American Airlines to Debut a Flagship Lounge in Philadelphia

"A new premium airline lounge opening this summer at Philadelphia International Airport will feature a menu curated by hometown chef Randy Rucker, a Texas-born James Beard Award semi-finalist who sources seasonally from the Delaware River Valley and layers a Southern/Texas influence into his cooking. The food program is described as vegetable-forward with seafood and pronounced local flavors, and may incorporate some of the chef’s restaurant classics adapted for high-volume service. Guests can expect self-serve food, spirits, and wine stations plus a first-of-its-kind full-service bar within the carrier’s flagship network, stocked with signature cocktails, premium Champagne, and top-shelf spirits. Access will be limited to qualifying premium passengers and elite members on international itineraries." - Regan Stephens

This AC is located in Terminal D, and opens at 5am. We've never experienced outstanding service at any of DFW's AC's when checking in, so hence the 4 stars instead of 5. There's plainly a lack of professionalism. Getting past that, it's all comfort & convenience upstairs. Big windows look out onto the tarmac from the spacious club that includes a bar area, enclosed kid's computer room, and tons of lounge seating and tables with electric outlets here and there. Magazines & newspapers are available. The bathroom stalls have a full door for ultimate privacy. We flew in before the sun came out, so breakfast was served. Continental breakfast and cereals were offered, and hot drinks of all styles squirted out of a clever Nescafé machine I'd love to have at home - mocha, espresso, coffee, hot chocolate, latte... Yum. TIP: Gate announcements are NOT made (unless there's a change in gate numbers,) so watch your time! OVERALL: Nice digs, but not as impressive as the British Airways lounge at Heathrow!

I thought the lounge across the aisle was legit. This lounge kicks it up a couple of notches. It was spacious and not too crowded. There was a decent amount of food variety ( i tried them all) and although each was not stellar, t was definitely serviceable. And that selection of drinks. Wow... Second trip... note to self. Do not schedule a trip before 10AM on Sundays in Texas. That's when drinks are available They moved out of the D21 location next to CapitalOne and the regular Admiral a few gates down became the new Flagship. Its bigger, brighter with quiet rooms, TV rooms and showers

I agree with the others that speak highly of the food offerings at the American Airlines flagship lounge. When you enter you are offered champagne, and if you choose not to drink alcohol- there is a full cooler cabinet of smart waters and other healthy drinks. The beverage bar is open for red wine, champagne, and lots of different coffees also. The food offerings are very health-conscious and the vegan offerings are terrific. I think American Airlines does a tremendous job offering healthy food to a mass of humanity and I think the folks who work diligently in the back to prepare this food need a hearty pat on the back! . Thank you American Airlines! Thank you chefs, waiters and all staff. Thank you Flagship lounge.

It is a cool place to sit and wait till your departure time. The food was much better than I expected, and they had many spirit choices. The showers are clean, and the people who work here are very friendly!

The American Airlines Flagship Lounge is a fantastic place to relax before a flight. The food is top-notch with a variety of options, and the drink selection includes everything from soft drinks to champagne. The desserts are a nice touch, adding something sweet to the experience. I didn’t figure out how to use the heated bathrooms, but it’s such a thoughtful detail. The lounge is beautifully designed, with plenty of comfortable seating that makes it easy to unwind. Highly recommend stopping by if you get the chance!

While this lounge is spacious and has good seating and the shower rooms are great, it’s really lacking when it comes to food. The food tasted bad and the sushi was not edible. I really enjoyed the shower rooms, though there is always a wait list it seems so keep that in mind.

American Airlines Flagship Lounge sets the gold standard for airport lounges. From the moment I walked in, it was clear this was a premium experience worth every bit of its five-star reputation. The lounge is a sanctuary of comfort, luxury, and excellent service—a perfect place to escape the hustle of the airport and relax before your flight. The ambiance is modern yet inviting, with sleek, comfortable seating areas that cater to both relaxation and productivity. Whether you need a quiet corner to work or a spot to unwind with a cocktail, there’s a space for everyone. The floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the tarmac add a nice touch, making the experience feel both exclusive and connected to the excitement of travel. The food offerings are top-notch, comparable to a high-end restaurant. The buffet included a variety of hot and cold dishes that catered to all dietary preferences. From fresh salads and sushi to hearty entrees like braised beef and roasted vegetables, everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. They also had a selection of desserts that were impossible to resist. For those who prefer a more personalized touch, the made-to-order dining options are a game changer. The drink selection was equally impressive. The full-service bar offered a wide array of top-shelf spirits, wines, and beers, along with signature cocktails crafted by skilled bartenders. They also had an excellent coffee and tea station, perfect for a caffeine fix before an early morning flight. What truly sets this lounge apart, however, is the service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure every guest felt welcomed and well taken care of. They were attentive without being intrusive and always quick to address any needs or questions with a smile. The amenities are just as impressive as the food and service. Spacious shower suites equipped with high-quality toiletries were a godsend after a long flight. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, and the numerous charging stations ensured I could keep all my devices powered up. Overall, the American Airlines Flagship Lounge is an oasis of comfort and luxury. It’s evident that every detail has been thoughtfully designed to provide travelers with an exceptional experience. Whether you’re traveling for business or leisure, this lounge transforms waiting for your flight into a genuinely enjoyable part of your journey. Five stars, without hesitation!

