Made a reservation here because I was curious about the cuisine.
It was quite a journey getting here on foot(don’t try it), but the experience didn’t disappoint at all.
The cuisine features produce from the mountains and the rivers such as mountain vegetables that peak in Spring; Butterbur, Angelica, Bamboo Shoots, and fishes such as Ayu, Shirouo done in many styles, Crab and Carp, all done in the format of Kaiseki.
The staff were exceptionally hospitable as per Japanese Hospitality standard and even helped arrange a taxi for me back to the train station.
I enjoyed dining here and didn’t regret at all making the journey.
Should I ever return, I would probably rent a car.
