American Dream Near MetLife Stadium Will Have Over 100 Dining Options - Eater NY

"Over 100 restaurants will go into an enormous mall in New Jersey next to MetLife Stadium, with more than 20 full-service restaurants, two food halls, and dozens of grab-and-go options opening in spring 2019. American Dream in East Rutherford has been 16 years in the making, and many are incredulous that the ambitious project — which includes shops, an actual indoor ski slope, a Nickelodeon water park, Dreamworks theme park, ice skating rink, and more — is actually happening." - Stefanie Tuder

Yelp
There're many interesting brands here. Like the malls back in my homeland And we enjoyed skiing in the BigSnow!

Yelp
Have shopped, skiied, and eaten here 3x in the past year and have only acclaim. First time was friend's birthday party at Nickelodeon theme park, second time was Dreamworks Water Park, third time and most recent time time was a Big Snow lesson then lunch. There might have been a fourth time only of eating and shopping, but regardless, always the mall offers the top notch experiences of so so many kinds. Truly there is nearly any and every kind of mall experience from a rotating series to the optical illusions to water and theme parks (quite top notch) to ice skating to a giant and well maintained arcade (oversized games!) to ferris wheel to so much else (no cinema); a large array of eateries big and small, local and national, all types of food, fast to slow; and their expected comfortable shopping from normal thru the highish end (including some retail experiences). Eating is similarly side with multiple dozens of a well chosen array that should satisfy nearly any of the expected audience, with special nods to the Asian choices which represent so much of the spending audience. Warning that on game days, the parking meters may register $60 not $5 for all 4 decks so you then hit the live remote call to get a live aide who uses the in-machine camera to visually confirm your receipt then remotely change the price there. The correct way is to get a validation bar code from customer service beforehand by showing your same-day receipt. Getting a refund after paying accidentally means the same but emailed to their publicly shown customerservices at americandream email. The 4 decks aren't far apart but choosing the right one on the maps saves some discomfort. Special nods to the Deck A Fl 2 for easy Big Snow access via wide alleyway and Fl 3 for the quietest entrance albeit sky-exposed. Deck A is closed to non-game patrons on game days. All in all, a stellar mall with a storied history of how it came to be and controversial environmental impact but now that it's here, it's quite a contentful experience.

Yelp
I was blown away with American Dream Mall. It was so incredibly fun, spotlessly clean, and full of little surprises. A full water park, a giant amusement park, an ice skating rink, mini golf, laser tag, and things I can't even remember. You could certainly spend an entire weekend there and still not get to everything. My kids had a blast. We went on a Friday right when the mall opened and it was not busy at all. We didn't have to wait in a line for anything. Amazing shopping options and food if you don't participate in the other attractions. You can spend a lot of $ and have fun or spend a little and still make it fun. If you've been considering it, now's your time! I am very judgey of places like this (usually because they're crowded and gross), so for me to be blown away is a huge compliment. It exceeded expectations for sure.

Yelp
Had time to kill waiting to pick up at Newark airport so I thought I'd see what the hype was. It was about 3 hours till closing on a Tuesday mid December and the place was not very busy at all. Lots of vacant store fronts but they did a nice job covering the entrances with graphics. Indoor ski area was open and not crowded but the bar next to it was. As far as the rest of the mall barely people. Had to pay to park but the first hour was free. Very clean and decorated well for the holidays. Considering the time of day I am willing not to be too tough on the place as it looks like they care.

Yelp
Mall is pretty big, cool and crowded. Different compared to other malls that are empty or ghost town. There is definitely a different and alive vibe in this mall. I guess that's why its called American Dream because it revitalizes the desired American Dream. It felt that way. There were lots of stores in here that piqued my interest. Will definitely come back again in the future to explore more this place

Yelp
This mall is the best mall I've ever been to. It reminds of the greatness of malls in the 80's and 90's. It has so many great stores and restaurants plus the amount of activities it has is mind boggling. For as huge as it is it's a pretty chill place. Everyone was doing their thing minding their business and I didn't see any drama which is rare nowadays. I can't wait to come back and ski. Great place!

