Great find here. Happy hours drinks were absolutely wonderful and could not believe the pricing. Best value ever. Our bar tender was personable and attentive to everyone in the bar.

I’m a stickler for cocktail and whiskey bars. Let me tell you something, this place fits the bill. There’s no overload on the decorations. The setup in general is as it should be: simple. The mixologists are masters of their craft preparing excellent cocktails with cool personalities to match. You can tell they enjoy what they do. The Old Fashion is dangerously good.

This is a great bar for Abilene or any city. They make excellent prohibition-era drinks. The ambiance is great amd bartenders are knowledgeable about whiskey and cocktails in general. And they have a good selection of whisk(e)ys, bourbons and ryes. Damian gave the best, most interesting whiskey tasting I've ever had. Will definitely be back.

Its okay. Its not the best bar in Abilene by any means, but the prohibition speakeasy feel is nice. I wished the drinks could have been as good as the vibe. Not bad pricing, but they don't make too many of the drinks well and could use some practice. My 6 year old could make a better long Island to put it lightly. Bartender used an already half poured cup before we ordered and smelled it before mixing to see what it was, okay cool I stayed and still tried to give the place a chance though.The texas mule was wonderful and made by the taller male bartender. Old fashioned was ok. Table was sticky and had straws laying all over it, but it was dimly lit enough to ignore the mess. Giving 3 stars for now, and I'll swing back by sometime and give them another shot. I really want to like this bar, it's just not giving me an experienced and sophisticated feel like it wants to advertise.

Awesome 😎 place. Place got packed and my bartender still took the time to handcraft my whiskey smash (with mint) and 18th repeal (red color) perfectly. You can't rush perfection. My seasonal dark beer is a battle something (sorry) which was exactly what I wanted. Also, big plus ➕ Whiskey lovers 🥃... You must stop here.

This whiskey bar was a nice discovery during a recent weekend trip to Abilene. Service was impeccable. The bartenders definitely know how to make some mean cocktails. For those that don’t like liquor, they also have beers on tap, which a majority of them are brewed in Texas. I will definitely go back to Amendment 21 when I visit Abilene.

Very nice place. The atmosphere is very calm, the property is very clean and organized. The music volume is perfect, set as background entertainment. Customers are able to talk normal while enjoying the entertainment as well. The bartender was very respectful, helpful, and "knows his stuff" so to speak. Highly recommended.

It's a relief to have a place like this in Abilene. Great atmosphere, the bartenders hustle, and the crowd is young and lively. Wasn't expecting this. Great drinks, city prices.

What a find here. Drinks were wonderful with a great selection to choose from off the happy hour menu. Service was outstanding. Our bar tender, Michael was very attentive and personable. This place has an upscale feel without the price. Whiskey sour with egg whites, Old fashion, New York Sour were all excellent. Had to have two of everything minimum to make sure they were that good and they were.

This is a nice and spacious bar. There is plenty of seating at several tables including outside. Service was good. Staff were friendly. I would return again in the future.

Great service, great atmosphere. Bartender knows her Bourbon well! Happy hour had great deals! The whole place has the feel of an open floor plan speak-easy.

The bartenders are very personable and will make you a personalized drink if they're not too crowded that night. It's a fun atmosphere that really feels like you've walked in right after prohibition has ended, nothing else like it in Abilene. It's a key part of the soda district

I pass through Abilene here and there, and never expected to find such a gem. Was there on a Thursday night, and it was perfect. Not overly crowded, great service and great conversation. Nice selection of whiskeys and those rare finds. Will be back every time I'm in town.

We moved to Abilene 3 months ago and we absolutely LOVE this bar!!! So glad we stumbled on it! Not only is there happy hour every day, they play 80's and country music.

This place is incredible! We loved the vibe, and the bartenders were super helpful and amazing. Shawn made us drinks that were soooo tasty! Highly recommend!!!

