"Amendment XVIII, co-owned by Dean Marsh and Steve Barone, is a bar inspired by Prohibition-era speakeasies. Located at 317 Main Street in Downtown Franklin, it offers a unique entrance through a back alley door of Mellow Mushroom. Inside, the decor includes a back lounge with tables made from red boxelder trees, wooden pews from the Grand Ole Opry, a stamped tin roof, and vintage mirrors. The cocktail program, led by Hunter Thammavongsa, features 17 drinks, each a twist on a classic cocktail, with ingredients inspired by Thammavongsa's Southeast Asian heritage. The bar also offers comfort food like sliders, gouda mac and cheese bites, and bourbon pecan pie. Additional offerings include a Locker Club membership for exclusive benefits. The bar is open Tuesday to Thursday from 4 p.m. to midnight, Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m., and Sundays from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m." - Jackie Gutierrez-Jones

The staff are awesome! These guys and gals are creative and come up with some really cool drinks but also have a great knowledge of the old school. It’s nice to see a crew that takes their profession seriously! Definitely have to check this place out!

We were out celebrating renewal of another season of Yellowstone and visited Amendment XVIII for the first time. Upon entering we were transported back in time to a prohibition era speakeasy. Great music and fun atmosphere. Elliot provided great service for everyone. We ordered the smoked cabernet off the menu. It had hints of smoked oak wood. They also have a selection of specialty cocktails, bourbons, and food menu. We will be back again - we were so impressed with everything we signed up for the locker wait list. Thank you everyone for a great night!

Tonight was my second visit to this establishment. The food, drinks, and service are fantastic, however, I don’t know if I’ll go back. There is no easy speaking at this speakeasy. The music is so loud that my friend and I practically had to yell at each other to have a conversation. I had a similar experience the first time I went, but I chalked it up to being a busy Friday night. Tonight, we were the only people along the bench wall for a while. I talked to our server about it, and she quickly went to go turn it down a smidge. She said that was the lowest she could turn it down to, and it was still too loud to have a “normal talking” voice conversation. That experience definitely took away from the great vibe and aesthetic they have going on. If they’d just keep the music low, it would be a perfect place.

Downtown Franklin needed a speakeasy, and this place fits the bill. Highly recommend, really good drinks and good customer service. Only been here once so far, but definitely plan to come back. My friends and I all had positive experiences with our drinks, although not every drink is worth five stars, but on the whole good vibes.

I went into this cocktail bar with great expectations. And the first impression didn’t disappoint. Loved the cozy ambience! But that’s about the only thing I liked. Kudos to the creative team, all the cocktails sounded interesting. If only the actual taste lived up to the interesting names and description! I made the mistake of asking for the sweetest cocktail and ended up with a vile bitter concoction that I couldn’t stomach. We ended up ordering drink after drink hoping the next one would be better but no such luck. Food was subpar - they have a very limited food menu and had run out of most options before 9pm. Vegetarians, think twice before you head over. You have just three items on the menu and might want to make sure that they are available first. Service was friendly, but the wait times are tedious. I could have probably overlooked all of this and chalked it down to a “bad day”, but for the napkins. I could smell them two tables away. They smelled like rancid oil and wet rags. It was absolutely disgusting and it was all I could do to keep my food in. You guys have a lot going for you in terms of location and ambiance. If you could up your ante with great drinks, tasty food and overall cleanliness, I think you’ll cease to be just a novelty and soon become a favorite hangout for many. Not me though… I’ll pass, thanks.

This purposely hidden gem is fantastic. You have to enter through an alley door behind Mellow Mushroom, find the electric box and flip the switch. Once you do that the door to the speakeasy opens and you are ushered into another place and time. It’s a small space but beautifully decorated with great inventive cocktails. It’s a unique experience in a very upscale and cool vibe.

Uniquely cool speakeasy somewhat hidden in downtown Franklin, though it has become a well known secret. The wait to get in is sometimes long but the atmosphere and drinks are worth it. Craft cocktails are the main attraction and are works of art. Beer selection is limited (two choices) and could be expanded. Food is basically sliders and snacks but are definitely tasty. I hope the food menu will increase given time, as it’s a great place to relax, mingle, drink and eat. Kudos to the crew who brought this place to life! 🍻

Yelp
The vibe is amazing! Decor is on point! The staff is friendly & fantastic! Food is fabulous! Then there's the drinks,,, y'all earned the 5 stars!! If you can't find it ask around cuz it's the newest hot spot in town! Pull the switch on the green light & don't worry about the wait,,, it's worth it. *Hint: if the wait is over 15 minutes then go to the Mellow Mushroom bar & pregame there

Yelp
Come for great Drinks! Cocktails are GREAT, Staff Great, Environment Great... FOOD IS ABYSMAL. Soggy over battered cauliflower, rock hard sliders (chicken and beef, super cheap tasting meat), Charcuterie tray was sliced orange cheese and deli bologna with sweet pickels. Awful. However, it's right next to Mellow Mushroom so if you're hungry, order a pizza. I really DO RECOMMEND this spot for a nice night out, lots of upscale, interesting, beautiful (and delicious) cocktails. **If you own this place, please, for the love of God, spend some $ on good quality food or just partner w MM. Drunk people will order ALMOST anything. Sweet Potato Fries and sauces? Air Fryer Salmon and butter lettuce salad? Can your mother make a casserole??? There must be a solution...

Yelp
A cocktail bar with pretty good drinks. The service and attitude of the staff was not not good. You would think for a cocktail bar they would be happy and engaging. Won't go back.