Yelp
I just had my first experience at American dream mall. I did not get to explore the entire mall as it is huge and has a ton of amenities between shopping and lifestyle which include restaurants and a full indoor skiing slope. My purpose was to attend a cooking demo and book signing on the American dream stage. It was incredibly easy to access. As soon as I pulled in I found parking garage A. After parking took the escalator to floor 1 the stage was right there. Now that I realize how efficient and easy this process was, I'm going to keep an eye out for other events at the stage, so hopefully attend in the future.

Yelp
Not much to say about this mall but the fact that it's amazing. From the indoor water park/theme park, from the plentiful activities they have available. You have tons of stores to shop from. So many options of food, and it's accessible to get to from Port Authority. So if you don't drive, or don't want to l, catch a NJ transit bus that will take you straight there, and bring you home to New York if that's where you live. My girls and I took a day trip here, and there is no way you could tour this whole mall in one day. You would want to come back for sure if you want a day of fun, or just hanging out there is something you would find here to enjoy for sure. Two thumbs up from me- Happy Yelping!

Yelp
I loved Marcus Live here (great restaurant) but I was shocked by the prices of everything here. I mean, I was all excited to get some frozen Vanessa's Dumplings but they are $18.88 a bag here. Is this some kind of joke? You put a lot of 8s in a price and think someone is going to pay? Pay for parking? $3 for water? No wonder the food court is empty. Do they validate parking with a purchase? I did not see any signs saying they do. Also, not very many NJ transit busses go there. An Uber ride here from Fort Lee costs $25. The 756 bus takes you straight to the Riverside and Garden State Plaza malls for a few dollars. I only give it 4 stars because of Marcus Live and the Hmart here. But if you want people to come, make it easier!

Yelp
American Dream is a complex located in East Rutherford, NJ. You name it and American Dream has it....Shopping, Entertainment, Activities, Dining, etc. It is also home to Nickelodeon Universe, the Nickelodeon-Themed Amusement & Water Park. American Dream has chic / colorful decor all throughout the complex. Gorgeous artwork, chandeliers, statues, elegant & casual-style seating, cute greenery, cool water-features, etc. "The Avenue" has the high- end boutiques / stores like Balenciaga, Alexander Wang, Saks Fifth Avenue, etc. are in one section and they are separated from the urban, more casual stores. We went into multiple stores including Uggg and liked some of their selection. American Dream has various sections & great lighting throughout the place. BigSNOW is their ski area where patrons can purchase passes to ski, to go Tubing, etc. People can also purchase Instructor lessons. Vinoteca allows custoners to purchase a wine package and we were able to have a multiple-wine tasting. Jarana has Peruvian - Style Cuisine which we enjoyed for lunch. House of Que had a good Ladies Nigh promotion - the $7 Strawberry & Peach Margaritas were delicious and the Chicken Tenders we had were fresh. The Escape Room, Angry Birds Mini Golf, the LEGOLAND Discovery Center, Toys R Us, etc. - there are so many things for all individuals to enjoy at American Dream. Website - americandream.com Instagram - @americandream Mon. - Thurs. - 11am - 9pm Fri. & Sat. - 11am - 10pm Sun. - 11am - 7pm We plan to visit American Dream this upcoming Holiday Season!

Yelp
We browsed the shops and the food court of the mall. We liked how large it is and how much variety it has. We weren't able to try out the amusement park, skiing or the Nickelodeon universe yet but next time we'll try. For dinner we had Schezuan Opera, which we give a 3/5. The honey walnut shrimp were okay but not great and didn't look like your typical honey walnut shrimp. The beef noodle soup was tasty and the orange beef was good too! The Wetzel Pretzel was so good! The sample of the cinnamon sugar pretzel was So warm, buttery and sweet. The pizza pretzel was so good as well! I didn't care For their tomato sauce though. There are plenty of bathrooms on each floor from what I could see. The facilities were well maintained. The night we visited there was a small Christmas concert going on. We will visit it again because it's so large we weren't able to see everything!

