I moved in 3 months ago and enjoy the American Can apartments! The unique look and floor plans, the resort like pool area, and pet friendly atmosphere are great. The employees, Elizabeth, Michael, Derrick, and Matt are all welcoming, helpful and friendly.

I’ve lived here for two years and recently transferred into a renovated apartment—I’m so happy with the upgrade! The space is beautiful, with original windows, 16-ft ceilings, new appliances, cabinets, countertops, and a fully updated bathroom. The lofty layout and great closet space are a huge bonus. The amenities and courtyard are next level, and the location—right off Bayou St. John and The Greenway—is unbeatable. As a local, this is hands-down my favorite neighborhood. Big thanks to Derrick, Michael, and Elizabeth in the office for always being so friendly and going above and beyond. Shoutout to Joe, Matthew, and Jose on the maintenance team—they’re quick, reliable, and consistently excellent!

Amazing apartments. Very clean and the renovated ones have all new appliances and great showers. Never saw a single bug or pest. Very clean and they are proactive at keeping things working appropriately. Shout out to Derek for being a very understand and kind manager, but all staff are helpful. Never felt like I was a problem.

I have been living here for a few months now and I absolutely love it! Maintenance has been super quick to respond the few times I have put in a request. The staff in the front office is absolutely amazing & all other staff is so kind and helpful. Highly recommend living here! The amenities are well kept & the building is always clean!

A couple of points about my experience. 1. One of the buildings elevators almost gave me a panic attack. I got stuck in the elevator and it dropped 2 floors violently before opening. Had to use emergency call button. 2. By the dog park, it can sometimes reek of dog shit. Not exactly a pleasant way to enter the building. 3. Fees, be aware of all the fees in the lease. Found it to be excessive. 4. Payment portal, had an issue with rent one month. Residential Manager gas lit me into saying it was my bank that had the issue. They charged me rent 3 times for the same month with little to no help until I pushed to speak with the regional manager. Little transparency on that was very stressful and frustrating. 5. Overall, loved the apartment itself. Water shut off at inconvenient times and they are doing renovations so beware of noise nearby. Wifi was fast and worked great. Gym was ok—missing and old equipment but functional.

I LOVE IT HERE!!! I just moved to New Orleans from New York City, and the American Can crew made my transition so easy. Michael made sure every “i” was dotted and every “t” was crossed—from over 1,000 miles away! I even got my apartment at a great deal. I’m a big walker (of course, coming from NYC), and this neighborhood is very walkable—and absolutely beautiful. The property itself is just as stunning. I work from home, and it’s great to have nearby spots where you can work if you want a change of scenery from your apartment. Huge shoutout to Michael, Elizabeth, and Derrick for holding it down and taking care of everything. Couldn’t be happier!