Good selection of food, plenty of seats, clean facilities, full size bar, information boards to help everyone, easy to get to the gates, all round a pleasure to be at.

Yelp
This American Airlines Flagship Lounges sits between gates D22 and D23 in Concourse D. Entry and check-in are on the main level just passed/or before the duty free shop. Once inside you take the elevator up, turn the corner and you have arrived. We popped in on a recent afternoon while waiting for our flight out of D22. The lounge is spacious and seems to have a good amount of seating, but it fills up quick. Most of the seating is cushioned/deep seat chairs with power banks and a shared end table top. There is table seating and bar seating in the bar area. Speaking of the bar, it's solid, pretty, and well stocked . We got one cocktail and one house wine, both were as expected. The buffet is constantly rotating, but always has a good assortment of offerings from soups to pastas, charcuterie and of course desserts. There is also a beverage station that is always outfitted with flavored water and tea. Service was good on the floor as the attendants were very friendly. The bartender wasn't unfriendly, but I would classify as friendly either. He got us what we asked for and then moved on. Check-in counter was also okay service. I have experienced much different service at other AA lounges, so this seemed like an anomaly. The pace was clean and well maintained. Restrooms were good sized and clean as well. Overall, solid spot to catch a breather before a flight. The snacks, drinks and decently comfy seats make the wait a bit more bearable.

Yelp
I wasn't impressed with the AA Flagship Lounge in Dallas. That's surprising because we actually enjoyed the one in Chicago. We expected it to be the same quality & service. Unfortunately, it wasn't on the same level. First of all, it appears to be smaller than other lounges. It could be because this particular location has a "First Dining" lounge within it. It's an exclusive dining area where you can order chef-inspired dishes and cocktails. You're granted access if you're flying internationally with a Flagship First or Business Plus class ticket. You can also use miles to pay for it if you're Executive Platinum. My husband didn't think it would be worth parting with miles in exchange for something that may not be that good. Hopefully it's worth it for those paying extra for this experience. I only saw 2 couples inside that dining area the whole time I was there. The buffet outside of it wasn't so good. It was heavy on plant-based food and seafood. My husband struggled to find something he liked. He tried the braised brisket nachos that appears to be their signature dish. There is a person at that station preparing this specific dish. It was fritos with chopped beef and a cheese sauce. He didn't like it. I wanted to try the tonkotsu ramen at the self-serve bar. The noodles were hanging out of the bowl with toppings scattered everywhere. Honestly, nothing looked appealing although I've read that the broth is very good. I ended up eating a banana and some yogurt covered pretzels. I think the only thing I enjoyed was the champagne with blackberries. There was a good selection of self-serve alcoholic drinks if that's your thing. The food selection didn't rotate between lunch and dinner on the day that we were there. We had a good view of the runway. The seats were comfortable. We found seats with charging stations along the window. My husband was thankful for the shower even though it wasn't as nice as the one in Chicago. The service wasn't that good. No one could tell us what gate our flight was leaving from, and it wasn't showing on the app. They have a codeshare agreement with Finnair. We saw Qantas and other Oneworld alliance airlines on the board, but not Finnair. All they could tell us was to google the AY22 flight status. It didn't initially produce the correct result, but we finally found the gate number. It just wasn't communicated well between the airlines. Would I visit this lounge again? Only if we have access and there's no other place to go without paying extra for it. This one felt more like a regular Admirals Club with poor food options. It's just my opinion. I've been to better. Either way, it's still nice to be away from the terminal. You might want to check out the Admirals Club side to see if it's any better before settling with this one.

