cute with a really welcoming vibe. The staff are extremely nice and the hospitality is truly great—it makes you feel right at home. I love the atmosphere. The margaritas are so good! Definitely one of my favorite things to get here.

What a beautiful and special spot this is. We had an incredible family moment with an excellent breeze from the gorgeous waterside and we treated in such a special way. We were given a bit of the history by our beautiful and gracious waitress since it was our first time. Highly recommend. Yummy appetizers and delicious Mexican coffee. There was even a lovely young lady with a decorated cart serving hot chocolate and Mexican bread. Dishes were served with extreme care and had such incredible flavor. By mid meal we decided to make it a definite tradition. Maybe you can make it yours as well!

My visit to Ambriza at The Boardwalk at Lake Town was an exceptional experience that I will remember for a long time. From the moment I entered, I was surprised by the cozy and elegant atmosphere of the place: a perfect mix between modern and traditional, which immediately made me feel comfortable and welcome. The service was impeccable. The staff was very friendly, attentive to every detail, and always willing to recommend the best of the menu. Speaking of food, every dish I tried was an explosion of authentic flavors, carefully presented. You could see the passion and care in each preparation. I ordered some of their most recommended dishes and they all exceeded my expectations, both in flavor and presentation. In addition, the location on the Boardwalk gives a special touch to the experience. After dinner, walking by the lake while remembering the flavors and warmth of the place was the perfect closure for an unforgettable evening. Without a doubt, Ambriza is a restaurant that I would recommend to anyone looking for good food, excellent service and an atmosphere that invites you to enjoy every moment. I can't wait to go back

Fantastic happy hour specials. I honestly wanted to order everything off the menu. The appetizer Tostones and Chalupitas de Lechon were terrific. The Quesabirrias were also very good. The drinks were also awesome. Oh, and if it’s not too hot sit outside and enjoy the view.

Google
Ambriza is a great stop for Happy Hour. Mondays offer all day Happy Hour, which was great. Their margaritas were fantastic, and we enjoyed trying several items on their Happy Hour menu. You must try their Mexican corn, and we also like their fish tacos and chicken quesadillas. We enjoyed the food and drinks on their outdoor patio, which was a very relaxing time.

Came here today with a large group of friends to have lunch since they wanted to belatedly celebrate our wedding that was last weekend. The food was good, but one of our party didn’t get her simple salad until 10 to 15 minutes after everybody else had gotten their food. It should’ve been the easiest thing to make. Our table waiter was also not very attentive to the need for a drink refills. Regardless, the food was tasty and we had a good time.

Google
Food was good for the most part, I enjoyed my Chicken Fajitas. I did not like my Virgin Pina Colada at all, it was super watered down and I could barely taste any pineapple. Our waiter was super slow and forgetful about a few things. Overall experience was fine.

Yelp
Let me start by saying the service was AMAZING from start to finish. We were greeted warmly with an opened door. The ambience was welcoming and lively. This isn't a tex mex restaurant so their dishes are more authentic Mexican. If it's your first time, they surprise you with a treat. Food - We ordered The fried pork belly and it's served with a side of guacamole 7/8 - The guacamole was fresh and tasty. The pork belly needed a bit more salt for me. Pork tacos - fresh pork with avocado slice and onions and cilantro. You can get corn or flour tortillas. 8/10 Ceviche - fresh pork- has a coconut taste- 5/10 - personal preference. Pork rinds - fresh and a large serving. sauce is tangy and comes on the side. 9/10 lunch bowl with carne asada - 8/10 nice size portion. Margaritas were good. They have a few to choose from. After dinner, we were served a wellness shot (nonalcoholic) - free and so so good! Staff was friendly and very accommodating. Outside eating area that faces the water. Lots of birds though!

Yelp
Often visit this location and enjoy the HH meals and drinks. Most of the time the service is great have great managers who always willing to serve customers. My favorite drink is the cucumber Serrano margarita. I always enjoy the vibe at this restaurant. My favorites street corn, CEVICHE COSTENO, CHALUPITAS PORK LECHON, DINNER PASTEL AZTECA AND more!