Yelp
First, time here. I came to meet a great chef but I took advantage of the occasion and checked what this place can offer. I saw a lot of stores and restaurants. It's like a city... In the weekend I will come here to try a restaurant maybe and to check everything I can. This place has 4 huge parking lots and 2 of them are accesible to Taxis.

Yelp
This is a massive mall with so much to do, eat and shop. I went for the 1st time just to look around. The mall has 3 stories. Dreamworks Waterpark, Snowpark, an ice rink, a Toys R US, Nickelodeon park, luxury stores, average stores, dinning and much more. I went on a Monday the mall was clean and well maintained. I appreciated parking was just $5. I would go again with a more planned itinerary to spend more time there.

Yelp
Parking fee is 5$.. It's worth visiting because there's so many attractions all neatly located in this building. So many new businesses have opened here over the past year. Great for all types of families!! Something for everyone in this mall. It's always packed but it's big enough that you have room to breathe
google avatar

Yelp
If you are a parent with small kids you will love this mall. Anyone else should avoid this place. My 25 year old daughter and I needed clothes for the change of seasons, and the only department store is Saks. If you are not a fan of Saks, there are very few stores here that you can't find somewhere else. Be sure to not get run over by the Toys R Us choo choo train or the child operated animal scooters, both just being driven randomly throughout the mall. We found a quiet place to eat away from the mayhem at Vinoteca - sit in the restaurant and not in the food court. If you're not a kid or spending time with a kid, go somewhere else

Yelp
Just adding to my review! I love that American Dream mall host amazing events throughout the year!!! I recently won tickets to a love cooking demo with Kelsey Barnyard Clark courtesy of Yelp!! It was so much fun! I received an autograph signed cookbook from Kelsey! She was so sweet!!! Also Chef Marcus joined on stage which was such a treat!!! Thanks again to Sara and Yelp!

Yelp
Umm, this mall is huge, very huge. I'm just going to make this short and simple. A lot of walking around, over crowded, more dining than shops. This mall so far is over rated. Hopefully by next year more stores will be open.

Yelp
Super unique and large mall! I only stopped in quick before going to a football game at MetLife conveniently located right across from it (they offer event parking). There are SO many stores, an amusement park and water park which I peaked into, a skiing/snowboarding facility with a fireplace viewing area, arcades, mini golf, and a plethora of food options. I was overwhelmed walking through and definently need to come back and spend a full day to truly see what it has to offer. I stopped at Ugly Donuts and Corn Dogs for a quick bite, and loved their mozzarella dog and strawberry Nutella donut! Another unique foodie thing I got a kick out of -- Five Guys has a potato peeling competition. Can't find that anywhere else!

Yelp
Oh, how have this mall have come a long way since pandemic times. It went from a ghost town to a much more bustling establishment in a society where malls aren't as popular as it was in the 2000s. I'm happy to see that they are getting much more attraction, much more foot traffic, much more restaurants and eateries. However, I am a bit disappointed in their luxury wing. It honestly feels a little bit cheap to me, almost as if they are trying too hard to be like Short Hills. I definitely would not go here for the luxury wing but everywhere else is nice, especially the food area. This place is so large. I would wear sneakers because you probably will start having blisters. There's something for everyone to do whether you like fast food, dine in style restaurants, children's games, activities, water park, amusement park, indoor skiing, skating, museums, aquariums etc this place has it all. I think the one thing I like the most about this place is the parking, it's extremely cheap with plethora of space. Please don't change the prices of parking Dream Mall ! Especially since Sundays are a sad day for this mall, just due to the local government rules of not being able to have stores open. Otherwise, this place is great. I know they have a bus deal to bring you to New York round-trip as well. We see a lot of New Yorkers coming here on a day trip with family.