Yelp
This is a review for the exclusive Flagship First dining located within the Flagship lounge. This is accessible generally for those on long haul international and transcon flights holding a seat in first class on a three cabin aircraft. However, AA has now allowed Exec Platinum and Platinum Pro members on any flight to redeem a relatively small amount of miles (20K for exec platinum) to experience Flagshio First dining. Since I had a three hour layover I decided to give it a try. It is a very exclusive and upscale ambience within, and service is very friendly and attentive. I enjoyed several glasses of the Laurent-Perrier Grand Siecle champagne which is about the best AA serves anywhere. This retails for $200+ a bottle. A step down from the Krug they used to serve but still quite good and delicious. The corn chowder amuse bouche was tasty. The scallops starter was very tasty, and the scallops tasted fresh and flavorful. Similarly the salmon was quite delicious and fresh. Simple presentation but good. The creme brûlée dessert was quite delicious as well. I enjoyed two Irish coffees as well with dessert. Very smooth and delicious and strong! You are welcome to stay in the dining room as long as you'd like, but you can also enjoy the main flagship lounge once you're done with your meal. This was truly an exceptional experience and well worth the small amount of miles. Try it if you are able to!!

Yelp
Great. One of the best US based clubs. Good food selection. Even better spirits and wine selection. Service is generally great, though I did see a server suck their teeth at another patron that asked if the sushi would be refilled. Ambiance is clean, but lacking comfortable sitting spaces. Overall, good for a US lounge. Lacking what makes international lounges truly special.

Yelp
Thank god we had access to the lounge after repeated delays on our layover! We had stopped over at the AA lounges in Terminal A and C, and definitely this lounge was better - they have a good food and drink selection. Perhaps it was just because of the day of delays for everyone, but the lounge was VERY crowded and we had to hunt quite a bit in order to get a table for 3 people. But all is forgiven, as I got to use the showers, which was just insanely glorious on a long travel day. It was a very very welcome experience, and the shower space was quite roomy and very clean. The food selection was decent, and the employees were working very hard to clean up after folks as fast as they could. The lounge also overlooks the runway for some plane viewing!

Yelp
My flight was delayed almost 10 hours with no updates until passengers went to the front desk asking for an update. The staff was rude and frustrated with the passengers constantly asking for updates. They changed our gate 7 times!!! To 4 different terminals!!! After waiting 7 hours I got an e-mail offering only a food voucher. The customer service line was ridiculous because of how many flights were over 10 hours delayed or cancelled!! I've been flying for over 30 years and have never had such a bad experience!!! Even frontier has better service than this!!! Oh and was only given a $12 food voucher at 1am with all the food places closed!!! Oh just got pushed again to 7am. So a 5:45pm flight on 07/31/25 that was initially only supposed to be a 30 minute delay turned to a 7am 13+ hour delay flight 08/01/25!!!! FUCK America airlines!!!!! 2am just changed gate & terminal AGAIN!!!! 3:13am flight was just cancelled!!!!

Yelp
Like all the other American flagship lounges, it's fine. Decent food, lots of spirits and drinks, underwhelming space. It's a lot better than being stuck at an Admiral's Club (don't even bother) but is a step below other international lounges. Food here isn't bad. It's buffet style with buffet taste. Don't expect too much and you'll likely be content. There's usually a made order station here with things like omelets or tacos depending on the time of day. No bartender but a wide selection of spirits, beers and wine you can help yourself to which is usually what I prefer. Space is slightly above functional but definitely not as nice as their own Soho lounge at JFK. It's fine but don't expect to feel completely relaxed here.
google avatar

Doug C.

Yelp
Super place to wait out your next flight. One must qualify to enter Flagship Lounge more than Admiral's Club. Higher status of flyer and international flight upcoming seems to be required. Free wine and lots of good food. Comfortable seating with power plugs close to connect/recharge.

Yelp
Overall a great lounge with welcoming front staff. The lounge is very spacious and offers a wide diversity of sitting areas. The food is very solid better than the Amex lounge that now always has long lines. Their crab cake station is a must visit. Miguel our area service person was super helpful. We also received some welcoming Pieper Heidsick champagne at the entry which was really cool. The lounge offers a fantastic selection of refreshments, including Topo Chico mineral water!