Yelp
Whoa! This place is great!! Authentic taste, fresh ingredients, great decor inside, and outstanding service. My friend had been many times before so I had a guide to help navigate me. We ordered the Lorenza tacos, beef empanadas, and the Mexican street corn to share. We wanted to try a few different items, so ordering appetizers was the best way to do so. Each appetizer came with 3 to an order. Lorenza tacos are typically a happy hour menu item, but our server went ahead and asked the kitchen to make them for us anyway. They are a cross between a tostada and a taco. Topped with refried beans, cheese, and grilled steak cut into squares. They were absolutely delicious. Then we had the beef empanadas. The drizzle on the outside and the warm beef inside the crunchy shell was a great pair. The Mexican street corn came with a mini Tajin Seasoning. It was a nice touch. The real magic is the corn itself. So very tasty! You can get the corn on or off the cob, but I highly recommend on the cob. It can be a little messy, but it is so yummy! Our server was wonderful. She took good care of us, brought our items in a timely manner, and was all around pleasant. The decor inside is very nice with a circular bar in the middle. They also have outside patio seating by the water. It was too cold the day we went, so we opted for inside. First time guests receive a Mexican dessert bread. It too was very good. Of all the Mexican kitchens I have tried in my years, I would venture to say this place is one of the top 5. It is seriously fantastic!

Yelp
I came here for a weekday lunch since I had a work meeting in the area. Ambriza is beautifully nestled along Cypress Towne Lake with a beautiful view facing the lake. Definitely opt for outdoor seating if it's a nice day out! With that said, parking in the Towne Lake area can be scarce, with limited parking spots servicing the many neighboring businesses. It was the parking situation that made me remember coming here about 1.5 years ago for an Elite Week at Sweetgreen! Since I was dining solo, I sat at the bar. There wasn't a dedicated bartender during lunch, but one of the servers came by often to check on me. I asked for food recommendations, as I was conflicted between the fajitas or the flautas. My server recommended the fajitas, and I went for it, knowing that I fall back on flautas all too often at Mexican restaurants. I got the combo fajitas, in which you can pick 2 between beef, chicken, or shrimp. I went for beef and chicken. The fajitas came out with beautiful presentation, served in a molcajete. This gave me nostalgia of ordering a similar dish in Mexico! It came with 4 slices of each meat, plenty of onion, red chili pepper, and a nopal! On the side were tortillas(choice of corn or flour), guacamole, sour cream, rice, and black beans. Surprisingly no cheese or pico de gallo. While the chicken was juicy, the beef was a little dry and tough to bite apart. The rice was nothing special. black beans also came out very hot. I'm glad I tried this fajitas experience but will probably try something new next time. Chips and salsa came out first thing with my water. The red and green salsas both came out hot, which paired nicely with the hot and crispy tortilla chips. As per usual, I consumed the basket a bit too quickly and had plenty of leftovers of my main to take home. I would happily come back here if I find myself in the area. They have a good menu of happy hour deals 2-7pm on weekdays, 7-10pm on Sundays, and all day on Monday! I would love to come back and try their margs soon.

Tessa G.

Yelp
I was able to sit at the bar during busy dinner time. The environment was fun and loud; perfect context for a good marg. I had a spicy cucumber marg that didn't really taste spicy much was a little strong since I could feel the drink hitting me after I finished it. They brought out free elote for me since this was my first time. So nice! For the food I got the beef and shrimp fajitas. The rice had good flavor & was salty; same with the beans. The beef fajitas were okay. The texture was off, very soft and feels like it was frozen or just low quality. It didn't have enough exciting flavor for me either. Their menu had a lot of fun items and I should have picked something more exciting.

Yelp
Ambriza, where have you been all my life?!? Don't read anymore, just go already!! The food is great as are the employees and ambience. Nothing negative to say about Ambriza. There was one guest who couldn't take a hint and kept talking to Adriana (our fantastic server) but she handled it well! Started with street corn and happy hour ceviche tostada- delicious. Then I ordered the two tacos plate where you can pick two. I chose the taqueso pork pastor and the pescado. I'm drooling as I write this! Ended with the churros. And you can't forget the drinks! I'm booking my trip back there again soon!!