Yelp
American Dream is where the nighmare begins at the parking gararge that costs you money to park. Like how do you want me to come to a mall when I have to pay. Anyway, I come here for one thing only... business transaction!
google avatar

Michael N.

Yelp
Why... does this albatross exist... and why am I here? Granted, if I want to do a little downhill skiing in July or drop a few Benjamin's at the Nickelodeon theme park, it might make sense. But... bottom line it's a mall with all the usual suspects stores so again, why am I fifty miles from my home browsing through PacSun. Everytime I leave I say never again but American Dream is like a wreck on the highway where I can't help rubbernecking over the carnage. Count 'em, two stars.

Yelp
You better had good walking shoes for this mall, with over 200 stores and countless restaurants and attractions. AD mall is the creme da la crème of malls in NJ. With all of the top notch designers to the in-between this mall has everything. If you have children and want to keep them entertained try the top floor with arcade games, a paradox museum and laser tag. Of course, we did all of the above and had room to eat. This mall is incredible!

Yelp
EAST RUTHERFORD: American Dream is a shopping, dining, and entertainment destination and leashed dogs are allowed! The mall is stunningly beautiful, huge, and there is so much to see throughout. We walked 10,000 steps exploring all 3 levels that are full of shops, restaurants, and activities for guests of all ages and budgets. Exploring the space we were in awe of the modern design with sculptures, artwork, water fountains, and even from the floor to the ceiling, there are interesting details to take in. We enjoyed the resurgence of Toys R Us, watched people ski down the indoor mountain at Big Snow, walked through a garden wonderland, and had lunch at the food court with diverse options. We picked Brie up to use the escalators and there are also elevators for bigger pups. The one tough thing was finding a spot for Brie to go to the bathroom. There are no relief stations inside and we couldn't find any grass outside the mall. If your dog is comfortable going on cement/rocks outside, that will make things easier. All sized dogs are allowed in common areas of the mall. Check with each store to see if you can go in. Pet dogs are not allowed in any of the attractions. https://www.americandream.com/safety-and-security

Yelp
This mall for me is a hit or miss, anytime I visit. Years ago, I worked in this mall and it is a hike to get from one area to the next - of course, depending on where you are going. On the flip side, I love the variety you can find in the mall. There are restaurants of all kinds - fast food found in the food court - and many other areas with fine dining and fun experiences like the Wine Bar, Vinoteca. There's a Starbucks as well, Cinnabon, Mrs. field, and whenever I visit there are more and more restaurant and stores added - like the H Mart! (I was very happy about this addition) The mall even houses endless entertainment like the aquarium, black light mini gold, Big Snow, the Game room, ice skating, the theme park and more. My cons: SO MANY PEOPLE - it very often feels congested esp in busier areas like the bottom floor with the aquarium, h mart and stage. parking can sometimes be a hassle with the amount of ppl attending the mall. All in all, the place is good in the sense that there are so many options. I will still definitely be visiting and checking out the new additions they quite often have.

Yelp
It's always nice to walk through a mall and seeing all the interesting activities like the Rollercoaster and so many carnival rides. I really like how you can also walk through the mall and see the creative art and more adult areas to have a moment of calm and it also has the high priced stores like Ferrari, Balenciaga, Gucci and dream the dream or shop if you can it just gives a moment in time where you want to be. I hope to go back because there is so much to see and places to eat

Yelp
If you are looking for a place to let the kids run wild and do a little shopping in between, then the American Dream Mall can come in clutch. You probably already know plenty about the shopping aspect here - there are a wide variety of shops that will make sure you leave broke. So, I'll go over a few important things for families: 1. The closest parking lots to the amusement parks are B and C, and parking costs $5 for the day. 2. All of the amusement parks charge for tickets. However, Nickelodeon Park can be accessed without tickets. 3. The carts for kids cost $10 to rent. 4. There is filtered water near the bathrooms. So don't blow $4 on bottled water. 5. There are small interactive installments throughout the mall where the kids can play besides the amusement parks. This mall is by far one of the best in NJ. It's definitely a place where you can end up staying the whole day - and blowing your entire paycheck - at!
google avatar

Nehal A.