Yelp
With a long layover and an expiring airline fee credit on my AMEX Platinum card, I decided to peruse the Flagship Lounge with a single day pass to see how the other half lives. Located in terminal D, it is just a couple gates down from the main Admirals Club. The entrance to Flagship is shared with the Capital One lounge. There was a large crowd of folks queuing for Cap One as it seems they were overcrowded. After hopping off the elevator, I walked toward the club entrance. I paid my fee and the host escorted me into the club and explained where the amenities are. If you are an Admirals Club regular, then you'll feel right at home with similar design aesthetics. Large windows lined the entire length of the club facing the airfield. The Flagship Lounge offers more space and seating with power outlets, better food and beverage selection, and a generally more pleasant experience. While busy, it did not have the feel of a crowded AC lounge with less noise. Alcoholic beverages are provided through an honor bar and a wide array of decent quality liquor. There's also a self-serve selection of standard and craft beers (Shiner is included) and a nice array of wines and champagne. Food is served on two large buffets, one with a higher end selection of sushi rolls, cheeses. meats and crispbreads, the other with hot entrees. On the day of my visit, there was a chimichurri rockfish with egglant, smoked pulled chicken, some vegetarian dishes with rice, and an Indian inspired fried cheese. There was a chef station that was offering freshly made birria tacos that looked and smelled pretty good. There were two soups in the standard AC turreens, as well as the expected soft drink station, sparkling water and other beverages (Coke products). As this lounge is generally frequented by international travelers, there are private showers available for use. If you're feeling grungy, this is a nice amenity to have. Restrooms were very clean, a big deal for me. Overall, after having visited some other international clubs, I think that this location compares well with the ANA lounge at Narita as well as the American Express Centurion Lounge but with more space to spread out. I don't think that there is a membership available for this and that's probably why the crowd is comfortable without hordes of travelers. If you get a chance to visit, it's pretty awesome for American Airlines. Recommended.

Yelp
The Flagship lounge is located between Gate 22 and 23 surrounded by Duty Free shops. The lounge is spacious with a wonderful selection of food and beverages. While it's an American Airlines lounge, admission for OneWorld partners is offered for Emerald, Sapphire level and based on category of the booking. The staff are friendly and champagne is offered as you enter. Lots of seating options are available and the buffet has food to cater to everyone's palette and dietary preferences. Same goes for beverage option, both non alcoholic and alcoholic. Flight announcements in the lounge make it convenient to get to the specific gate at the right time. Will I return? : For sure!

Yelp
Overall I had a great experience at this lounge. I found myself spending quite a bit of time here on my way to Doha. Qatar airlines say they have online check in, but it's not very helpful when for certain flights you still have to go and check in. They will give you a confirmation pass, but it doesn't look very official. I had a long layover at DFW. I came in around 2 but would have to wait for about 5 hours for the Qatar check in desk to open. I knew this issue was a possibility so I brought my carry along with me and stayed airside. I had a little nosh and rest, people watched, and then decided to try my luck with this non boarding pass at Flagship lounge since I was flying business. To my absolute wonder the man at check in was so kind and didn't make a big deal about my weird circumstances. He just had me promise to bring my boarding pass to them when I did finally check in, which I did. I can't tell you how much it meant for I just have something go easily for once! Anyway the lounge is pretty big and there are different seating areas and a quiet room. The food was ok, but I'm a vegetarian so what do we know? I was able to find some things. The booze was great given they had my fav bourbon on offer and lots of champagne. Though oddly... by the champagne area there was this worker standing there for a long time. But when you approach he just kinda looked at you as you poured your own champagne. I'll be honest, it was very freaking awkward. Camilla (my hen in the pics) was so excited for her champers that she just started to pour and didn't even notice this guy just... standing as if to help pour or something but literally just standing there. Not even a smile or nod back from him when I did so. Because of course I am there trying to get champagne for a hen, and take pics because this is fancy to me given Flagship is a treat. He's just standing there as if to assist or do something but ... not. Just weird. They need to just keep that area free of workers unless they have a function. It's awkward! The seating areas make it fun to listen to other people tell stories. That's right! I will listen to your conversations if I am bored. I am not even ashamed to do so! I got to hear a story about Italian stripper in France! Thanks strangers! Overall this is a wonderful lounge. I like the food at the centurion lounge more but they tend to go all out for vegetarians. They also have these cookies! Yum! But this lounge is freaking awesome for self poor drinks. Even make your bloody Mary's with awesome ingredients! Oh! They also have the first class dining option but I'm not THAT fancy (like hardly ever) and so didn't get to do anything but peer in like a creep. Definitely pop by it you have access!!! If you see someone at the champagne area just pretend they aren't there and pour your own drink.

Yelp
Here' the problem: The Flagship lounge, at American's home hub, at American's largest hub... they are going to show off! ProTip: Get here early, and settle in... if you have this privilege, this is a great place to use it... and it makes several others look tacky! The staff is always super friendly! If you have a cancellation, get in here and let this staff work for you! If you need to switch flights, they got you! The free champagne and buffet is the sideshow when you know how to use these people! 4 STARS

Yelp
We came in the morning for an early flight. It wasn't crowded. There's lots of seating. Hot food selection was limited and unappetizing. It looked dry, and it was only 6 a.m. so it was really disappointing. They need to step up their game. Other lounges are way better. I was looking for croissants, but there was none. Bagels were good.
google avatar

Rhonda S.