Christina A.

Yelp
Oh Ambriza why did it take so long for me to come here!! First service was impeccable! I mean they treat you with so much hospitality! The waiters are attentive , seated fast, smiles on everyone face, and everyone is busy! They asked me if it was my first time there and since it was they brought me an elote corn which was DELICIOUS!!!!!! Hot fresh , tangy just mouth watering. The chips with the green sauce was yummy yummy in my tummy! I wasn't the fan of the red because I don't like hot salsa . We also ordered the plantons ... didn't know what to expect but it didn't disappoint! Great app to try full of flavor I had the short beef ribs and the portions was hugeeee also delicious and tender Was a fan of their strawberry lemonade refreshing and sweet! And to top it off.... A WELLNESS SHOT AT THE END! I mean they treat you better then grandma !!! Definitely coming back and bringing friends !

Yelp
Went here for some Sunday cocktails on the patio. This place never disappoints! The birds on the patio are pretty aggressive, but aside from that, wonderful experience as always!

Yelp
I like this place! I've been here a solid amount of times and just about everytime it's been a hit. I first came here with my gf forever ago, and have since been with her many times. I also put my mom onto this spot and it's now her go to for green enchiladas! I don't have a regular dish that I get as I have been trying different things. The one thing we all like is their elote so that will definitely get a shout out, and my gf has liked everything she's gotten as well as their brunch. I'm a fan of the vibes and the outdoor views too. The reason for my 3 stars vs 5 is mainly because I had a very rude waitress one of the two times I took my mom here for her birthday. I'm definitely no Karen when it comes to service as I've worked in the CS field myself plenty so I know how it is. It got to the point where I told her directly she was rude AF and went to other coworkers to get the manager which I never do. She came back and gave me some half a$$ apology about having a bad day only after she saw me surrounded by other wait staff and heard I asked for the manager. I ended up leaving before speaking to them but let her know she left a huge stain on that night. Also I think portions could be bigger. All that said I know I'll be going back and still choose not to name this waitress.

Yelp
Before leaving Texas, I wanted to sit down at a restaurant and get Mexican food. Ambriza looked like it fit the bill and wow did it deliver. As first-time patrons, they gave us complimentary bread that really stole the show. Add in the chips that youd expect from a Mexican restaurant and it was already off to a great start. From there, they recommended their award-winning cucumber Serrano margarita. Let me say, it is actually the best margarita I've ever had. It was extremely smooth and refreshing and oh so large. Even after a long football weekend of drinking, it was still incredible. Finally, I got the enchiladas verdes as my meal. They were delicious and I left feeling full and happy with the decision to come to Ambriza.

Yelp
The place was good, with some serious opportunities... The best part is the lovely boardwalk location! The food was a mixed bag... I had the tacos which were very well made, having good flavor, and dipping it in the red salsa was delicious. My wife had the steak fajita, which were ok, the homemade tortillas were great, lovely crisp vegetables, but the meat was under-seasoned. The kids chicken tenders were good, as were the fries. The kids burger was an epic fail, dry charcoal... As for service, we had the trainer, and she was spread so thin, I had to get my kids the condiments myself from the kitchen staff. Additionally, the churros were filled with some weird stuff that tasted awful...

Yelp
Service here is fantastic each time we go. Recently went with a group of 12 people. They attended to us right away and had us seated within about 5 minutes which was fantastic considering it was a saturday evening. We sat outside, had plenty of space for us to comfortably sit and move around if need be. They took our drink and food orders quickly and checked on every now and then to see if we needed to order more or get refills on anything. Food came out quickly, and because it was the first time there for about 9 people in my group they gave us some elotes (super yummy). I tried their guacamole for the first time and loved it! This location on the water is really nice and I plan on coming back again. Think this was my 3rd time here. Drinks are delicious as well! I only had a drink this time but I've gotten their fish tacos before and loved them!

Serra M.

Yelp
The food is good, I had the seafood risotto and it was so good. Also I recommend the cauliflower. The service was good and the ambiance is beautiful especially when you are outside near the water.