Yelp
The mall has moved on from it's summer vibe to fall/halloween theme now. The water fountain area was beautifully decorated with lots of Halloween props. Lots of events were going on over the weekend in Court A and C. Mall was very clean. Parking was easy to get. Always a pleasure stopping by AD.
google avatar

Joe T.

Yelp
We went to the indoor water park to celebrate my sons birthday and absolutely had a ball! The water was a great temperature in the wave pool, and even I got on a huge water slide for the first time in years! Parking was super convenient and only $5 for the day! A couple tips, arrive early (like 1/2 hour before they open) to get good spots. The locker system can be a bit confusing but there are attendant's to assist so don't stress it. Also you can brings snacks, beverages etc. and go out to the mall and re-enter all day!
google avatar

Wei H.

Yelp
Always love to come back for food and games. Even thought shops are closed on Sundays (Bergen county law) still tons of people.
google avatar

Jasmine A.

Yelp
So many things to do in this mall besides just shopping. Plan to spend an entire day here unless you have it planned out where you need to go. From clothing stores,to a grocery story, to an amusement park/water park,a candy store, different types of mini golf to choose from, escape room adventures, performances, restaurants & so much more! Parking is $5. I arrived at 11:30am about an half hour after they opened & it was so easy to walk around but as the afternoon went on the more crowded & congested the mall became. So much was going on from live performances & a fashion show. Not too many sales but being from NY I definitely enjoyed the tax free!

Simon K.

Yelp
Very Disappointed. Don't waste time going here. First First things first you get in a drive trough booth you press the button for a ticket and than you enter the Mall . There's high end luxury stores , and to many stores , music is crap . Big disappointment and a tourist trap. Please don't waste your time and money here. This mall is a big big big big Rip off

Yelp
I came here for a dinner being held as I have no other interest in this place other than food so I came a little early just to walk around and take a look as I figured I may not be back. It reminds me a lot of the Mall of America in Minnesota that is so large and overwhelming. There's a nice selection of restaurants and just about any store you can find. The garden area is nice and calming amongst the madness of a ski park, waterpark and arcade. I wanted to play a single game however I was told I needed to preload a card and use credits to play which I think would turn off people like me who only want to play one or two games. I did not purchase anything. The absolute worst experience came upon leaving where the signage was completely messed up and I went around in circles and it still did not put me on the highway I needed to get on but rather pushed me off onto the Turnpike where I had to pay a toll and go around in a circle to get back where I needed to go.
google avatar

Lynn S.

Yelp
This place is a huge mall which can be somewhat overwhelming when you first walk in. But you can find every selection of stores from very high end to your run of the mill stores in other malls. It is great place to walk and take in the sights. Parking can be a nightmare especially if there is something going on at Met life. I do love all the uniquely designed places of seating areas and there's this forest where you can take great photos. If you do ride share with Lyft and Uber, you need to go down to Garage A or D. That can be sort of complicated but can always ask security or customer info for help.
google avatar

Rosemond S.

Yelp
American Dream was truly a dream and I can't wait to return. It's the biggest mall I've ever been to and it literally has EVERYTHING. My son replaced his initial birthday plans with everything American Dream related now I.e. Skiing, ice skating, mini golf, etc. I went to nickelodeon theme park on a Friday at midday and had an absolute blast. It wasn't overly crowded and the selection of rides for each age group was perfect. There's tons of restaurant options in the mall and the food court was far better than I could have anticipated. Overall I give this mall 10/10. There's tons of bathrooms and QR code maps. Make sure you wear comfy shoes.
google avatar

Matt F.