Not what we were expecting. With the name, we were thinking it would be more of a classic cocktail, even speakeasy vibe, especially with the industrial area location. Instead, it was very rustic, honkeytonk. The chairs looked like they were repurposed from an old Cracker Barrel. There was some weird gold foil junk "decorating" the top of the bar shelves that resembled 1980s Christmas decorations. There was Hank Williams, Jr. and other old country music playing and only a few people there. The bartender was nice, though.

They opened in April 2018 to find a hidden gem like this is Abilene Texas is amazing. They have classic whiskey cocktails, staff created cocktails and local and other popular beers on draft as well as some bottle beers. I had the Texas whiskey flight or (Tejas) I like the Rebecca Creek and the Balconi blue the best. The also have some appetizers available. Checkout the social media and website for upcoming events they have a lot planned in the next couple months. It was super busy after 7:30 on a Saturday. They need a few more servers but they will work that out overtime. (They had a mother bartender arrive at 8:30 so never mind) A great cocktail experience. I recommend a Sazerac for New Orleans flare or an Old fashion. The bartenders know their whiskey history so be sure to ask questions if your curious. This is a great location for a friends night out or that nervous 2nd or 3rd date. Remember to Uber or have a designated driver. Great job Amendment 21 I am so glad you ended prohibition in Abilene.

INCREDIBLE!!! Amendment 21 is my favorite bar in town. They have hot bartenders and the best drinks you will have in your life. The bartenders are very knowledgeable and will help you find exactly what you are looking for. Nectar of the gods. If you're in Abilene and can only make one stop GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!

I live in the Dallas area and I wasn't expecting a place like this in Abilene Texas but I was very happy, they have a very small appetizer menu but a Great all day happy hour menu with great selections, the manager and bartender were very nice and I will definitely come back to this place when I return to Abilene.

Damien made fantastic drinks. He even gave us EACH hand toasted marshmallows. Chill atmosphere with sophisticated bartenders. I'm a new regular!

$30 each for cocktails. Bartender suggested better whiskey, had no idea it would be 2x the price of good cocktail in Dallas or Austin.

On a girls trip, my group (four 30ish year old ladies) hit up this place at 3pm on a Friday. We loved it! It has an old school, saloon, texas country feel to it. It was not very crowded when we were there given the time of day, so we got to chat with the two bartenders. They were nice and chatty and were so fun to talk to. After they made our drinks, we sat at a picnic table on their porch. It was a gorgeous day outside, so that mae their patio even better. I wish we could have stayed longer than we did (we were there about 1.5 hours) but we had to head out for dinner plans. I definitely want to go back next time i'm in town.

I'm not one to go bar hopping, but I went to meet up with some friends and had a great time! The drinks were potent and tasty, prices were high as expected (but it booze right?). It was a bit too loud though and I could barely hear the people sitting next to me. If it weren't for that I would have given 5 stars! also I remember wanting a bar-food snack and not seeing any .... I would go back again in a heartbeat if asked!

This is a very cool bar. Their focus is whiskey and bourbon but they can make a variety of drinks. They have specialty drinks regularly. The ambiance is very much a nod to an old speakeasy. The bartenders are very good and love to come up with new drinks.

"Prohibition Ends At last." What a wonderful tagline, right? A21 is a classy spot with well trained bartenders that know how to make great cocktails and offer good service. I usually go for the Manhattan or Old Fashion and both have been prepared well and more importantly, correctly. They also have a nice selection of local craft beers as well so there is something for everyone here. If you've never been, you must go! Hands down, best craft cocktail spot in Abilene and would also do really well in any city that you put them in.(my opinion) The location and atmosphere is great and the space allows for groups large or small. They also offer a more intimate experience with smaller tables for two. You'll notice that there is a nice outdoor patio with lots and lots of space too. Now, let us all proceed to party like Gatsby! My original idea of this place was 5 stars, but after Taylor left....I can't say it is anymore. The whiskey was literally watered down this last time I went. The cocktails used to be the best in Abilene, but now they are so bland and watery its a disappointment.