Yelp
I love coming here when visiting my daughter. We came here on a Sunday, so brunch was on the menu. To drink, I had a Mezcal Old Fashioned. I asked for it not too sweet. It came out sweet. She took it back and brought me another one. It was less sweet but still sweet. We got the Chalipitas de lechon. They were a bit messy but good. The lechin was super moist and tender. The maduros envuelto were ok. The smokiness of the bacon with the sweetness of the plantain was a nice flavor profile. For my main, I got the barbacoa and polenta. The meat was really tender and flavorful. The polenta is not any polenta I have ever had. It was super dry, not much flavor and not worth the calories! I pretty much just ate the egg and the beef. It came with some potatoes that were super salty and some fruit with Tajin. I'll definitely come back when I am in town again, but now I know what not to order.

Yelp
Ambiance: This is our 2nd time visiting. First time was for a Friday night date (experiencing the beautiful water and festivities outdoors) and second time with a friend after church for brunch. When eating outdoors you get the fresh air and the sight of beautiful ducks walking around during the day.The restaurant is clean and provides a great dining experience (either indoors or outdoors - not too far off the lake.) Starters: Beef Empanada: I love a good empanada and The beef was cooked well and not greasy; the aioli chipotle was spectacular. Street Corn: Normally this would be last on my list due to my taste buds; but I wanted to experiment. I loved how there's a sweet element mixed with the aioli and cilantro. All were paired perfectly and a great size to share amongst the table. Quesabirria: The braised beef was the star of the meal, it was juicy and cooked to perfection, I was able to substitute the corn tortillas for the flour (major plus for me). the rice and beans were okay but I didn't mind as everything else was a 10. Mexican steak and eggs: I want to start by saying my husband is someone who does not like steak so I was shocked he chose this option and went the brunch route. His steak was well done (and well done here is not dry or stiff) and well seasoned. He mentioned he would definitely recommend. Service: Whether you speak to the hostess, your waitress, or any other employee; customer service is always a 10. All are helpful in choosing some of their best dishes and if there is any issue with food being cold (like my husband's was) they were quick to correct it. 10/10. Payment: Quick and easy, no extra tip is added before hand. Overall experience: This is my second time visiting so it's safe to say I will be back

Yelp
A friend brought me to Ambriza to celebrate my first birthday in Houston and we had a wonderful time! We sat outside and enjoyed the crisp air. Our server Kelsey was amazing! Her energy was infectious and she made great recommendations. We loved the margaritas. Two of us got tacos and one friend got fajitas for one. Not gonna lie, I was a little jealous of the fajitas when they arrived! Before we left, Kelsey brought out a little cart with a candle holding birthday churros! And they were heavenly! I will definitely be back!!

Eric M.

Yelp
Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Everything we had was delicious. Have gone back since and nothing has changed... delicious. Mention that it's you first time and you get free Mexican street corn. It's Not Mexican food or Tex-Mex. It's far better. I will be back!

Mrittika G.

Yelp
The outdoor seating was nice with fans so it didn't get super hot. The staff was so nice and brought out a complimentary Elote because it was my first time eating there. She even let me sample a couple drinks before ordering. The Elote was fresh and flavorful. The brought it out with a little tajin which was fun! The empanada was good but nothing to write home about I liked the salsa on top. I got the strawberry cucumber margarita and cucumber Serrano margarita and they were both delicious. The large size came with a refill all for $14 so it's a great deal.

Beau C.

Yelp
So where to start...the friendly staff, the food the view...went on homecoming night so all the restaurants in Towne Lake Boardwalk were super busy. Left our name and they pages us in about 10-15 minutes as promised. Seated in a nice table with a view of the lake. We were first timers so they brought us an elote to get started. Very decent selection of tequila and it seems everyone enjoys their 'Rita's. I had the tuna tostadas and wife enjoyed a chicken dish. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. They serve Mexico City style food as opposed to Tex-Me. Food was excellent and they were generous with chips and salsa. They didn't skimp on the tuna. Certainly deserve a stop.

Jordan W.