Yelp
It was just ok compared to other airport lounges. The bartender was fast but not that friendly. I didn't find the food selection that great. I got a few cheese cubes and crackers, and a house glass of Chardonnay. The bathrooms are super clean though and nice facilities overall. It is a very busy lounge but I was lucky to find a comfy chair in the corner. Other lounges I have been to have had a better selection.

Yelp
This fabulous American Airlines Flagship Lounge was a silver lining to an otherwise horrendous day at DFW of my scheduled flight. Courteous, patient, and, as helpful as they could be ticketing agents here. Amazing service all around. Spacious. Great Wi-Fi. A glass of champagne at arrival. Open bar. Hot and cold buffet selections. Much quieter than Admirals Clubs! CHEERS!
google avatar

Angela B.

Yelp
There was definitely quite a few different areas you could relax in & the football game was on the tv near the bar. It was a little louder in that area but after grabbing a little food after the game I was able to move to another space in the club & enjoy the quiet to get some work done. The bartender at the main bar was not very friendly & looked annoyed by everyone & everything. However the refreshment team in that food area were super friendly, efficient & did a great job. The place as a whole felt a little dirty as far as tables and chairs not being wiped down but that may have just been because it was busy,

Yelp
This is a very large lounge with great views of the runway. There is a lot of seating. Some of the seating is in a workspace configuration which is great for business travelers and then there are some areas grouped together for families. The food was good, but not great, although there is some effort, to have some elevated offerings, the taste varies from blah to great so the overall impression is somewhere in between. Also, there seemed to be a lot of empty space on the buffet so the offerings seemed to be a bit limiting. The staff does a great job of tidying and picking up plates, so the lounge area is very clean, but the bathrooms are another story. I had to go though two stalls before finding one that wasn't dirty. Just because we're in a nice lounge, don't think that people will not take an opportunity to be gross and leave paper on the floor and tinkle on the seat. The dirty bathroom was definitely a disappointment, but the overall impression is that this is a great lounge, but have realistic expectations on what a lounge this size can deliver.
google avatar

Robert B.

Yelp
This Flagship Lounge was underwhelming. I read the reviews of others and have to agree the staff is not friendly, helpful or happy. The space is soso, the food is not great. I'll stick with American Express Centurion lounge when in this airport.
google avatar

David B.

Yelp
Excellent front staff. Polite and helpful. There's also a champagne desk ready to pour you a drink prior to entry! This lounge has it all. Great food selections and also a private dinner is available if you meet the criteria under the Flagship flying rules and guidelines (I opted not to have dinner here). The open bar and self pour of top shelf spirits was very cool (They have touch screens and staff nearby to assist you if you needed help making your favorite cocktail). Also, the self serve alcohol and non-alcohol selections in the two large fridges was fully stocked and had a decent variety available. I found that the food here was equal to if not better than the five course dinner provided in international first or business class. The lounge itself is about average size but not as many people as one would find in a typical Admiral's Club. I don't understand the poor reviews on this site but I'm guessing their expectations were set very high considering this is the American hub at DFW. I fully intend to use this lounge on my next couple of international flights. Although, I will definitely make dinner reservations next time. Happy flying!

Yelp
Food: 5* Service: 5* Ambience: 4* Pro-tip: Service is meant to be enjoyed so give yourself time here to order, eat, and drink. Very nice place to wait for your flight. Very enjoyable experience. The menu driven food was excellent and having the opportunity to sit down and be served was great.

Yelp
I was denied access. -refused my first class ticket (as was "just domestic") -refused my friend's American Air # (they couldn't find) -refused my American Air # (not high enough level) -refused to sell day pass 1/2 price thru my Alaska Air credit Card/One World Access -refused to sell full price day pass -talked down at me from a podium very rudely whole time while I was in wheelchair so couldn't hear well. Note that I had prearranged an American Air escort, TSA Cares escort, was supposed to stay (in this, the closest lounge to my departing flight) due to my serious cognition & physical issues. The front gal couldn't care less. And note that this same day another Early Onset Dementia Passenger was lost in (another) airport by an escort as plans were not followed...) sounds like due to a similar lack of care. Shame on this lounge. ***It should be noted I almost never write anything bad in a review...but this experience was so embarrassing & shocking that other people, especially with Accessibility/ADA Accommodation needs, should be aware.*** I'm hoping my future flights out of Dallas are not thru this same terminal/gate...

Rachid K.

Yelp
Not worth it! Okay good, rude staff. American never files to shape how little they appreciate their costumers. This was supposed to be their best lounge but you'd probably get better service elsewhere.