Yelp
While I wouldn't call it a 'dream', this is a really good mall with plenty of options nonetheless. The mall is huge. I tried to walk it and I accomplished most of it. It was due to the structure of the mall that I missed a little area by mistake. Just walking the entirely of the mall you will certainly get your steps in. It's not confining either, as there's a lot of room for crowds without you feeling particularly crowded - which is good if you don't like crowds, like me. There's way too many businesses to list here, so check the directory online - including eateries, businesses, and other such things like the Angry Birds Mini golf. Some of the businesses are more than one floor as well. This mall has a theme park, a water park, an aquarium, skiing, an ice skating rink, an arcade, and plenty in between. If you're headed here for the parks, try and get here earlier. By the time it hit early afternoon, the lines for both were ridiculously long. There are parts of the mall that attempt to appear 'high end', so if that's your thing, you should enjoy it. Prices here are a little steep in some areas however, so keep that in mind. Some of the artsy parts are okay, others aren't my personal cup of tea - but plenty to look at in that regard. This mall is beyond welcoming in some aspects. There is plenty of seating and even areas to lay down. Random beanbags are also in some areas, tables, and there are plenty of charging stations. It typically opens at 11am. I thought it was 10am, so I had gotten there early. I'm grateful that I did, because by the time I got out hours later, the parking lot was packed. So if you are coming here and want a good spot, get here early enough. There is plenty of parking and several lots, but use caution due to the bad drivers navigating these lots and the ones waiting for spots to avoid walking an extra 10 feet. This mall is located in the potentially busy Meadowlands Sports Complex, so it's not typical in getting here without some hassles. I get why they put it here, but it can be a pain getting here - especially if there's an event or two also happening. Some of the signage isn't great, so pay attention so you don't miss your destination. Personally, I think it would've been better had they had put this mall in a different area geographically. Again, I get why they put it where they put it, but I'd have to think twice before considering coming here. Overall a pretty good and sizable mall. Plenty to do and you could easily spend hours here. Kids will love it of course. Recommended to all. Just check if there is a sporting event or concert in this Complex, because it might make a trip here become more of a hassle depending.

Yelp
Known as "the nation's leading Asian supermarket, H Mart, located inside the American Dream Mall in East Rutherford, has opened their Eatery Food Hall, where my partner and I paid a visit today. At 16,860 square feet, this is their largest food establishment in the Northeast, featuring a collection of Asian fast-casual favorites set in a modern-looking space. Patrons can indulge in a diverse range of culinary delights at eateries such as Sang's Tofu & Grill, The Bao, Gong Cha, and Tous les Jours, to name a few. Come on down and give this place a try.
google avatar

Bob S.

Yelp
We went to an event and had dinner at the Yard House. It was OK, not great, then again we didn't have time to try their many attractions. One negative was the lack of signage when we were exiting. We were lucky to find the Turnpike
google avatar

Amanda K.

Yelp
I feel like I could easily spend a week at this mall and still not see everything. There was truly so much to do here with shopping, eating, and activities. We were here for about 5 hours (2 hours to try the indoor snowboarding, very fun!), ate at mrbeast burger (good!), had dessert at the Oreo cafe (delish!), and walked around the amusement park area and around the shops. Parking was $5. I had a great time and would love to go back!

Yelp
This mall is huge and pretty much has everything. Your typical name brand stores like Apple, Crocs, Hollister and way more to unique places like the water park, amusement park, Ferris wheel, arcades, and much more. Easily spend a day here without even visiting the water park or amusement park. Awesome Mall.
google avatar

Diana S.

