My daughter broke her arm in this town, but that has absolutely nothing to do with American Ice Co. Cafe, just a little tidbit that I thought would be fun to share.
The American Ice Co. Cafe is one of the most delightful cafes I've ever been to, and that's saying a lot because the dozens of bots that follow my account know how much I love a cafe.
We came around the lunch hour and the restaurant was busy, but there was still plenty of seating. We grabbed a table outside and were quickly served our drinks by a very friendly waiter. We also ordered a few sandwiches and some tomato soup which took a little longer to find their way to our mouths, but came all the same.
There was apparently a "soup crisis" according to the waiter, which is why our food was delayed. I don't know what that means, but if that soup was born out of a crisis, I can't imagine what would happen if it was created in normal circumstances. By that, I mean that it was without a doubt some of the best tomato soup I've ever had. My wife, who is as passionate about soup as she is about our marriage I'm pretty sure, has claimed that it is the best soup she's ever had in her life. Tall words but they check out seeing as she continues to talk about it several weeks after our visit.
Everything was delicious. The coffee, the sandwiches, the soup, the water in the copper cups, everything. Loved it.