Yelp
Was able to access the flagship lounge recently when flying Japan Airlines first class from DFW to HND. Enjoyed every second of my time here! I was there for a 5 hour layover. The brunch spread had plenty of options from sushi to bacon and eggs. There is an eggs-to-order station as well, in case you're craving an omelet. There are more drinks than you can shake a stick at. Champagne, wine, beer, juice, water, you name it. The bar is serve yourself as well, they have a great selection of spirits. Staff are milling about in case you need anything. We had great interactions with them all, they were so helpful and kind. There are showers available. Bathrooms were very clean and well taken care of. The lounge was not crowded at all. We had plenty of space to relax. The lounge has great views of the apron, we watched so many planes come and go!

Yelp
It's a lounge worth visiting. When I'm traveling international i have access to this lounge and i tack advantage of the space. If travel is domestic and i only have access to the regular lounge i pass. Differences: Admiral's pay for most drinks, very limited food, crowded, bartenders act as it they are in a tourist bar, not friendly no conversation. At least i still tip them. Flagship: Decent food with good options, the bar is self serve, staff are helpful, good light and better maintained. Non alcoholic drinks offering start with the big brands served from a machine so limited. The flagship lounge also have unique options, flavored sparkling water, premium root beer, ginger soda and others. So, if I'm traveling international and have Flagship access, yes - domestic with only access to the Admiral's lounge, I'll head to a public restaurant/bar.

Yelp
Flagship lounge has more windows than all the windows in AA lounges put together. With the best view, comparably better than air control tower because this view comes with a dining and expresso

Yelp
Sallie at the club in terminal C needs to take a chill pill! The minute you walk in she is barking orders at you! Stand over there, get your ID ready! I felt I was in trouble. When I asked her a question about the American Airlines App she was demeaning and condescending. Delta Airlines here I come! The customer experience was awful and she needs to remember that we pay her salary by having a membership.
google avatar

Kevin W.

Yelp
This is a pretty good lounge. They give you the wifi password upfront when you check in. Not enough seats in the lounge. I could not find anywhere to sit. Bartender was over worked and took a while to get to me. Free food bar was well stocked but was missing key items. Why would you have spinach dip with no chips? Attendant simply stated they didn't have chips at the moment.

Yelp
This is way better than run of the mill admiral lounges. Quieter, good collection of warm food. Almost a full bar.

Yelp
Top notch. If you want to relax In style while traveling this is the place great food and drinks that range from champagne to lattes. With some LOTS of room that is quite. You can even take a shower if you want.. you have to try this at least once in your life.

Loved this lounge experience. I'm a Diamond on Delta girl, so I visited all of the sky lounges. Howeve, on this day, I was traveling with a Concierge Key holder and got to experience this lounge. I was impressed and it takes a lot to wow me. The lounge wasn't crowded and we were offered champagne upon arrival. #winning. It was a very quick visit. We walked through found a seat and grabbed a bite to eat. Salmon, beef, vegetables, pasta potatoes and good selection. Self serve wine, beer and non alcoholic drinks. Loved everything about this and did I mention it wasn't crowded?? Finally a trip to the bathroom. Heated seats and other controls. Very nice. Overall, the entire lounge was a wonderful experience. Now - how do I get a concierge key??

Yelp
Very nice admirals club at this location. Bartender is always friendly and will make a martini unlike another club I've been to. Large enough to not be crowded. Food and snacks are very good. Love the soup!!

Yelp
We have been in many of American Airlines Admirals clubs, and we have never been disappointed. There is usually a light buffet and soup that is hot and tasty. In the afternoons there is a guacamole stand with guacamole made on demand--yum yum. House wines and well drinks are free. It is so nice when your worn out to have a nice quite place to rest between flights. Additionally, the bathrooms are very clean, and the larger clubs have showers. Try it; you will like it!

Yelp
Now that I've become the Duke of the Flagship Lounge at DFW, I wanted to just say I have become spoiled...lol! As a long-time member of the Admirals Club, there is no comparassion! From all the food choices, every libation imagionable and of course the amazing staff, I highly recommend a visit. Also for AAdvantage Members...if you are not flying Flagship First or Flagship Business, you can use 15,000 AAdvantage miles to enter. I routinely so this because it's worth it!

Yelp
Service was acceptable. The airplane was clean. The seat could have been more comfortable, too firm. Food in business class is terrible. The only eatable item was the salad and the roll. The one great tradition still practiced is the warm nuts served with the initial drink service. Thank you for keeping that.

Yelp
A table of champagne greets you when you enter. There's a food buffet and you help yourself to a selection of wines and liquor. Within the lounge there's a Flagship dining room for people flying first class international. All good and drink here is amazing and is of no charge. Amazing food and service.

