"MacGuffins Bar is beginning to feel like this map’s MacGuffin. Anyway, it’s more of the same with this AMC. It’s equipped with IMAX capabilities, so go see something breathtaking while sipping on something cold and crisp. After, check out Dorchester Brewing Company nearby for more beer." - Terrence Doyle

We come to this place for, popcorn-strewn floors and sticky seats. Let's start with the positives, shall we? The Dolby Cinema is amazing. The sound and picture quality are so incredible, I felt like I was living inside the movie. And the seats? Oh, the seats! So comfortable, you'll forget you're in a public space and not your own living room. The IMAX theater is also quite the spectacle. The screen is so big, and the sound is great. It's like having a personal concert in your ears. However, it seems like AMC decided to cram as many seats as possible in there, sacrificing comfort for the sake of profit. The seats in the IMAX theater don’t recline! Now, let's talk about the not-so-stellar aspects of my visit. This place is about as clean as the sidewalk at Mass and Cass. Trash and popcorn are scattered everywhere, and the overflowing trash cans make you wonder if anyone is working to clean this place. The bathrooms? Some of the most disgusting ones I’ve seen, on par with a highway rest stop. But wait, there's more! Inside the theater, you'll find a treasure trove of delights, like sticky seats and trash left behind by previous patrons. It's like a scavenger hunt, but instead of finding treasure, you're finding remnants of someone else's movie experience. How thoughtful of AMC to provide such an interactive adventure! If you're looking for a great cinematic experience that combines the best in sound and picture quality buy tickets to the Dolby theater but expect them to come with a side of popcorn-strewn floors and sticky seats.

This place is spacious, clean, and has comfy seats. There's also plenty of parking in the free garage behind the theater. Better if you can see a movie with the recliners. I don't know why more people don't go to the movies here. It's never crowded (for now!).

The location is convenient with free parking and proximity to major arteries but the bathrooms here were disgusting and in varying stages of disrepair and constantly out of soap and toilet paper. The food pricing is also insane - $7.49 for a soda, $10.49 for a large popcorn. The seats were very comfortable and did recline well. This place is fine if you don’t go to the bathroom or purchase food.

Quality theater, but big miss on concessions and facilities Went on a rainy Sunday for a matinee. Booked online tickets 30 min before movie, theater was pretty full, but still had decent seats in Theater 1. My only complaint about the actual movie/theater was the sound level was over 100dB throughout the movie, would have been just a little more enjoyable if it was 10-20dB softer. Other issues I had included: soapy pretzels, cross-contaminated fountain soda, difficulty accessing my online ticket, and the bathroom was out of paper towels and the hand dryer wasn’t working. My biggest complaint was spending $8+ for pretzel bites only to have them taste soapy and were inedible. Additionally, they have the all-in-one coke dispenser and I selected Coke Zero but it clearly had a cherry coke or some fruity after taste. I’m fine paying a premium for food and drink at a theater as long as the food meets expectations and here it fell very short. Other issue I experienced was no service and couldn’t pull up my online ticket. Fortunately had a screen shot of the confirmation number, but one would think this issue would have been addressed by now. Also, the bathroom had no paper towels and a number of the sensors for the soap, sink, and dryers were not working. Walked out with wet hands. Will be back due to limited options, and really hope they step up their game. I have had good experiences here before but for now it’s hard to give them above 3 stars based on my most recent experience.

Rude young man at the front desk where you buy the tickets, also poorly trained and not a people person having witnessed 3 rude interaction in a matter of minutes. They couldnt even scan my ticket even though there was two of us saying the ticket can only be scanned once, this was a shock since that would mean you cant go in without the other person..The theater itself looks nice but the amount of kids coming in unsupervised sneaking into movies and talking through 70% of it is getting ridiculous. 3rd time catching a different movie and all 3 had the same issue with unsupervised kids talking throughoutthe movie. Should definitely ID people or have minors be accompanied by adults.

They sometimes look like they’re scrambled but this amc has things together for being in the heart of Boston. I had an issue mid movie where i had to leave for an emergency and they happily and quickly gave me a gift card with the equal price so i could come back. Also AMC > Regal hands down

Wicked nice theater. Seems very new. This was my first visit, and it's pretty sweet especially being able to grab a beer from the AMC pub, to bring into the theater (9 bucks for a Cold Snap). The plaza it's in, is really nice to walk around and shop at.

Comfortable seating and ADA accessible! I think this amc has the most comfortable seating out of all the theaters in the area.