Yelp
I wish I started coming here sooner! This place has so much to do, so much so you won't get through it all in 1 day. And everything is, and can be, expensive. A lot of these places do run sales if you follow their social media accounts, and AAA also runs a discount for a select number of experiences. But with that being said, let's just get into it? THE DRIVE From Philadelphia, it's about 1.5 hours via I-95, but tolls are expensive ($40/day with EZ Pass). Avoiding tolls takes 2 hours and more gas. Your choice. PARKING Parking is $5 all day. On days when there's an event at the MetLife Stadium it is $40. But you can get it validated ONLY if you do an experience like snowboarding/skiing, the waterpark, amusement park, ice skating, the American Dream wheel just to name a few. So basically, if you're paying for an experience, within the mall, you can get the parking back down to $5. Otherwise, you may be screwed. Don't leave your parking ticket in the car. Bring it with you. Keep it in your wallet. Before you leave, you have to pay for parking. You can either pay for it inside at a kiosk, pay for it with your phone via Apple pay & scanning the QR code, or pay for it while exiting the parking garage at the kiosk booth. You have 25 minutes upon paying for your ticket to exit the parking garage before you're asked to pay for it again. UBER/LYFT/SHUTTLE If you're staying in the area, many hotels offer shuttle services. Those will drop you off at level 1. Level 1 has NOTHING else on it besides parking and cars. Level 2 is when the stars and mall entrance starts. Also, if you're trying to catch a lyft/uber out or into the place, that will happen on level 1. Just so you're aware! HOTELS There's plenty of hotel stays in and around the area, just check out the collections on my page for a few of them. I will regularly update it as time goes on. Some of the hotels do provide shuttle service to the mall as it is not within walking distance. FOOD So many food choices and options to choose from in a many different areas of the mall! BATHROOMS Most of the bathrooms most of the time are very clean and tidy, but during high volume times or after high volume times they are a huge mess! But that's normal, no matter where you go. People will be people. OVERALL I know this is a short review, but the experiences themselves get massive reviews from me if not entire blog posts on my website/blog, "dreamlikediana." Reviewing the mall as a whole, it is amazing, it is clean and tidy. There is a lot to do here, but it takes a lot of time to get through it all. Great place for family fun or a solo adventure! Not a far drive from Philly, but I also know people come out from out of state. Lots of hotel choices. The only location to have a Toys R Us, and they have this train for kids from Toys R Us that goes around the mall which is really cute!

Yelp
I can't believe I haven't been to this mall since it's opening in 2019. This place has got the best of so many worlds. Whether that world includes family filled fun, luxe shopping or trying new eats, this place has really got it all! The 2nd biggest mall in America is now my 2nd favorite mall in the New York/New Jersey metro area. Though I didn't even explore half of the stores, the dozen or so that I did visit were awesome. The mall has got your staple faves such as Bath and Body works, Victoria's Secret, Sephora, H&M and Express. I found some cool girlie items and Asian snacks in Mini So. Take a walk down the opposite end, called the Avenue and you'll find some luxury surprises in Hermes, Canada Goose and now a Gucci flagship. I highly recommend the Maze of mirrors! That was really fun. I still have so much to explore on my next visit. Go visit American Dream! Seriously...

Yelp
Such a great day, walking around the mall it is a little confusing to find things, and I cannot stand the map that you scan the QR code to your phone to find places. It wouldn't accept my you are here spot so I never knew which way to go. Sometimes we keep ending up walking around and ending up in the same spot. We played Angry Birds mini golf and that was a lot of fun. I hate that they charge for parking. If you buy something from the mall, they should validate your parking, especially if you were eating at a restaurant you shouldn't have to pay $5 to park your car to go eat. I get it if you were just spending the day and walking around, but if you are paying admission to an attraction you are already spending money. They should not charge to PARK period!

Yelp
Great mall, but I can't stand the fact that you have to pay for parking. Make sure you bring your walking shoes because it is very big.