Yelp
This place is wonderful. If you travel a lot for work or not. This is a nice place to relax, get caught up on back log of emails, get a bite or just have downtime (long layover) its quite and the front desk is very helpful. The bathrooms are far better than what's in the main part of the airport. It's my go to place. Full bar, beer on tap and some liquor or wine is free. They also have snacks and coffee or tea.

Yelp
Wow. A very relaxing experience. A welcome glass of champagne, plenty of seating without feeling crowded. Enjoy self liquor service and quality food

Yelp
Mediocre lounge not helped by the chap on the desk, Will, having "a moment" when I requested flagship dining. Will decided not only did he require my boarding card but also my passport and address prior to letting me dine in the Flagship First dining facility, a process that took so long I was wondering if it was to be posted to me rather than offered - thanks Will In comparison to British Airways First dining, Etihad dining and Emirates dining the experience was poor - thanks Will. Once finally allowed into the dining room the service was very pleasant. The food though is very mediocre and a plate of pasta which is over cooked garnished with wilted rocket hardly resembled first class. Wines were nice, maybe Will was just trying to save me the mediocre dining experience, thanks Will.....

Yelp
Flagship it is! This is one of the best domestic airline lounges I have been too. Perhaps it falls short of some international carriers like Singapore or Lufthansa but it is rock solid. The shower was nice clean and available would have liked to see a dental kit there. Food nice and copious as were the wines and open bar. At 0500 in the am we were greeted with Texas smiles and charm!

Yelp
Super clean lounge with lots of varied areas to hang out. The food was kept warm and refilled. They had ample champagne and the alcohol though self serve was all top shelf stuff. But the piece de resistance was definitely the bathrooms with their Japanese style Toto toilets and washlets!

Yelp
This lounge is located within the Term D Admiral's club. For those flying internationally business class or better can gain access. This is not your typical Flagship Lounge with a full top shelf complimentary bar and a wide variety of dining options but it is a step in the right direction. The dining options are pretty good and it can be as healthy as you wish. There are Comped water, wine , and champagne. Service is good and friendly. Be aware it will get crowded and you may have to wait for access. I like to dine on their fresh food offerings have a couple of cocktails and then just sleep on my long haul trips. I would like to see AA take this to the next step (step up) and bring this club up to the levels of say the Qantas 1st class or even the AA Int'l clubs.

Yelp
So I'm proud to be the first person to review the new Flagship lounge at DFW. I am also proud to point out a couple of things. Firstly that the name of this lounge now it has been renovated is simply the Flagship lounge. Secondly anyone who wonders why the Admirals Club is the same as all the others worldwide is in the Admirals Club, NOT the Flagship Lounge. That is by gate 24 and easy to find. Yes, that's where you are. And I'm sorry, I am sad for you. This is by gate 22 and a little hidden. It's not that the Admirals Club in D is bad. Au contraire, it is brand spanking new and lovely as Admirals Club's go. But that's domestic. This is international. Which is as Cooks sparkling is to Dom Perignon. And this, this is like visiting the Oberoi at Agra vs any other Oberoi. Sure they are all palaces. Sure they all have 6* plus service. But only one has a view from every balcony of the Taj Mahal. Only one has a terrace on Conde Haste's top ten places to have a drink before you die list. This is to AA lounges what the Amarvilas is to Oberoi. What's so special? It's huge, firstly. Which it needs to be to accommodate all the long haul business travelers and Concierge Key types who are allowed in. Almost all long haul at DFW goes from terminal D, which means this lounge should be built to not make them feel crowded. It feels like a huge hobbit hole, and that means comfort. Food is locally inspired and chef curated. Serve yourself. Drinks are the same. Local beers, mid well spirits. Decent wine. Good bubbles. Almost every seat has power. Bathrooms are spacious and clean. There are showers. Workstations overlook the gates so if you are the type of person who says on IM 'my 777-200er arrived so I'll be home in 13.7 hours'? All set. Better, if you are flying First long haul on AA or BA they have Flagship First Dining. This is a haven within a luxury. Full, top shelf bar. Cocktails. Wonderful bar staff. A sit down restaurant where the food is, I can say, amazing. They have the impossible burger. Real, edible food. Just the thing before flying to Israel. Now I realize saying this makes me an ass, but this is special. This is how first class should make you feel before you board the plane. You can eat. You can drink, the margarita is amazing. You can work. You can do all 3 (don't send that email. Trust me. Don't. Or tweet). The only complaint, if this is a complaint, is that as this area fills a little (it isn't full, and I am here at prime time) the overuse of showey marble makes it easy to clean up downed passengers, but a little echoey. Nothing one more cocktail won't fix. This isn't the Concorde room. But at the same time it's good in that way. It's smaller, way more intimate. Very Texas. Similar service. Crisp and clean. It is a fine cocktail vs a decent claret. And it makes you feel special special. Appreciated. In a small way almost loved. And for that it earns 5 stars. And before you say 'oh but Ian you never met a lounge you didn't love and give 5 stars'. On Friday I will review the Dan+ lounge in Tel Aviv. And 5 star that is not. But it needs pictures. Follow up- yelp does not cover lounges in Tel Aviv. But if you are ever there there are three Dan lounges, one in each concourse. They are of various sizes. Which is irrelevant because they are all stuck in 1973 furniture design, all overcrowded, all ever so slightly smelly and all one star.