Yelp
We here after a conference for happy hour! The prices go up every hour during happy hour so I will try to get there when it first starts. The service is amazing here our waiters name was Rodrigo! He was constantly checking on us to make sure we were OK! I didn't get to try the food here but they did bring me a sample of their Elote to try it was delicious. I came for the margaritas and I love the variety of flavors they have I stuck with the regular margarita, but I did get to try my friend's cucumber margarita it was pretty refreshing as well! Will be back to try food next time wish it was closer!

Tiffany S.

Yelp
Walked into Ambriza and was asked if I wanted to sit on the patio or inside me and my girlfriend decided to sit outside since it was a really nice day. Our waiter came over to introduce himself which his name was Robert, he asked us if we wanted to start out with anything we were waiting for their girlfriend. Somehow they brought out complementary street corn, which was delicious. Which was brought over by the manager who looked very young, but he was very nice. I ordered the quesadillas on the happy hour menu, which was six bucks and they came out extremely soggy because the chicken had a lot of juice and explained that they serve them , not edible. The chicken Flaunta was way better and crisper. Happy hour we decided to get a ranch water which was $11. Ambiance was a really nice day outside.

Medina K.

Yelp
Met with some good friends here. Upon arrival the host was able to find us a table promptly . the Restaurant is colorful and bright in which was very attractive to me. What I remember the waiter being very attentive and the service was pretty good also. Now we ordered a plethora of food and just from the chips and salsa and drinks margaritas was pretty good. We ordered chicken tacos and the chicken, and Shrimp fajitas and some steak.

Jonquil J.

Yelp
The food was so good I came back with my hubby I really enjoy the chips and salsa it has a little heat to it. The first time I can I ordered the risotto Mexicano they were out of octopus so I added shrimps this dish was amazing the risotto was cooked to perfection in my opinion this is considered a spicy dish but it wasn't over spicy just right. For my cocktail I ordered the banana breeze it was just ok I was looking for something more like a piña calado and that wasn't it. For dessert I had the pan de elote not pictured it was definitely different, it's a traditional Mexican sweet cornbread pudding topped with rompope and caramelized popcorn ice cream. My second round at the restaurant for the cocktail I had the Ambriza coconut daiquiri now that's the taste I was expecting my only complaint is they could add more liquor it tasted like a shake than a cocktail. Next time I will definitely ask for a shot of rum or to have them add more into the cocktail. We also had the pork belly with homemade guacamole the guacamole is one of the best I've had it was delicious I personally didn't care for the pork belly but my husband loved it. I ordered the trio fajitas with corn tortillas and it was hot, hot came out sizzling to perfection it was very good and last but not least for dessert I had the cuatro leches with coconut and shaved chocolate, it was not horrible but I've had better. Both time My waiters did a wonderful job they kept the water glass filled and asked if anything was need both were very knowledgeable and gave good recommendations. The first time I sat outside the view of the lake was beautiful but that Texas heat is no joke. They do have ceiling fan I would suggest some misting fans or machines to keep customers cool while dining outside. Second time I dined inside much better but the bugs and flies were a nuisance that's the reason for my four star rating. Besides the flies and bugs being attracted to the food I think it was the fresh flowers on the tables as well. My husband and I will be returning for happy hour and appetizers for sure and after some time back for some more of the delicious food the portions are well worth it you get a lot of food. Definitely will be returning to Ambriza

Joe H.

Yelp
Service and food are great. Price is fair as well. I have been to two locations in Cypress and close to the vintage. Both were solid. I always get the tacos which have been tasty. They also remember me and that feels good to. Not much of a drinker but folks do seem to come to this place and just hang out with margaritas. They have TV screens and are usually showing some type of sports game. Definitely worth a visit.

Val E.

Yelp
Great vibes, great customer service my waiter was Jesus g and was friendly and good vibes (: Def recommend!!!

Dharmik P.

Yelp
Ambriza in Cypress offers a lively atmosphere with tasty vegetarian options. The real standout is their margaritas--well-crafted, flavorful, and perfect for any night out - offered free flavor busting corn as first timer.

Troy J.