Friendly bartender with tons of knowledge about all the different whiskeys. Definitely a lesser-known gem of Abilene that's well worth the visit! I can't wait to go back again!

This place is awesome! If you don't like whiskey, this place probably isn't for you, but they make a hella good Old Fashioned! Very cool atmosphere in a very cool old building. Abilene needs more places like this!

Cool place: beautiful space, fantastic service, so many options. My husband and I stopped in on a Saturday night for drinks before our dinner reservation at a local steakhouse, it was about 7:45pm. Though we were only one of 5-6 couples/groups, it began to really fill up shortly after we arrived. The space is beautiful, vintage-inspired, with original tin tile ceilings. The decor is rustic modern: exposed pipes and reclaimed wood. There is an outside patio that seemed to be super popular (even in the July heat). Service was excellent. We got wonderful recommendations on whiskey from the bartender, and continued prompt service throughout our stay. We didn't try the food, seeing as we were going to dinner. They have a nice selection of whiskeys, with a large number of rye, bourbon and Texas offerings, but also some of the most popular Scotch pours, Irish Whiskeys and even a few Japanese offerings. On tap they had a few local beers--and I mean "made in Abilene" local--as well as others. I don't see myself visiting the area that often, but I would 100% come back to Amendment 21 every time I do.

My niece & I went to Amendment 21 the night before her 22nd birthday. Due to Covid she wasn't able to celebrate her 21st. So she wanted to go to a bar while she was still 21. The bartender was great & attentive even though he was very busy. The cocktails were great. The atmosphere was exciting. We were very comfortable. Thanks Amendment 21.

This is a great new bar with a prohibition theme in the up and coming SoDA District of Abilene. They offer great hand-made cocktails, beer, wine and whiskey. The outdoor covered patio is a great place to visit with friends and have a drink or two.

Surprised to find a cocktail bar with such quality drinks. I grew up in Abilene then moved away. There was nothing like this when I lived here. We let the bartender make up drinks for us Ann's they were all great. Service was friendly and the pretzel tray was delicious too!

Cool place. Took the whiskey 101 class there and it was fun! Also have been for Sunday Brunch. Food truck food just so-so, but mimosas and atmosphere made up for it...

This is an awesome place for older adults who don't want to listen to loud music or who aren't into the bar scene.

Such a neat place! Like another post, we were some of a few there but it filled up quickly. Vety welcoming atmosphere. Our bartender Colby masterfully made my husband a Manhattan, then proceeded to make me an original vodka drink with elderflower liqueur. Yummmeee! Well be back when we're in town again.

I can't say enough about this establishment! The old fashioned is superior to any my husband has had in the metroplex! The atmosphere is nothing you would expect in Abilene, TX. Unequivocal selection of whiskey. Ask for Joel! He's the stud with the 'stashe and awesome hair!

I can't say enough good things about this place. You could have a great time not drinking, and just watch the bartenders make drinks. Their old fashion and whiskey sour are the best I have ever had. The amendment 21 drink is essentially an old fashion with extras and it was the best drink I've ever had. We got some cheese and crackers that was very good. We will be coming back again!

This place is so cool-- it's inside a 100 year old building!! The bartenders are friendly and super knowledgeable about whiskey. They also dress well! Apparently they have over 100 types of whiskey available. We really enjoyed our drinks.

Taylor is a great bartender!! Incredibly personable!! The bartenders choice was a great concoction with cherries!! Although there is no peanut butter whiskey it's still amazing. They're growing and exactly what Abilene needs!! Come try for yourself

A true whiskey bar with a high quality selection you wouldn't expect to see unless you were in a major metropolitan area. Whoever owns this place understands single malts and blended whiskeys. They also have a great list of high-end crafted cocktails and draft beer. Easily the nicest bar/lounge in Abilene. Im glad to see a place like this is thriving.

Thy did an amazing job with the place from a old battery store on the corner to place abilene needs and it's perfectly located directly across the street from the court house and the enterprise building, I cant wait to come back.
