If you’re in Tucson and love birria, Amelia’s is an absolute must-visit. We stopped by after hearing great things, and every bit of praise was completely deserved.
We started with the birria tacos, and they were out of this world — perfectly crispy on the outside, packed with rich, flavorful meat, and incredibly satisfying. They were so good, we couldn’t resist ordering another round! The mini chimis were another standout: crunchy, well-seasoned, and bite-sized, making them the perfect appetizer. We also tried the birria ramen, which was hearty, flavorful, and a fun twist on traditional birria dishes.
The margaritas were fantastic — super fresh, not overly sweet, and generously sized. To top it all off, we finished with the chocoflan, which was decadent yet light, the perfect way to end such a flavorful meal.
Beyond the food, the service was excellent: attentive, friendly, and genuine. The entire atmosphere felt welcoming and relaxed, and the pricing is very reasonable for the high quality you’re getting.
Overall, Amelia’s nails it on every front — food, drinks, service, and value.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for a truly delicious and memorable dining experience in Tucson.