Yelp
Here we go! Mexican flavor was the taste today. Wow! I started with a Pork Belly and avocado mix with some flower tortillas. This was so good I could have ate it as my main dish. Then I switched to my main dish which was some Short ribs en Salsa de Chiles Secos. Tender, juicy, and flavorful! My plate is clean! The service has s very nice, friendly and informative on the food and drinks. The Ambiance is nice, cool music soft lights and great views of the lake. Come and try! The Manager Andrea was very nice, checked on my table and made me feel at home.

Kyla W.

Yelp
Three words: DEFINITELY worth it. My boyfriend & I came here one Sunday afternoon, and I can honestly say that I experienced some of the best service I've received in a very long time! The food was amazing, the margarita was my favorite, the service was phenomenal, and the views were everything! Okay, let's get into it. So when we first walked in, it was a little busy, but it took them only about five minutes to seat us at the bar. We sat down and they gave us chips & salsa immediately. We got their famous frozen margarita and it was delicious!!! Then they had an open table outside so we moved. The view is everything outside!! Right on the water & service was so quick & prompt. We got the street corn and WOW! It's my favorite street corn EVER. I can honestly say this is my FAVORITE Mexican food spot in Houston. Vibes: 10/10 View: 10/10 Food: 10/10 Service: 10/10

Yelp
I usually love Ambriza & i came here 3 times this week just bc it does have good food & great margaritas, but today their manager Melissa made the experience the worst for me & my friends. We were told we could vape outside bc we did request a table outside. At this point we just had it on the table & nothing was happening & she came to tell us we couldn't do it which was odd bc we were told otherwise but we said okay. No one at the moment smoked at all but it's in my hand since it's something i always have on me & she comes up to us "i told you no vaping" no one was? & i told her hey we're not & she argues with me about it being in my hand. Like ma'am i didn't forget what you told me? She then went inside where it's a glass window & starts pointing at us & talking shit about us TO THE WORKERS while waving her hand that we smell bad from a vape. Where we could see them & her pointing at us. SHES A MANAGER??? We didn't do anything since she told us & talking shit about guests through a GLASS WINDOW to staff is so unprofessional. Melissa brings down this place.

Shauna B.

Yelp
Enjoyed an evening with friends! The food is always really good and service excellent. I had poblano soup and tostones. A friend had seafood empanadas. Looking forward to eating here again soon!

Angela R.

Yelp
I love Ambriza patio and drinks... The food is not as great. I typically stick to the empanadas and the corn.... I opted for this time the mahi mahi ceviche. It was ok light and refreashing and paired well with my cucumber margarita...

Katherine P.

Yelp
Great place to spend with your loved one on their birthday! Had an amazing lunch with friends and family in the outdoor patio. The service was fast and the fajitas for two were delicious as well as the margaritas!

Quang B.

Yelp
Great go to place here at the Boardwalk. Early morning brunch was ok. Fish tostadas was decent. Wish they had the tuna tostadas that they used to have as this fish wasn't as tender. Street corn was lukewarm. Enjoyed the chocolate carajillo. Service was great as always and ambiance is nice and clean. Great view of the pond. Highly recommend to go here for a relaxing good place to eat. We visit here quite often.

Macy A.

Yelp
Idk why I've always dodged Ambriza but I've fell in love with their food recently. I've visited couple of times through the years they've opened but something about it recently just makes me want to visit their restaurant on repeat. I love sitting out in their patio while sipping on their large margaritas during the cool weather like yesterday after a heavy storm. Their patio/bar only happy hour menu is available but you'll have to ask for it. They won't just hand it to you. I loved everything on their happy hour menu. Food was delicious, service was great, and the two times I dined for brunch I enjoyed very much.

Isabella R.

Yelp
I was not a big fan of their food. I got the chicken quesadilla and it tasted like pork... I probably waited like 45 minutes just to get my food .. and there wasn't that much people in there... My server was on point and pretty kind .. I think if it wasn't for her, I probably would've walked up and left...

Jonah M.

Yelp
It's unprofessional that the manager Melissa targeted me and my friends to talk shit about to the workers. I work in the same industry and it is never professional to talk shit about PAYING guests through a window while pointing at us and letting the other workers also point at us. There was no one else around besides us she was pointing at us. Do not come to this ambriza ever.

Lizeth S.