Yelp
Honestly, I was expecting a lot. But although the sit down dining was excellant and well appointed, everything else was a C grade or almost Fail. The buffett was cold. EVERYTHING was cold, including the California roll sushi. Eggs-cold, bacon-cold, "fried" potatoes/yams- cold. Second thought, the coffee was hot, but with the fancy wazoo machine, no steamed milk? Took a shower and the water was not hot, and there is no place to put your luggage without it getting wet ( open shower concept), and the sink was most 20" away from the edge of the counter. Anyone shorter then 6' 2" will need to lay across the sink to brush their teeth! The ONLY thing that this lounge gets top marks in is plane spotting. Best view in a club/lounge I have ever seen! My recommendation? The food is very mediocre, but the service is prompt. I will stick with the nearby Admirals Club, unless it gdts insanely busy.

Yelp
This is a welcome stop while traveling. This location is big (It is Texas). They have ample lounging areas with outlets. They have showers, business room, full bar and more amenities I probably didn't see. Staff was friendly. Hubby had avocado toast, made to order.

Yelp
I do not know why people refer to this particular Admiral's Club as "Flagship." Sure, it is located in the main AA hub airport DFW; however, there are also lounges in Terminals A, B, and C (not one in E; don't know if that's in the future or not). The TERMINAL D AAA's Club is the newest out of the four to choose from, but is certainly not the largest or best by any definition. The only thing this Club offers that the other DFW locales do not is the relatively new "International Dining Room" (that used to be the enclosed smoking room; have no idea how they got the smell out). A lot of DFW's international flights depart from Term D. Like all others at DFW, the AAA's Club in Terminal D offers light snacks (e.g., cheese, olives, crackers, hummus, fruit, soups, etc.), a full coffee and tea bar, and select UNLIMITED complimentary beer, wine, and spirits at the bar. The people who have mentioned the "one drink ticket" were sadly misinformed or simply did not understand how the Clubs work. If you're flying international, an AA staff member will give you one free drink ticket at check-in that can be used for ANY premium drink of your choice. If you don't want to pay and keep boozing, just ask what the comp offerings are. Some other "international" clubs (e.g., Narita Tokyo) do offer unlimited premium cocktails; however, I've yet to experience such a luxury in the U.S...that I can recall anyway...hmm...;) Overall: The TermD AAA'sC is smaller than other DFW Clubs (I think C is by far the largest). It is still spacious, has wonderful customer service, plenty of outlets and a selection of different seating areas, the typical free food and drink, and showers if you so desire/require. It is what it is. Happy flying!

Yelp
If you are in need of snacks, showers and a little sleep you have all you need in the American Airlines Admiral club. Plenty of seats with an amazing panoramic view of the tarmac at DFW. Wi-Fi available at check-in. Service is attentive and quick. Be sure you know which gate you need to depart from and the boarding time because there were no announcements.

Yelp
DFW is home to American Airlines, so it's no surprise that their flagship lounge would be located right inside Terminal D! Spacious, clean, and bright are the words I would use to describe this getaway from the hustle and bustle of the airport. Being an American-based airliner and lounge, you should not expect to receive free meals or bottomless drinks like our Asian and European sister lounges. However, this Admiral's Club still offers a nice variety of complimentary snacks and a drink upon entry. The bartender was very generous when we ordered a pinot noir and a Kettle One Cran- the vodka was definitely permeating through the drink. There were computers, giant sofa seats, plugs, and coffee tables to sit back and relax before taking off on your next flight. With my layover, I was able to also take advantage of the complimentary showers provided by the lounge. While there was a wait, the showers were private with its own toilet inside, making it a comfortable time to get washed up. If you happen to be flying First Class on a OneWorld ticket, treat yourself to the free international dining room. Everything looked really good! For the rest of us, we'll settle for basic snacks unless you want to order from their dining menu. Enjoy the lounge space AA offers, and have a safe flight!

Yelp