Yelp
This was a nice detour from the mayhem of manhattan. An extremely short yet doable drive via the tunnel got us here in a half hour is some moderate traffic. This place is humongous to be cautious of where you park because it can be quite the trek to the actual amusement park which includes a water park & an actual ski slope. There's a fast pass available for purchase for the "extreme rides". Prior to coming a family alluded to needing many days here but I think the actual theme park is a day & maybe shopping for another so two days max. In closing this was the cheapest parking ever. For an entire day it was $5

Yelp
Great gorgeous area. Lots of shopping ,stores ,and places to eat so much room and things to see including an indoor theme park with full roller coasters. Also indoor skating rink and water park. Also skiing ! Yes I said that Parking has been a little trouble some .. parking ticket machine was really not working with the cash part and I don't like to use my credit card for 5 bucks but it had to be done this time. Please fix those machines I pay cash.! So much to do and see it's a whole day experience . Enjoy

Yelp
Recently, I wrote to American Dream Mall because a woman was in the bathroom and needed to change a disabled adult and there was a handicap stall, however the baby changing station was outside the stall and way too small to change a handicapped adult. I was very happy to get a reply that they do have this accommodation for disabled adults. If you have a handicapped teenager or adult, these are the locations of the family restrooms that were emailed to me: Please know that we do have family restrooms equipped with adult changing tables, designed to accommodate our guests with disabilities. These are located throughout the facility, including: - in the Avenue (Level 1) - in the food court in Court C (Level 3) - next to IT SUGAR (Level 1) - inside of DreamWorks Water Park

Yelp
American Dream is a wild place. After my first visit I decided that you could probably spend one entire month here and not do the same thing twice. There are just SO many things under one roof. So many attractions and activities, so many shops, so many eateries. I was seriously blown away. From indoor skiing to gold mining to waterparks and fine dining. It's just so much to take in. American Dream is like something you'd find in Vegas or Orlando, so to have attractions like this right here in North Jersey is great. I have a feeling I'll be in many times over the years with my kids. We got a combo pass for Legoland and Sea Life and both were great (separate reviews to come). This was the perfect way to spend a few hours indoors on a cold winter day, and I was super impressed with both. Giving 3 stars for some weird logistical issues that I'd think would have been better thought out at a five BILLION dollar establishment: - Once you arrive there are no signs that show you where to go for specific attractions. The info is of course online, but if you don't look it up beforehand you'll end up driving around in circles. They have four different areas to park (A,B,C,D) and it would be smart to list out the attractions next to each parking area. Instead it literally says 'attractions and dining' under each letter. My husband and I thought this was hilarious because well duh, the whole mall is comprised of attractions and dining. People need to know where to go. - Once you do park you end up on the ground floor near an elevator bank. Signage at the elevator bank would also be helpful so you know what floor to go to. Ex - visiting Sea Life. Great. Take the elevator to floor 2. There is no signage, so it's a guessing game. - There are only two elevator banks in the entire mall which feels super low considering at least half of the crowd has a stroller in tow. Overall, this is one of the coolest places that I've been to and it blows my mind that it's in East Rutherford. Cannot wait to come back and for my next visit I think I'll take my daughter to the Nickelodeon Amusement Park. Logistical weirdness aside, it's definitely worth the visit.

Yelp
I love coming to the American Dream Mall and trying new places out. Each time I come I always discover new things to do. There are a ton of stores to shop at including Zara, Aritzia, Primark, high end stores and more! They also have a ton of entertainment spots including: ice rink, arcades, water park, Nickelodeon theme park, big snow and more. They also have many dining options. They have two food courts (one on each side) and a bunch of restaurants. My favorite is the Yard House and Vinoteca for a wine tasting experience. If you're in the area you have to check them out!

Yelp
American Dream Mall a place I wanted to visit for a long time and we just did that during Labor Day weekend. The best of all the New Jersey transit was free that weekend even better. It was only a 15 minute ride from port authority and we arrived in front of the mall. Upon entering the mall was so nice and clean! A lot of expensive brand stores. Also multiples places to take pictures. A huge food court with a lot of eateries! Amusement and waterpark but the waterpark will be close for some time so make sure to check websites before. H mart supermarket just opened. Just a lot of things happening at this mall if you are bored one day and wanted to do something indoor! Very good day trip to explore.