Yelp
Returned for a Valentine's happy hour pit stop. Tried 4 margaritas: Pineapple Serrano Passion Fruit Habanero Cucumber Serrano Watermelon (But can't remember if it was Serrano or Habanero) All were very good but I think the cucumber Serrano took the win with its freshness. We sat at the bar and had a nice glimpse at the creative art that goes into each drink. I will add that JC (I think was his name) is really good with making drinks and keeping everything sanitary. Highly recommend stopping by for happy hour!

From the moment you enter the restaurant you smell the delicious food you about to receive. Great music playing the whole time. Love the outside sitting with a lovely view. We receive great service the whole time and great recommendations from our waitress. Love the street corn! The tostones are great as well. Would recommend for everyone to try the crema poblana bowl, very rich and delicious. The tacos were good definitely recommend getting it with the flour tortillas (they are great) and not the corn. I know they make everything in house but the corn tortillas is bland and too thick for my liking. The margaritas is a must!

Yelp
Star rating is for the service. Everything was fabulous up until the end. The entire time after our meal our waiter tried to upsell us on drinks & dessert. I tried to hand him my card multiple times which he ignored for the reason of upsell. I finally checked out and due to corporate policy (business lunch) I'm only allowed to tip 20%. He came to the table after I checked out and "jokingly" pretended to look for the extra tip under the table condiments and items. I stated I can only tip per company policy 20% and as to not upset my client who is a regular I tipped $10 cash on top of my credit card tip. Come to find out he doesn't he even know this waiter. Incredibly rude, unprofessional and will never go back. I waited tables for years - unacceptable.

Yelp
The food was cold and chicken like rubber. The handkerchiefs smelled weird. We even saw a roach run by. They tried giving us the wrong food we had to return it and then wait for our food so my husband ate by himself. The food was flavorless and the rice tasted weird. If I could do zero starts I would. Our waitress was also not the best.

Yelp
So I'm sitting here at the bar of Ambrizia because I am on the wait list for a table on the patio. We were told it would be half an hour wait for a patio table however, I have been sitting here looking at 8 empty tables as I drink my margarita. When I inquired I was told by the hostess that there is a waiting list (which I understand and I'm on the said list). So help me understand how long should a table sit empty for a waitlist? I am the opinion five or ten minutes is a reasonable amount of time for someone to show up for a table and then shouldn't they move on down the list to the people that are standing here waiting? Am I missing something here? Am I being over critical? I have come to this restaurant several times and the service seems to get worse each time I come. Maybe I should learn from my experiences and just stop.

Yelp
First time and best experience yet. Our server, Melinda, guided us first through the extensive drink menu. They have an award winning Margarita. While we were deciding, she brought 4 shot glasses with 4 Margarita flavors to sample. I chose the Agave spritzer. Excellent. We placed our food order and as we chatted, the manager brought us a surprise starter of Elotes on a stick. DELICIOUS. I had the fish tacos. So good. My friends said their shrimp empanadas were delicious. Impeccable service. Thank you Melinda Delicious. Delightful experience.

Yelp
The interior of the place is very nice, and the service was excellent. I ordered the Ambriza burger, but it didn't live up to my expectations. Despite my high hopes due to the patty being a blend of chorizo and beef, it didn't taste as good as I anticipated. Everything else was great and I'm sure there is better things to try next time!

Yelp
Authentic Mexican food, rich of flavors and selection. The place is very cute and service is amazing, very welcoming. Place can get a bit old but overall is pleasurable

Yelp
My new happiest place on earth. I have been here a few times and it never disappoints!! The drinks are really good and they are strong as well. Everything is 5 stars from the food and service to the atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Yelp
The food, the drinks and the servers were great , not so much the bartender girl, I think after two shots each and a bottle of champagne they just didn't allow us to order anymore and I found that not ok , when we were in front of them the whole time acting just fine, that was very embarrassing and unprofessional how she handled everything. Other then that my husband was happy

Yelp
I tried Ambriza while visiting my sister a couple of weeks ago. Nice restaurant in the Town Lake area that offers nice outdoor seating. Unfortunately it was so hot that it was not enjoyable. The food was good, but nothing to brag on. I would probably give them another shot.
